A local coffee in a nice neighborhood. I went on Saturday, October 23, 2021 and thy didn’t let people to go in. You scan a QR code to place an order online and they bring to you. Probably they’re still taking extra precautions for the safety in the covid era which I appreciate actually. Coffee wasn’t bad and the staff was friendly. Good experience and I’d go there again.

After moving out of Manhattan during the pandemic, some of the things I miss most are being able to walk to little shops and small businesses. Then I found this place! One of the best parts of my day off are being able to walk my dog to this little cafe and pick up my coffee on the table out front while my dog has some water. Friendly people and great coffee!

From Baltimore. This is an excellent local coffee shop. Great people fantastic product. If youre out of town and close by this is a must stop.

Croissant was great. But this is not a latte (Will post on Yelp the photo) Not worth the money. I know my coffee and this one was poorly made. No foam, no careful pour of the frothed milk over the espresso. Sad.

Its been 2 and a bit years since I was here with my husband. We still talk about this magical haven of coffee. The cake pops, the coffees, the atmosphere. Pure bliss. Thank you for making our honeymoon even more special. :)

The place has a great vibe, great coffee, and nice and relaxing music playing in the background. Awesome for a quick bite and coffee or a chill place to get some work done. The employees including the owner are all very friendly and welcoming! Would recommend 10/10

This is my neighborhood go-to place; charming, friendly, reliable, dedicated to its customers, it was a mainstay for safe take-out during Covid lockdown. Chai soy latte is my daily fix and the comfort of that little neon “open” sign always cheers me up. What a great anchor and addition to this little Bloomfield neighborhood, with an excellent Green Grocer next door!

Appreciate their openness to feedback and communication.Coffee, pastries, and tea are delicious and special. Customer service was abrupt and condescending. I received guidance on how to order as a first time customer from friendly patrons.

Great danishes and beverages. Its a nice little coffee shop hidden in Bloomfield that gives off those coffee shop vibes. The workers there are very down-to-earth. Will definitely come here again and try their other stuff instead of buying from chain stores

Treats new customers poorly!Today I was having a great morning and decided to take a long walk and give Skiddoo Cafe another try after I was treated poorly during my previous visit six months ago. Perhaps the owner was simply in a bad mood last time? Nope. He was rude again!!!I wanted to order a breakfast pastry, which is a special treat. Since they are caloric, I only order what looks particularly good. I tried to look in the window where you can normally kind of see what is offered, but for whatever reason, I was having trouble seeing them. Since they want customers to order outside and pick up your orders inside, I decided to quickly take a look inside and was then going to try out their QR ordering system. The woman helping me was absolutely lovely. However, the owner was staring at me in a way that reminded me of a German Shepherd trying to decide whether to attack. Since I didnt want an experience like what I had before, I told them about my previous review and that I would order outside. The owner was very rude and told me to leave.I am always polite when ordering and have never been treated this way at any coffee shop or restaurant. My guess is that the owner is scared about his health, which is understandable. I wish he would make adjustments to the cafes operations so that he would not be aggressive with customers who are simply trying to order.-----------------------------------------------------------------(Review from March 2020) I am new customer and very careful about which businesses I enter due to COVID. They were very hostile to me doing what all new customers do -- check out a place and ask questions. I was respectful and wearing a well-fitting KN95 mask. If they are too scared to tend to the basic needs of a new customer, they need to take accountability and adjust their business procedures accordingly. They also didnt give me the option to decide on the tip, but they charged me for one on my credit card (after rude service).Having recently moved to the area, I would have been their ideal loyal customer if they had treated me with just the basic consideration I expect from any business.

I really enjoyed my first visit to the café. Engaging and hospitable owners and staff made an enjoyable experience for more than a few hours today. My cappuccino and, pastries and coffee were outstanding! I will return and I can recommend you visit.

Love this café! The owners Hodge and Evan were very hospitable and very knowledgeable. I love when the owners are actually the face of the business. Quiet, clean, and spacious. Great place to enjoy your coffee/ tea, and do some work on your laptop. Get the matcha latte with ginger!

I love this place, it’s my second home. We go here for the matcha, chai, and sometimes little croissants. It’s got beautiful art, an impeccable jazz playlist, perfectly cared for plants, and a very kind staff. What more could you ask for?

