I had to have my car towed to this Firestone location around noon yesterday (Saturday). I called ahead of time to make sure they could see my car. They said they likely wouldn’t be able to get to it until Sunday (today). That was fine, as long as I had it back in time for work on Monday. This morning I called to see if they had had a chance to look at my car yet, and was informed that their notes indicated my car was to be worked in amongst their appointments some time next week. This is NOT what I was told, and I would not have had my car towed there had I known that was the case. There are no other nearby mechanics open on Sunday so I have to wait until tomorrow to have my car towed somewhere else where it can be fixed in a reasonable time frame. This will require me to take off from work. I am incredibly frustrated that I’m having to pay for Firestone’s dishonesty.I could have had the car fixed by end of day yesterday with a nearby mechanic, but had the car towed to a neighboring city as a loyal Firestone customer. Lesson learned.

Had some issues on the day of pickup, luckily Carmon was very good to work with and made sure it was all taken care of. Ended up taking an extra day. Overall a good experience.

All I can say is bravo Josh wells at 202 Williamson rd Roanoke va. Best customer service I have ever seen, knows his job 100% and his people skills are amazing to watch. Thank you firestone for a job well done!

Very disappointed, I made a Sunday appointment online (there were plenty of time shots at that time) and they just cancelled my appointment on Sunday morning! They said that the earliest appointment was next Thursday. I explained my situation that I really need to get a flat tire repaired for traveling and it wouldn’t take long to take a look, but the lady still insisted that it would be at least two days before I could get my tire back.I later got my tire fixed within 30 minutes at Walmart Auto Center which was just 2 miles away. They also open on Sunday and offer walk-in service. Definitely a better choice.

My fiancé and I were driving from CT to NC when we got a flat tire in Virginia. We called the Firestone in Blacksburg, VA and we’re told that they didn’t have any appointments until next Tuesday. We explained our emergency situation and the staff told us they would fit us in today and get our new tire on by 7pm tonight. We arrived at 3:30pm and Scott had our car ready to go within an hour!We are more than impressed and thankful that they were so accommodating.We highly recommend anyone in the area to come to this Firestone to see Scott and Carmen. They were super nice and helpful.Thank you again Scott and Carmen. You gave us the best experience a customer could ask for!

Made an appt online and it was very easy. Dropped the car off for tire rotation and balance, staff was very friendly compared to other shops I’ve been to in the area. Very fast as well, and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back when my car needs work done.

Worst tire shop in the u.s tried to get an alignment now there trying to charge me 1000$ for 2 bushings a 20$ part thats very easy to install then a bearing which is even easier to install for around 600$ each then when I asked if I can call back in a hour to see if its ready they rudely said no we will call you Im riding around trying to wait on my car so I drive home by the time I drive home they call me finally saying its ready I go to pickup and so much bs saying how expensive it is hell they even tried charging an old veteran dang near 550dollars for a starter its 2 bolts and a wire not hard at all to fix

Had scheduled appointment and asked if they could look into something else, no problem doing so, pretty quick service for lunch hours and good to know they are open 7 days a week. Easier to call direct and make appt., than using the website app.

They do not allow you to make an appointment for Virginia State Inspection. They said “first come first serve” so I arrive first thing in the morning and walk in the door when the open light turns on, to be told that I am the 6th person in line and they cannot get to me now. They would do nothing for me standing in front of them at 7 a.m as the first person for that day. I am never going back to them again.

Theyve done good work for me in the past. I call up today to ask to have a headlight cover replaced, and the guy tries to convince me that its a whole assembly. He doesnt understand that the cover is only part of the headlight assembly. So I guess place is safe for oil changes and tires, but dont confuse them. Basically, the vibe I got from the guy on the phone was dismissal and they didnt wanna do the work.Part 2... I called back because I like them and dont want to stop going there. We had a longer conversation but labor costs are just too high in my opinion ($150/hour) so Im going elsewhere. Might still come back here for a $45 oil change, but again, not sure b/c prices.

I really like this location, I used to get my tires at Walmart but since I tried Firestone Complete I decided to go with them every time I need tires for my vehicles. The customer service is amazing, they takes the time to explain everything about tires, and even that I make a lot of questions, they always are helpful and understanding. Also had my vehicles inspected there I never had a problem, I think they are fair but also I always make sure my vehicle is good to go before I take it to get inspected. Keep it up guys!

Even though I only went in for annual Virginia safety check, Im very happy with their service. They even my battery charge, for free. More importantly during my wait I was in position to hear how they treated a number of customers. Each time the problem was carefully explained, what they could do to solve it, how much time it would take, and how much. Very polite. Thats customer service.

