Adam and Etzel were amazing to work with. We had a very delicate situation in moving our father into a memory care community and had a short window of time to do it. Adam was honest about which day he could do the job without stretching himself too thin so I felt confident the timing would be perfect. Down to the minute, he was right. They worked quickly, carefully, and efficiently which was exactly what this job demanded. He and Etzel were very professional, prepared, and kind. No pun intended, working with this company was a relief!

I would give this moving company a 1 star, first off at the beginning of the move went well the guys were somewhat on time, got everything loaded into the truck and started to drive to the holding place that they held everything till the next morning when they could start. Then fast forward a little bit and we got to our new house in Illinois that we moved to from Minnesota, they got to the house Unloaded everything put everything together all was fine. Then come later the second night we found out our TV was broke and cracked, I contacted Adam about it and he apologized and asked what we should do, and we came to a decision on settling at $600 to fix or replace the TV, but at the stage it was it, not sure if it was fixable so they proceeded to text him about payment options and he asked if we had cash app and which we do not nor trust it so then we decided on mailing it in which I had to text him several times and now he has responded and we got the money from them. But still Safe to say we will never be going through them again. So disappointed.

I absolutely loved our moving team, Johnny and Joakim! Good hard working young men who made a stressful moving day for a couple of old ladies so simple. Crew was not provided needed supplies to pack up belongings, despite a walk-through before moving day. This slowed the process, left the crew standing around wondering when theyd get what they need, and affected moral. Movers broke many costly items (including a new couch because they didnt bother to take the door off hinges) and almost left my queen box spring in the dining room and advised me to buy a split box spring. (My friend and I had to show them how to get it up the stairs.) They scraped and marred the ceiling and walls of stairway & hall. They argued among themselves which slowed the process and lowered moral even more. They worked HARD but not as a cohesive team, or smart. In the end they were careless with my belongings and made completely preventable mistakes and damages. This company has not yet provided me with a claim process to follow (two weeks post-move) and missed an appointment to view the damages this week. My torn and scraped couch, shattered art, gouged oak armoire and dirty walls remind me daily that I made a poor choice when I hired Relief Moving Company.

Adam and crew were punctual, courteous and industrious! Everything was wrapped and fit in the truck like Tetris. They didnt stop until the Apt was empty. They Really earned their keep at the new place. 3 ft sq. landings and 14 steps in between. Yup, both bedroom sets up those buggers. They started in the rain, then 95 degrees and humid and never lost a step. Very efficient with their time and fair priced for all the hard work. Well worth every penny!

I have honestly never written a review before in my life, but my experience was so horrible that I felt it needed to be written. I contacted Relief Moving about an upcoming move I was having. Initially, Adam was very responsive and went over all of the items I needed moved in a phone conversation and provided me with an estimate. After a couple of days of reflection, I emailed him saying that I would still like to hire them for my move if possible. He said that it would be and asked for the addresses and even provided me with a timeframe for the day of the move. When I provided the addresses, I asked how to pay the deposit that he said would be required and he did not respond to this question, but instead confirmed the date again with me via email. A few days before my move, he still had not given me the confirmation email or provided me with information on how to pay the deposit, so I emailed him again asking for this information and he never responded. He completely quit responding to emails and phone calls/voicemails, all just a few days before I was supposed to be moving. I ended up with no one to help me move that day and got extremely lucky ( most companies were booked for weeks) with another company that was able to help me move a few days later, but had to take a day off of work to do so. I cannot emphasize enough how bad of an experience this was and the amount of unnecessary stress this added to the general stress involved with any move. I would never recommend this company to anyone I know.

