Today I’m giving 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was in there 10-9-21 to get a 4x4 6 foot post for a new mailbox. I got a heavy cart and went to back where I knew all the lumber would be. This young kid was busy but dropped everything to ask me if I needed help. I told him what I wanted. All they had was 8 foot so he headed to the back to cut it and this older gentleman that works there came by and was teaching him how to tell if a board was warped etc…They cut the board and marked which end should go in the ground (this end didn’t looks as good). The kid had the best manners. A kid that age normally doesn’t. I know this because I work with 15-18 years old. Good job mom and dad. Shout out to Andrew Williamson (young kid) and Tommy!! (I didn’t get his last name. Next time you go in there look for these guys! A+++💙

I called three different times, they let the phone ring then picked up and hung up. Trying to price a product, not interested anymore.

Associates are always very knowledgeable and helpful. I price compare to other stores like Lowe’s and typically things are more expensive at Sutherlands. But I have found that sutherlands lumber prices seem to remain more consistent which I appreciate.

Good hardware/farm supply store. We get straw bales here pretty regularly because its the best price around.

I used to thoroughly enjoy shopping here. Their selections are just nill. If they have anything at all. Soil, mulch, plants, yes. Lighting, plumbing, electrical, not so much..

The manager is friendly. They care about their products. I like this Southerlands and I love the early bird plant sale!

They never have anything in stock and don’t help you look for anything. Just go to Lowe’s or Amazon.

Only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the employes were nice and I could get baby chicks here.Majority of the items are very overpriced. I dont understand the reviews saying theyre reasonably priced or priced better then even Lowes.The only thing a resonable or fair price were the chickens. Everything else was more then even Lowes.Im constantly told sutherlands is better and cheeper by my friends and family and I am starting to think that its just a brand loyalty thing.The whole place was set up wierd. None of the labels are accurate apparently. The small plastic garden boxes we saw were labeled at 3$ each(theyre 3$ for a slightly bigger version same thickness of plastic at walmart) rang up at 15 dollars.Im shocked at how overpriced this place is.

If you havent visited Sutherlands in Bixby lately, you should. They have worked really hard to make it better, more variety, with the addition of Stihl products, large variety of bbq pellets, lumber, fencing, bbq grills etc. I was amazed. You cant please everyone all the time, but for our town, they are really trying. I fell in love with the new style lawn/camping chairs. Very reasonable and best comfort ever. They literally have an amazing rocking motion. You need to sit in the various styles for your best comfort. Stop in and take a look around. Find something you didnt know you needed!

Save your time and your money. Go somewhere else.

Home town home improvement store. They are adding new items and rearranging. Friendly most of time. Wouldnt hurt some to smile more at checkout. Floor employees always willing to help find what you need.

I’ve shopped at the Bixby Sutherlands about a dozen times and now is the day to post a review.I wasn’t greeted when I entered the empty store save the customer entering a few feet after me which prompted me to think staff was working in the back or body of the store. Wrong. The sales clerk was at the front counter, facing the entrance and oblivious to customers entering. Because I was in a hurry for a specific item needed by a contractor for a job in progress (the reason I popped into Sutherlands instead of Tractor Supply or Lowe’s), I asked the worker where I could find the item and she sent me to the wrong aisle in the opposite side of the store from the correct aisle. I went back and asked again and, without concern, she directed me to the correct area where I rummaged to find the accurate size (bolt coming in numerous sizes) needed. I picked up my 15 bolts and went back to the front, saying “there are 15.” She then proceeded to deliberately count out the 15 before proceeding. Now these are $3 bolts, not pieces of gold. I understand inventory control, but her dramatic count procedure was plain contrary. I left the store slightly irritated but satisfied that I was able to acquire the overpriced bolts which kept my fence job on track.Would I have written this review if the service received was the exception. Nope. But this is the Bixby Sutherland standard.Reasons to go to this Sutherland:1. You know exactly what you want, how it differs from near identical items, And where it is physically located in the store2. Time is tight and you can’t get to Tractor Supply (Glenpool where customers are treated respectfully and you get reward points that accumulate fast with your Tractor Supply card) or Lowe’s3. If you don’t mind unpleasant at best staff.4. If you don’t mind paying more than you would at other stores with the same inventory.

Store items that did not sell quickly were covered in a thick dust. Cleanliness is not there thing.

I bought some of that Fox Farms soil from them and I knew the cheaper price would have been too good to be true. It was full of bugs. I could see them crawling around, mites and gnat larvae. I was going to use this for my indoor grow. I will not be back.

Absolutely pathetic on serving any customers at all. This is a store that would benefit from self check out because the rest of it is self serve.

If you need an item that is typically stocked at a store such as this, then Sutherland s is a nice alternative to the larger, bigger Home Depot and Lowes. Less people to deal with and usually a significant but shorter walking distance. Thats a win win for many of us who hate to wander around the larger stores searching high and low for that one elusive item. Give them a try. You might be surprised.

I really like the variety at this store. Good invetory of farm and home supplies. Some of the employees can be somewhat lacking in service, but most of the ones who have been around for a while are great. 4 out of 5.

Ive always liked this country store atmosphere. The people are always there behind the counter to guide me in the right direction. Ive never had one of them walk me back and aide in finding stuff. There is little floor help . I just dont usually need that much attention anyway. The prices are much less than the big box stores. So Im giving them an overall good rating!

Before noon on their Friday Fruit Sale and they didnt have much fruit left. Did find yellow apples and grapefruit, which werent available at the 22st St store. Even though 21st St location did have more fruit and more variety.

I am incredibly disappointed in the Bixby Sutherlands. I made a phone call this morning to simply ask about field fencing that they carry. When I asked if the fencing would be good for dogs, I was asked what kind of dogs I had. An answer of pitbulls lead to the girl telling me that no fencing will hold in aggressive dogs like that Even though I very clearly explained that they are not jumping over a 4 ft chain link fencing currently. I do not appreciate being insulted by someone who very clearly doesnt have a clue what she is talking about. I do my best to shop locally and support Bixby but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Needed some supplies for electrical work went in found them checked out. Clerk was very knowledgeable friendly and polite

If you want to go to a store where no one knows anything this place is perfect. Bumbling people who cant answer basic questions and probably dont know where the toilet seats are located, except for the ones in the dirty bathroom. Incompetent would be a good word. The products are dated and very overpriced. They carry the brand of dog food that we use, but since they are always out of that too there is not any reason to go there. Returning something is like a flashback from the 1970s. They pull out papers and hand-write them. I really dont know how this place stays open and turns a profit.

Sutherlands is the place I swear Im not going back to every time I go, then I do because they are close. The shining star in this catastrophe of a business is an employee, I believe his name is Dick. Dick is an elderly man who goes above and beyond to help customers. The rest of the employees dont know anything about anything.
