Very rude staff. My wife went there with appointment to get her routine eye checkup and the lady who helped her was so rude that she wouldn’t even bother to lookup her information in the computer and keep asking if you can pay out of pocket as the insurance information doesn’t show up. Do not recommend this place.

Im shocked with all the bad reviews. They were wonderful for me. Explained everything they were doing and why. Explained all my insurance with what was covered and what wasnt. I saw Dr. Loesh and he was great. Got my first pair of glasses ordered and I will definitely go back!

This was my first time at Visionworks and I will not be going back. The staff and doctor rushed through our exams and didnt appear to really care about us. The doctor did a very brief exam and I realized later there were several things that every other eye doctor does that he didnt bother to do. He dismissed the one question I had and told me to ask at the front (when I went up there they told me they couldnt answer my question because they needed info from the doctor first). THEN, I get home and realize they charged me $50 for the spherical machine portion that I didnt get done because insurance doesnt cover it, so now I have to call them and get my money back.I absolutely do not recommend this place.

We are a family of four and all of us wear glasses and been purchasing our glasses/ contacts from Visionworks at Stratford for atleast last 15 yrs. The experience this time was the worst ever. Looks like there had been a lot of change in staffing at this location. Starting from Dr. Loesch not being there regularly. My prescription was totally incorrect ( diff dr.)with very different prescription than what it should be.... way stronger then what it should have been bec after three weeks of struggle and constant eye pressure I had to get it rechecked and I made sure this time it was w Dr Loesch. I had progressive lenses for 1st time and I understand that it takes a while to get used to it. I watched videos and studied well how the progressive lenses works and continuously tried for three weeks but the prescription was very strong. I came back and talked to Deanne.... I’m not sure but I think she could be the manager but her attitude was horrible. When I explained to her abt my prescription she kept talking to me like I’m an idiot and forcing me to keep the glasses and that I’m not wearing the glasses properly. I’m wearing glasses for past 25 yrs. if Visionworks advertises 100 days replacement then why was I being forced to believe that I need to keep my glasses. I insisted that I want another test from Dr Loesch and finally when I was retested ofcourse instead of -3.75 my actual prescription was -2.75....Then when I told Deanne abt it she seemed irritated and told me that I need to be sure bec the replacement is only “ one time”. If your dr prescribed wrong then how is it my fault? Deanne is a very impatient person and has horrible customer service. My new frame was also lose on one side and when I told her to tighten it up... she started wiggling the other side and started telling me how that is how the frame is. Explains to me how I should be putting and taking out my glasses. I’m not a little kid getting my first glasses. I’m thinking abt going to a different place for all my family needs for future eye care. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE!!!

My first experience with Visionworks and I will not be returning to this location. It’s unfortunate because the eye doctor here is phenomenal. He was very patient and very helpful. However, the woman up front named Deane was extremely unprofessional. She was rude and very abrasive. She was the one that was supposed to be attending me and she kept walking away from me to help other customers. When I asked her questions, she seemed annoyed by what I was asking. At one point, I had to repeat my question because she was too focused on what the other staff was asking the people that were coming in instead of paying attention to me. I would recommend the doctor but unfortunately at this location, Deane would ruin your experience.

Limits only few customers inside at one time. Cant use 2for 1 glasses special if you use an insurance coverage. Waited a long time for some help, even had to ask for help several times. Yet staff has time to chat among themselves and even long chats on phone. Staff is very rude to customers.

Went for a yearly check up and when I got there the manager Deanne wanted my 11 month old to wear a mask!! It was a family check up, so I had to bring the baby. I told her hes not even one yet she replied, its required in the store. Which again I told her children 2 years and younger do not wear masks, and that he could die. How do you not know CDC guidelines being a manager?Also, the doctors are great but the people in the front are so rude. They alone made me leave and not go back. I received a text reminder for my yearly check up and it said I could call, also. I have 3 appointments to make. Its just easier for them to do it over the phone. Well, they said no and that theyre busy. The time they spent on the phone talking to me the appointment couldve been made. I also asked if there was any hidden fees and if everything would be covered!! Surprise, surprise. Once we got there there is a $20 dollar fee for each person. Thats fine but thats why I called. Wasted my time.

