Vinny was wonderful! My car was hit from behind. Vinny let me bring it by at my convenience, gave me a quick and very reasonable estimate. Drop off and pick up was immediate. Body work was perfect. Would never go anywhere else. P.S. His employees were also pleasant and accommodating
Been going for years and they have never let me down. Vinnie and the whole crew their are top notch. I trust them completely and dont ever bother with dealership service departments not even for a free oil change.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. I brought my car in for a tire plug a few years ago. I waited for almost 45 min. I figured they were busy and I was a walk in but when I went into the office to check, they laughed and said they forgot about me. I was annoyed but forgiving. Fast forward to today…I called ahead having learned from my previous experience and was told to bring my car in. I made my presence known and proceeded to wait for 30 min. This time I didn’t double check, I left. And I will never go back.* There was no one in the office. Two people showed up after me.
Bill and Vinnie saw me right away, figured out the problem with my tire quickly, explained to me what happened, fixed it for me, and told me what to look out for in the next few days. Thanks for a great repair experience.
Was there a week ago on Tuesday March 23rd, 2021. Came in after going to several places in the area to get a simple tire plug and none of those places would do it or had me wait many hours. There is nothing wrong with plugging a tire unless the puncture is in the sidewall, and its quick! The wheel was in the back seat of my car with a 1.5 inch nail in the tread. No guessing where the hole is or anything like that. I asked if they could plug a tire and with no hesitation the guy said sure bring it in. I took it out of the back seat, rolled it in and I was out of there in 5 minutes! Quick, reliable and professional service. No pressure loss after a week of driving every day! Will go there in the future if I need a tire fixed!
Great shop all around. Vin and Bill are always up front and honest with the work I need on my 1998 Blazer. Ive always had a good experience there, I HIGHLY recommend.
Very rude workers in there. Never had a worse experience. No respect. No common courtesy. No communication. Just ignores a potential customer for 30 minutes. I will never try to get my car in there again and strongly recommend that their boss give the 3 or 4 workers that came in Between 7:40am and 8:10, Saturday, Jan.16th, some common courtesy and work ethic training..
I had them change all my tires as well as do several tire repairs over the years and would recommend them to anyone. Shop local.
Worked on my hummer a few times. Good service. Quick. They get a lot of business so dont be surprised if you have to wait until the next day for service. They try very hard to have a same day turn around. A good 95% of the time they succeed. Vinny and staff is very knowledgeable of numerous vehicles. Thanks for installing my bull bar!
VINNY ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL LIKE HE LISTENS TO MY CONCERNS. He ALWAYS ASSURES ME SO WHEN I LEAVE IM FEELING MORE SECURE AND CALM ABOUT WHATEVER SITUATION I HAVE GOING ON WITH MY CAR...THANK YOU SEABREEZE...HAPPY CUSTOMER SINCE 2014...
Vinny and his team do a fantastic job repairing any vehicle. Great communication and will go the extra step to make sure everything is done correct, the first time. I highly recommend Seabreeze Automotive.
We needed to get rid of some tires, and was looking for a facility to take them to. I was referred to Sea Breeze by the local DPW. I called Sea Breeze, and they will take used tires and dispose of them for a small fee. We brought the tires to See Breeze, and they took care of the rest. No hassles. Good staff. Love finding a good local repair shop and tire facility.
Love them . all the guys are super nice. They fix with no b.s! Love that place. Took my truck there and now car plus my brothers car!
Amazing service! I called SAME DAY for a new battery. Vinny was extremely respectful and even with a boot on his foot he had me in and out in less than 10 minutes! As soon as I showed up he was ready to go. The prices were very competitive. They hardly charged at all for the installation of the battery. Will definitely go again. Friendly staff that respects social distancing and has a clean environment is a reassuring thing during these times.
Weve been going to Seabreeze for 20 years now. Vinnie, Bill and Jim are Awesome All our cars are Fixed perfectly everytime. Thx guys.Margie and Carlos Samper
I tend not to leave negative reviews as I give chances to locations... but SeaBreeze automotive not only doesnt give you prices within 3 business days, they assume you would go with their shop, and fails to properly fix cars. Instead of replacing/fixing a damaged bumper, they use zip-ties to hold it together. Keeps dodging phone calls, and is not on schedule. There are busier locations that can deliver the finished product on said time so I dont see why this shop cant.
Will definitely go back.
They are always fantastic with any need I have for my car. Vinnie is the BEST. Great customer service!!
Weve used these guys for over a decade now. Fair prices and they dont gouge on parts. Reliable local shop with great customer service.
Had a couple problems with leaking coolant and they made it right really quickly. Good prices and good guys. They fixed my Journey really fast.