Unfortunately the move did not start well as a couple of Reliefsstaff members called in sick. With the rest of their teams already in the field it was impossible for them to get to us by the 8am start time. As it was they were unable to arrive till 2 pm which left uas really concerned as to how the day would go. We had hoped to be moved and in by 3 04 4 and that surely was not going to happen. All that being said I have to share that once the team arrived they more than made up for being held up. I WAS AMAZED AT HOW FAST THE TEAM WORKED. In all the craziness each one went out of their way to apologize for the delay in service. This while breaking down furniture, moving everything with care andmanaging large pieces down our 32 winding stairs. Beside being very fast and careful THEY WERE COMPLETE PROFESSIONALS. In addition I must add that Adam, the owner, was constantly in touch from early morning till the team was done to insure that the job got done and we were satisfied. This along with the fact that he threw in an extra man at no-charge to make up for the lost time. Bottom line is, I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND ADAM AND HIS TEAM. Adam, the owner of Relief Moving Company, was very pleasant and wanted to help me with transporting my books, even with our tight deadline. We were supposed to have family members help move our beds, piano, dressers, dining table, and several other pieces from our lower level and garage into the various locations throughout our home. Unfortunately, family was unable to help to due a quarantining issue due to COVID. My fiancé has a heart condition, and we needed to get the bed set up for her.We called a few places, no one was able to help us at the last minute- Friday night at 6:30- we called and spoke with Adam Page, the owner of Relief Moving Company. He said give me ten minutes and I’ll call you back. He called back in ten minutes and said his team would be out in an hour! I couldn’t believe it. A NIGHTMARE. After TWO YEARS my patience is gone. They permanently damaged priceless things. All I asked was for them to repair three of the multiple things they broke.My 3 person team was Adam, his petite wife, & her equally small 50+ father. It took EIGHT HOURS to move a 1 bedroom apartment 1.4 miles & they didn’t even finish. Adam looked at my storage unit, which was included in the quote, & laughed, “I don’t have time to move all of that.”Adam carried all furniture alone, bumping & DROPPING my antiques. The inside of the truck was a literal pile held together with bungee cords. I watched him carry in a table, stop & look at it, then walk away. It was broken into literal splinters! He decimated my enamel screen & shattered the glass door of my china cabinet. He snapped one of my rare antique tables in half & “LOST” the second one. They still refuse to compensate me. The bill was massive because it took so long (and didnt finish). I refused to pay all of it, so he took $200 off. Now he claims I owe him money.I told Adam to pick up stuff to repair whatever day/time worked for him. For months I’d take off work & wait; 6 or 7 times he cancelled at the last minute or just didn’t show up. After a YEAR I finally got it back & it was in worse shape than ever! New marks, MOLD & water damage. And he had snapped the table in half AGAIN.This time I asked him to call me about the restorer before any work was done. I heard nothing for months & got no responses to texts. Finally Adam texted to say he was delivering my stuff. I asked why he hadn’t called me with the restorer name. He looked away & said, “I’m not sure.” The reason was he never took it to a restorer!. He just painted stain over the mold & did nothing to treat other places. He took a brown marker & superglue to a 19th century table then painted a blackish stain, nothing like the original color, over the wood & the metal finishes. A $500 table that’s sentimentally priceless is permanently ruined. I refused to give things back & said I’d get them restored & send a bill. He refused to compensate me for repairs or the table he lost. It’s upwards of 2k in damages. I told Adam if the company didn’t pay me back would take them to court. He yelled at me & walked away. I’ve emailed & texted him to give one more chance & no response. Now I have to go through the trouble of a lawsuit, which has been delayed because of COVID. All I wanted was for them to fix what they broke & they were callous, irresponsible, unprofessional, & just a nightmare to deal with.UPDATE: 2/20/21 Adam posted here asking me to reach out so we could fix the problem. I emailed him and he ignored it! Sent a second email a week later and when he finally replied he criticized my right to leave a review (didn’t dispute the content). He asked how to make it right and I repeated, fix my stuff and reimburse me. His reply, “see you in court!!!”

This is an update on my move. This is my second move with Relief Moving and once again it was awesome. I had thought about using a different company but since I had experience with Relief I went with them. Adam is great to work with, the crew is so fast, efficient and just all around great guys. They had 2 storage units to empty and 2 households to move which took all day. I hope I dont have to move again but if I do I will definitely use Relief moving and I will recommend them for sure. My experience with Relief Moving Company was amazing! I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with them is well worth it. Adam is very professional, and everything was done in a timely manner while handling all of my items with care. Not only did these gentlemen show extreme care for my move, they were also remarkably professional while having to deal with an extremely rude building manager. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Hours after my move I was already referring them to friends and family of mine, so if you’re looking for movers, look no further!

We hired Relief Moving company to help us move in to a new house on holiday weekend (the day after Thanksgiving). They showed up exactly when they said they would, kept us informed via emails, calls, and texts, and then worked efficiently to get the job done. Adam (one of the owners) is a BEAST and can carry 7+ boxes at a time. I dont know where he gets his strength or never-ending energy, but it was very much appreciated and made the entire 5.5 hour process feel like only 3. They handle your fragile items well, EVERYTHING gets wrapped up and covered with blankets. They lay down mats to protect your carpets and floors. I did have a glass table top that broke in the truck on the way over to the new house, but Adam brought it right to us and told us he would take it to their preferred glass repair company the next day and deliver it as good as new to us once it was fixed. Obviously less than ideal, but his professionalism and customer service with handling that minor mishap further necessitates a 5-star review. We werent sure we were going to hire movers, and it wasnt exactly cheap, but we are very glad we did and feel Relief was worth every penny. (Especially considering the amount of things that needed to be moved, how heavy and bulky some items were, and the fact that it was a holiday weekend). Hands down would recommend and use them again.

