Service didnt fix my cars problem. I brought my car a second time this week and I am very disappointed. My car is under warranty because I paid $2300 to Royal VW to fix my cars engine 6 months ago. The same problems occurred again this week. My engine light turned on and I brought my car. The worst part is they replaced some parts in the engine this week and today the same issues come off again. Second time in the same week. They are not able to repair it! This is very unprofessional for the Volkswagen dealership and service. You guys know how to charge an astronomical amount of money from your customers but I wish you would know how to fix and repair cars as well.

If I could give zero stars I would. They dont honor the VW loaner car program when your car has to be service across multiple days. The Service Advisor we talked to was rude and condescending. The Sales Manager, Chris P was also rude. Our leased VW Tiguan had the EPC warning light come on while we were in Bloomington and this dealership was less than helpful. They wanted us (including our 6 year old) to walk over 2 miles to a family members house. They finally agreed to give us a ride but only after they were guilted into it in front of other customers.

I was taken advantage of by Royal VW.In Nov 2019 they did a coolant flush which then clogged up my heating core. They accepted no responsibility for it. In January 2020 I paid them $900 to replace my heating core and flush my coolant 4 times to flush it allll out.May 2020 (5 months later) another dealership says my coolant is bad and needs flushed. Hmmm. I guess VW coolant goes bad in 5 months.Here I am 11 months later and my heating core has failed. Not only that, they actually DIDN’T flush my coolant (which I paid for) and so my heating core is broken AND now my radiator is busted because of the bad coolant they didn’t flush! I’m looking at $2,000 in repairs to fix the issue I paid them $900 to fix 11 months ago.Do not go here. You will pay big money for nothing.

Called about getting a timing belt replaced on my vw beetle tdi and was told we cant work on that its to old. That,s strange that a dealership would refuse to work on their own make of car. I was told to call world wide auto, that really makes me want to buy a VW with customer service like that!

I just had my 3rd visit to the store in the past 11 months, and each time was a pleasant and professional experience. What I think might help anyone checking out this business is that I think this is a very honest business. In my last two transactions I went in thinking I would have to buy a replacement product. My wife went in with her checkbook expecting to pay. When she went to check out she was told it was no charge. Today, I was told over the phone that my very expensive air mattress was going to replaced free of charge. I have been disabled for 20 years and have been swindled and taken advantage of by the best of them. I trust Anderson’s, and I think you can as well.

First, let me say that mechanics are fantastic and very professional!Second, do NOT take your car here unless you have absolutely no other option. They will rip you off in a heartbeat with their exorbitant prices.I brought my car in because the oil-pan bolt had become stripped (A common problem in VW Jettas that is caused by inaccurate torque specs provided by the company.) I was quoted $800 to replace it. When I asked for a cost breakdown, they became hostile and passive-aggressive. They told me the parts would be $500 and the labor $200. However, when I did some digging online I found that the only parts you need are an oil pan ($50-$150) and a tube of silicon sealant ($10-$40). As to the work, it requires disconnecting some 20ish torx screws, removing the oil pan, cleaning the interface, and laying a silicon bead, and then replacing it and the screws. An extremely simple fix.I now have a fully functional car again and it only cost me $120 to do it, instead of the ludicrous $800 I was quoted.If you need work done on your car, go to Dales Dirty Diesel or World Wide Auto.

We were trying to buy a used truck from them for my son. We went and test drove it. But, they said it was a new acquisition so it still needed inspected and a small exhaust leak repaired before it would be available. We went home (we live two hours away) and kept in communication with them for about a week. We made daily requests on how the repairs were coming and when it would be ready for purchase. On Friday evening our salesman said it was almost done and they would be getting it ready over the weekend. When we called back Monday morning we were told that it had been sold over the weekend to someone else. I wasted over a week of car buying time waiting for them thinking I had chosen the vehicle I was going to purchase and looked at no others. I could not believe they sold it right out from underneath us on a guaranteed sale. I will never go here and hope no one else does either.

I have leased from this dealership twice now and it has been a pleasant experience. They make it really easy and hassle free. The salesman Ryan Smiley wasnt salesman slick and pushy and continues to make sure things go well after the sale. They have a nice selection of cars to choose from and service like oil changes is pleasant with free coffee and new cars to look at, and also a bookstore and places to eat within walking distance for passing the time.

He is very professional: he answered my questions clearly and concisely, and set up a test drive and had it ready when I arrived. He was transparent and honest and offered valuable info to help me with my decision making. The costs and paperwork was straight forward, just as was stated by Alex in the beginning; all-in-all the process was as expected, and pleasant. I am very happy with the purchase, and with the dealership.

Went in the dealer knowing my car would need to be ordered. Frank helped me spec the car after he noticed none were available and we submitted the order sheet same day. From order to delivery was 5 weeks!!! I couldnt have asked for a nicer salesman or finance manager during the process. I havent had to deal with their service center, but so far the sales side has been great.