I have been using Seabreeze automotive for many years now and I cannot say enough good stuff about them. There wouldnt be room on the page for me to share every story I have but Ill share a few in the hopes- of showing at least some gratitude to this shop & the great team of mechanics (Ken, John, and especially the manager Vinny) for making things happen! These guys, their manager, and the owner- are not only honest and fair men, but theyre some of the most fantastic mechanics in the tristate area. Dont be surprised or complain if there is a wait to get your vehicle when so many folks count on them for good, HONEST and reliable service for their cars. I cannot say enough good things about Seabreeze so Ill start with a couple of my own experiencesStory #1: A few years back, I was in a bad 3 car pile up. My compact car was crushed in the middle. Two body shops refused to even look at my car, nonetheless touch it. Well, the team at seabreeze decided they could, in fact help me as long as they let me know the risks of making an attempt to fix it with the assessed damage, and the potentials of any hidden/unseen internal damage (what could act up down the line) and they left it entirely up to me. Vinny let me know the round-about cost (low estimate to high estimate), and with all of the information I had, I chose to try and save it. They were able to take my crushed up, not-running, car and turn it into a mechanically sound one that ran well and looked practically new (Yes, while they are mechanics they can handle your body work if you choose, as well)! The first time I got my silvery-blue car back & the new parts re-painted, I did notice the side panel, bumper, and driver door was not blue enough to match the rest. Knowing how much I had spent to fix the car, Vinny worked to make it right until I was completely happy with the color- match. Once re-done, he drove it over to me so I could make sure it was good, and it looked PERFECT!Story #2: Last winter, I got a bad flat leading onto the parkway and being a petite woman without any winter gloves on that day... I wasnt sure I could put the donut onto my car correctly. I called Seabreeze and the manager Vinny sent one of his guys to meet me where I was on the side of the road within 10 minutes to help me remove my flat. The guy who arrived did not charge me a dime extra for this service and even plumped up the donut with some air so I could drive to work safely. The mechanic who met me wouldnt even accept my tip (I hid it in his truck) & I was able to get to a clients house on time because of the guys being so helpful and efficient! I had a new tire ready for my wheel by the end of the day (on sale too)! This very same winter, something I had replaced came loose under my hood while I was driving, causing a rattling vibration when in moving. I parked in a neighbors driveway and called Vinny who sent his guy over with tools and he tightened the part right up. I was on my way safely in no time!Story # 3: Last wk, I took my foster dog to the vet and as I came out of the appointment, my car wouldnt start! Jumping it did no good. I called Vinny at Seabreeze auto and asked if they offered towing. He said, not really but hed see what they could do to get me going. Once again, Vinny kindly sent a guy out to take a look. Unfortunately, it had to be towed - and they got me towed in. Of course by the end of the day, Vinny figured out the main problem for me was an oil leak and informed me that I had no oil in my car at all when he took a look & I was 8 months since my last oil change service! So embarrassing. As you can see...the guys at Seabreeze go above and beyond duty to help. They are like family to me. I have complete faith & trust in the guys here at Seabreeze Auto- Bloomfield NJ to never steer me wrong. I send all of my family, housemates and friends here and plan to take every car I will ever own to Seabreeze for whatever service needed. I am proud to have the guys here in my town as they are actual life savers!
I recently brought my boyfriend’s car (a Kia Soul) here for servicing when the check engine light came on. Many of my neighbors and friends have come here to their cars fixed for years and I know why. Bill was courteous and friendly and said the car would be ready in a day or so. In turned out there were a few issues with the car that needed to be fixed, they explained what was needed and we gave them the go ahead to do the work. When we picked up the car, we noticed the steering was out of alignment. We asked for them to change the oil since the car needed to stay a few more hours so they could fix that. When we came back to get the car, they didn’t charge for the oil change. It was a nice gesture that was really appreciated. If you’re looking for an honest mechanic with fair prices in the Bloomfield area, Seabreeze is great.
No one likes a huge car repair, but better the devil I know lol. They are honestly really good mechanics and the pricing is very fair. Much cheaper than a dealer, but yes, they are more than discount Jim the craigslist part time mechanic. I just used them on another major repair to a very complicated motor... freaking Ford diesels... lolWhat I really appreciate is that if in the event that a service / work has an issue afterwards ( I bring them my truck, my mothers car and a small fleet of construction trucks so the volume of work means that inevitably something will go wrong) they always take care of it without any hassle. I dont think they have ever misdiagnosed something that was wrong, but sometimes it is a an issue that was caused by something else and there can be something else that also needs to be fixed. I have also never felt ripped off in that stereotypical the mechanic is out to get me scenario. In the end, I have used them for probably 15k in work between personal and work vehicles, and I always go back. Just understand that a lot of people feel the same way I do and use them regularly, so they may and probably will be very busy. But Vinny the shop manager, Bill the owner, Dee my suspension and general work mechanic and Jimmy the part we need to replace is 4 hours deep into the core of your engine mechanic are awesome guys and always back their work.