Very easy to schedule with! I needed a heavy, bulky treadmill base moved same day and they were very accommodating. They got the job done quickly, efficiently, and safely. Our floors, walls, doorways, and the treadmill itself are still in perfect condition. Adam and his coworker (cant remember his name) were very professional and friendly. Will be using this company again in the future. We didnt shop around for prices but what we paid was very fair so we didnt have to risk injuring ourselves or friends backs!

It must have been fate that the other company (Housedeal Movers) I was trying to hire didnt show up.I needed a very large 5 piece entertainment center moved from one house to a second floor apartment.(stairs)I had tentatively scheduled with Housedeal Movers and they werent answering my calls or text when I mentioned to my garage door installer(great guy) of the issues I was having.He told me his brother had a moving company if these other clowns didnt work out. Well, Im glad they didnt.Adam returned my call promptly. I sent him a picture of the item to be moved. He matched the price the other company was going to charge and we scheduled it for 8:00 A.M Tues. I was then sent a confirmation.They showed up exactly on time, wrapped all pieces in blankets and loaded them carefully on truck.Getting the entertainment center up a flight of stairs proved to be a difficult task, but was done carefully and with a positive, can do, attitude.I would recommend Adam and his crew to anyone! I contacted Adam a few weeks before my move needing to arrange for his crew to move me out of my house the evening before the buyers of the home closed the next morning, then hold my stuff overnight and unload it at my new house the next afternoon. This was no issue for him and worked around my familys schedule as we frantically finished packing up until the point he brought his truck over. When we ended up having more things to load than anticipated as we had stuffed 10lbs of things into a 5lbs bag, Adam didnt flinch as he came up with a plan to keep us on our timeline.Adam and his crew were very professional and awesome to deal with. I have not seen many people hustle like Adam and the guys he had working for him. Very efficient, quick moving, customer focused group of people.I had never used a mover before and didnt know what to expect. After this experience I would recommend Relief Moving Company to anyone who wants to make their next move easier. Thanks to the help they gave, not only were we loaded and unloaded in a fraction of the time and effort doing it on my own would have taken but because we helped direct them on where to put our things on the unload we were 95% done unpacking boxes and back to a normal life 2 days later.Awesome company, awesome crew.

Initial estimate was given of $175 an hour for 3 movers and a truck over the phone, I texted a rough list of items to be moved, and a moving date was provided. Adam estimated 4 hrs to move us. Movers showed up on time and ready to work. Several items through out the move were either scratched or damaged in some way, with a sorry about that to be a solution. In the end, my wife handled payment. Final cost was $1258.00. Adam had told my wife there were more items to be moved than expected, they need 4 movers instead of 3, and it took 5hrs instead of 4. This information was all correct, but none of it should have reflected pricing. The $175 an hour for 3 movers was provided before Adam even knew what he was moving, and 4 movers showed up before even knowing they needed an extra person. Doing the math, $175×5hrs= $875 how does the $1258.00 fit into pricing? I still have no clue and did not really care because my move was complete. I did not plan to write a negative review, but when a company who had performed so poorly emails, and pushed for a review of their services, I figured I would let online viewers know my story. Would I use this company again? Absolutely not. The same items this company moved in 5 hrs was previously moved in 4 hrs by another company who only had a 3 person crew.

Adam and his crew picked up our furniture. They wrapped it, blanketed it and wrapped it again. They stored our furniture while we were away from the house for a month. Then they returned all of the furniture and helped me put pads on the bottom of some of the furniture so as not to mar our brand new floors. They were exceedingly friendly and were willing to listen to requests and suggestions. They were reasonable in price and I would use them again if I needed Moving and Storage services.

Adam and Ricky were so, so helpful. We were moving from two apartments into a house and they made everything so much easier. They kept in contact with us while we were closing on our house and driving back and forth between our apartments- which could have been very disorganized, but they were patient with us and were able to coordinate accordingly. Hired Relief movers 2x now. Adam, the owner has gone “above and beyond” both times. Highly recommended. First they moved me right on my closing date - starting after a full day on another job! They worked until 9:30 pm and did an excellent job! Second, Got some help moving this huge grill, today. They did easily, accomodating my work schedule and helped me set it up! During my entire move process, this is one of the best ‘hires’ i have had. I expect I’ll be calling them back for more heavy lifting in the future!!
