I came in here a couple of weeks ago to ship some fragile packages out to some relatives in out of state and needed them there fast. Larabeth was able to provide me with advice on how to best ship my items without blowing my budget while ensuring my items were packaged correctly. She was very friendly throughout the transaction and informed me about some other services this store offered that I hadnt considered before which could come in handy for my up-coming projects. Very great work ethic and refreshing to see during these times.
I walk in and wait in line behind 3 people ahead of me. At my turn I say I need something notarized...the young lady tells another woman across the lobby that Im needing a notary. The woman across the lobby is sitting at a desk and says theres no notary. The young lady says again that I am needing a notary. The rude woman sitting at the desk said louder theres no notary...notary service ends at 5! The young lady sympathetically looks at me and I look at my phone and the time is 5:03. So, I turned around and walked out the door and will never return to this UPS Store location ever. There were 4 employees and only 2 were servicing customers while the other 2 were sitting behind desks looking at a computer monitor. Laziness and unprofessionalism were definitely noted.
I had a booklet printed and bound here. The work was perfect, and I got a great price. Service was superbly fast and friendly.
Always the most helpful staff!! Really appreciate the customer service here.
They are the best!! I walked in frantically trying to get an urgent package to family out of town, and Anna was so kind and helpful. She truly went above and beyond!
By far the best shipping location in Birmingham. I gladly drive by multiple other UPS and Fedex locations and suffer parking in Five Points to use this location. They don’t nickel and dime customers, but earn business through respect and friendliness.
Five Stars - Good experience at this UPS store. Erika, Bradley and Carlos were of tremendous help! I will go there now on a regular basis. Thanks so much.
Went into this location not knowing exactly how I wanted my art to be printed, but Anna took the time to talk it through and gave us multiple options. She definitely went the extra mile, and my print turned out even better than what I imagined! Thank you, Anna!!!!
Went it needing to check on a package That I paid for overnight shipping for 3-5 days ago. They basically told me they couldn’t do anything about and that I was informed when dropped the package off that they wouldn’t be able to do anything. I was not informed of that, yet the *manager* persists that “all his people are well trained so he knows that I was informed.” I LAUGHT at that response. Trust your customer if they told you that no one told them what you’re telling them. Do not insult their integrity by CLAIMING that “all your employees are well trained and would’ve told you.” CLEARLY THEY WERE NOT, TRY AGAIN.
Awesome store with super-friendly staff!
Update ups delivered package today
Hit or miss service. Have had satisfactory service before at this location but today I asked to print something out from my email as I dont have a home printer, and was directed by an associate to use the stores employee (as I was to find out) computer. After I logged in and asked another associate for help (the first associate was busy with another customer), I was told curtly that I cant use that computer. After explaining I was told to use this computer by an employee this associate said, who told you that? As I was pointing to the person who directed me to that computer the second employee began lecturing me on why I am to sign in on the other computers, otherwise the store makes no money on my activity. Feeling disrespected and patronized, I immediately signed out and said, thats why Im just not going to do this today.I did not need an economics lesson. I needed to print something out on my way home from work to make my day a little easier, but instead it was made worse, and all because I was trying to follow instructions. Ill be buying a home printer because I want to avoid the hassle of using the UPS store computers.I would also recommend using different locations of the UPS store. This one is staffed with different people every time I visit, typically uninterested and unfriendly, which is bizarre because its central location means that they probably do a tremendous amount of business. I probably just answered my own question though; they can probably afford to staff that location with just about anyone with a pulse.
I have used that location for years and have always found them more than willing to assist me with any “crisis” that I was trying to avert. I have read some of the less than favorable comments and can honestly say that none of them resembles any experience that I have ever had there. If you are deliberating based on reviews, I think it is a pretty safe bet.
I will never go here, or any other ups store. You pay $200 for the day they tell you, but your package arrives a week later, and all they say is WELL!!!!. Well...... You dont have to worry about my business or anyone I know using you for any shipping needs.
Have had great success with this location the past two years making calendars for family. Very courteous employees, efficient service, and high quality products. I will continue to use this spot for future printing needs!
