Delicious food, friendly service. Wait for food was 30 min, but worth the wait. I would recommend. We love this place!

Seriously easiest one of the best burgers you’ll have. They’re simple burgers and that’s what makes them special. They don’t need to be loaded up. Sometimes simpler is better.

It was good, had the double cheeseburger sider and a coney dog and both were good. The best part of the meal was the onion rings they were cooked perfectly, just needs some kind of dipping sauce. Will go back for sure.

It has been pre-pandemic since I have been here.I used to come here all the time back in the day.I decided to come here on Sunday for lunch.I went with Four Sliders, no pickles, and tater tots with a coke to drink. They are not doing dine-in, but they have a couple of picnic tables out in front of the restaurant. They were pretty busy when I got there. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. It was not too bad of a wait, considering how busy they were. I sit down at the picnic table, pull out the burger and take a bite. Mmm, mmm, so good. The hamburger tasted like I remember. So delicious. If you have never been, you are missing out.

Only had a regular hamburger. It was good like the old top hat used to be..... those grilled onions mmmmmmm

This is a staple to blow that diet! Love the thin patties, grilled onions, melty cheddar, and toasted bun on their burgers. Shoestring fries are crisp perfection. Don’t skip the onion rings or shakes either! I recommend the “cookies and cream.”

Ive been eating at Hunter House for around 33 years now and theres definitely a reason for that. They have the best food around in old school joints like this, Bates in Livonia e.g.. The food is simply always so exceptional. So delicious, flavorful & fresh. Hunter House cannot be beat. If you havent eaten here yet, get to it and enjoy yourself!!

In no scenario should it take 25-45 minutes to make an aggressively mediocre burger. I worked at a similar place for 4 1/2 years and these guys are just doing a bad job. Additionally, it was interesting to note that white customers were treated warmly while people of color got very uneven and different treatment. So thats cool.

Burgers always great, but was told there was a 15 minute wait time. I’m sitting here writing this 45 minutes in, hungry and late to where I needed to be. No time to get lunch anywhere else now. If I was told 45 I wouldn’t have waited!

So we wanted to order Drinks and before I could ask the boy said. It will be an hour wait for your order. I just threw out the fast that it much take them a long time to pour 2 sodas. Im sure he didnt care bf after all he doesnt own the place and his parents made him get a job when he turned 16. Good for him, I can respect that.

Stopped in on Wednesday and ordered 6 sliders (All with bacon, two with an Onion Ring), two small fries, and frenzy fries (fries with bacon, ranch, and cheese), 4 drinks (rootbeer, fruit punch, and a fruitpunch lemonade mix, and a chocolate shake). The fries were really good!! The sliders were just ok. The rootbeer was flat, and warm. I did say no ice, but I did not expect it to be legitimately warm. I heard good things about their shakes, so Ill be indulging shortly!!

In the wide sphere of Detroit style sliders. I do believe that Hunter House has the best compared to all. ie: Motts, Brays, The Telway System, Cobbs, Greens. 2 places not included: White Castle and Green Dot Stables. Ohhh Pinkies up Birmingham for having the best ghetto burger!

Great cheap food! Was told I needed to stop here on my trip to Detroit and am so glad I did. The fries and tots were on point, perfect level of crispiness without being overcooked. And the sliders were just enough to hit that level of fullness without feeling overstuffed

How do you say anything but I Love This Place!! Its an institution. Classic Detroit Sliders. Ive probably eaten here 100 times in my life, and i can promise, it wont be long until i return. Do yourself a favor... if youve never stopped in, do it today. If its been a little while, go back. Couple Double Cheeseburgers with everything, fries, and a Mr Pibb... just screams classic cheat day meal. Actually... Im gonna head back now. See you there!!

Fastest service, and best sliders ever had. Been eating this since a year ago. Still never gets old. Could improve on the bathrooms. But other then that great energy when eating there.

Drove by this restaurant for several, several years. Today, we stopped. Best little burgers we have ever had! Really, really good!! Actually went back in for seconds! Wish we could have had more. But, we will be back again and very, very soon!

Two double cheeseburgers are better than one. Theyre on the small side but really good. Grilled onions and pickles, fantastic. And tater tots for the totsmen and totswomen of the world.

I ordered ahead and have a large amount of food for the family. It was ready when they said it would be, very nice, and everything was in the bag. Cheeseburgers are delicious! Boyfriends family had them for the first time and loved them!

Burgers and fries were good, not great. Service was slow and not the best (to be expected somewhat when entire staff appears to be high school age). Definitely a neat spot, but more so for a younger crowd than myself.

Hunter House in Birmingham, Michigan is a superb delicacy. A classic American slider burger joint that has charm, a unique character & atmosphere has some of the best sliders youll find anywhere! Theyve been in business for decades and have a very dedicated local following for a very good reason! Decorated in a very clever manner. And the food is absolutely delicious!

I wish Google had a six star option!! Hunter House is AMAZING!!! This is a small white pillbox building on Woodward Avenue in Birmingham, Michigan. This looks just like it did in the 50s. The lunch counter is worn from years of use. The flat top grill puts out the most amazing sliders you will ever have. Perfectly caramelized onions are smashed into each patty. Melted classic American cheese completes the package.I went for two triples. They are three patties to a quarter pound. I could have easily eaten another dozen!! This is the one and only place I would rank as highly as Blimpie burger in Ann Arbor. You need to go here!!! Then you will want to go back again!!