Friendly, local, small business that deserves everyone’s business.

They advertise curbside pickup, but dont have it. You have to get out and pick up your food from the cart outside. This is a problem because I am handicapped. Their coffee is not good. Their danishes are tiny for the cost.

Went out for a 7am pickup on Christmas Eve Eve after preordering the night before. Drinks were made on the spot - had a hot chai and a latte and both were great. The chocolate almond cremes were warm and delicious. Will definitely go back.Update: did a lunch pickup on a Friday. Ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, sous vide turkey sandwich, a latte, and iced matcha. All excellent. Will be my new go-to spot.

Nice coffee place in a quite town

The old man was very rude making my first visit an unpleasant one. His grandson, Michael was very kind and offered to help me navigate their menu. The coffee was also decent so I’m giving 3 stars -2 for rudeness.

Love this place! Beautiful decor and great coffee. Their cold brew is amazing. Today I tried an iced latte with oat milk. It was delicious!!! So smooth and the perfect intensity. The service is also great here.

I love, love, love this place. Excellent coffee with a staggering that knows what there doing. Plenty of room to sit and chill and all of their pastries that are available are great. Oh and they love barry so they win.

My son and daughter in law live around the corner from this charming coffee shop. So jealous!Wonderful European feel to the place and the cafe mocha with a touch of cinnamon (if you like) is delicious! Worth coming from elsewhere to try if youre too far away to walk or jog to it!

I absolutely love this Cafe. The entire staff is so friendly, they remember your face and name and Ive had such great conversations with all of them. I personally think that they have the best coffee in the area. The single origin coffees are always delicious and they have the best cold brew Ive ever tasted. Their pastries and muffins are also very delicious. Please become a patron of this place!

Really lovely cafe. pre-covid, they have a huge extra room inside with seating, tables and stocked bookshelves. can’t wait until that’s open again! i usually order a hot or iced matcha latte and both ways it is probably the tastiest matcha cafe drink i’ve had in ages. i’m a huge fan.

A great place to sit back, relax and enjoy life. Great place for meetings, independent study or just to enjoy really great coffee. However, it is summer and the AC situation isn’t the best and it ends up getting pretty hot. Also, the pastry’s are not good and are overpriced. Besides those two factors, this coffee shop is amazing and blows any sort of competition out of the water.

Ive never had a bad experience here. Espresso drinks are expertly made, drip coffee is awesome, cold brew is strong. Parking is easy, the neighborhood is quiet, atmosphere is cozy. I love this place.

Certainly a place that makes it easy to come back to. Friendly, welcoming, and pleasantly calm atmosphere created by Hodge and Evan. This contrasts the hectic and stressful environment of a busy coffeehouse chain. The music is at a perfect volume, loud enough to enjoy, but doesnt distract from conversation. Im impressed by Evans seriousness and attention to his drink preparation, obviously a master at work (also evidenced by his latte art). Im loving the oatmilk option they offer in their drinks as a dairy substitute. Oh, and the coffee tastes great too!

Excelent place and premium coffee

Fantastic coffee shop and so needed in this area! They have awesome organic coffee and delicious organic chai as well as great pastries and other drinks. Hodge (the owner), Evan and the other employees are all great. Its a wonderful cozy environment and the perfect mid-day getaway.

Nice spot hidden in the middle of a quiet small town. The staff is extremely friendly and is very approachable. The facility is great for hanging, reading a book, or getting work done. The coffee is up to par with any cafe you can visit on the east coast. Try a cortado!

We used to go there on a regular basis, but when the owner is not there, quality drops. We returned our coffees and were never offered a refund and were told we are not welcome there.

My family has been patronizing 23 Skiddoo since right after they opened. We all enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere there. On a hot day this week my daughter and I went in and I ordered an iced cappuccino. I was told that they dont make them and to go to Starbucks if I wanted one. I didnt know I had committed such a faux pas!

It is visually delicious, aromatically satisfying and its palate transitions smoothly, sometimes surprisingly, to a middle note then culminates into a most rewarding and thought provoking finish. Thats one nice journey for a sip...Hodge, the proprietor, will make sure that you enter his establishment as a guest and return as a friend. Expect great things from this hidden gem.