Although the staff are very friendly and the shuttle service/drivers are excellent, I would NOT have your vehicle serviced here. I used to have my 2014 VW serviced with Royal until I discovered they failed to even perform a simple oil change correctly. Twice my car was serviced properly but the last oil change I received from Royal they put my car a qt low on oil. One they didnt charge me for the appropriate amount of oil. Secondly, when my oil was found to be in terrible shape and I had a premature oil change done the mechanic measured the drained amount. My mechanic then called VW of America to confirm the proper oil volume, since the measured volume was insufficient per the owners manual. It was then I checked my service records with Royal to see if all of my oil changes had been performed incorrectly. Back when this occurred I called the service department to report the incident I barely received an apology. Since it was just the one service interval I was told it was unlikely to have caused any permanent damage to my engine. Fast forward 2 years and ~20k miles I am now having to have a complete timing chain and tensioner replacement costing upwards $3,000. When I asked why a 5 year old car with 90k miles would require such a costly repair (not something included in recommended service to even check for wear) I was told it was likely due to poor maintenance of oil changes (which I have had done at recommended intervals since I purchased the car). I cant confirm this failure is a direct result of Royals poor service but I believe without a doubt was a contributing factor. I wouldnt risk the longevity of your vehicle with their technicians, its cheaper to drive to Indianapolis than to pay for engine repairs...

DO NOT get your Volkswagen serviced here. My car has been in their shop 6 times for 3 different issues. Two thousand dollars in parts and labor later I still have all three issues and will be taking my car somewhere else. My car is at the point of being unsafe and the SERVICE MANAGER says his mechanic of 40 years has never seen the issues and doesnt know whats going on with my car.First Issue: Oil pressure light came on and I asked them to replace my oil pressure switch before anything else so I could make sure I was getting a good reading. Was told I was wrong, it was not the oil pressure switch and just needed an oil change/filter. They were wrong. I still have the issue but I know now it is just the switch.Second issue: EPC and engine light came on. I took it in and they told me it was the intake manifold causing misfire and cam shaft position sensor codes so I believed them and had it replaced. After getting my car back two days later it felt like it blew up while driving and could not go more than 15 mph. Had to have it towed back (out of my own pocket) to them so they could tell me it was a coil pack that went bad. Had it replaced and still continue to have the issue. Service manager just took my car for a drive today and said that they only fixed the misfire codes and not the cam shaft position sensor code it had. Still have a check engine light on from that.Third Issue: Clunking while braking and turning. Was told it was sway bar links. I trusted them yet again and spent a weeks paycheck to get it fixed. Didnt even make it home before my front end starts shaking to the point I have pull over and call them back. Was met with a response of We fixed a seperate issue than the issue you were complaining of, We didnt even hear the one you described but still made me pay and gave me an unsafe car to drive home.These people obviously do not care about their quality. They are getting people in and out as quickly as possible to get as much money as possible. It is a shame they are allowed to carry a volkswagen title on their business causing over trusting and hopeful people like myself to be lured in and dumped on.

I just purchased my first Subaru and I love it. The experience at the Bloomington IN dealership was fantastic. Vadim was my salesman and he made the process seamless. I needed a vehicle for me and my two dogs and the Outback was the perfect fit. He helped me through the process of selection and allowed me to drive several vehicles and take them home to test on the pups. In the end it was a great, honest, fun experience and I would recommend them highly.

I cant believe this place has 4.5 rating?!!! Are they not written by employees?! After reading other positive reviews I think some are FAKE! Real reviews will mentioned specific experience like the issue with your car, what you did there etc. Those FAKE reviews just throw in a list of positive words that describe very abstract feelings. And I have known them for 2 years I can tell you theyre bad dealer.I used to own a VW and used to go to this dealer, and they ripped me off every time. It was SUPER EXPENSIVE, they never offer a diagnose for free, always charge $100 to diagnose, then scared me away with $700+ bill to repair. Then I could find a local car shop for $200 - $300.On the last day before I sold the car, we wanted read out the mileage. It is just a matter of connecting to the computer, read, done. But they ask for $110 bucks, they said to read the mileage it will take 1 HOUR labor. Wow! I think either theyre very bad LIAR, or theyre too stupid that it will take 1 HOUR to connect the computer... Either way, they assume the customer is stupid too and want to make free money.

I worked with Kevin Stryker on the purchase of our Subaru. He was excellent. He was very professional, straight forward, easy to talk to, always available and worked very hard to get me a deal that would work for me and my husband. After the purchase, he took the time to sit in the car with me and go over everything. Usually buying a car is painful and you feel like you are getting taken advantage of. I didnt feel this at any point during this experience. And we are loving our new Outback! :)

Ive got to start by saying Kevin Stryker!.. I came in looking for a used car or a lease on a new one, and having zero knowledge about leasing. He explained it all to me and to my surprise, you can finance a lease for whatever amount of miles you think youll average per year. I DID NOT KNOW THIS. Anyways, when it came down to it, Kevin gave me a great deal on buying a new Subaru. He was the most pleasant salesman that I, in my 49 years, have ever dealt with! They quoted me $2,500 higher on the price of a car at another dealership they were going to transfer. They told me the price included incentives I didnt qualify for. When I called the dealership that had the car I found out that was inaccurate. They are friendly people, but seems like they operate as old style salesman who arent very upfront.