Best place around! All the employees are so nice and eager to help you. Ask for Jaelynn, he’s the best! Spent almost an hour with me trying to work with an issue I had. So awesome
Better Than the Rest!Attentive, knowledgeable, engaging staff. Neat, well equipped store. Free parking in back. Took pack & ship order in on Wednesday two weeks before Christmas. Decided to use UPS ground. Packages were delivered several states away on Friday.
The BEST ever!!! Staffs are so friendly and professional, and they always give me the best experience. Every time I go there they always manage to get me out of there in less than 5 minutes which is IMPRESSIVE!!!
A very professional and knowledgeable staff. The print shop is amazing. As a photographer I work hard capturing images for my clients and The UPS Store In five points always takes care of my needs, so I can serve my clients faster.
Ive visited this store numerous times since moving to town. Its become one of my favorite places to do business. The services Ive employed include parcel shipment, printing, and notary. Usually I have questions about the task at hand, and the associates have been friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. They also dont mind giving newcomers to the area a heads up about local businesses. Impressed!
UPS sucks I had to drive around town to find all of their drop boxes that are in weird buildings and convenience stores, and the drop boxes are so small u really cant put in any normal to medium packages. Which isnt convenient. Why would a packing and shipping company have such small drop boxes to begin with. The package wouldnt fit in the box. The post office drop box is much larger. Wow ..... UPS, thanks for nothing. And all of your locations close early...the latest is open to 7pm. The Main post office is open later than that and less expensive. Why not have at least one location in the City of Birmingham or surrounding areas that are open at least til midnight. UPS is in my opinion is a very inconvenient place to do business with. Two thumbs down
The young lady at the counter greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. I was returning DirecTV equipment and was somewhat puzzled by the companys instructions which werent too thorough. However, she educated me really well on the items they didnt want returned to them. She checked that I had not left batteries.in the remote which I had intended to check before leaving home but forgot to do. She was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable.
Best place to go for any design or print needs, hands down!! Nick can work miracles. If you need something done and they for some reason cant do it in house, hell help you figure out the best way to get it done. Nick has come in early, stayed late, delivered print to me personally when I couldnt pick it up. The entire staff at this store is amazing and helpful. 10/10, 5 stars, A+Oh and they pack and ship things too
I visited this store yesterday to drop off a package. I needed the box taped and I also need the label cut and taped to the box. I went in expecting them to sell me a roll of tape and scissors like the post office would make you do. I was surprised when I walked in to a very friendly staff that took my package and said well have this taped and ready to go today. I was out the door in less than 30 seconds! I highly recommend this ups store for all your shipping needs.
I have had the pleasure of working with the UPS Store team for many years. They are very attentive and detail oriented. A little patience is required considering the nature of this business. Great service, Great team!
Notary service is very unprofessional. Kept telling me to wait “couple of minutes” and ended up wasting 30 minutes of my time. My time is more valuable than the cost of your service.Replying to the owners response:I was not informed that it would be up to half an hour. I was told to wait Few minutes and even if English isnt my first language, I understood that few, even though isnt an exact term, it wont be a 20-30 minutes wait. If I didnt say something, I wouldve ended up waiting for more than 30 minutes. When I called the store the day before, i was told that Notary services are offered when you walk in. the UPS store on 20th St North truly provides a walk in notary service.I paid for the service at the cashier in advance as I wanted to save time and the offer you are talking about is how one of your employees brought back the money and receipt and handed it to me and told me to go to another store. So you basically kicked me out. That was also very disrespectful.I never requested a special treatment because of my station or title. So dont use that. I am only informing people on here that the Notary Service is unprofessional.
This is my favorite UPS store in Birmingham. I’d rather wait and go to this store on my way into work than go to the store down the street from my house. The staff at the Southside location are so incredibly helpful. Even when I don’t have everything perfectly prepared, they quickly take care of the package and get me checked out. I can’t believe I actually care enough about a UPS store to write a review, but this one is worth the time. Thanks, Folks. You rock!
