Never write google reviews, but James was so wonderful helping us combine lines today that I wanted to give him public kudos. Very personable, knowledgeable, and thorough when helping us. Even when the store became packed, he still took the time to walk us through all of our questions and go the extra mile by putting on the screen protectors on our phones- a skill we struggle with.

Very helpful staff directed us to a covered repair, rather than get a new phone. Much appreciated! UPDATE: Now we find out the Verizon associate was wrong in telling us that our device had insurance coverage. In the store, we initiated a claim for the cracked screen, which has now been denied because of no coverage. And Assurion informs us that we cannot file a claim for the device going forward because we already said the phone was damaged (in the claim Verizon directed us to file). Verizon has, perhaps unknowingly, scr#!ed us over, leaving us with a phone that is unusable. This longtime Verizon customer is extremely frustrated.

On December 29 I went to Best Buy at 4610 Highway 280 in Birmingham Alabama to buy an iPhone 12 mini. With some miss guided information I bought a contract phone on Verizon, was told to drive to the Verizon store and they would give me a credit for my old phone. This was false. I drove back to the Best Buy store within the hour to return my contract phone and then pay cash to buy the phone out right. The Best Buy employee insured me that the contract phone will be removed from my account. There was a glitch in Best Buy’s system. About a week later I noticed the contract phone was still on my account. On January 6 I spent the day starting at 8am on the phone with Verizon and Best Buy’s customer service with no solution, except for me to drive back to Best Buy to see if they could fix the situation. I arrived at Best Buy at 6 pm, Bernard was very helpful. We spent over an hour on the phone with Verizon customer service, transferred to many departments, basically hung up on by Terrance in customer service, transferred again to tele-sales with no solution. Then Brittany from activations fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. I was given a 50 dollar gift card from Best Buy for my troubles, which I appreciate! Have been offered nothing from Verizon for my troubles! Verizon has no idea what customer service is or what it takes to achieve it. I now have a one time charge for ultraband 5g on my next bill which I did not sign up for and whenever I schedule a service call threw the app the computer voice calls me and hangs up!

Our experience at this location was the straw that broke the camels back. My husband and I had just switched from AT&T under the bring your own phone plan. Long story short, by the time we got to this location, we had already been to one other location (to initiate the transfer that didnt work but they couldnt see us again for 4 days due to no available appointments (thanks COVID), and on the phone with Verizon customer support for 8 of the past 24 hours. By the time we got to the Inverness location, my phone hadnt worked at all since we initiated the transfer, so my husband was really the one making the calls on his phone that we still had with AT&T. We walked in and was trying to explain to the representative what was going on when Kara, the manager, asked for an ID before he (the representative) could help us. I had my ID but that was irrelevant, apparently, because I wasnt the primary account holder (even though I was on the account). My husband left his ID at home. In our haste to get it fixed, he forgot his wallet. Even though I had my ID and we could verify my husbands identification with his former university account, social media, and a government website that said yes, we dont have a picture but this drivers license number matches this name; Kara would not allow the representative to help us. After 40 minutes of playing will you accept this form of identification (at one point she said we dont even accept a passport, only a drivers license (ok Karen, I mean Kara, makes sense...not), we left. So we never actually got our phones fixed and went back to AT&T during our 30 minute drive home. Well done Kara...

They were nice but they misled me and sold me something I didnt need. They also told me I was getting 15 gigs of data for $15 per month. Its $80 per month plus they only signed me up for 2 gigs. I want a hotspot and they sold me a hum. They told me I could carry it around but that was not true. It turns off when you turn off your vehicle or when the vehicle isnt present. Educate yourself before you go in here do you know what you want. Dont rely on them. The kicker is that when I returned it, they charged me a $30 restocking fee. Typical Verizon trying to grab every penny they can get. I swore them off years ago because of these kinds of shenanigans and I had a momentary lapse of judgment. Never again.