I needed a State inspection, tires and rear brakes for my truck. Firestone was easy access, cost was very reasonable and they got the work done in just a couple of hours. Employees were courteous and it was a pleasure doing business there.

I was thoroughly disappointed. A lack of attention to detail on behalf of the staff at this Firestone location resulted in placing myself and my family in a challenging situation. I have used Firestone Complete Auto Care across the United States, as we travel a great deal. While the staff is friendly, they do not listen to the details.I called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment to replace the rear U-Joint in the drive shaft on my vehicle. Over the course of several days I had diagnosed the issue and identified this as the most likely problem. They did not have an available appointment until Tuesday at 12 noon. I explained the situation and CLEARLY request that they schedule a replacement of the U-Joint at this time. If this was not the root of the problem we would determine a plan from there.I arrived on time and they proceeded to diagnose the problem. My prognosis was confirmed. Great! Lets proceed.We cant do that today.What?! I scheduled my week around this. I adjusted customer engagements at over $250/hr to accommodate this appointment, and adjusted other travel for this. Not to mention I drove 45+ minutes one way in the middle of my work day to make this appointment.I clearly stated on the phone when making the appointment what I needed done. I restated it when I arrived. Only to have them regurgitate my own words back to me. Not what I needed. I needed the rear U-Joint replaced, as we discussed on the phoneI could have well gone a different way to address this. Im quite capable of replacing it myself. However, I simply didnt have the tools nor the time to address it. Thats why I was going to PAY someone else to do a good job.What terrible customer service. Attention to detail, and taking time to listen to your customer needs is critical in customer service oriented industry.This by far is the most disappointing experience at a Firestone center Ive had. And very costly in respect to my work, schedule, and simply getting a critical repair done.Ill never return here for any real work.

From out of town visiting family and had rattling that I just knew was a CV joint going out. James got us in same day and did an inspection prior to doing major work. Turned out to be just lug nuts not tight. Very honest and didnt try to upsell me on anything. Even if I needed the major work done I knew exactly what to expect cost wise. I highly recommend.

My daughter took my 2014 Civic in there for puncture repair as there were no Discount Tires close by, where we had lifetime coverage.On return to Omaha, Discount Tire tol me it had been improperly repaired, so I had to buy a new tire.The District Manager NEVER called me back, as theyd said.Long-term Firestone customer.

I go to get a headlight fixed and proceed to spend $65. With their voluntary check with appointment they run full details on your car. My car battery reported back that it was fine. The next day I try to drive from my visit and my car is completely dead.Turns out the EMPLOYEES left my lights on so when I drove back from Firestone my lights were on, locked my car, and went into my apt with no idea of what they have done (it was noon and completely bright outside). the next day I was forced to miss a very important appointment and proceed to spend $190 on a new battery for my car after their absent minded mistake. Also, they of course tired to sell me on getting multiple things fixed with my not-so-old car which was annoying. With a $65 headlight replacement and comprehensive check of my vehicle it is kind of funny they could find all these issues with my car but yet not fill up my antifreeze in the dead of winter either. huh, maybe instead they could have charged $30 or so for that? Shocker. Tried to sell me on an oil change for $70. Never going back to this place. Screw you all.

Ive been bringing my vehicle here for years as has the rest of my family. The staff is always friendly and I never doubt the advice or pricing Im given. When I have questions, they are always answered with patience. I recently moved to Charlotte and am yet to find a shop I trust, so I was happy to have my car serviced this weekend while I was in town. Work was done in a very timely manner! Thanks Firestone!

Great customer service. Service manager took the time to both explain in detail what part needed to be replaced and show me where the part was located. As the part was computer related, and they did not have the right equipment, there was no charge for the diagnostics. Manager answered all of my questions and treated me with respect. Highly recommend and will return.

How can I have my vehicle inspected here for three years and JUST NOW, my sway bar link is installed backwards? The reply was different people look for different things. So, incompetence is the answer here! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Great team quick tire exchange.

