They could have used a second cash register being open, but I understand staffing shortages.....I just hope big companies dont continue to use that excuse forever! The store wasnt especially crowded, but the person paying was having trouble with his card, so a long line grew.
Unbelievable. Poorly stocked shelves. Unclean. Staff is hard to find so you have to go searching for help or even someone to check you out because the checkout spots seem never to have staff. The people in the pharmacy, itself, are incredibly rude and absolutely unwilling to help.
Would give zero stars if I could, accused me and my wife of stealing with no probable cause. Employee comes over intercom Security please scan all areas, ESPECIALLY ISLE 13 with an attitude. Only me and my wife were on isle 13. Extremely unprofessional and just lost about $150 worth of sales. Management needs to do a better job at picking and training staff. Go across the street to CVS where you can shop in peace. Will never shop at Walgreens again.

Made a covid test appointment with them, upon arrival they just pointed at a sign that said no tests available. Apparently havent had stock in a month. Understandable, but they should have at least canceled. Utterly indifferent to the inconvenience they caused- a different attitude would have gone a long way. Overall, bad.

This has to be the most unpleasant place. The people are so unhappy and seem to go out of their way to be rude. Only a couple of them were actually nice. People will always remember the negative things over the positive.
The store manager closes the store 6 minutes early! On 6 Apr 2021 at the Walgreens on 101 Green Springs Hyw, Birmingham, Al, the manager stood on the inside of the entrance door and did a body block in order to keep people from entering. The time was exactly 9:54 PM. The store sign says they close at 10 PM. She used her key to lock the door. Two customers tried to enter but she did not allow them to enter. She then unlocked the door to let inside customers out but quickly body blocked the door again. Obviosity an attempt for the staff to go home early.
The light skinned (slim weighted) cashier was very rude and seemed extremely unhappy!

Rude staff with bad attitude. I was buying something and I laid my money on the counter next to the item I was buying. Puzzling, she looked at the money for a long time and then proceeded with the transaction. When she angrily handed me my change she said OH!, you want the money placed IN YOUR HAND. I didnt know it, but she apparently wanted to me to place my payment in her hand and somehow got angry at me. I was not being rude or anything. The rude cashiers name was Erika at 9:55 PM on April 6, 2021 at the Walgreens store, address 101 Green Springs Hiway, Birmingham, Al.
Incapable of greetings or politeness. They had us wait over 40 minutes post surgery for pain meds. Go anywhere else.
Pharmacy area was completely incompetent and was not able to attend my needs in spite of my consistent pain for the past three days they were not able to do their job and even call me back with difficulties in even putting the order in the system. Even though when I talked to the person responsible “Jamel” it would be ready in 30 mins; and when I came back two hours later absolute zero disregard for the customer was showcased in this branch. Will call corporate. I’ll keep you posted for the actions taken to refund me my complete waste of 5 hours of my day. Store manager “Surmoan Oden” try to solve the problem however the problem of incompetency and lack of sense of urgency was already present and no one can give me back the absolute waste of five hours I had today. She gave me a discount as consolation price, which at least I’m shocked they did something. Store 6034. 1800 Walgreens. I got here at 10:35am and now I can finally leave with my issue resolved at 1:23 pm. Step it up Walgreens, I’m never coming back to this store.
Yried to speak with a pharmacist, but the automated system wouldnt put me through. My prescription was called into them by mistake. I needed to speak to a human.
I’ve recently experienced the worst customer service at Walgreens with whom I assume is the manager her name is Shari. The Walgreens I’m talking about is the one on the corner of Green springs and Valley Ave in Birmingham, AL. For two days straight I’ve had this employee be sarcastic and rude to me. I had a manufacturer’s coupon and many clipped coupons on my rewards card that I wanted to use. At the check out register I noticed one of the coupons did not appear. I expressed how I had a specific coupon I wanted to add and the lady proceeded to tell me that she has a line and expressed to me that I needed to hurry up. She treated me like I wasn’t a valued customer. She asked me if I wanted to start over and I said yes, she expressed again that she has a line, so I suggested I would go to the back of the line and wait until I fixed my coupon problem. She didn’t object to this but she kept my manufacturer’s coupon at the checkout counter and the products at the register until I returned to the front. When I solved the problem, she rang everything up and proceeded to tell me that the manufacturers coupon is in the register and she couldn’t “get it out” and that she would discount a product instead of scan the coupon. I found this to be a problem because I didn’t know if all the coupons would work if she did this. I explained that I didn’t want to do that and that I had an extra coupon in my car that she could scan. My husband left to get the coupon but grabbed the wrong one. She again became frustrated and eventually opened the draw to get the original coupon I gave to her to scan. I tried to be as respectful as I could to prevent any other problems with this employee. I got all of the coupons to work out the way I planned, but with a lot of aggravation from this employee. I’ve worked in Sales and I know that changing the price of products can sometimes prevent a coupon from working that is why I didn’t want any prices to change. I will not be going back to this Walgreens again.
Dropping off and picking up a prescription... The lady barely gave me any direction on what to do the whole time. For instance:I walked up to the pharmacy and was not greeted. I handed the prescriptions over and waited for a minute or two. Not knowing what to do, I asked if I should sit or if she needed info from me. She told me she needed info. She also told me she had no information of my sisters insurance so I needed to call and get proof of it sent to my phone for her to view. As I’m working on that and calling the insurance company, I notice she was handing me my drivers license. She didn’t say a word! Not a “here you go” or nothing.Finally she found insurance information! I thought she couldn’t find it??Giving a 3 star because they do their job; I got my meds. She also printed me proof of insurance-That was nice. But I wish she spoke up and gave me some information so I wasn’t waiting in the dark. And I wish she just looked up the insurance info without me having to call, waste my minutes, for her to find the info on her own anyway.If you want exceptional service, try somewhere else.
Walgreens corporate needs to get involved and clean this place and the staff up.
Every time I need help from a pharmacist, they are extremely rude and dismissive, as if I am a burden. Recently discovered the staff at the Vestavia Hills location is GREAT! I would rather drive the extra distance and go there.
Katie the pharmacist was very rude and acted like she was doing me a favor. As if I wasnt going to pay for the medicine. Apparently the pharmacy closes at 2200 which I was not aware of and I showed up about 20 minutes till so that may have something to do with it. Front staff not very friendly either.

