I cant say enough about this place! The cookies are fresh and just to die for! The salted caramel probably my favorite cookie on the entire planet! It is chewy and packed with carmel chunks. Every cookie I have tried has been top notch and that included the peanut butter cookie I had today that my husband ordered and I dont even like peanut butter! Today they were out of a few options due to a delayed shipment but these guys are great and the staff were so friendly we were still able to satisfy our sweet tooth! There is parking behind the restaurant with steps to get down to the location.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. ZERO STARS. Dont expect what you actually ordered to be delivered. And dont expect them to make it right for you. I never actually received the FULL quart of ice cream that I wanted after I was delivered four sad scoops of ice cream in the bottom of a quart sized container. They merely refunded me after a whole lot of back and forth and snippy attitude from the employee, who refused to let me speak with a manager and put me on hold for 10 minutes. I emailed the third party customer service and they sent me a link for three free cookies for my frustration. However, the fine print requires a minimum online order of $6 and has to be delivered, so plus taxes, delivery charge and tip would be another $10 order for my free cookies... but what they dont understand is that IM NEVER ORDERING FROM INSOMNIA EVER AGAIN. Ive heard Campus Cookies is better. Ill be giving them a try.

Like other reviewers, I wish I had read the reviews before placing a delivery order from this store. I placed my order 4 hours ago and the cookies still havent been delivered. I got one customer service rep on the phone after being on hold for 20 minutes, but she wasnt able to reach anyone at the actual store, so I have no clue where this order even is right now. Ive never had such a bad customer service experience!

This place is delicious! A bit pricey, but worth it for an occasional treat. The peanut butter cookies are the greatest!

I ordered 2 brownies and 6 cookies online at 11:20 pm and didn’t get them til 12:50 am. I called them at 12:20 and was *rudely* informed that my cookies were on their way despite the tracker telling me they were still baking. I don’t know how it takes someone an additional 30 minutes to get me the cookies when I live less than a mile away from them. All that being said, the cookies were warm and tasted great! My friend absolutely inhaled the brownies so they must have also been fantastic. Moral of the story, the sweets are good but pick them up yourself.

Literally was slurred out by the maskless employee who was also coughing like they had tuberculosis or sumn. in a panarama?? it’s a no for me. i walked in and was immediately gassed by the stench of grease i guess?? horrible experience will NEVER return here again. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would come back.

Fantastic customer service and amazing products

Walked up and odered ice cream cookie sandwiches to go. Bad idea. Turns out you get 2 warm cookies in a box and ice cream in a cup. We stood on the sidewalk trying to smear ice cream on warm cookies and not get ice cream and chocolate everywhere. Didnt work out - ended up throwing away 1 cookie and 3/4 of the ice cream. Just a suggestion - make the ice cream cookie sandwiches in advance. The current method didnt work very well. My first, and probably last, experience with Insomnia Cookies.

Placed a pickup order at 9:15pm, arrived to the store at the pickup time and called for curbside which they said they would be right out. Waited 30 minutes with no sign of them coming out. Went out front and had to wait outside for another 20 minutes because they were full on the inside, this is no big deal because of COVID. However, when I got inside they didn’t even have the cookies I ordered an hour and a half ago baked yet. This place is absolutely unprepared. I ended up leaving at 11:15pm, 2 hours after placing my pickup order which was scheduled to be ready at 10:00. If you’re looking for cookies go to Campus Cookies, which I should have done from the start.

The birthday cookie cake I ordered online never got made so when I went to pick it up it wasnt ready! So I placed an order for a sugar cookie cake, with cream cheese icing in between, with cookie dough bites on top. When I picked it up it wasnt a cookie cake it was one cookie that was chocolate chip, and cookie dough bites cooked into the top,for $29.95 you think they would get it right?

On the front door of the store it says masks are required for entry. However, when I walked into the store the person working was not wearing a mask and was talking with two not so sober customers also without a mask. Ngl it made me question the cleanliness and quality of the food

Cookies are always good but they never get my order 100% right. Theres always something missing or wrong, and on top of that, the customer service is atrocious.

Our hotel was less than a half mile from this location and it took over an hour for delivery. My wife was asleep by the time they arrived. Decent cookies but $22 for 4 cookies and 2 milks (with tip) is steep. The wait makes it totally not worth the cost.

I ordered 7 cookies at 630pm for 830pm, they arrived at 920pm. The cookies were good, the timing not so much.

Ordered one of their bogo 12 packs of cookies and didn’t get them for literally more than an hour. By the time they got here I regretted my purchase and the cookies were cold. I had to call their customer service to see where the heck my cookies were at, I could order from any other restaurant in Blacksburg on a busy night and they would give me an entire meal in half the time. You guys really tellin’ me that it takes that long to warm up some cookies? Also when the delivery driver dropped them off he made some snarky remarks since I guess they told him I called to ask why it was taking so long. Overall, I wouldn’t buy from this location again, they suck.

The cookie cake was great! Their phone number goes to a national call center not the local shop. The customer service at the store and call center was not rude, but it was not exactly nice either. Ok service, great cookies.

I paid for my order online and when the driver arrived he refused to give me my order because he said I needed to pay in cash and I never payed online so I had to call customer service to verify I did pay online. The first customer service spokesperson hung up the phone on me because she didnt want to help me and the second customer service helper was very rude to me.... Typical in Blacksburg, VA. Customer service finally contacted his manager who then contacted him to tell him I had already payed and then he finally gave me my order. This whole ordeal took 20 minutes to deal with so when I finally got my order the cookies were cold and my ice cream was melted. DO NOT RECOMMEND DEALING ORDERING FROM AGAIN

This is ridiculous. I love insomnia cookies but I’ve been waiting for my order for over an hour and called the store over 5 times with no answer. The tracker said the 6 cookies I ordered have been “baking” for the past 45 minutes. If they’re busy it is fine but I would appreciate if they picked up the phone when I call them. Sadly, won’t be ordering from here again.