My husband and I went into Verizon looking for a Black Friday deal. Brandon Bailey assisted us and was extremely informative, helpful, and patient. He answered ALL of our questions with a wonderful attitude, and did all the math and hard work and carefully explained everything to make sure we understood our options. Show up at 6:35 the only person in there is just throwing jokes at the last couple and no one else in there to take care of customers. Why not say working hours are 10 to 6:30. I do want to go home also but when a customer walks in even 5 minutes before closing time I make sure at least he is aknowledged and properly taken care of. Why should I even bother bringing my family phone lines when they are as AT&T or even worse than their customer service. As I am filling this out they are still not even halfway noticing I am here. Thanks guys nice way to start of a potential customer.

Be careful when you purchase a phone from this store. Lots of double talk. Make sure you have them walk you through every step of what you are paying for. Beware of not discussed fees. This is my second issue with them. Shame on me. Not again. Once you purchase there is no understanding on their part and they will not make it right.

My husband and I entered the store to look at prepaid phones. After approximately 10 minutes, the manager took my name for the first available rep. We waited another 10 for a rep. After expressing that I wanted to look at their prepaid phones, the rep went in the back to get them. He wouldnt have had to do this if the phones had been on display. They had two phones on display which disappointed me first. Second, the rep set the phones in front me with no cost information or specifications on the phones. I had to ask about pricing and switching from post paid (contract) to prepaid and how it worked. He then proceeded to tell me to call Verizon and inquire myself. I thought this was odd. I thought it was their job to provide assistance. I called and was provided excellent customer service over the phone. While I was trying to converse with the person on the phone, the music in the store was very loud, making it difficult to hear. The rep walked away to help another customer. Once I received answers to my questions, another rep was complaining out loud about a customer asking for the music to be turned down. Once the customer left, he stated that now he was gone, he could turn the music up again. This was very annoying as this is a place of business, not a music venue. As I was on hold with Verizon, I asked my rep for the Manager. Once I got off the phone, I left very annoyed and dissatisfied. The Manager never came out, two of the reps were very rude and unprofessional. I guess since I was interested in a prepaid phone, I didnt warrant good customer service. I will never step foot in this store again!

I went this past Sunday to see if there was any hope for my old phone (nope) and had a rude employee. I walked in and before I said what was going on she said I would probably have to get a new phone. When she told me I should trade in my other one, she mumbled that I could just drop it in the bag and take it to UPS as she was shopping for backpacks on her phone. I asked if I had to do anything to my phone before sending it in and she said yes but it would be on the package- which she covered up with the shipping label :) maybe every will work out alright but who knows, I can only see the instructions in Español.

Came here with my family (husband, a 5yo & 2yo) back in June. My husband already new he would be able to get what he was looking for, but my situation was way trickier. I had purchased my iPhone in Portugal and called to see if my IMEI # was on the list to be able to use with versions service and sadly was told no. GINA IS CLUTCH!!! she popped her SIM card in to check sent a message and it was sent/received. When she looked up the IMEI # it wasn’t on the list BUT she informed me that a “dummy” IMEI may be possible (otherwise I would have to settle for a competitor for my service which j really wanted to avoid). IT WORKED!!!! She got me all set up and I was BEYOND happy. Hands-down the worst service I have ever experienced in a retail store!!! Be aware that even though they take your name when you arrive, Verizons process is to help customers in any order the Verizon Rep chooses. It does not matter if you and others have been waiting in the store for sometime, they can, and they did today, help the next customer that walks in the door. This is what Tamarious, the store manager, told me when I asked why she helped a customer that had just entered the store instead of the others that had been waiting.

Really screwed my accounts up. Took them 3 months to fix the issue, but only after I went there and forced the manager to fix it and print me a receipt and proof. They sold me 2 Hum devices that were dead right out of the box. So, I gave them back, but they forgot to remove them from my account. The only proof I had was my receipt and one of the employees who witnessed me bring them back. Im glad it was resolved.