This Walgreens is a nightmare and the woman I think is the assistant manager is possibly the worst laziest person on earth. Customer service is nonexistent, I was grabbing coffee and walking to the register at 9:58. Made it a point to pull out my phone and look at the time and the woman behind the register screamed at me MAAM YOU NEED TO COME ON WE CLOSED. I was floored. Every time I have to come here its an awful experience and I will stick with Clairmont or Montclair where they treat you with just basic dignity.
Where is the no stars option? I was going to buy some shampoo, toilet paper, and other items tonight, but I just walked out instead. My fourteen year old was on the next isle looking at a magazine. A lady told he that she couldnt look at the magazine without buying it, so we just walked out without purchasing anything in our buggy. Ill never go back in there. I have never experienced anything like that in a store.
Was here for photo printing and the service was awesome, Kenneth was a great help. Really great customer service by him. Recommended 100%.

I would put zero stars if it was an option! My husband and I stopped at this location Sunday night, January 26th, 2020 at 8:55pm to use the Western Union service. I sat at the computer, typed in all of my information and right as I was about to hit the complete button a young man came up behind me and said “don’t hit that button”. I asked why not and he replied that the western union services stop at 9pm. It was 8:58pm and he had already watched me type in ALL of my information. All that was left to do was hand me my money. I informed him that the first screen on the computer said the western union service was available until 10pm. He argued that I was wrong and that it ended at 9. Ok, well it wasn’t yet 9pm either. Now an older short black lady approaches with a cash register in her hands and begins to argue with me that it was past 9 and wu services end at 9. It’s still only 8:58 at this point. I tell her of the screen I read at the beginning of the process that said 10pm. She then becomes irate and asks us to leave the store. I then ask her if she didn’t want us to use the western union service because she had already counted her drawer for the night. This obviously was the real reason they didn’t want to help us because she became highly agitated and began cussing at my husband and myself. We were again told to leave, so I commented that I would be reporting her and contacting Walgreen’s and western union’s management. I was then told f*** you, I was called a “white b****”, and told to “get a job”; Just because I’m picking up money my mother sent me through wu does not mean I’m not employed. I actually own my own business! I will never use this location EVER again, and may not ever use ANY Walgreens location again because of how rudely we were treated here! And I still plan to contact management right after I submit this review! This lady was VERY unprofessional and should not be working with the public! I have never in my 40 years of life been talked to so rudely and been called racist names just because she had already counted her drawer, an hour EARLY I might add!
Here waiting on a prescription. Mens restroom unavailable due to being locked with broken electronic lock.Asked to use womens restroom instead. Management has pointedly ignored call for assistance. If i lose control of my bladder ill leave it for them to clean and seek counsel.The restrooms here are for single person only. Allowing womens to be gender neutral should not be an issue. My wife and i stop here almost daily. Wont be returning.
I called about a product that was listed as in this particular store with an inventory of 10+. I have purchased this product here before without issue. The customer service rep tried to tell me they dont carry it until I mentioned I got the information from the Walkgreens website. After explaining that they likely have them in stock. (He had no clue what he was looking for, asked me for description, got bored and hung up) Stay minimum wage!

Im a health care provider working on my doctorate and many of my friends are pharmacists at hospitals in the area. Obviously the pharmacists here know none of this so I was appalled when I had a brand new prescription filled and the pharmacist never approached me at the desk. She never asked if I had any questions, if I was aware of the side effects, if I knew not to drink alcohol with the medication, nothing. I thought she would at least have the courtesy to remind me that I couldnt drive while taking the medication. When I was confused about the refill process on another medication, the sweet tech went to ask her. She turned with her back towards me and speak to him without even acknowledging that I was standing 3 feet from her. I was made to feel like a nuisance instead of a customer. On a different note there was a blonde pharmacist working who was doing a great job trying to appease the disheveled customer next to me. If my prescriptions were filled by her I assume my review would be much different.
Didnt have a good experience with the Pharmacists working at this location. Very rude. They made a mistake in my order and gave me the wrong dosage. When i went back to return it they said they will not refund the amount. I switched back to CVS and will never do business with these idiots at Wallgreens located wt green springs.
