This donut place is an event. Just saying. The donuts are a lot - I mean, it might take you a while to decide. They all look amazing and they have so many flavors! Like Cookie- a donut covered with cookie batter frosting? French Toast donuts. Donuts with bacon and maple, of course. Cream filled donuts, jelly filled donuts. I mean... its an event.

Todays glazed donut wasnt as magical as my last few have been, but humidity, is likely the culprit, not the actual donutery. Staff is always super friendly, never rushes you in making a decision. I got 2 glazed, one chocolate glazed, & one Apple Crisp.

They are soooo good! We recently moved to the area form out of state and we have been missing our local donut shop. These donuts are what we have been craving! They taste freshly made and the dough itself has a great flavor and texture. The toppings are sweet, but not so sweet that you can’t taste the individual flavors. The service was great and they even have a lot of coffee and tea options. We will definitely be back!

We went inside because it was our first visit. We had the best service, seriously felt like VIP. She was doing both the drive thru and front, paying attention to our every need. She answered all of our questions, never said anything about our crazy almost two year old thinking he owned the lobby. Every last donut we picked was amazing. They have an accurate name for their taste and service.

I usually absolutely love this place, but the last two times Ive gone have not been a good experience at all. Last Saturday, they were out of beignets when we arrived, a little annoying but it was whatever. Today, though, we waited in the drive thru, which was decently long due to no sign stating they were out of beignets. As soon as we got up to the drive thru window, we were told that the drive through was closed and to go inside. Well, we go to go inside and there was a new sign on the door stating they were out of beignets. This is just really disappointing.

My friend had this sent to my house. The Heavenly Donut Company wrote Happy Birthday on the box. (beautiful handwriting, btw) The donuts were delicious. Great experience.

Wow!!! The french toast donut was amazing. Out of the ones we tried, my husband and I enjoyed this one the most (especially with some black coffee). Excellent service as well even though they were really busy!

Its an okay quality, the donuts really taste like home made.. but the choices are limited and the donuts are already cold. Its nice to try, but will definitely go for other options next time. The server doesnt wear gloves when picking up your donut/order with a wax paper and wrapping it up to put in a brown bag. Just a heads up.

Went in on national donut day and wasn’t disappointed. The donut was soft and the icing wasn’t too sweet. Also the dude behind the counter was super nice and cool. I will be back again

Beignets are so good! You get them warm, they melt in your mouth. Highly recommend it!

Update: They rectified the issue and pulled through just in time. Google will not let me delete this review so I guess updating is the best I can do.Ive been trying to place an order with the company for three weeks now, Ive been calling them every Sunday and multiple days throughout the week. I finally got a chance to speak with their special order manager and she told me shed text me photos of the donuts that I needed (that same day) and I could pay then that phone call was Jul 15th. I told her my event was the 29th of this month and she stated that was fine. I called today to see that they had no recollection of my order and no one could take it or let me know when shed be available. As they have been doing for weeks they took my name and number and nothing happens. I am so disappointed now I have to rush and find someone to fulfill my needs for a birthday party. I support this business on many occasions but this a big let down

They rank #1 in my taste tests.Although a sofa, tables and chairs dot the store along with local artists paintings, you’ll really wanna get a dozen..or more...to take with you. A chalkboard lists the week’s Donut of the Day —not one for Monday as they’re closed. In a rush? They have a Drive Thru.If I had to find fault it would have to be my preference for really, really strong coffee. But if you find Starbucks too much, then you’ll enjoy their selection of hot or cold brews.

DO NOT use their online ordering system. I have used it twice and both times it has failed. The first time, the employee filling my order failed to scroll down to see that I had ordered 12 donuts instead of 6. By the time I went to pick up my order, the missing 6 were already sold out. The second time was on mothers day. I went to pick up my order and was told that my order had already been picked up by someone. Some measure of quality control needs to be implemented, how about a receipt? Order number? I was told by the employee that I just had a common name in the south. Inexcusable. This is enough for me never to come back.