I will never buy glasses from Visionworks again. This store has horrible Customer Service. I got 1 pair of glasses right before Covid. Upon bringing them home I noticed patches on the lenses which I believe is a defect from whatever generic coating they poorly applied upon creating the lenses. When I tried to provide the basic information about the situation I was dismissed. Anthony and another young lady kept talking about cleaning the glasses. There was a lack of listening skills. Point blank... I lost my temper cursed because bottom line I tell the truth about a poor service in the first place and there was nothing they could do. What I did get was Anthony saying he was going to call The Mall Cops to come and get me. What a joke! Going back to Eye Boutique in Schaumburg... I got two other pairs from them in perfect condition. I give them no gold stars!

A girl with black hair at front desk had a rude attitude from the start. She complained that they had to call me several times. I gave them my new number the last time I was in to a man. This store must have new owners because it was not like this 8 or 10 years ago. She must have asked me 50 questions regarding my health history and familys history. Complaining if we dont get this done fast I wont be onetime for my appointment and I was on time. I had tried to call this store numerous times last week to reschedule and try to get through online and couldnt. After done with questions, she told me to go sit in the far corner of store. Then another young girl came and took me to the exam room, stating it will be $60 for an exam. I already told the other girl that I had an exam 2 months ago and even showed it to her. When I came out and asked her why she sent me for another exam, she got real rude again and said the exam papers with all the eye information wasnt enough she needs a prescription from the doctor, for readers. I said never mind, told her she wasted my time and I will never come back to this store again and left. I only need readers as I am having eye surgeries for Salzmans nodule degeneration and cataracts and will get prescription eyeglasses if needed after the surgeries. She should have been able to tell what size readers from the detailed medical report from the exam.

Do NOT use this location. I booked an appointment online weeks ago. Scheduled a contact exam for my daughter, marked the box saying she has never worn contacts before. (The info icon explains they need to know that so they have the time to teach her.) Also, filled out all the insurance information in advance.Arrive at the appointment, they start by wanting me to fill out paperwork. I explain I already did that. Oh. Then they tell me they need to call the insurance to verify it. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF FILLING OUT ANYTHING IN ADVANCE?! After my daughter sees the Dr, he calls me back to tell me she wants contacts. (Yep...knew that)Explains which ones we are going to try. Tells us to go wait in the waiting room. 20 minutes later a tech asks if weve picked our frames yet. I tell her we are only getting contacts. We go to the desk to check out. Still have no contacts or training. She asks how many boxes we are ordering. I saw we dont even have samples yet. She said you cant have any samples, she needs to come back to have a training class.....WHAT???? We set up a training appointment, she has no explanation for why she cant learn now since that is what I scheduled. So then she gives us the prescription, which is useless, because the Dr didnt even sign it. Again, I repeat, do NOT use this location.

Im going through a divorce and I had to come in quickly and exhaust my soon to be ex husbands benefits before he removed me from his plan. Thankfully the girls were able to take me in without an appointment and I was able to get glasses made. Glasses are looking fabulous!! Thank you to the Bloomingdale staff for being so quick.