I was in Birmingham from Boston, visiting a critically ill friend at UAB. In the middle of that stress, urgent business came up. Thankfully a nurse said go to the UPS Store up the street. Within minutes I was in the good hands of Bradley and the UPS team. Printed out the documents, signed, notarized, faxed and then shipped overnight. All that is part of their business model - however, it was the caring, the calming, the empathy for my situation that made this an exceptional five star experience. Grateful.
My printer wasnt working before I had to hwad to class... I emailed them while I was on the way and had my papwrs printed quickly. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I also bought a sympathy card and mailed off a package. They were also VERY nice and courteous! Will definitely be back!!!
Great customer service. Thanks especially to Nick for all the help shipping a package with dry ice. This (independently-operated) store really seems to go the extra mile for customers with unusual needs.
Stopped in to drop off a package, very polite and professional staff, will definitely use them again.
I have issues with the online ordering system but that is not the fault of the local Birmingham, AL Southside employees. I live in Tuscaloosa and needed six 11 x 17 signs printed in about a five hour window so I could frame them for a Birmingham theatre company. When I called to see if I could get them earlier than the 6pm quote, the woman helping me (I wish I had asked her name but this was the afternoon of 9/13/19 if that helps) said she would change some things around and get them for me by 3pm. I cannot tell you how much time and anxiety that saved me! Also while I as there I noted the other gentleman working with her jumped up the minute a customer came in and was very professional and cordial. In a world where customer service has gone down the toilet that really means something! Ive also a few years ago popped by to get a notary signature and this location was completely helpful. Only complaint is the parking but...big city...whatcha gonna do? Again, thank you for helping me! It meant so much!
Update your store hours on Google so people don’t drive over in the rain during a pandemic to drop off packages. Says your open until 7 but the door says 6
Great customer service and I always can count on the deliveries scheduled
Unfortunately every time I go in this store (typically Saturday), the same employee is there with a snide remark, inappropriate statement, or just general rudeness that makes this place pretty unplesant for me. But, they’ve never lost a package, and have decent supplies so I’d say that part of the store is great.
This location has always been a positive experience for me. Nick is very professional and almost reads my mind at times it seems.
This location has helped make sure I have professional items at a competitive rate regularly. They are diligent about making sure everything is correct.
Where to begin with this horror show, 1 star is much to high a rating. The person I was dealing with was so horrible and incompetent that after 5-6 phone calls over 3 days(and zero of 4 emails responded to, emails with all the pertinent information for items to be picked up, packed and shipped) I asked to speak to a manager, well Bradley WAS the manager. Great. I asked if he had a supervisor or the owner and he dismissively told me HE was in charge - this is where the attitude ramped up, before it was somewhat subtle. He would not respond to any email asking for quotes or telling me when they would pick up the items (the pickup service they offer). It was like he didnt want to have record of the quotes or times in email. He would respond to direct questions in email with would you please just call me, how hard is that - as if my schedule revolved around him. After 3 weeks of trying to get them to pick up the auction lot, I made arrangements with another UPS store that would pick up the same day. I called to cancel at the previous store, told Kody (who told Bradley while I was on the phone) and someone else as well and I also emailed the cancellation. 3-4 hours later they used the paperwork from the first email to pick up the items and I was informed by the other UPS store that the items were already picked up (the seller wasnt supposed to release it to them either but that isnt as much their fault)When they packed up the items they used a huge box, about 3x larger than what was actually necessary basically tripling the cost of everything. It was very expensive now. I knew this wasnt right so I emailed asking for the weight and dimensions of the box he used, and I got a reply of the dimensions and a just call us response. This was after I had called 4-5 times that day and they were always too busy to talk. Now he wanted me to call immediately (6 hours after the my first call) and when I didnt he proceeded to call 6 times in 30 minutes while I was on the other line (call waiting beeping 40-50 times for each call, he just let it ring harassing me - I couldnt end my call it was important and why I called 6 hours prior and used email). This harassment continued 3 more times with about 2-3 calls each time until their closing time (total of about 13-15 calls, ringing non-stop b/c no voicemail turned on).My calls the next two days were hung up on, I never knew who answered the phone, but 5 calls were immediately hung up on when they were switched to an employee.I called the other UPS store I had scheduled and told them what was going on and was going to have them pick up the items to ship. I was informed of who to ask for at the other store and that they would be helpful. I called back and got someone I hadnt worked with - Mikee. This was a delight. From the very beginning the attitude was like night and day. Bradley has no business working with customers or in customer service. Mikee was helpful, promptly returning emails with complete answers and readable sentences, complete quotes, etc. Included in the emails were the photos of how Bradley wrapped the items and it looked like a 4yr old had done it.There were a couple fragile items, noted 3-4 times in previous emails (maybe Bradley cant read, IDK) that were to be wrapped in bubble wrap b/c they were glass. These were the only things not in bubble wrap. The large bulky durable plastic items were layered in bubble wrap and I told him they didnt need ANY. So, Mikee took everything out of Bradleys packaging and re-packaged the items and did an EXCELLENT job. I would rate that part 5 stars, but after 3+ weeks with Bradley, 1 star is too much. The final shipping was less than 1/2 what Bradley quoted (and it wasnt $5 vs $10, it was MUCH higher). The items arrived and everything looks to be in order.I just cant understand how this business can make Bradley a manager and deal with customers. I had another problem with them 1 year ago with bad packaging on a piece of glassware, it looked like a 4yr old wrapped it too.
