We just had our counters installed today in our kitchen and they are absolutely beautiful. We went with a white quartz and they also did our kitchen sink which is an under mount large single basin. Mandy and Britney were the two ladies in the office we worked with and they were so helpful and sweet from day one. The crew that came this morning were courteous and professional. They called before they came to let me know they were in route to my house. On time!!!!! Very knowledgeable and did not waste time getting them put in. Two hours and they were done. The Seam is flawless where the two pieces connect, the sink is perfect. It all turned out Better than I had envisioned in my head. I would recommend southern stone and will be using them again when we do our bathrooms. I’ve already recommended several of my friends to them. Their Prices are good and fair. the office staff and field crews are so nice. I work in construction and so does my husband and we are very picky when it comes to how people are treated and execution of the product you are selling/installing. These guys know their stuff. Thank you for helping make our kitchen beautiful!!

Good customer service

Buyer BEWARE!!! Terrible workmanship. I purchased a granite countertop from this company. At the time, they were offering a “free sink” installation with the purchase. Fast forward 5 years, the sink is hanging down (huge gap) away from the granite. When I look under my sink, I see they attached the sink to the granite with a piece of wood (2x2) and glue. My sink is being held up in 2 places by glue!!! There is no wiring or kit.....just held up by GLUE!!! This is unacceptable!!! I will NEVER use this company again. The work speaks for itself.

Great experience all the way through. Staff was always very helpful in answering my questions and responding to any messages. Great price on the quartz we were looking for and comes with a sink and sink install. The guys that did the install did everything to make the counters fit in places my wall was a tad bit out of wack and the quality is incredible!! Cuts, seams and set are all great! Will definitely use again.

I just recently had my cabinets & counter tops installed with Southern Stone and I could not be any happier and pleased with my experience! A friend of mine referred me to them and told me they had the best prices which is very true! All of the ladies in the office are very nice and respectable, also very knowledgeable in their products they carry. The measurement guy and installers were also very kind and helpful in everything. The installers did an amazing job from start to finish and always cleaned up afterwards! I am so so pleased with my install & I will most definitely be using Southern Stone Inc for my upcoming vanity remodel!! I highly recommend this company to any and everyone!

I cannot say enough positive things about this company. They were very professional (Brittney was great) and informative when we went to the office to pick out our granite for the kitchen. Theyre priced less than some of their competitors but that did not sacrifice quality. The guys that installed the granite (Nahum and Ivan) were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and did an awesome job! We highly recommend this company and will always use them in the future.

They did an incredible job. They did our fabrication for us for our kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. They were very professional and treated us like family. Most of all the quality of the work was exceptional. There are a ton of people out there trying to get paid for mediocre to poor service. I contacted Southern Stone about modifying our countertops in order to accommodate a freestanding range since we had to replace our old drop in range. I emailed them over a weekend and Mandy responded first thing Monday morning. She was very informative and responded quickly to all of my additional emails with follow up questions. We needed everything to be done within a very specific and short timeline and they provided a reasonable quote and were able to get us scheduled for the morning the new range was going to be delivered. The installers arrived within the time frame they said they would and were very professional. They took time to speak with me to confirm what was needed and to explain their process and what they would be doing. Afterward they got started immediately and finished the job quickly and cleaned up before leaving. Based on my experience I highly recommend Southern Stone.

I recommend Southern Stone to all our friends. My mom has used them twice, and we used them for our kitchen granite. All were wonderful experiences. I always bargain hunt, and Southern Stone had the best prices hand down, but still an excellent product, superb installation and sweet customer service.

Best price and good overall product however office staff is terrible and very rude (Tori and Brittany in particular). The saving grace for this company is the guys who do their install because each I’ve met were very kind and professional unlike their co-workers who are customer facing and work in the office. My first piece ordered through them was cut completely wrong. Two months later, they finally had another piece come in similiar to my first color scheme and I requested it be cut in a particular direction. Once new piece was delivered it was obvious it had not been cut in the direction I requested. Obviously, Brittany swears it was, however she never once marked the granite while we discussed the direction I wanted. On top of that, the price I paid for the second try was MORE than they had originally quoted me; they did nothing to try and rectify their first screw up and we ended up paying more even though it is beyond our control that they initially measured wrong for the same space. I do not recommend this company as I do not believe they are an integrity and customer based business. Pay a little more for a better experience and a company with integrity.