Visit 2: Incompetent. Took my car in for a new water pump and coolant flush. They added only about 1.5L out of the 5L capacity, and they used the wrong coolant. Car began overheating on the drive home. They were very easy to deal with: gave me a partial refund and fixed issue. Based on my two experiences, I would not recommend anybody trust these hacks with their vehicle.Visit 1: Dishonest or incompetent, but willing to correct themselves when theyre wrong. I brought my car in because the back tires were making noise on the highway. They immediately found that the noise was from cupping and recommended replacing back tires. They proceeded to balance the issue-free front tires after discovering that the problem with the back tires was the reason for the noise. When I asked about the charge for balancing they did eventually remove it.They also told me the front brake pads needed immediate replacement (less than 3mm) and tried to sell me on $500 of brake work. When I brought my car home to change the pads myself, I found that the pads were at 7mm. I have no idea what/whose brake pads they measured.I cant tell if this is just poor communication in the shop or if theyre trying to stick people with unnecessary repairs.

Im a do-it-yourself-er on everything with my vehicles. However as I learned here in VA, State safety inspections is something you are unable to perform yourself, and need to trust a certified shop with the keys to your vehicle to perform the inspection for you.So I took on my girlfriends Chevy Sonic for the State-Inspection. Granted this place is about two minutes from where I live.Im giving them a five star rating due to the awesome customer service. They even brought me home as they were a bit booked and would be a few hours before getting to the car for inspection.The only down vote I would give, is the up-sell attempt of a cabin air-filter replacement for $59.99. Most filters are about $20 and take less then twenty seconds to install. But I suppose they are just trying to make a profit to keep the lights on. So I will not penalize a star from them.Over all great and quick experience.A few months later, I dropped off my four BBS wheels to mount some new tires. Was very nervous as I normally mount/balance tires myself in order to prevent scratching that other shops do, but do not have access to my equipment back home.Anyway, they did an awesome job mounting them. Not a scratch on the wheels. Great job to the tech.

Ive been taking my cars here for years. Ive had enough work done to have built up trust in what everyone here tells me in regards to work. Their estimates are usually very accurate and you can sign up for their mailing list to get several coupons a year.

Not goodFirstly, I wanted to do oil change and wheel alignment, and they did not let me know if they can do the alignment or not till they did the oil change first, so I think they should know previously if they can do something or not, actually since i booked the appointment.Secondly, they broke my front-left window button and they did not tell me about that till I discovered that at home.You should know your capabilities before starting the service and to be honest with the customer, because simply i will never go there again as well as also my friends.

Im always happy and treated well here. That being said, I have been three times and every time Ive been told I need an expensive new tire and Im becoming suspicious.Edit: Definately scamming me. I went in to get an inspection and they told me I need bushings for $1500 before theyd inspect me. I know what bushings are and I do not need them. (Its important to note that I am a woman). I took the car to my normal mechanic who does not do inspections and she checked and confirmed that my bushings are fine and that bushings shouldnt cost more than $900. Took my car to D&E and they told me I needed two new tires (Firestone did not mention) and gave me my inspection. When I told them what Firestone said they laughed and said its because Im a woman and they do that a lot.

The staffs are exceptional and friendly. Yes, I got a couple of light bulbs that need to be replaced but they did not attempt to persuade me to be fixed by them. Sure, they can fix it there but I have the bulbs. I can do it myself. Last time I waited for more than an hour than they promised and Matt gave me a free oil change coupon.

We live about 4 hours away from Blacksburg, and needed a place to get tires on a weekend for our sons car. He is a student working full time during the week.We needed 4 tires and brake work done on a 2008 Camry. We were surprised to find so few places open on weekends in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg areas. Firestone Complete was open.The people we spoke with before the installation were very up front on the cost, and very honest on the time it would take. On Saturday, Oct 12, we had the tires replaced along with an oil change and replacement of two bulbs. After the car was returned, our son indicated that the brakes might be an issue as he was experiencing vibration through the brake pedal when stopping, consistent with warped rotors. I noticed that there was more play in the brake pedal since we gave him the car in July. We scheduled the brake work for the next day, Oct. 13th. Brake pads replaced on all four wheels, and rotors on the front.We were kept informed during the brake repairs, and arranged with us to meet with our son a little after 5 (closing time on Sunday) so that he had time to get his car for work on Monday morning.The pricing was a little high on the alignment, oil change and replacement of two bulbs compared with other shops, but they were open when we were available, and were prompt and thorough. We also anticipated the rotor replacement, so asked up front on potential cost of the rotor replacement for the front axle, and the price quoted was reasonable.I would use them again.

Went here to have them look over the car and to replace the brakes. We sat there for an hour and a half for just the brakes. We sat for 3 and a half hours total. This was with a scheduled appointment. While waiting 2 different walk ins came and went. People without appointments must be more important.

