Have never used a Professional mover before and didnt really know what to expect. Our driver was highly recommended and certainly didnt disappoint us from the packing, unpacking and everything in between. Bob Hatcher is a role model for others to follow and emulate. He made it as seamless as possible and would use again, thanks Bob and team.

I hired this company to move my furniture across country and I was very unimpressed with the moving company in terms of communication with the customer. The movers themselves were great (in ND), but there was constant miscommunication with my estimator and move coordinator. I changed my move date and website and move coordinator reassured me the date changed. Then I got an alert that the original date was still scheduled. It was a headache and a half to communicate with staff to have them once again update my changed date. I had to call multiple times to staff to get things organized and repeat myself as employees would tell me they didnt know about alterations. The company states that the movers would call the night before to give a window of when they would arrive the next day. This did not happen and when I tried to call no one answered, so we had to wait all day for the movers to arrive (this happened again once I moved to across country). When arrived at my destination the movers themselves complained about moving my furniture the whole time and were very disrespectful. I highly recommend you save yourself the headache and hire a different company if you can!

We used AAction Movers for a local move in Bismarck. Had problems from the start with poor communication: we booked them over 1 month in advance. I was told they would contact me for final details the day before the move. I finally called them at 3pm after I still received no communication from them. The move was estimated to take place from 8am until 2:30pm. In reality, they did not finish until 10:30pm that night! I even mentioned it was late and would prefer they return tmrw but they said that was not an option. Their workers were stressed by their supervisors time frame of being done by 2:30pm; 1 mover quit on the job and 1 left by 5pm as he had a meeting to attend. This left 1 mover @ 5pm so I ended up helping him for several hours. In addition to all of these frustrations, they were not prepared: they borrowed our blankets, pliers, hammer, screw driver and other tools. I have never heard of a moving company being this unprepared and needing to borrow supplies from the customer! As if this wasnt enough, they damaged 6 pieces of our furniture items (scratches, paint completely scraped off, items not assembled back together correctly, screws were stripped, scratched our wood floors and door frames). The worst was damage to a family desk heirloom that has been passed down for generations that is beyond repair. When I reported all issues to Aaction Movers management, we were told we had to pay our invoice in full before submitting a claim. It has been almost 4 weeks after submitting a claim and the only thing that has been done is their claims adjustor came by to snap a few pics of the damage. We even bought a full coverage insurance policy thru them so the damages should have been covered without question. Will update this review if they ever resolve my claim. But for now, 0 stars, take your business elsewhere!! Action Movers should be re-named Poor Action Movers.

We hired AAction Movers to help me move after purchasing a new home. They arrived on time and were extremely polite and did an amazing job. The 3 guys we had were Lynn, Kelly, and Harvey. Those 3 guys were some of the hardest working people I have ever seen. Very professional and just made the over all move so much easier and stress free. Also Dan Baskerville came over to do the quote and was really knowledgeable and when our house closing changed he came up with a plan that worked great for us. Overall great moving company to hire. I will be recommending Aaction Movers for anyone else who needs help with a move and wants it to be stress free!

I wasn’t moving but assisting someone that was out of state. The whole experience was great.Aaron stayed in constant contact with us and we knew what was going on at all times. David, Jordan and Alex were very professional and kind young men. They worked fast but at the same time attentive to the belongings. I would recommend action movers to anyone that was moving. This company was very unprofessional I had a large heavy item I needed moved from my garage to my basement. I made them aware of the weight and let them know the path it would need to take to get it where I wanted it. How many stairs up/down as well as flooring types. They rescheduled the move once pushing the date out a month. Then when they arrive on site for the first time to move the item they come with 3 guys (Unprepared). Their dolly breaks and they tell me it is unsafe to move the item and it should remain in my garage. After, they leave I have to call them to reschedule, at that time they assure me they will get it done today and they will send more guys. When the time rolls around for them to be out there to move the item they call me 10mins after the appointment time to let me know that they will send someone out to look over the site to make sure they can do it. Waste of time, unprofessional and very difficult to deal with, after hearing this after waiting for two months to have this item moved I told them to forget it. I am so glad I did! I found a different company in town that could get out to my place in a day, they brought protective mats and pads for the door and floors and they communicated effectively.