The donut is soft and delicious but the frosting was really thick and I ended up taking half of it off. The frosting did taste like strawberry and it wasn’t an artificial type of flavor but it was just so thick. The filled donuts are better!

The donuts are hexagonal. Hexagons have six sides. Six is a mathematically perfect number. Heaven is a perfect place. Therefore, the donuts are heavenly. Q.E.D.But seriously, they are delicious.

This place lands my top 3 donuts hands down. Top it off with a solid variety and drink selection and excellent service, its also one of my families favorite places to go for a treat. We recently attended their Halloween donut decorating day for the 2nd time and its always a great time for the kids because they have all sorts of toppings and can even try piping some icing. I live close to this place and decided to stop in one day. This place is great! The donuts are soft and have just the right amount of sweetness. The plus side is they are open 24 hours most days of the week. Sweet!

Its cool and unusual to find a donut spot open this late!This place has a homey feel and would be a nice place to chill with friends if one had the time.I ordered a French toast donut and a coconut donut. Boyfriend was less adventurous and got a glazed donut and a chocolate donut. All of them were alright, but we werent as wowed as Id hoped wed be. I think the quality suffered from a lack of freshness - coming earlier in the day mightve yielded a better result. Also, they were sadly sold out of several flavors I wanted to try.More specifically: the French toast donut was a little dry and too sweet for my taste. Basically was like a mouthful of syrup in donut form. I liked the coconut a lot better; the dough was lighter and moister. Still a bit too sweet for me, though. Boyfriend said his donuts were about on par with Krispy Kreme.Im sad this place didnt quite live up to my expectations, but I wouldnt steer anyone away from it! Definitely worth a try if you like donuts.

We have been enjoying this business for years and today realized we havent shared this gem with others. In addition to their amazing selection of fresh made donuts, the owners and team have a real heart for the community. Any leftover donuts each night are donated to the local food charity (Grace Klein Community) and help to #FeedBHM. Whether its one or a dozen, you cant go wrong at Heavenly Donuts.

Went yesterday and they were out of everything “good”. Why they don’t bake more of the popular donuts is confusing to me. They also had flies in the closed cases. I told the young lady but she did not seem to care so I left with nothing. Traveled 30 minutes to get there and will not be going back.

The donuts are always fresh and delicious, come in a wide variety, and everyone who works here is always so kind and helpful.Came on Veterans Day and I and my fiancé both were given free donuts! And when we tried to tip the cashier, he even tried to refuse!The people here alone make this donut shop a pleasant experience every time. As an unofficial donut connoisseur, this is my favorite donut shop out of all the places I’ve been to! Large variety of fresh baked donuts at a great value. You can’t beat the price for the value. As inexpensive as a chain donut shop but as gourmet as a local store. I purposely go out of my way to get a 1/2 dozen every time I’m in Birmingham. COVID UPDATE: they have drive through only. Very fast and friendly service. 5/5 would recommend.

We have been coming here for years but today I feel compelled to write a review. The donuts have always been delicious. Service has always been fine - there is a young man working there now who provides outstanding service every time. I wish I had caught his name. Next time I will do that. Today they were celebrating their 7 year anniversary and had balloon animals and face-painting for the kids which my son loved. The family who owns the store was sitting at my table and they were very nice. My family loves this place. Ive never had a better donut in Birmingham.

They are always so yummy!!! Today I was surprised to know that they had a King Cake donut!!!! It was so good and I consumed it!! I havent been disappointed with any donut there it is truly a HEAVENLY experience!!!

The chocolate and specialty donuts taste great. My only issue is that they run out of specialty items too quickly. I wanted to get cinnamon rolls but they were all out. The chocolate iced donuts were still good though.