I walked in without an appointment, and within a few hours, both the requested services were performed on my vehicle.Also, the employee at the desk informed me of a discount I wasnt aware of and applied it to my bill. Ill definitely be back for future work!

I always take my car to Firestone, but to the location where I live at. This time I had to take it to this location because I was visiting my son in VTECH, and I needed an oil change. I always pay $40 for it, but this time I had to pay $60 for the same exact oil and labor. When I asked they couldnt give me an explanation. It was raining that day, and they left my window open, when I got to my car the seat was wet, rainwater got in my speaker which ruin it. I talked to the manager who rude and unprofessional, they refused to pay for any damages to my vehicle. Never taking my car to that location EVER again!

I got my oil changed here recently. The oil they use is fine as are the filters, however the level was NOT high enough, and the complimentary inspection is utter crap. They just check everything as yellow and dont even look at it. Im aware of a few items on that list in my car that actually needed servicing and a few of them that were essentially brand new. None of these items were marked as such. If you arent actually going to do the inspection then dont offer it!

My family and were traveling and had a flat tire. We made it to this Firestone in Christianburg. It was 5:00 on a Saturday and they closed at 6:00 . They had one person ahead of us and we were told that they could not help us because they potentially could have to stay past 6:00. My wife literally begged Scott to help us but he simply said no. We were stranded .We put more air in the tire and luckily found a Walmart we made it there and they worked us in .We had to buy a new tire so Firestone lost a customer and a sale. To walk away from a family 6 hrs from home, in a unfamiliar area on a Saturday, a hour before their closing time is unexcusesble.

Good service. My tire hit a nail and was slowly leaking. They removed the nail and patched from the inside. Its been a few months and it seems the tire is still ok. So the repairing service is ok.The reception was a little aloof but I am willing to overlook it because of the quality of the service.

They do a thorough and professional job. They are on the expensive side. I suggest using your common sense, because sometimes they want to make repairs that arent critical but can make your vehicle run better or safer. Youre always free to say I dont want that at this time if its not a critical repair.

Had good service. The only problem I had is they was so busy they didnt get around to my alignment check before we had to leave. I can go back anytime for them to do it.

Was my go-to repair shop until recently.Liked that they never pressured me in to buying things I didnt need. Recently all theyve done is try to up-sell me during oil changes.Made a saturday appointment for oil change and tire rotation. 2 hours later I got my car back. Whats the point in making an appointment if you cant rotate tires and do an oiled change in a reasonable amount of time? Not exactly how I planned to spend my afternoon.Looking for another shop.

3 May 2019 - A bit after noon I drove over to have them install the tires. Since I had a warranty from Toyota on the OEM tires, I needed somebody from Firestone to contact the Toyota warranty folks with my claim number. The team was agreeable to do that however here things got strange with James the manager as he told me he talked to the employee that worked on my truck on the 22nd and that they only swapped on the spare per my request and that TPMS in the spare automatically stops working when the wheel is removed from the truck (which is false). AWKWARD. That wasnt my request and if they told me they couldnt fix the tire to get me to buy tires I was not going to be pleased. Stress not though as Matthew walked in to save the day.After a few requests, Matthew brought in the tire that was unrepairable to confirm as we needed to know what was wrong with it to detail it to the toyota warranty folks. Long story short, they did contact the warranty folks and got my new tires installed.They also noted my inspection was out so did that for me (I get them free at Haley (props Haley peeps) buuut I was already here so I let them do it for the $16) and check the alignment (free). Alignment was green without needing adj. The interaction with James was not great so I deducted a star, but Matthew hit the ball out of the park 100% on all three different days interactions . Left the shop at 15:50, so about 3.5 hours total. Im ok with that.2 May 2019 - Headed in to have them order tires, last visit they told me it would take a few days to get them in. They ordered them and the schedule said they would be in _next_ day. woo22 march 2019 - Drove in to get a tire fixed that had a slow leak. Matthew reported tire was not repairable and I would need a replacement. I asked if they would swap on the spare for now and Matthew gave me a quote for 4 new tires. There was no charge to swap the spare, which was cool.

After being treated poorly by merchant tire, we came here to get a resinspection on my car. The lady up front was very friendly, even though the place was packed. She explained that they wouldnt be able to get to my car that day but she allowed me to make an appointment.On appointment day I was greeted by James, with a smile, and my car was taken car of quickly. Id say I was there maybe an hour. The wait wasnt horrible and James kept me updated on where they were in the inspection process.At check out I was given some recommendations for and a quote, but I did not feel pressured into buying anything more than what I came for.I will definitely be returning here next year for my inspection, and I will most likely buy the brake replacements they recommended soon.