Wow. AAction Movers are Highly Professional. We recently moved from North Dakota to Arizona. First, AAction Movers has the GoMini service to hold our excess stuff while we were selling our house.Then when it was time to actually move, they had a team of folks at our house. It had snowed, so they put down floor runners to protect our house while they packed-up our belongings.The truck driver was on-site the whole time to make sure everything was packed properly in his truck. He gave me his route and timing for all of the stops along the way. He gave us a day and time to expect him to deliver our load.We are extremely happy with the entire move. Everything arrived in great shape. Nothing got lost and the workers in AZ put the boxes in the rooms where they we needed them. They even put together the furniture where we need it. AAction Movers are the best!

I hate writing reviews so this is a big deal that I am actually writing one. I dont recommend this company. Communication was awful and non existent the estimate was off. Here is what happened: My belongings were picked up on June 19th to be delivered to Wisconsin June 30th. It was a snap move but they didnt have containers but I was assured they were getting more in that day and my belongings would be loaded into the crates that afternoon. I heard nothing from anyone for the next 9 days. I called my regional move manager on the 29th to make sure everything was still on schedule. She informed me that she did not know where my belongings were but thought they were still in bismarck. I called the local move manager in bismarck and confirmed that my belongings were not only in Bismarck but hadnt even been crated yet! It was scheduled to be crated first thing Wednesday morning (a day after it was supposed to arrive in Wisconsin). I called every day that week and spoke with both the local coordinator and the national coordinator to make sure things were on track but no one could even estimate when delivery would be... my belongings sat at the bismarck warehouse for another week and did not get picked up until Monday the 6th. I was then informed on Tuesday that it took 5 crates instead of 3 or 4 and I owed money. Why was I not informed that it was 5 crates until after it was on the way to Wisconsin? I was in contact with a couple people from the moving company every day... seems very possible that I should have known sooner.. After a week of not knowing when my belongings would arrive I finally had a delivery date of July 14th a full 2 weeks after it was supposed to be delivered and 26 days after my belongings were moved from my house. I spoke with united/mayflower corporate to try and get some resolution on the awful costumer service and after a week of trying she was unable to speak with someone in bismarck about my move. When my belongings arrived the frame of my love seat was broken and a couple of items did not even make it to destination. The parts box that they packed was not taped shut and an important piece to my bed frame was missing and found on top of a random box 3 crates from where the parts box was located! Furniture was not wrapped appropriately edges sticking out of blankets tape over vaneered surfaces. I was very disappointed in the origin portion of this move.

We had a move with lots of variables and they were able to handle them with ease. Pick up and packing was on time. They transferred everything to Go-Minis, leaving the packing blankets on items for 4 months. Put a couple stray items in warehouse. Delivery of units was right on time and set up well. Pick up of empties was timely. Would work with them again without hesitation.

I would highly recommend AAction Movers! I Moved out of town so experienced two moving companies to compare, and AAction Movers was the best! AAction Movers had exceptional customer service and their guys were polite, hard working, and professional. I also had no damage. It took AM two hours/two guys to load my belongings, while when I moved to my current location, it took the other company two hours, with three guys, to unload (which was the easier part because they had an elevator and just had to set it in one spot instead of having to strategically place everything in a U-Haul). Price wise, I didn’t shop around a whole lot but AM was more reasonable than one other one I checked with. If you are looking for a moving company, I would highly recommend using AAction Movers!

Trent and Charlie did an absolutely fantastic job of going above and beyond. The office staff also went above and beyond. We called them after we started moving ourselves and realized that we were in over our head. They came out within an hour. Packed the trailer perfectly and moved super fast.

