Great card selection fair prices clean well organized my only negative about them is there staff. they just wanna be big kids all day when people need there products they seem to not care. Now you gotta shop on there website and they will get your order. They dont wanna do any leg work. But they want your money? Just seems like a bunch of big kids that dont care about your business.

This shop is extremity friendly and knowledgeable. Their inventory is massive just like their care for their customers. A great place for everyone, lots of table space, and unbeatable prices. I believe an employee named Wes helped me out & he was super friendly and quick. I sold my Pokémon cards and was in & out of the store in less than 20 minutes. I was also satisfied with their cash offer of my collection. They typically offer 50% of the retail value of your cards, which is reasonable - if you want 100% of the retail value of your cards, sell them on eBay. Perfect place to quickly exchange your card collection for cash or store credit without any hassle. Will be back!

I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any help. I inquired about buying individual cards for my set Im trying to complete and if they offered store credit for cards. I was given additional info on how to navigate their website for placing orders to ship or pickup. Jesse told me to make sure I select pickup at store especially on my phone otherwise the site will defer to shipping the items. Overall he offered great service while creating small talk about what I collected and even gave me a card from his collection to add to my set. Most shops get a stigma of being a hangout spot for regulars but this place made me feel just as important.

Great community, and a very kind and helpful staff. As an anxious person I was very nervous to go into a crowded place, returning to play a game I haven’t touched in 10 years. Staff helped with everything I needed and as I was looking over my new stuff, eventually folks invited me to play although not knowing who I am, and I see it happen all of the time now. Definitely a safe haven for like minded folks!

Ethan runs a tight ship. He’s been in the business for years and has just about anything you could want.Playing space is large and the general vibe is good. You’ll notice several players that will visit other good stores in the area show up here a large portion of the time.As an added bonus there’s now a snow cone truck owned by Ethan outside and a Japanese restaurant next door.For large collections this is a viable option. I’ve never once had a bad experience with that and I’ve sold thousands of dollars in cards to this shop.

A local leader in the TCG community. The couple that own the business clearly care about their customers and trading cards. Great selection of singles, accessories, and sealed - was excited to see some of the older MTG draft packs. Phenomenal experience!

I always get quick service here, even though my shopping isnt the stores niche market. I go here for some paint supplies for game minis and, while I wish they had more paint options, I understand that deck building games are their primary focus. Everyone is welcoming and happy to serve their customers. Support local game stores!

I took my son to the facility last Friday night and we had a wonderful experience! The young lady that helped us was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She was very patient with us as we selected several Pokémon cards from the special collectible case. They are now our go to place for trading cards.

Walked in for about 15 minutes and not a single person spoke to me. The inventory was pretty bare outside of magic the gathering. Very uninviting.I was in yesterday afternoon (July 6th) around 5:00pm.

This is a really good card shop. It had a nice community, and is very open. They have a good selection of card, and they sell cards for alot of games. Would definitely recommend going.

I can’t really blame the store for this, but there wasn’t a huge selection of Pokémon cards last time some friends and I went. My friend says he got ripped off when he traded stuff in, but as far as my experience went, I had no real complaints. Maybe we should’ve picked a better time to go when Pokémon cards weren’t sold out everywhere you looked. Store was clean and set up pretty nicely. I’d give a 3.5 stars if I could, but the nerd in me appreciates what they do so a 4 is more deserved than a 3.

I went in here a few months ago trying to sell some of my childhood Pokémon cards. Me trying to think they were a honest business and would give me honest offer for what I was trying to sell, I took it to them. Not knowing it at the time, but they only gave me $350 for $5000 worth of Pokémon cards. This is the most crooked dishonest business in Birmingham. Do not go here. If you try to sell anything, they will rip you off. And I dealt directly with the owner during the whole transaction! DO NOT GO HERE! DISHONEST BUSINESS! DO NOT GO HERE!PS: I Sold them multiple PSA graded base set Charizards, Blastoise, and Venusaur‘s, and they knew they were ripping me off! DO NOT GO HERE!

Whatever’s been said bad about them forget it. Great staff and very knowledgeable especially if you need help building a deck. They’ll let you know if it’s legal or not. Most of all a solid selection if your buying singles!

Air fresheners plugged in. Lol. They let you eat there as long as it does not interfere with other players or merchandise. They sell snacks and drinks in house. Outdoor sitting area. A growing collection. Located within walking distance of a Chinese and a Mexican restaurant. Multiple restrooms. Only wish they could get their hot water fixed. They tolerate children.

I honestly didnt get to stay long enough to play any games with them.It was quiet and peaceful when I walked in. Staff was helpful and friendly.They had exactly what I was looking for which was nice.All their tables had playmats laid out on them. Some had a lot of wear on them.Over all it seemed like a well stocked trading card store with friendly and helpful staff.Will visit again someday and leave a more detailed review.(Hell if I know when though LMAO)

Fantastic! I mentioned I was from out of town and didnt have any dice or sleeves. The owner overheard and gave me some sleeves on the house! The turnout was great as was the atmosphere. Will certainly return if Im around again.

Great store even if you live outside of Birmingham. Crimson Castle in Tuscaloosa sucks in comparison. Strictly worse owner, policies, and hours.Do yourself a favor and visit this place at least once. Ethan is a great guy and will take care of you.