There arent a lot of places that will warrant/guarantee their work nowadays, but these these guys do! I bring a replica car in for them to work on from time to time, and theyve done great work on it!

The mechanic was to replace catalytic converter and manifold,, called me Saturday morning to tell me its ready. $811.88 total charge,, bring car home, didnt go out til next day! Driveway has huge puddle of transmission fluid,, turns out,,,, transmission line wasnt properly hooked back up!!

But Firestone in Blacksburg Virginia has always done me good. Great job guys I do recommend them.

I made an appointment at 7am for an alignment. They put a due time of 12pm. They didnt call me until 11:30ish just to say oh we cant do it, because your left tie rod end is bad. Also, your ball joints are kinda loose. I immediately took it to my normal mechanic who does all of my front end work (and unfortunately doesnt have an alignment machine.) He checks it and cant find a thing wrong with my tie rod ends or ball joints. So not only did they wait until the very last second, they gave me false information. I walked away with a jeep that was still unaligned and 5 hours of my time wasted. Not to mention the gas of driving 25 minutes to the shop and back twice for nothing.

Failed me for state inspection for a part that was deteriorating. Upon review from another mechanic, the part had over 70% life left. However since my vehicle failed inspection, I was forced to get the part replaced.

Took my Saturn and Chevy to this place for inspection...they failed them. My Chevy Ill agree needed serious attention. My Saturn they failed because of exhaust problem. Yes the muffler was bad. They stated replacing exhaust system from catilitac converter back because of exhaust leak in pipe section. $500 dollars for repairs. I did it myself for $200. I inspected the exhaust pipe. I found a tiny tiny pin hole leak. I didnt like how they expressed the findings. I felt belittled. As I declined all their repairs. I noticed an intimidating conversation about getting tickets on driving on a regected inspection. I addressed them questioning repairs in cost. I also displayed my knowledge of mechanical work. Amazing how fast their aggressive conversation got respectful. I didnt see professionalism I saw intimidation. I didnt see friendly customer care I saw a business trying to expose fear into a customer for business. Im smart enough to know right from wrong and smart enough to stay away from here.

I went to Firestone last month to have a tire put on my car after having a flat at work. I chose Firestone because they offered the cheapest tire for my car in the area. I went back this month to have 3 more tires put on my car to match the other one. They didnt have my tires in stock, but said they would order them and I made an appointment to come back. When I came back, I was told that the tires I had ordered had been taken by someone else and the manager said he got 4 other tires that were higher rated and priced to put on my car for the same price I had been quoted for the others. He even replaced the tire that had been put on last month at no charge so that all tires would match. Very good customer service and they make you feel like your business should be earned and went out of their way to earn mine. I will go back.

I took the car in (2009 Range Rover Sport) for a simple synthetic oil change. 1600 miles later I really realized it was leaking oil. At the time I was in DC, so I took it in to the dealership and they told me the wrong size oil filter was replaced. I was really upset with this. I wont be taking any car back to this place.

The inspection passed on Friday and today is Sunday, 2 days after inspection and then the car has the problem. This service is the worst service ever and I will never recommend this one at all

I could make a post giving negative 5 stars, they would get it. They told me today that my truck needed brake lines at the tune of over $250.00 in order to pass the vehicle safety inspection. I had to go to Ford and get the diagram for my brakes, went to autozone to read their manual to prove to them the brake lines were OEM.After 2 rejections for the same problem I told them to pull their own diagram and PROVE these were in fact wrong brake lines. They said OH your right they are okay, Come back for a 3rd appointment and we will pass you. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR INSPECTED HERE! Unless you want to be charged for what you DO NOT need. You will be sorry if you go there...just read other posts and talk with customers that have had sinilar experiences. Inspections are a pure rip off to begin with then you have crooks like this trying to STEAL your money. I will NEVER shop for a single thing there any longer. Very dishonest.They actually took time to research a noise in my powersteering. How does that make a car unsafe. They look to stick it to you any where they can. Research my powersteering but not to find out if I have the factory brake lines installed correctly? Go figure...rip offs

Failed to do a job right or at all the 1st time. Half assed it the second time and still trying to rip me off. You stay on them theyll eventually get the job done that you paid for. Days or in my case months later. Lol

Do I have to set up an appointment or can I do a walk in same day?

Just had service done here. Service was 100$ cheaper than quoted elsewhere in Blacksburg. The guy I worked with was not just professional but very personable. Great customer care!