I recently moved from North Dakota to South Carolina. In Bismarck I used AAction Movers as the local agent for United Van Lines who handled the interstate movement of my housewares to South Carolina. I found the staff of AAction Movers easy to work with, reliable and professional. Sherri Fischer and Dan were esp easy to work with. They were very responsive to my calls and questions. Moving is inherently stressful but the staff at AAction Movers were great. This is my 3rd interstate move and this one was the easiest by far. On top of the great service they were able to reduce the final cost of the binding estimate by $400. Can highly recommend both AAction Movers and United Van Lines.

These guys did a great job! Had them move only the heavy stuff. Got quoted 3 hours and took 2.5. Nathan, Wayne, Charlie and Lupe were very nice and did a great job. No damage to anything. Will hire again.

Overall I did not have a good moving experience with this company. They were very quick to respond for the estimate, beyond that their communication was terrible. Trying to get a call back regarding scheduling was like pulling teeth.The packing crew did a halfway decent job of packing our stuff. The stuff that needed protecting was very well packed. The stuff that didnt need special protection was haphazardly thrown into boxes.I have mixed feelings on the unloading crew. Unfortunately the move-in was on the hottest day of the year, so the guys were miserable. They did a decent job of unloading our stuff with care, however they did manage to break one piece of furniture. On the other hand, our carpet is an absolute mess. The protection they used was nowhere near adequate. They didnt put anything down in our hallway until 2 hours into the move.

Book early as price will be better. Service was excellent and delivery was on time. Call center was great as well.

Do not expect to be reimbursed for any damages because they will respectfully decline to give any validity to claims of missing or broken items, even with full coverage. Customer service is not a priority, that was made abundantly clear.

My mother had moved from Fargo to Bismarck 8 weeks ago and ended up returning to Fargo. Her first company out of Fargo was efficient, pleasant, and quick. Action movers were the exact opposite. Instead of taking 3 men about 6 hours to pack a one-bedroom apartment, these 3 guys took over 12!! My elderly mom was in tears and our entire plans had to be changed in terms of transportation and accommodations overnight. I wish my sister and I had just done it ourselves, hiring some muscle for one hour of lifting we couldnt do on each end. Very expensive and frustrating! Cannot recommend. Sorry.

Our experience with AAction Movers in the spring of 2016 was awful. The crew did not arrive with the necessary packaging for the small portion of our things we wanted them to pack (including 2 mattress boxes, a carton for our TV and cartons for our wall hangings). The driver spent the first half of our moving day rearranging the load already on his truck. For the most part, the packing crew demonstrated a poor work ethic. We are a family of three, had packed most of our belongings ourselves and it still took them more than 12 hours to load our belongings onto the truck. As a matter of fact, 2 extra workers were assigned midday just so that we could be on the road that night. They crew of 4 arrived at 8AM. A crew of 6 left at 9:30PM. The job was supposed to be done at 6PM. When we received our belongings, it was apparent that the last third of our things were packed very carelessly and more or less thrown on at the last minute just so the crew could finish that day.I would NOT recommend AAction Movers to anyone.

Well first these boys can work! They where the best price in town and I got quotes from them all. Talk about an A team! The relief off my shoulders during the move was priceless. Update from below: when I actually looked at the trailer they packed for me, it was a mess. Boxes were haphazard everywhere, including my fragile boxes. There are new scratches and dents all over my nice, stainless steel trash can which now needs replacing, scratches on my mirror frame, a puncture hole in the side of my mattress, and scratches in several areas of my whiteboard rendering it unlikely to be used again. I think most of my fragile dishes came through ok, but I havent fully unpacked everything yet so not 100% sure...My initial experience with AAction movers in Bismarck was great. Dan set up the move and was fantastic to work with. He even answered a question on a Saturday morning for me. The guys who loaded my stuff were very hard workers and quite thorough while cling wrapping my furniture. There was a hiccup about payment afterwards where they said I owed more even though I had already paid, but John, the general manager, cleared it up for me.

