I had originally given Southern Quick Print a good rating, but my experience with them has only gotten worse to the point of being unacceptable and prompting me to actually write a review.My friend was referred to them by someone at Paper Source while she was buying paper and envelopes for her wedding. The first things we printed there were OK. The ink on the envelopes was a bit smudged, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured that was just because it was a rush order.I returned to get the bulk of her wedding materials printed. First, they didnt have the ability to print the small RSVP envelopes. Not great, but not a huge deal. I dropped them off on a Thursday and told them I would need them the next week. A week later I still hadnt heard from them. My friend (the bride) called to see if theyd be ready and was told their computer had crashed and someone would call back. No one ever called her back, nor did they even bother to call and let us know the order would be delayed in the first place.I called the next morning to check on the progress and was told they’d be ready that afternoon. I asked the person on the phone if I could come by around 4 to get them and was told that I could. When I got there, they weren’t ready. I was told that I could wait an hour to get them or Hal could come bring them to me at home. A nice offer, but I didn’t want them to rush and also I’m not super comfortable giving out my payment information over the phone. I told him I’d come by Monday at noon to pick up the order.Well, the bride and I went to pick up the order today and it was a disaster. Despite the fact that I had included handwritten instructions corresponding to the file names, the same instructions on the flash drive with the design files, and gone over everything we needed with them in person, some of the order wasn’t printed at all, some of it was on the complete wrong paper, and it was all mixed in with someone else’s order. The employee we dealt with didn’t really know about the order, was rude to us, and told us to blame someone else for the mistakes. They obviously have poor communication with their staff as well as their customers.The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the stuff they actually printed was passable, and they didn’t make us pay for their mistakes. As a designer, I’ve worked with other Alabama printing companies and never had these kinds of issues. I will not be taking any more business here, and I definitely wouldnt recommend them to anyone. We ended up printing the stuff ourselves, with less hassle and better results.
The person handling my WEDDING paper turned in our order on Wednesday, August 9. We were told we would have everything by the end of the following week. Apparently their computer crashed, which they didnt bother to tell anyone, and my order couldnt be completed. When I had to call and ask what was going on, I heard the man in the background saying she has plenty of time before her wedding, I dont understand why she is in such a rush. Im sorry, sir, I didnt realize I asked you for your opinion, and according to wedding etiquette, I am right on time. Plus, the real issue here isnt when I send out my invitations, it is that you didnt follow up on your end or even bother to tell us you wouldnt be able to. So when I went to pick up my things today, not even half of my order was printed and they had mixed all my paper in with someone elses so I had to stand there and sort through everything to try and make sure I got all my paper back before I left. The man at the counter said, Dont be mad at me, I didnt do it. The guy who did this is in Kentucky watching the eclipse. So thank goodness the only person in the store wasnt willing to take any responsibility for the terrible service we received. Honestly, you would be better off printing your own products at home. This place is a joke and so is everyone who works here.
Love Southern Quick Print. We have been doing business with Bob and Hal for over 7 years. It has been like doing business with family (in a good way).Each year our printing is mo better.

I ordered business cards from this store and received horrible service. Hal, the owner, promised the cards would be ready in 5 days, he promised a proof, 5 days later I was told that they were ready but they needed to be coated and I could pick up 3 days later, but I hadnt ever seen a proof. Then 3 days later I went to pick them up and I was told that they are off getting coated by a third party. Then later that day I received a proof. The cards were not as requested. I asked why they printed the cards before sending the proof and I was told that they havent started on my cards yet. Horrible customer service from the owner himself. I filled a complaint with the BBB. I hope they learn basic customer service soon.
