The most honest service around. I thought I needed a big expensive job done and Charlie told me I didnt need all that yet. Most shops would have done the job whether it was needed or not and Charlie saved me money that didnt need spent.I have had 2 times now where mechanical failure happened mid day and Charlie and the crew said bring it in now and we will look. They had me in and out and fixed within 20 minutes. It is not often to find an old school shop with the old school honesty and integrity.I can not say enough about how much I appreciate this business.Thank you Charlie and Aamco bloomington il.

Very nice gentlemen work here. Were able to help me when I was in trouble. Driving through with a flat and had no jack and they helped me out without hesitation even though it was closing time. You dont get this kind of service anymore these days.

Charlie and the gang had my Dodge truck running better than ever. Three years after they did transmission work for me and had my truck shifting the way it should I decided to let them work on my front end. I am glad I did, it runs straight down the road now, an issue the dealer could not figure out. No more rattling and clunking. I hope to not have an excuse to see them again but if I have any issues I am certain they will take care of me and at a price more fair than the dealer.

Charlie was the mechanic working on my car and they were very pleasant with everything. They kept in contact with me the whole time and weren’t trying to be dishonest with me about what needed to be repaired. Highly recommended

My son is a student at ISU. On 10/7 he was having car problems and we had it towed to AAMCO in Bloomington. After looking it over for 2 days they could not find the problem he was having. The bottom line is a lot of kids at school have their parents credit cards. There are a lot of shops that will take advantage of that. AAMCO was honest and did not charge me for the time they spent, the only thing I paid for was the towing. If anyone is looking for a good and honest shop go to AAMCO.

Had the motor worked on my Buick. It was leaking antifreeze out of the intake. The work was done in good time and all is well. Everything is going great sense the work has been done. Thanks again for all your help!!!

I took my car in March 30th, 2017. They did a complete diagnostic check. They discovered a leak in my transmission. Gave me options and cost estimates. My car is older so they suggested I drive it and refill fluids as I go. The news was not good but they were very helpful so I could make an informed decision. I had a coupon for free diagnostic testing. They filled my transmission with 4 quarts and said there is no charge. I was disappointed in the result, not due to their fault, but the age of my car. I would take any vehicle to AAMCO with complete confidence.

Our transmission died unexpectedly on a trip. We didnt know anything about this city, but our tow truck recommended AAMCO Transmissions and they towed our car there. AAMCO ordered a new transmission, and it took a while for the transmission to get delivered, but AAMCO did a very good job in installing it and our car works wonderfully. We couldnt be happier with their work. Thank you AAMCO.

Transmission was being a bit herky jerky. They took a look at it and it needed some more fluid. They threw in a quart of fluid at no charge. Really nice workers and it only took 15 minutes.

My transmission went out while passing through Illinois. I contacted this shop and asked them if they would do the job. They said yes and told me specifically where to put the car. I had the car towed to the spot they told me too, the car was set down right by the wall of their shop, feet from their door. The following day, I went in and made a 50% down payment on the job. While shipping the transmission, I called them and they let me know the car had been backed into.I was shocked, but I did not make trouble, because they said the driver claimed he had hit it.Instead of helping me get the guys information, I had to run around with the police department, who had to call them, and so the circle went around, until finally I got what I needed. After this, they claimed to the insurance company that the car wasnt even on their lot and they were not liable, I was shocked that they claimed it wasnt even on their lot, it was right by their wall, did they have no lot at all? When the transmission arrived, I contacted them and they needed the keys to do the work. I had given them the keys and made this clear to them. I told them to call me back once they found them.I received no phone call, so I called the day after the next, and they said they found them and would start first thing next week.I called the following week to ask if work had begun and they couldnt tell me even that, I told them to call me once they knew. They didnt. I called again that Wednesday, hoping the car would be done by Friday at least, after all it should only take them a day to do the job. They said they were backed up and wouldnt know when theyd get to it. I let them know it was suppose to be first thing this week and I asked for a date. The man I spoke to said, if your going to throw a fit, you can have your money back and pick your car up whenever.Now... I hadnt raised my voice or tone. I hadnt whined. There was no crying. I just didnt a date and I was persistent about getting a date.He wouldnt give me an answer. And thats how that call ended. At this point, I didnt know if the work was going to be finished. Obviously I didnt want them to do the job, but being from out of state and having already paid half down plus a tow, not to mention needing body work now, I really had no choice.I called back and fortunately talked to the secretary, who though she never could remember to call me back about anything, did somehow manage to get the techs to give me a date. They said, next week on wednesday, they will start the job.Now they knew my situation, they knew I was from out of state, any rational person could understand fat driving in from out of state requires a bit of planning.I still didnt know if anything was for sure. I couldnt plan or coordinate anything. I already had to cancel plans to get help getting there because of them pushing the day job off. I wasnt sure if this would happen again and it was frustrating.Fortunately, they did start that Wednesday and they finished that Friday. Two weeks after the transmission arrived in their shop.I was then left with a car with a new transmission and $1400 in body work damages.Thank you Aamco.

Nobody in Champaign would look at a Subaru tramsmission, so I took it to Aamco Bloomington to look at it. At this point the transmission was not out, just slipping, so I was taking preventative measures. After leaving the car there I rode on my bike around town all day (by the way they did not call me when they were done checking it out, I had to call them at the end of the day). I got back to the shop for them to tell me that they noticed a check engine light was on, told me that there were cylinder misfire problems from the read out, and that they never looked at the transmission. I knew about the check engine light, but had specifically asked them to look at the transmission (since thats what they do!). What was I to do, stay the night in a hotel, and ask them to look at it the next day? I went home frustrated, and two months later the transmission went out. You could have at least looked at the transmission when I had asked you to.