We had two separate shipments delivered by AAction Movers and the experience with both was horrible. Every time you call the office, you are passed onto a voicemail and are never responded to. Even for just a few boxes delivered, our first shipment, they were unable to pinpoint any sort of time frame down. (morning or afternoon...nope...just 8-5). Then when our second shipment was delivered, they didnt show up the first appointment. They stated once again, when we made the appointment that it would take the entire day. Finally at 2pm we get a call that they wont make it! A whole wasted day (and lost wages). It took many, many calls back to finally set up another day for delivery. There were only 3 guys, and they were definitely not professionals. They didnt even seem to know how to get the crates open! It was ridiculous. Will NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I was calling around to get an upright spinet piano moved from my upstairs to my downstairs. It was from my living room down 8 steps to my entry way and then down another 6 steps to the family room. This place gave me a quote for 3 times the price of anybody else. They also said they would need about 2 hours to do this job. My dad, son, and myself moved in the piano 20 years ago and it took us 15 minutes. Their quote on price and time is completely unrealistic. I never did hire them just to be clear.

We just finished a move with Aaction movers today 5-22-17. I was very impressed with the staff from the moment we called to schedule the move. On Friday 5-19-17 we received a call from the Bismarck office confirming the driver and staff would be at the house by 9:30am. On the day of our move the driver called at 8:45am and stated they would be at the front door of our house by 9:00am which they were. I also received a follow up call a few minutes later from the Bismarck office stating the driver and staff had left the warehouse and were on the way to begin move. The driver and staff introduced themselves and wanted to ensure us our belongings would be safe. I was very impressed with the professionalism, friendlyness and concern the staff had regarding our belongings to be moved. A couple hours after completion of our move we received another call from Bismarck office asking how are move went they went above and beyond in customer service to ensure everything went smoothly and that we were 100% satisfied. The driver and staff had us packed up and out without any troubles in a timely fashion and all of our items arrived at the new location without any breakage or damage. Very satisfied customer! Update: It is now 6/12/2018, 10 months after the move we have received absolutely ZERO $$ or repair for any of our household items, even 48 missing boxes! This is with the extra purchase of protection insurance! (This does nothing except add hundreds of dollars onto your moving cost.) The company does not honor the plan.My advice to anybody using Aaction movers or United Van Lines DO NOT buy their protection plan insurance. Also put it on a CREDIT CARD so you can get at least partial payment back after they ruin and lose your belongings, which is almost certain if you read all the negative reviews on AAction Movers or United Van Lines..Also in regards to their response from owner they have investigated and do know they have done nothing . I will continue to update.

I would never recommend this company. We were just a local move but when they moved us out of our North location it was a nightmare. Then we stored our things for four months and our furniture was damaged from them crating it. Our three pieces of furniture that they did ruin from their carelessness only resulted in $42.00 claim. These pieces of oak furniture were given very low weight. Never agree on 30cents a pound from the sales person when you sign a contract!!!!! They refused to come to our home to see the damage also. I asked twice that the person in charge of claims come out and see the damage. All we get is a letter refusing to pay out more for pieces that far exceeded the weights they gave our furniture. This gives United Van Lines a very bad name!

Edited: 7/31/19Used Aaction movers last minute to help with moving a pinball machine. Sherri F. And John H. were great! Wonderful customer service and very efficient. Would highly recommend!!!We rented 2 go minis from AAction for our move they worked out fantastic! We used the first to de clutter our home for showing and the next for our large furniture. They brought it to our home we loaded it up on our time and they took to to the Aaction lot. Once we got to our new home they brought it over and we hired 2 workers to help us unload the heavy items. They showed up on time and were super friendly! I have also used AAction to help move some items at my business they were on time and worked quickly to get the job done!