I really enjoy their cookies. Weve never personally had to wait too terribly long for delivery, though it seems like delivery needs to be improved based on other reviews. The cookies have always been warm and fresh when weve received them. Staff is friendly. I have no personal complaints when theres a warm snickerdoodle cookie involved!

They take forever while their cookies taste like theyre straight out of the freezer. Customer service is mediocre at best. Last time I called, the person on the other side of the phone decided to make a comment to me I found very unprofessional. But what can you expect from a business that uses calling centers instead of providing jobs for locals. Essentially a corporate version of any other great cookie delivery service, i.e. campus cookies (way better). If you support local business and providing jobs for those in your community DO NOT buy from insomnia.

Never buying anything from this company ever again. I ordered nearly 24 hours in advance, was allowed to pick a 2-hour (!!) delivery window (I thought that was madness, cookies cant be that much more complicated that pizza right? Somehow pizza joints get it right. . .). Oh another thing, guess what company is one of the most hated companies in the USA who gives people 2 hour service windows? (Hint: Its a large cable company). Then, when that TWO HOUR WINDOW came and went, I called their customer service number (yes customer service in quotes). I was disconnected the first time, on hold the second time, and, to add insult to injury, I DIDNT EVEN GET TO TALK TO A MANAGER OR PROPRIETOR. Let me call the store to find out where your order is. Great, so I get to deal with some uninterested third-party who is going to give me the runaround. Wait on hold. They come back, Theyre really busy and theyll get your order out as soon as they can. Okay, great. When is that exactly? We cant tell you that sir, were just the middle men. Fantastic. Can you connect me to the store? No. Who can I talk to to find out when my order will actually be available? Were just the middle men. Great. After about five or six minutes of trying to get an answer, they accidentally slip and say: People have been waiting four hours for their deliveries. FOUR HOURS. AND YOU CANT CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS AND TELL THEM YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE? Thanks. Beautiful customer service. We can cancel your order if thats what you want. Yes. You had better cancel my order. Ill get a cookie from Papa Johns. At least I know that pre-baked junk will actually be available and theyll get it delivered in 30 minutes without a 24-hour advance order or a two hour service window. Never Again.

Horrible service. Cookies not delivered despite cookie tracker saying they had been. I never received a call and person who was supposed to receive them never got a voice mail or notice - the delivery was a surprise for her. After finally ruining the surprise and asking her the next afternoon about the cookies, she had no idea what i was talking about. However this companies Cookie Tracker said they had been delivered. After speaking with centralized customer service who defended the store and the lack of notice or delivery, i finally requested redelivery the next night at 8:30. At 9pm, I had to call when they were still not there. Tracker still said they had been delivered. I was not allowed to speak to the actual location in Blacksburg - centralized customer service number. They called store while i waited on hold and the store said that the person who was supposed to fill my order came to work late and so they just never got around to doing my 25 cookie order (which had been a 50 cookie order the night before since i was sending them for an event). Eventually the cookies were delivered and were yummy, but was completely disappointed in this experience. Isnt the delivery of these cookies supposed to be what this company is supposed to be good at??

They deliver cookies to your door after midnight. Its an amazing service. Unfortunately they can sometimes take a while to actually deliver it, but in my opinion its well worth the wait.

This is your typical Insomnia Cookie peddling station. The girls that worked here were very friendly and helpful.The location itself either has high traffic but felt run down. I think we even found an abandoned plastic bag belonging to a homeless(?) dude with a pair of shoes left on the table.

I flew in from another state to defend my dissertation at Radford University. My friend and I wanted to treat ourself to some cookies that night and ordered at 8pm. She placed the order for ASAP. The cookie tracker alerted there was an issue and someone called to let us know the system was saying we wanted the cookies at 8pm and she wanted to know if that meant tomorrow. My friend told her no I meant now. She said they would go out on the next delivery. They arrived at 10 pm, two hours later. The driver apologized for the delay, stating there was a glitch in the system. We told him it was okay. We looked and our order was wrong so we called the store to let them know. They spoke in an argumentative way and then stated they would give us 6 free cookies. My friend asked if we could go ahead and place that order after the phone cal and she said yes. When my friend checked her email it said 6 free cookies with a minimum $6 purchase. Really?! After we waited two hours for the wrong order we have to make a $6 purchase and then we would receive 12 cookies (which we didnt want, we just wanted the correct order). My friend called back again to explain that wasnt acceptable. The person was argumentative again but finally said they would take half off. I have not checked to see if I was refunded the money yet, but thats still frustrating because they did not really take he steps to make it right, which simply would have been sending the cookies we were missing. My friend let them know shed already had a previous bad experience and wouldnt likely order again.

Poor service, average cookies, and way over-priced. When I asked the counter person if they baked with nuts (my son has an allergy), she looked at me like I was speaking another language. Cookies had not been delivered for over an hour and a half past the scheduled time. Phone number for the store was very difficult to find but eventually was transferred through. They said the cookie hadnt even been sent out yet. Since it had gotten to the point where I had to go sleep for work the next day I told them to deliver it tomorrow. They didnt seem to set a limit for Valentines Day so I think they must have overbooked at the expense of the service. Very disappointing.