The UPS Store in Warrington, (Pensacola), Florida is equipped with the most courteous and knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond to help their customers. Its a wonderful experience and I always get great service, walking out feeling good to have been helped by such nice people. I have been to other UPS stores and havent had the same experience.Tom Kuklish is the owner/manager of this store and he is outstanding, always making sure his customers are taken care of, and if there are any problems, hes ready to solve them promptly and professionally.S. Henderson
Great service. Friendly employees.
Courteous, attentive, and helpful. Highly recommended.
Awful customer service. Three employees and not one said hello or I’ll be right with you. When I was finally waited on, the employee left me to help another customer and ignored me. UPS isn’t a charity and should expect professionalism from those they hire to represent them.
There is one of your employees at 20th Street South Birmingham store who is very rude. I have been to the store multiple times and he always behaves in a very condescending way. He has done it every time I go to the store, even if he is not assisting me. I think he is the store manager, Dont remember his name. He is tall white male, 6Ft something tall. I am writing this message as today he accused me of taking the store pen without checking if the store property was in place or not. I was carrying my own pen and I dont give a damn about a $1 pen but to be called out when it clearly wasnt UPS property without checking was really really rude. Please take necessary action, Thank you
A few days ago I came in to have some designs and prints made up quickly. I gave the instructions to the main graphics person and he didnt follow them. I was upset with the situation and then he had the audacity to argue my instructions with me. It wasted my time and I couldnt believe that was his idea of customer service.I will be taking my business to the store in Homewood from now on.
Very professional and courteous on the phone and in the store.
Professional, friendly, efficient...They understand the value of service and relationship. Thanks Guys!
Very professional service and the staff are always willing to help
Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Good hours
Unfortunately, I found the store useless. I have a package scheduled for UPS pickup, however, they have not reached me at my home address. I tried to leave the package at this UPS store, a very logical course of action, I would argue. They refused to accept the package scheduled for pickup by their own company!! The staff was not helpful.
They are so awesome go see Chris and Blake for all your printing needs they are freaking awesome
Great service and friendly, does a really good job on your business cards.
THE Worst UPS store. Staff does not return calls and reply to emails. They make promises that they dont support.
They are consistent, reliable, helpful and Right on time!
Have always had an easy time walking in and getting out in just a few minutes. Staff has always been kind and friendly.
Fast good service. They can also do passport photos.
Positive, prompt, professional service. Always.
Quick in quick out always helpful and friendly
Very friendly staff and extremely helpful
Is the store going to be open today? 7:35 and nobodys home.
Great and friendly service
Nice and professional!
Not a real UPS store, you cannot use accounts to ship from here. Store is not marked as an affiliate but is. Staff Is discourteous.
Not on point with customer service!
The customer service was awful, went in to have documents notarized and the notary left me sitting at the table for 20 minutes. I had to asked another representative where he went and he stated he went to the restroom. I sat, and sat, and sat.
Very helpful staff