I am a local contractor and I have been using Southern Stone in Pelham, Al for about a year. They have always installed a professional product. They adhere to their schedule as well as anyone that I have worked with in my 40 years as a contractor. I highly recommend them.

Southern Stone remodeled my kitchen and I couldnt be happier. I have recommended them to several others including my daughter who is putting in her Southern Stone kitchen. They show up when they say they will and their product is top quality!

Excellent price, excellent finished product, but dealing with this company was awful. The office staff (Brittany in particular) are rude, and very quick to fib to cover what appears to be chronic disorganization. We were quoted one week from cabinet install to granite install, so we paid a deposit and stopped shopping - but when we went in to schedule, we were then told it would be 3 weeks. Overall well never use them again, because other vendors can produce similar results without lying about phone calls and schedules.

I would not work with them again. While the granite countertops that we (finally) received from them was pretty and was installed well, the office staff was incredibly rude, lied multiple times, and their customer service was terrible.

Initially the sales people were very informative & helpful. Once the countertops were installed incorrectly, though, they were no help at all. I realize stone cannot be perfectly matched at the seams (1 seam is fine but the 2nd seam is not a professional install at all. My decorator & I have contacted the sales person (Susan) several times but the mismatch has still not been addressed or fixed. She promised to contact me at the time of sale when the stone was received at the shop so I could be in on the layout plan but that never happened. Would never recommend this company to anyone.January 10th Update...still no response from these people. If I could give a minus star, I would!

A friend recommended Southern Stone, and since it it very near my home I went over to view their inventory and speak with them about new countertops. Mandy was very helpful in discussing various options for materials and gave me several color samples to take home for comparison. I chose a white quartz with very little veining, a straight edge, and went with a 60/40 double stainless sink they had. Their installers were punctual, professional and very careful to make as little mess (dust, etc) as possible. They even hauled my very heavy, old cast iron sink to my basement, where I will later put it in my garage sale this fall. Mandy at Southern Stone gave me the name of a very good tile installer, Todd DeVasure, who put in a nice white subway tile backsplash for me - once again, a punctual, professional, careful person associated with Southern Stone, though an independent contractor with his own business. (He was also responsible for re-plumbing my garbage disposal, re-installing my glass cooktop, etc after the new countertops/sink were put in.) All in all, I have been very satisfied with my purchases and experiences with Southern Stone and highly recommend them. I also highly recommend Todd DeVasure for your tile work.

Ive been graciously assisted twice by Southern Stone. The first time was for my kitchen when I fell in love with a granite design that has been a dream come true. I later wanted to put granite in both bathrooms but Southern Stone did not have my choice of Napoli White at the time. I should have waited! Instead I made the mistake of going to Premier Surfaces who had this product on their display floor & was told it is a very popular slab & we should have no problem getting remnants. Instead of them allowing me to see the actual slab as Southern Stone had done, they texted me picture of the slabs. When installed, I was told not to touch them until the following day when my plumber came to install the fixtures. Both slabs were rough and chipped and damage had been done to walls as they were going to the main bathroom with the single sink. When I complained about the condition of the slabs and my damaged walls, I was told that my plumber probably did the damage and the slabs are a natural material and the condition is to be expected. They refused to fix either problem. I then contacted Southern Stone and asked them to check out the slabs. They stated that both slabs were bad slabs. They took me to their slab storage where we felt the slabs - so smooth! Just like whats in my kitchen. They didnt charge me for the removal of the bad slabs and installed the beautiful smooth finished Napoli White replacements. I would recommend Southern Stone to anyone and everyone! They saved my sanity! Thank you Southern Stone!!!