I came in with my granddaughter (GD, for short) looking to get her some new paw patrol glasses that they had on special. I recall seeing at least 3 employees present, no other customers. Good news for us we made an appointment for an exam (it was about 2:45pm) at 3pm. Now my GD is 4 and as any other toddler had little patience so while we waited until 3:20, keep in mind no new customers came, she was bouncing off the walls with impatience. When i told them we were going to try again another time they immediately took her in. Why they made is wait i dont understand at all. They said they had other customers but i hadnt seen one since we came in. After the exam we found out they only had one pair of paw patrol glasses for girls and of for boys. They wanted to do a deal for one but i wanted 2. They did give us a small box for glass cleaning for making is wait (i felt more like i was getting a cheap bribe) so we ended up leaving with just a prescription that was quite an ordeal.Something else i have to mention but while we were waiting the staff were eating on the sales floor, i couldnt name names but the manager didnt have a problem with it. Now there are plenty of places to take a break and eat at a mall but having sandwiches behind the counter and eating on the floor while customers are waiting? I found this slightly rude and really showed a lack of interest on taking care of us. I bought my glasses at another store i will review them as well, a very different experience.

I went in for an eye appointment, and it was the fastest appointment I’ve had. There was no hassle at all.I was helped by their employee Naima, she helped with all my paperwork, and later helped me pick out new frames for myself. The staff there really understands and caters to their patient base.

I had an eye exam with Dr. Ada Avary. She checks thoroughly. In addition, she patiently answers all of your questions and shows concerns. I will recommend Dr. Avary. The staff knows what they’re doing and seem efficient.

Visionworks in Stratford Mall scheduled my appointment for 10:00AM. I get to the mall and all accesses are closed until 11:00 AM. Why schedule a patients appointment if tour closed? I attempted to call Visionworks and no one answers because they are closed! Horrible service!!

I came on a Sunday for an appointment, filled out paperwork, few minutes later they tell me they are running an hour behind and will be taking me then. Really?! Because apparently people have nothing else better to do on the weekend then sit around at Visionworks. If they cant perform a simple task like setting an appointment, I sincerely doubt the professionalism of the Optometrist. Save yourself the trip, I wish I could have.

My husband and 4 year old daughter needed glasses, and we came to this location because they carried the brand and style my daughters specialist recommended.There were 4 women working the front desk and 1 customer who was browsing unassisted. When we asked for help they treated us like an inconvenience. We had to ask twice for them to show us where the style was located, we had to request that one of these ladies physically get up and help is find them. They ended up being in a drawer under the display.The doctor was very nice, very funny, and very helpful. He actually gave us more tips on my daughters condition, and things that would improve her vision.When we came to pick up both sets of glasses the woman was no help at all. Ive never received a set of glasses where they were not fitted to you upon pick up. She made no attempt. My husband tried to request this, but she would only do what he specifically requested. Since my daughter is only 4 she doesnt know what a proper fit is yet and cannot make such requests. Ultimately I think my daughters glasses are too small, but my husbands seem ok.We will not be returning and we will definitely not be recommending this store. Which is sad, because the doctor was very nice.

Literally a joke. They gave me glasses completely wrong prescription from what my paperwork was, after fixing them they were still wrong, so I saw a second doctor at the location to make sure it wasnt my other doctor, still got glasses that are horrible and do not fix the problem. Dont waste your time here.

I came to Vision Works for an eye exam and glasses. I have horrible vision and I’m aware that not many glasses will “fit” my prescription. But after I got my prescription the staff was very helpful in helping me pick out my frames. The were very detailed about the type of frames i should get and what I should stay away from. They were very helpful from when I entered to when I left. I don’t understand some of these reviews that people have left, because the staff was very professional. They informed me on everything that my insurance would and would not cover. Picked up my glasses and I will definitely bring my husband and kids back.

One of my all time favorite store to visit for routine eye checkups and to buy accessories. Store has wide variety of accessories and stored them in a nicely manner where all customers can easy to access. Staff members were also nice and very helpful.One of the staff, Monisha and Dr. Loesch are very friendly and knowledgeable. They help me clear my all doubts and questions. Service is nice and everything, but i still havent received my contact lenses. Nice service doesnt mean anything then. Ordered new prescriptions for backup glasses and contacts. Glasses arrived in timely manner. 5 weeks in and still no contacts. It is going to be 6 weeks however, since I received contacts are waiting in uk customs nonsense. Never doing business he again. Sears was my original dealer, and they have always been reliable.