I came in to get my tire patched. It was raining very hard and they fixed my tire without any problems. They were all very friendly, I highly recommend this place.
Most importantly is that SEABREEZE is an automotive repair shop that is Very TRUSTWORTHY ! I always receive competent diagnosis & repairs of my car and truck at a fair price, while knowing I am not getting ripped off. Shop manager Vinnie always provides friendly, worry free assurance that my vehicles will be expertly repaired and in a reasonable time frame. Numerous times I drove out of Seabreeze happy.
They do really good work and theyre quick, despite all the business they get. They know about all different kinds of vehicles and theyre never in over their heads. The best part is that theyre just good, hard-working people. They wont rip you off and youll feel a lot better giving them your money than you would for a lot of other mechanics. I know people who come from hours away to have their cars worked on by them, so Im really fortunate to have them be only a few minutes away from where I live.
Jim is the best mechanic we have ever had. Have taken our whole familys cars to him for many years. Go there all the way from Central Jersey (Monmouth County) to get my cars serviced.
They keep my car running, with nearly 174,000 miles. They have experienced technicians who do excellent work at below dealer prices. Its a busy shop, now you know why.
The only place ill bring my personal + work car. Quick service at a reasonable price. Staff is knowledgeable. Vinnie wont steer you wrong.
Very nice staff. Quickly changed a flat tire.
These guys are great. Vinny has helped me out since I first moved to North Jersey. Never tried to over sell me, never messed with anyone I sent there, always straight forward and quick.I lived near them for 13 years. I live 15-20 minutes away now and I STILL ask them for help.
Went in for new brakes and the mechanic found a nest in my air filter! Needless to say they replaced it. Lol!Friendly atmosphere. Ill be back to get other things done.
I absolutely do not recommend this place. I recently brought my car in to replace a simple thermostat in my car and was charged over $360. Are you freaking kidding me? For a thermostat?, not only that but i was not told in advance how much it was going to be. They simply assumed that i was gonna agree to repair my car there. This was by far the worst experience i have ever had at a repair shop, and this place has the audacity to promote themselves as having outstanding service? needless to say i will NEVER! EVER! Set foot in this place.
Great overall service. Mechanics are knowledgeable and experienced in any type of automobile. Vinnie, the manager, provides the best customer service. My car and I are always satisfied.
TOTALLY GREAT GUYS, 20STAR RAVE REVIEW!! Killerzz Vinny & Bill, dropped by w/o making an appointment & got dealt with lightning QUICK! Babied my Vette & my Challenger. Zero wait & they were TOTALLY busy kuzz they are the BEST in the bizz NO DEBATE! TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE TRUST ME, you’ll be STOKED by the RESULT/PRICE/QUICKNESS!
Always a great experience. Quick and high quality. Vinnie makes sure the customer gets a 5 star service.
Been coming to Vinny for years and wouldnt trust anyone else with my new car. Good price, fast, and done right, what more can ya ask for
Long time wait did nothing waited long days
5 stars. I Recommend. Customer service is everything.Unlike most shops. I had an issue with payment for work that was done and Vinnie set my mind at ease and gave me back money that I was upset with paying. It pays to complain and my situation was proof. Thesr guys listen.
Fast, reliable, and kind. A rare find.
Finding a good and trustworthy mechanic is hard to do but Vinnie here at Seabreeze is just that. I have an older car and the mechanics here have gotten her running better than when I bought it. I recommend Seabreeze to anyone needing mechanical work.
Honest and fast. Two things that are very hard to find in a mechanic
Awesome Service I Would Refer These Guys To Everyone
These guys are great and we are so fortunate to have them in the neighborhood! They really work with you Im getting your vehicle back on the road!
About a month ago I went in for a squealing noise when I turn on my car for the very first time for the day every day I pointed out the pulley that has to be changed. Also for a rattler that I get from the front driver side wheel area. The only thing they did was change my serpentine belt and told me that was the only thing wrong theres no rattle and the pulley doesnt need to be change. Well a day or two later that pulley starts squealing even louder now and the rattle still there.Their customer service is great and theyre very friendly but unfortunately I will not be taking my car there again.
I’ve been coming to Seabreeze for many years now. I admit that I’m not the most car saavy person, but I have never been steered(get it lol) wrong. My mechanic Jim always makes sure my car is tip top, and always gives me the bottom line. If any work needs to be done, he will always advise me on the best course of action. I had no idea how bald my tires really were until he showed me how new ones looked. I’m glad I got them replaced when I did because it was only a matter of time before a complete burnout. I can’t say enough great things about Jim and Seabreeze. If you want honest mechanics who will give you the bottom line and not rip you off, this is it.