Went in to get some help and this tall guy grabbed my phone told him it was just the settings kept playing with it kept talking to another guy played on his iPad another guy comes in has problems with his sons phone he grabs the dudes phone so hes got my phone and his phone helping him not doing mine he says that he has to order me a new phone I go no thank you he tells the other guy that he needs to order a new phone I take my phone up to Gardendale and we fix it through the settings like I was trying to do in the first place but that guy just wanted to make an insurance claim One customer at a time please

If u could give them less stars i would. I see on here someone else had a cracked phone from this place. I went there today because my phone is cracking and they told me it was my fault and I was lying. That is exactly what the guy said. Then he waived his hand in my face and said I could call insurance but I could leave cause be wasnt going to help me. Obviously this store mishandles phones and then tries to get out of it. I would suggest not purchasing anything from these guys. The guy said call samsung its not our problem.They also sold me a phone cover for my samsung 8 and came off a few weeks later then refused me a refund.I have never seen a place operate with such tackiness as this place. Im ashamed I ever went here. And I spend 100s of dollars with Verizon and have absolutely no reason to lie about my phone.

New SIM card was only giving 3G in my IPhone . Swapped the card out with wife’s SIM from her Android and got LTE. Went in twice, got the card swapped and still only 3G. They sent us to Apple, who said it was a SIM issue. Called tech support who also said it was a SIM issue. Went to a different Verizon store and the first SIM they put in got LTE. Will not be returning to this location. Employees did bare minimum and helped multiple customers at once instead of giving full attention to the issue.

In short, the Store Manager Kaleb and Assist Store Manager Adrienne have no professionalism, I feel completely discriminated against as a minority, and I regret switching my family over to Verizon Wireless.When I ported my family over to Verizon in January I thought I was making a great decision but I have since regretted the entire decision. I was sold unnecessary products, Hum devices to be exact that I did not ask for. I was told that they were part of a promotion with the phones, never once was I told that each device had a $40 activation, a two year service plan, and $10 a month fee, I was given 5. I contacted customer support and they explained that I needed to go back to the original location I received the products from and speak with a manager because they were the only one who could fix it. I went to the store on March 7, to talk with a manager and the Store Manager Kaleb was there but would not come and speak with me because he was conducting interviews. I was told by the Associate Brandon the other manger would be in at 12:30pm if I wanted to wait and speak with her. I pointed out to the associate that it was already after 12:30pm. The associate then found out that the Assistant Store Manager Adrienne would be late but I could wait to speak with her. I waited for almost two hours and still no Assistant Manager or Store Manager. Another associated came from the back and explained to the Associate Brandon that the Store Manager Kaleb said to go ahead and return the Hums. The associates went back and forth about the fact that only a manager could return them. I had waited a great deal of time at this point so I explained that I would come back the next day. The associate explained that both managers would be there the following morning because they were having a store meeting. I arrived at the store following morning March 8 (which is also by birthday) at 10:00am when they opened. I spoke with the Assistant Store Manager Adrienne and explained the issued with the Hums, and issues I had about how the lines were split up, the promotions on the phones, and some accessories that were charged to my bill. Adrienne became defensive when I explained that there was no information given about the Hums and the fees. Adrienne went to the back and discussed the issue with the original Associate Joseph who had assisted me back in January. Joseph came out, and explained that he was sorry about any mix up and that he was going to do everything in his power to straighten it out. I did not leave Verizon Wireless until after 4:00pm that evening. The issue was not resolved, the associate kept explaining that he need assistant a manager never came over. The Assistant Manager Adrienne never came back over and spoke with me after initially going to get Joseph that morning at 10:00am when I came in. While being on hold on the phone Joseph had another customer come in and he started handling their account while support on the phone was working some things out on my account. Between 3:00-3:30pm The Store Manager Kaleb came in and started work on the salesfloor. He immediately went over and started assisting Josephs other customer who was white. I had been there since 10:00am that morning and my issued still was not resolved while the other customer has only been there about 45mins. Over all I left the store with the Hum issue unresolved, a manager never came and tried to assist, and I felt discriminated against as minority. If I could afford to switch my family back or to another cell phone provider I would. My first two bills with the company have total almost $1200.00 and continue to go up each time I have tried to get this issue resolved.