Went in for an eye exam and ended up needing glasses. However no one I interacted with was that friendly and I didnt really know what was going on the entire time because no one told me anything. Granted I should have asked more questions but the ones I did ask just felt like they were dismissed. Also they couldnt find my insurance even though they accept 1000s of insurance plans 🙄. So I had to pay out of pocket for glasses that Im not even 100% sure I need. I dont recommend coming to this location if you want an eye exam go to lenscrafters or and actual optometrists office.

When we came they told us that we don’t have appointment. We showed the message still they say no.There were 3 women working the front desk. Their behavior was so rude. Really disappointed, I ordered my sons glases two weeks ago, the lady who did my order told me that they will be calling me back as soon as my order arrived, well two weeks passed already and I call, the same lady who did my order answer my phone call and told me: oh! Yes your order is ready for pick up. I asked her why nobody call me and her answer was: we never call when the order is ready to pick up .... REALLY!!!... My mother was just here, when we walked in only had two people working. I was very nervous, worrying about how my mother would be taken care of because she is very old. The young lady was very quick in greeting us and getting my mother in the back to Dr Loesch’s office. The doctor was amazing, very thorough with the his exam! My mother felt very comfortable! After the exam was done he walked us out to the ladies in the front! The ladies were great! I was so surprised they didn’t tell us “let’s go pick out a frame.” She told my mother to grab a seat and asked her questions on what kind of frames she was looking for and had her show her the last pair my mother owned. My mother wanted to stick to what she previously had, the lady BROUGHT my mother frames to choose from, instead of having a old lady just walking around a huge store roaming. I was very surprised and happy with her. My mother loves her frame. When my mom picked up the glasses the guy in the back came out to make sure they fit her face and made sure she was able to clearly. I will definitely be recommending visionworks to friends and family. I’m sure the whole staff is great but I definitely recommend to work with Fara and Shamila. Those two ladies were the first two

I had an appointment on 1/14/2019 and from the time I come in to the time I left I felt welcomed from the whole staff. Monisha greeted me and helped me get started before I saw the doctor. I wasn’t planning on buying glasses since my prescription did not change but Monisha explained my insurance and I got my new glasses covered in full by my insurance. I would definitely recommend this location and to see Monisha.

On Saturday Oct. 20th Shomaela Ahmed went out of her way in getting me a pair of loaner glasses to hold me over until I was able to get my bifocals. My glasses had broken that morning and I was in dire need of some help. She called several Visionworks and also was able to get me in for an eye exam. Such customer service is outstanding in a day and age when not many people are willing to be so helpful. Thank you again Shomaela for being you. Sincerely, Mrs. J. Cushing.

If youre looking for the cheapest eye exam to get a new prescription then this is your place. Get in and get out dont let them used car salesmen you into anything more. I was recommended into a better contact my first of multiple visits here by doctor John Loesch. A real scam artist. Within a month I had torn every contact for my right eye out of a 6 month supply. When I went back to buy the old brand I had used for years I found out my better contacts were infact just the more expensive contact. They were $40 more per box. Then when I bought my 2 sets of contacts within 1 month they said they would over night them to me at no cost. It took over a week for me to get them. I then also had to contact them and go to them to get them. They claimed I was not contact because there was no contact technician or some BS to do so. To top it off they were supposed to be shipped directly to my home. Then when I tried to settle insurance claims on my contacts their employees told me they couldnt do that. I had to speak with a manager to get it done because their employees are too lazy to do the work. They are very nice and polite there but they dont know the difference between their own rear end and a hole in the ground. Very frustrating working with this office. Sorry to the few people who actually know how to do their job there like Monisha. The rest make you look bad.

Receptionist here had some serious attitude. Place is open till 9 but appointments are only till 6? And if your like a few minutes late the doctor leaves and you have to reschedule the whole thing over again. Employees here need an attitude check.