The burgers are excellent, the price is right, and the service is A1. We enjoyed ourselves. Well be back.

No nonsense place for a great burger. Small quaint little corner shop. Burgers are all fresh ground beef and buns are nice and fluffy! Just know when ordering that the patties are smaller. A double burger is more so like a single burger. So order a triple or 2 doubles. They do have this posted so you know how to gauge your order. Double cheeseburger was delicious as was my second hamburger. Fries are hot and crispy and onion rings are good too. Shake was just ok. Staff was very friendly and all cooking is done in front so you see everything they are making and plating. Super reasonable prices and quick service. It’s a small place but don’t fret it, you can order ahead and pick up at their nifty takeout counter on the side. Ample customer parking lot with no charges and no timer!! Fun place to come and experience.

Its not smart to have all teenagers serving food. The girl only took half my order despite us being 2 feet away and the guy talked over the fries and chili the whole time we were there.

Food was really good. It was insanely busy on a Friday night but we got everything in a timely fashion.

I recognize everyones nostalgic love for this place but its horribly outdated and burgers arent good enough for the headache. From the microscopic parking lot to the equally small dining area, nothing about this place has changed in decades. It sounds cute but in practice its a major pain to deal with. The kitchen isnt equipped for the large number of customers, to boot, so after managing to park through a physics-defying miracle, youre looking at a 25+ min wait for a few burgers. The area around HH has seen a massive population growth since it opened; unfortunately, Hunter hasnt seen fit to grow with it.

Finally tried Hunter House. Less than a mile from my house and I never had it. Really enjoyed everything. It was a treat to get some fresh burgers and tasty fries.Will definitely go back for more.

This place has a classic vibe that you just dont see anymore, but the location looks unkempt and dingy like an old road side dinner youd find up north. I suppose this is part of the character that people enjoy, but my first impression of this place has seen better days. The food was fine, and the onion rings are honestly the best I ever had! I wanted to try a shake, but the machine wasnt working at the time, it happens. The sliders were good, but whoever prepared my food used the kung foo grip so tight you could see grip marks on the buns like a greasy stress ball. Maybe that is normal how they make them and all part of the charm people like about this place, but I just dont get. Is it too much to ask for a sack sliders that dont look like they just went three rounds with Tyson? Despite the hype, the the look of this place inside and out, and the presentation of sliders was off putting and I dont think Ill be going back. If that doesnt bother you, then its worth giving them a shot.

No other original experience like Hunter House. Yes it may not be a fancy place or a place youd leave smelling good, but it is a place that you will leave satisfied hands down! I love the sliders, but what I love even more is the experience more than anything. Something my father and I will bond over during the Beautiful summer days. Taking him here is like taking a kid to a candy shop, it throws him back to the good ol days. He loves the small white building, and the smacked up sliders because it reminds him of his younger days. Its honestly unlike any other experience youll have. One of the only places where you can walk in and have a burger in peace by yourself without people judging you on why youre eating alone.

First time here. They got my order wrong wouldnt of cared if the female that was working wasnt rude about it. Other than that my bf loved the burgers

The food is fantastic, but their service isnt very good. Plus they pushed back their opening hours until 11:30, but then wouldnt make food for anyone actually at their location until like 12:15...

Food is always fresh and cooked to order. Perfect little slider. I recommend getting a double or a triple, so the bun to burger ratio will be consistent. They always seem to go a little heavy on the onion, so I always tell them light or no onion at all. Great flavor, quick service. Havent had a shake yet but one of my friends say its the best theyve ever had....

When you want a real burger but not a huge one these are great. Real hamburger meat, grilled onions, mustard, ketchup and pickle. Now Ive talked myself into wanting one or two.

The 1970s is when I started eating at Hunter House. Our family business was Manley Bailey funeral home a few blocks away. We would order from either Hunter House or Albans EVERY day. Many places claim to make sliders and unfortunately for them I always compare them to what I know as Sliders from Hunter House.

Always a treat when in the area. Consistent quality and fast service. A guilty pleasure for sure. Best to indulge right before hibernation though. I always get 2 doubles with cheese, fries and a coke. It hits the spot each time.

Burgers are awesome. Staff a little disorganized. The counter people dont get waited on. Its about the outsider at the window. Its inexperience but good help is hard to get.

Ohhhhhhhh my..... A Birmingham jem!Also try their breakfast. Its good like anyone breakfast joint, but differences is in the surroundings, the smell, the noise and the classic feeling of the 50s. A must try at least once.

You’re paying premium Birmingham prices for what amounts to a $1 cheeseburger available at other slider locations. For $2.30, you get a traditional Detroit style slider. I wasn’t a fan of the steamed bun, which was more soggy and wet than steamed warm. The meat patty didn’t have much flavor.

Hunter House (Birmingham) has consistently delivered with quality sliders for years. I have been going here for around 8 years now, cant beat the taste. Always worth a drive out. They are also COVID compliant, no worries on that front.

The food tasted phenomenal! It didnt seem like their order process was very systematic though so it took a little while to order and then get my food.

It was very busy when I went so there was a wait, but thats understandable. Really cool little diner with very good burgers.

The food is decent Id give the food a 2/5 considering it is over priced for the restaurants in this area I honestly wouldnt waste my time coming here especially considering there pretty dirty and last time I came there were flys everywhere inside.