Vinnie is the best Ive been coming to the shop for almost 16 years and wouldnt trade him for anyone. Thank you Vinnie!
My entire family uses SeaBreeze, we have for years. Their service is amazing. Vinny rocks rocks rocks. I highly reccomend them for all your car needs from a simple oil change to replacement of motors and transmission.
Very efficient. A little high priced but good work.
Good Mechanics. New Jersey State CERTIFIED... Inspection Center
Trusted, fair service every time and friendly professional owner and mechanics.
The team here is very nice, great service fast and cheap.
- 3 Visits to install a header and flexpipe on a 95 Corolla without exhaust leaks or noise (they blamed the after-market header which was all that was available for a 22-year-old Corolla)- Unresolved spark issue (same 95 Corolla) and a check engine light still on after 3 back-to-back breakdowns / visits (and a total of 13 days at the shop) - the last time I brought it back was 1 minute after picking it up and finding out that one of the techs had bottomed out and destroyed my flex pipe - WHICH ISNT THE WORST PART - I picked the car up yesterday (2/27) and the new pipe they installed is hitting the bottom of my car / vibrating / rattling during all driving conditions AND at idle. Clearly nobody drove the car after they installed the pipe that they broke or else they wouldnt have given it back to me that way (unless they were trying to be deliberately disrespectful).I will not be doing business here any more and will be advising the rest of my family and family friends who bring cars there to also find a new shop. They cant (or just dont want to) fix a 95 Corolla.
Nice people but customer service is horrible. They are extremely slow and I waited over 15 minutes just to pay for my tire change.
Ask for Dee. Hes the best they have. Quick and efficient.
Wouldnt take my car any other place. Very knowledgeable and so trustworthy!
Good service, I always have felt well cared for here.
These guys are always accommodating and very professional, I recommend them highly.
Ive had my cars fixed & serviced there over the past few years, these guys are as honest as they come, very professional & friendly.
Really nice guys there, however, the work done is unacceptable. Alternator, oil change, water pump replacement, $60k scheduled service, none of it was performed to par. Spent $2k for repairs trusting them based off a bloomfield pd referral. How did mechanic know i need synthetic oil, if he had no paperwork? I likely paid $70 for regular oil change. Its the same tech that fixed my water pump which yielded smoke/noise/ and leaking flluids. After several trips, a couple of tows, and complete do-overs by them, the car is working. I just didnt get the service i expected. I really wanted this to be my go to shop but dont trust the young guys that is working on cars.
These MORONS did not install my radiator hose properly. My Car overheated after major radiator fluid leak. Valves damaged. MORONS did not take responsibility. This was second time I took it to this place to reinstall the radiator that was not installed properly the first time. Ended up expending about $2000 extra.
Fast and helpful but $20 for a tire plug?
Great shop fantastic technicians they understand and deliver
Seriously!!! Changing parts at random guessing is not the way to fix a car. Engine light still came on after these crooks stole more than $1200 by changing sensors that were working ok. iac, tps, map, etc..Took it to the dealer and they diagnosed the ECU was the problem.NEVER AGAIN to these deceitful, dishonest and INCOMPETENT CROOKS!!!
Ok so now Ill date the place!! My family has been coming here since like 1989 or 1990 when the Pony Express parked out front and Enzo Oliveri and Anthony Fortier where working the counter. I have sent so many friends and family members here it wasnt even funny. In 2016 I still use Seabreeze but of course its Vinnie Caruso (who is awesome) and new owner Bill. My advise is to just come and talk to them. Explain what is wrong with your vehicle. Tell the your expectations and what you are trying to do and they will work with you. Many times many cars they have told me when to look for something else rather than fix it because the vehicle may not be worth fixing. The have helped me in too many ways of saving money and in making good decisions. Reliable and friendly. Good people.
They are a very good crew and get stuff done quickly and correctly. Also they have cheap prices for the area.
Always professional
If you want to leave your car somewhere for a few days then come here every time I end up leaving my car and then they never get back to me and every time I call they dont have an answer. Ive now been on hold for 30min.
Pretty slow unless you make a appointment I always have to call multiple times just to get the prices of the repair of my car and they leave me on hold just to forget I was on hold and never ready when they say, there good at there job but work as if there in slow motion I only come here cause my sister and mom likes to but for me I hate it.
BEST SERVICE EVER!
Very honest and friendly
Quality work...slightly over priced
Went in for a tire patch and was out the door in 10 minutes.