I ordered new phones from Verizons Win Back Dept..I elected to pick them up at the Verizon store on Hwy 280 instead of waiting for them to be shipped to my home. Wow I should have waited. The staff in this Verizon Wireless company store are some of the most unprofessional people Ive ever dealt with. I arrived on a weekday when they were not busy in the least. There were 4 sales persons sitting down playing with their phones. At first they all wanted to help, but as soon as they found out I was only picking up phones, all but one quickly returned to playing with their phones. I had been told that I could pick up the phones. However I was told that my wife would have to come in because her name is on the account so we can take advantage of a corporate discount that her employer offers. But I am the account administrator, and in fact I ordered the new equipment and set up the in store pickup. The lady I dealt with when i purchased the new phones confined that I was the administrator and authorised to make purchases and pick up those purchases.After I brought my wife from her work to the store, we asked which phone was which ? The woman who was waiting on us said it didnt matter, they were the same. I questioned her about which sim card was for my phone number. She again stated it did not matter.Well after downloading ALL my data into the first phone I picked I can tell you without reservation SHE IS WRONG.My wife and I both believe they had us running around and giving us bad information as punishment for not buying the phones from them( the local company Verizon store).I would not recommend this location at all.Even to my worse enemy !!!!

Absolutely pathetic service. We stood around for 15 minutes watching 3 people walking around doing nothing at all, not helping a customer in any way. The system that Verizon uses is a waste of time and downright disgusting. One FREE employee sits and takes appointments as you come in and you have to wait for everyone else to be done, even if you just want to buy a charger that would take 30 seconds. The employees here are ghetto, lazy, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional. When Im watching someone sit there on their phone and play games while customers stand around and wait, its just unacceptable.

I was trying to compare phonesto decide which new phone to get. I got talked into the new Google Pixel 2. The sales rep lied and said it was the same as the Samsung with a better camera. After I signed the agreement, I noticed there is not a headphone jack. I pointed it out and he said well for $30-40 you can return it. I said but you told me it was the same. He wasnt willing to do anything to help the situation. I love Verizon but not this store.

Staff was on their Bluetooth head sets so it was hard to know if they were attending to you or their phone call. One customer got so upset that he asked the sales person if he was going to talk to the phone or talk to the customer. I decided to walk out before a fight broke out! Verizon needs to have a policy against such behavior. Or, if they already have such a policy, they need to enforce it.

Horrible service. I was in there and they had several customers upset with the staff so I just gave benefit of the day. I purchased a new phone and noticed that night there was a Crack in phone. Called in morning they told me to bring in and would replace. Went in for replacement and again was told wait and we will swap out for you. Then the manager came up and talked to a lady and then had lady come talk to me and tell me well we are not going to help you the manager didnt even come tell me himself had someone else tell me. Says we checked and went over the phone before which we didnt. I have been with Verizon for about 10 years now and this store once they got my money they have the worse customer service their is. I would go right down the road to one at summit and get better service.

I do not reccommend anyone go to this location, the reps are not educated in verizon promotions. We were given a promotion on 2 phones and sounded great so we signed on the dotted line ..3 months later ..we get our bill and no promotion applied..called verizon and told there was no such promotion ..contacted the rep and she said would fix it ..again 2 months later no change and the rep will not even respond to our calls now ...so stuck with a full price plan ..and verizon will not fix it even tho the rep openly said she sold us that promotion ...

Cons: representative wasnt willing to help me out with getting a new phone as mine was damaged. Didnt look to see if there were any options for me.Went later to the Trussville store and was in and out of there, with my new phone, in about 10 minutes.Pros: uggh the store is big....