I believe that these pictures reflect AAction Movers true attitude toward its customers. Dan Baskerville, saleman was misleading and a did not communicate with the move coordinator. Our local move was supposed to have been scheduled by Dan for May 5. Dan had estimated that we had 11,000 pounds of household goods and that it would take 18 man hours to load. May 5 arrived and went with no movers. Baskerville, a GOOD CATHOLIC, his trust me saying, made arrangements for a Saturday May 6 loading. The crew, 2 loaders and a recorder, arrived at 9:45. The final results were 6020 pounds and 24 man hours. That excluded my time assist loading 4 hours, and all the beds were disassembled, and most of the boxes had been stacked in the garage. Go figure..... 55% of the estimated weight, and 66% more man hours to load.Our goods were supposed to be stored in a climate controlled warehouse. That is what Baskerville stated and what our paper work says. They were not. I specifically asked if storage charges were pro-rated by the day and the answer was yes! Guess what, do not sign an credit card authorization in advance, because they charged for a whole month of storage .The crew assigned to load our goods in Bismarck ND and transport them to Minneapolis MN had never packed a truck before. I guess that is what management calls Midwestern Values like respect for your property and on time delivery. The amount of damage to our goods is substantial. The number unaccounted for items is substantial.WE KNOW HOW YOU DO BUSINESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHERE YOU DO BUSINESS.Better yet, your company should not be in business

The front end of our move from Arizona was not what we were sold. The sales person told us that the driver who picked up our household goods as well as our boat would be the same driver who delivered everything to our new home in North Carolina, This never happened. We were told by the sales person that our boat would be transported inside one of the trailers. On two different dates the sales person and I viewed together from the boats manufacturers website the full description and dimensions of our boat. Our boat was prepped to be delivered inside of a trailer. Instead, it was pulled to North Carolina on a flabed truck. We have had to file a claim against United Van Lines for damage to not only the hull due to diesel fuel exhaust discoloration of the entire hull of our white hull boat but upon delivery of our boat to the drop off location, the boat was dropped and damage was sustained to our outboard motor, tail lights and fenders. We also in the same claim have filed for the complete destruction of our L shaped office desk. Ok, now that the bad news is told, if your still reading this, Harry Togle of Action Movers has been a genuine help with getting the claims filed and Brian of Armstrong Movers in North Carolina have been upfront with their sincere honesty and concern for the above problems. All of our art work and furnishings arrived safely. My recommendation at this point is to question the sales person with every minute detail you can think of. Call the actual moving company such as Action Movers and verify all that the sales person has promised. Be sure to take our any and all additional property insurance you have available. They hire the most inexperienced people in the world! The worst movers in the country!

Everything went well. All of our goods were packed and delivered intact and on time.

I worked for this company for a little over a year and a half, the experiences i had there were some of the worst I have ever had. Right at the beginning it was pleasant, i learned a lot, but it quickly went south from there. First, i received no formal training what-so-ever, everything i learned was taught to me by fellow co-workers. Second, the conditions we were required to work in was less than favorable, some of which, however, was to be expected, as the job required us to be working outside as much as inside. decent clothing was provided, and was expected to be worn, but that is where the niceties ended. It eventually came to be, where crews would be out until 9:00 at minimum, this isnt so bad in the summer when temperatures are favorable, but in the dead of winter it got to be too much. the ramps would get covered with ice, and a few times the homeowners would call the office, saying they did not want us to be out there because it was too dangerous. The response they got was that we needed to finish the job. this resulted in items being damaged, workers getting injured, and in general a lot of stress all the way around. The attitude at that company was before all else cya (cover your a**), and it showed. From my experience, it didnt matter what happened on a particular job, as long as you cya. Also in the event of an employee getting injured on the job, they would get us in to wsi very quickly, but after that we were not given time off to recover, or be scheduled to be able to make any physical therapy appointments. Third, we were not given the proper equipment for the job, even after asking repeatedly for said equipment. Fourth, the pay was decent starting out, but on a majority of paydays there would be some headache, which would result in being under-payed, and some excuse as to why. To sum up, in my opinion this company is very disorganized, and does not treat there employees properly, whether it be pay, proper equipment, or handling of unforeseen problems. I do not, and will not ever recommend this company for employment, or hiring.

Had a move in December 2017. I had horrible communication with my representative. And when my stuff finally arrived almost a week late, it was damaged and they refused to reimburse me for the damages.

They ruined some of my furniture, they were amateurs not very professional.