Food was good, but took us 10 minutes to get a coffee and 3 donuts once we ordered, after waiting 15 in line, donuts weren’t even warm either so not sure what the wait was with no one inside, and espresso was made incorrectly and served to someone with a dairy allergy. Slowest place I have ever been to. Not worth the 20+ minute wait for simple donuts. It’s normal to see 30 cars in the drive-thru bleeding out to the main road causing safety issues & traffic jams.They are constantly busy & can’t keep up. You would think at some point ownership would invest in more staff & processes to better take care of customer experience. The lack of of care is obvious.

This is my mom’s favorite donut shop in Bham. She was talking about it the whole time I was there for Thanksgiving so I just had to check it out before I left. I got a half dozen: maple bacon (my mom’s fav), strawberry, blueberry, caramel, and cinnamon twist (huge;counts as 2). I tried the strawberry and caramel donuts and omg SO GOOD. I see why my mom loves them.

They should change their name to Havent Any Doughnuts. Dont call them for something special because theyll disappoint you. They will lie to save their jobs and make it sound like you, the customer, are in the wrong. This business cares about Quantity over Quality.My wife talked to Ashley about making some doughnuts that said Happy Birthday. She talked to her multiple times on Friday 23 Oct 2020 to make sure everything was set for pick-up on Sunday 25 Oct 2020. Ashley told her they would be ready for pickup between 0600 and 0700 on Sunday. My wife had to ask Ashley how much the doughnuts would cost because she never told her initially. When the total amount was given my wife was told that she could pay for it at pickup on Sunday. On Sunday my wife called to let them know we were running late and would be there shortly. The boy who answered the phone said everything was good to go and they looked forward to seeing us. When we arrived the line was long so I told my wife to call and see if we could come inside to pick them up. The gentleman that answered the phone sounded confused when my wife asked about her order. He couldnt find any sign of the doughnuts. He told her that he needed to contact someone to get some answers. When he called her back he informed her that because she didnt pay in advance that her order was never made. That they tried to contact her but couldnt get her on the phone. Everything that he said was not true. She was never contacted and she was told that she could pay on Sunday. My wife was excited about getting these doughnuts all weekend. Heavenly Doughnuts built up my wifes expectations for these Doughnuts and on Sunday shattered them with lies and excuses. Not so Heavenly anymore.

I was surprised by the price. Im used to avoiding cupcake and dessert shops that sell cupcakes for $17 a piece. The price wasnt bad. The donut I had tasted like a donut. I must not be a donut connoisseur. The coffee was good. The worker was very friendly and helpful. I will probably go back whenever I think, Hey... I could use a donut. That just doesnt ever happen.

Yummy!! Love their donuts!! They are delicious. So many fun flavors. My favorite is the strawberry frosted and they actually have real strawberry pieces in it. Every time I go there, I tell myself Im going to get 1-2 and leave with 6-12. Prices are very reasonable! And they have amazing hours.

The staff is very friendly and the pastries are delicious!My first encounter with them came several years ago when they sponsored The Salvation Armys National Donut Day here in Birmingham. I served as a volunteer and we gave out donuts to veterans at the VA hospital. They also gave away free donuts for everyone at their brick and mortar shop. I love a business that gives back to the community. That alone will keep me coming back.They have a food truck thats usually at most street fair events. My friend loves and raves about the maple bacon donut. My fav is the strawberry iced donut. Delicious donuts. We went at the end of the day and there was still a decent selection and the donuts were still moist, which is more than you can say of most donut shops. Friendly service and decent prices for specialty donuts. They had discounts if you bought a dozen or half dozen.

Deliciously local donut and baked good shop! They have a large array of treats to choose from and have the lofty approval of Alton Brown. Its somewhat hidden by the dry cleaners, but there is plenty of parking as well as interior and exterior seating. Great staff, great snacks, great store.

Love it! Have always enjoyed our visits to Heavenly Donut Co! It’s an indulgent experience for us since we don’t get to make it too often so we usually get a half dozen or dozen for just my wife and I (We try to save some for the next day but sometimes it doesn’t happen). We wish we were in town other than on Saturdays cause we want to try their other flavors but, one day we will make it.