My experience with Royal was Awesome. I drove from Greencastle to Bloomington looking at their reviews since I recently moved from Fort Wayne.I got my car serviced in November.Initially my service appointment was setup at a short notice, Thanks to Advisor - Justin Boruff, who helped me squeeze in their busy schedule. I was told itll be a wait for 3 to 4 hrs but my car was done within 2 hrs. I was completely happy with their service.Also the Shuttle driver - Rick Phillips who gave me ride to a nearby mall told me interesting facts about Bloomington and its History and suggested me some nice restaurants when he came to know that I wasnt from Bloomington.After my service I was on my way towards the door when I came across a Wireless charger on display with a VW symbol. I went on to buy it but then asked few questions to the parts sales guy about it, Out of nowhere the parts sales manager popped out and started talking in a rude way. I wasnt happy with the conversation we had and I returned the charger. I then approached Cashier - Haley Eastwood and Advisor - Kyle Kelley, They helped me get hold of Asst. Service Director - Steve Hudson, who helped me resolve the issue along with Service Director - Mike Moore.I appreciate Mike Moores efforts in solving the issue in the best possible.Out of Courtesy Mike even couriered the Wireless Charger to my address. I appreciate the efforts of the entire Royal VW family except the Parts Sales Manager in making my service wonderful and I hope to continue Business with them along with recommending them to everyone.

I have visited here with a friend to try a used Honda Civic 2016. I was shocked to learn that the used car is priced way higher than a new Civic of same model and color. I have pointed this and the manager there is not ready for negotiation even. Pretty bad experience

I called royal about bringing my husbands golf in for an oil change. I wasnt positive if it was a 15 or 16 and I said that over the phone. What I was mostly concerned with was that we were over 10,000 miles and needed an oil change and we had not had one and I wanted to make sure it was covered and free. I called twice and I was told yes since it was less than a year old I could bring it in for the free oil change. Then I ask, is it first come, first serve or do we need to make an appointment. I was told to bring it in. So I make arrangements to have someone follow me to drop it off. I get there at 2:00 and Im told there are no more appointments that day, they can get me in at 10:30 the next day. Ok.. then later that evening we were called and told only 2015s get the free oil change, 2016s are not covered. Thanks VW. It was not that clearly put to me over the phone or I wouldnt have wasted my time bringing it by. I wouldnt have wasted the other persons time to follow me either. Unprofessional, and no apologies.

I dont understand what is happening with customer support these days, but this place is HORRIBLE. I had an incident back in February where I needed an oil change, recall service, plus a maintenance issue on my not even year old Jetta... setup the appointment online two weeks prior, go to drop it off at 7:30 the morning of, no appointment on the schedule. Ok, I can deal with that. I get a call mid-morning saying I need my tires aligned for $99 - I doubt I do, but say okay to go ahead and have it done. I get a call at 5:00PM saying it will be another hour until my car is done - I say no, it will be ready when I get there (I live an hour away and it was there for 9 hours). I pick it up, the recall was not serviced nor was the squealing tire noise addressed... they just managed to do an oil change and upsell me $99 for the tire alignment. GREAT.Call back this morning, needing a routine oil change and requesting that the tire noise be looked at (yet again since its never been addressed), but I need to get a loaner vehicle or shuttle back to work. Shuttle only goes 10 miles or itll cost me $35 to get a loaner vehicle. No way around it.I cant understand how you are in business considering this is how you treat your customers.

I found the salesman and finance manager (Frankie/ L. and AJ P. respectively) to be superb. Pressure was absent.We were able to negotiate a super price on what we wanted. Their willingness to find what we wanted and work within our financial model was nice - they did not try to up-sell at all.The parts department person was super helpful when I went in the next day to get some accessories.The financing special by Subaru was superb.And the car is just right: 34.8 mpg with true, symetric AWD. Amazing really.

I ordered two additional keys for my VW convertible after I had misplaced one. Keys have to be added to the car by a dealer. The keys and programming were $250. I gave them the original key, they had the two new ones. The key programming was such that the next day the car would not start. I had to have it *towed*. They damaged the electrical system so that somehow the driver side car window would spontaneously roll down, rarely the passenger side, and there were other little oddities. They took apart all three keys, managed to make one work, and returned my car with electrical damage and one working key. They charged me labor for all of this, over $900. So, in trying to ensure I had a spare key, I spend over a thousand dollars ended up with one key and electrical damage.If my care needs work it goes to MicroMotors. If I need a dealer, I drive to Indianapolis. I went to Dreyer for work, and have had quite competent service.Royals level of incompetence, bovine indifference to damage, and unyielding insistence that I paid for time it took to damage my car was unique in my life experience.Avoid these people like the plague.

Took my volkswagen in for maintenance before i made the move to Washington state. they replaced my oil pan but apprently forgot to screw it down which caused a total mess and ended up having to pay $5,500 in other repairs. they didnt wash my car or anything after it was serviced..very unprofessional