Very nice people, always willing to help around! First time being there for an event for MTG and all my opponents were nice and fun to talk and compete with! Was visiting my grandma and I am from Kentucky, so I will definitely come back again!

Store has no sense of customer service. I contacted them before making an online order stating that I was in a time constraint to get my order. They stated they could ship out same day, they did not. Tracking has not updated. Still no clue what’s going on. Ethan, the store owner thinks he deserves 5 stars for replying to messages and fails to realize that all I wanted was my order and not to be lied to. Would give 0 stars if I could. 1 star is far too generous. Buyers beware.

When you advertise that the first 8 people who register for an event will receive a sought after promo that you can only get from events like these and then change your mind to giving them to top 8 right before the tournament starts, thats called false advertising. One of the reasons we drove 2 hours to come to your tournament and got there early was to receive this promo.

Friendly and helpful staff. Fun place to play card games and meet people. Especially Magic. I’ve been out of the game for about ten years and recently started getting back in to it. They have fun events like open house and Friday night magic. My only complaint is they open kinda late through the week(like 5pm). But I’m glad they stay open later at night.

Its a card shop with card shop atmosphere. The owner is a great guy and always a pleasure to work with. Some of the staff seem unwelcoming to new customers but overzealous when it comes to friends and long time clients. The collection is growing steadily and Im looking forward to providing continued business, and seeing how the store grows. I will change my store accordingly, however as of now Im disappointed that this is the best cardshop within driving distance of my house.

They agreed to buy in bulk and all the cards are in perfect condition then when we drove two hours away to get there they only wanted to buy 4. They will tell you one thing then change it when your face to face.

Aging geek here. It has been at least 15 years since I played Magic and now my kids are getting into it. The staff was helpful in picking out a gift set for the kids and giving me a brief update on where the game is.

The atmosphere here is very good, and I found it to be a welcoming place. I would highly recommend this place to people looking to play and trade cards.

Owner doesnt even have basic customer service skills. Was in the store and noticed they are pre-selling the new MTG set if you buy a whole box of boosters. I asked about the price, which they gave at 90$ since it was a special, to which I commented that was a great deal and comparable to a price you could find amazon and was intent to buy.. Until the owner felt like putting his foot in his mouth and proceeded rant about hes a brick and mortar store and how dare I mention amazon in his place of business.. Claiming that he has want amazon doesnt and thats a place for people to come together place (he is right), but he missed the other thing he has that amazon doesnt.. And that is face to face customer service. So needless to say, I wont be going back and will look for another place to play at and spend my money at.

I posted a review of this place out of spite and the false feeling of being taken advantage of a few days ago which was rude and unfair of me. Would like to apologize to the staff and owner; that review has since been deleted since it did not reflect an honest review of this store. For one the owner whom Ive spoken with on the phone once (for like 30 min) was very friendly and went out his way to accommodate my questions more so then Ive ever experienced by any store owner before or since. The two employees I have encountered are very nice and respectable and as much as possible will drop everything they are doing to help you. They are also very knowledgable when it comes to their products. They do have a good product selection, but just because I possess a business oriented mind believe they can expand their merchandise a little.bit and possibly introduce systems that can increase profit margins by utilizing the internet a little more. But hey thats just my opinion.Overall great store, and very friendly atmosphere I would reccomend anyone who has an interest in their products to definitely visit this store. Its one of the best if not the best stores of its kind in Birmingham. And I say that after visiting most if not all stores in this market and interacting with employees and owners as well.

Its a good place for getting cards from your favorite card games, like pokemon, magic the gathering, and yu-ghi-o, and sometimes during the week theyll have tournaments and battles for the card games.

This is one of my favorite card shops. They buy and sell all sorts of card game paraphernalia, including but not limited to: Cardfight Vanguard, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and Weiss Schwarz.

I was from out of town and running around looking for a Guilds of Ravnica prerelease. Owner went very far out of his way to accomodate me. The interaction was very genuine whenever Im around for work again this is the only place Ill be playing or spending my gaming money. If youre new to the area... Or from the area this is where you should be playing.

Great place for magic the gathering and any of your card collecting needs

My girlfriend and I just visited here for the first time today.Im getting back into Magic for the first time in years and years, so we looked up card shops. This one came up, so we checked it out!The guy at the counter was wonderfully helpful. He described what the store has to offer, such as the TONS of cards from all the major games, including Pokemon which my gf is big into. They also have lots of gear for protecting your purchases, such as sleeves, deck boxes, and binders.Card Addicts hosts tournaments too, which occur pretty often (more than weekly) and have sizeable prizes for winners!As a teaser, one of the tournaments he mentioned had rules like this: You get a point for playing any game against another tournament player, up to 5 games per week. You get another point for winning. The whole tournament ends in 6 weeks. So... The winner (most points) is often somebody who puts in the time to play, as opposed to somebody who has the bankroll or years and years of experience. Its a very cool way to set up a tournament, and makes it much more forgiving to newcomers trying to learn.Grand prize: a booster box! Normally $100 box that has around $150 worth of booster packs (if counted individually) inside. Perfect for an upcoming player!While we were there, around a dozen players rolled into the store; they appeared to be gearing up for a tournament, which I saw had a $5 pay-in. I didnt catch what game, however.Theres lots of seating and space for players, too, and some friendly banter thrown around between players, employees, and others. Its a good environment!Booster packs (modern ones, at least) generally run you $4 even... After tax. So, that way, you can know exactly how much youre spending.
