I just got my thermostat replaced on 2010 mini cooper and they did great job. But when I opened my hood to check the engine bay, they have broke the battery cover, one of the connection for the camshaft was not put all the way in and the level of coolant was below the minimum line, hope they have finished the job nicely. Also, I wish the battery cover can be fixed which was broken by the service guy

My daughter and I were traveling from South Carolina to Arkansas when we ruined a rim and tire on the interstate about 45 minutes from Birmingham. The local places werent able to get us a tire or a rim. Service team of Dion and Chris went above and beyond the call of duty. Dion worked with me on the phone from 0800AM to 6pm. They sent a rim repair guy to check out our rim...when we determined it couldnt be repaired, they problem solved and found me a rim and tire that not only fit my car, but matched the other rims perfectly. They helped us get back on the road that night. Cant say enough good things about Chris, Dion and the Mini of Birmingham crew.

I had a great time at MINI of Birmingham! Valerie Wallace was patient with me as I tried to remember how to operate a stick shift. She and I laughed at my minor mistakes, and I had a ball! She helped me get into the car I wanted, and she didnt pressure me to look at something else. I loved the experience of working with other women. Both my salesperson and my finance guy were women. I say guy because I am always told to see our finance guy. This experience was a complete joy, and as you can see from my picture, I am totally stoked to have my new ride. I am blessed by God!! Mini of Birmingham has the worse customer service for purchasing a car and for getting your car serviced. They are not the only place that can service your Mini Cooper. Bought a Mini that I designed online as a surprise for my wifes birthday—long distance—which means that there were lots of moving parts that had to be dealt with in a manner that wasnt necessarily convenient for the staff. They went above and beyond at every turn and I am eternally grateful. The dealership also gave me what I consider a very fair trade-in value for my wifes old car. Would highly recommend doing business with these folks! They value you as a customer.

Birmingham BMW / MINI of Birmingham supposedly a luxury car dealership. Some of the cars on display in the showroom ranged $74,000 to $126,000. Ask for bottle of water and they say they dont have drinks. By no means was the used car I purchased anywhere near $100,000, but to me you treat each customer the same. I asked that my car be detailed. It had a piece of candy melted in a cup holder and in the rear pocket a nasty ear wax covered Q-tip and a rusty razor blade by the door of the passenger seat. Was told that they would take care. Well they didnt. The front cup holder had a divider after detail it no longer had it. Now cups cant be placed there. The salesperson Valerie was fantastic and so was the finance manager.

We ordered a new Mini and were kept up to date on its details and date of arrival. When we went to pick it up everything was exactly as had been described. Our sales person was there waiting for us and went through a comprehensive introduction to the car. It was a great experience and good fun. Love my new little 2-door Mini.

Getting service is not such a chore when there is a nice bright lobby to wait, with large tv screen, magazines, and comfortable chairs. They have complementary coffee, water, and snacks...even a hydration station and nice welcome for my dog! Waiting lobby is conveniently arranged between service center and showroom; has fun Mini swag / gear like shirts and wheels. Large, easy access restrooms near waiting area. Pleasant to stroll around car lot dreaming of a new Mini while you wait too. Of course I wish service prices were lower. But I cant complain, my 2009 6-speed Mini Cooper Clubman is still going strong. And Dion Belcher is great, he is like an expert service manager and friendly host in one--treats you right, and lets you know whats going on with your car start to finish.

I have purchased 4 cars from this dealership.The first 2 went perfect. But the salesperson I used left and the last two purchases, both within the last year, were horrible.The dealership only had one key to each vehicle. They promised they would order additional keys but never followed up. After repeated calls, they now say I will have to purchase an extra fob for nearly $400 each.The collection of dealers have condensed their finance department and don’t seem to know much about finance. They don’t follow up on calls, have a very limited selection and pay no attention to personal requests. And after you purchase a vehicle, they’re done. The salespeople have absolutely no desire to commit to the things they said they’d do.The service department is very good, if you are inclined to paying dealer prices for small repairs, but other than that, you get better service and knowledge if you use an online car shopping service.The one star is because I like minis

Valerie was awesome from first contact to delivery. Buying a vehicle out of state can be tricky, but Valerie made the process seamless. When we arrived after a 6 hour drive with our two dogs, she invited us to bring our fur babies inside. She even spent quite a bit of time teaching us the electronics after we took delivery. Came for a servicing on a Thursday morning. It was a fuss free and fast experience, and I liked that I could make an appointment online. There were free refreshments provided, and there is also an attached cafe for some heartier food if youre feeling like it. (This part is not free) I think the experience could have been slightly improved if I had gotten a quick run through of what was done during the maintenance, in addition to receiving the receipt for it.

Walked in and someone acknowledged me after a moment. Had a good salesperson patiently work with what car I wanted. (Went back and forth from Sedan to SUV and back to Sedan) Even the Concierge was amazingly patient while training me on the new suite of technology in the sedan I selected before I left. Not important but I left the Mercedes dealership right before stopping by here bc I walked around for 30 minutes without any acknowledgement. Too bad for them, I was determined to purchase a car that day!

Although I did not ultimately get a new mini from her, the time and effort from her means that when I am ready to get a new mini, she will be my first call. Fantastic Customer Service!! There isnt a MINI dealer in our area and we are situated between Birmingham and Nashville. We chose Birmingham and will be back to this dealership for all of our routine service on our MINI. The service manager, Dion, is great to work with. They got our car in and out and really took care of us. They have a great waiting area and also a cafe inside the dealership in case you get a little hungry while youre waiting. Weve owned many cars from BMW to Mercedes and this MINI dealership atmosphere and customer service was better than any weve had!

Well, after keeping my car for 2 full weeks promising to make it look brand new, we found that they left a ding and scratches on the drivers side doors. That was one thing we specifically asked to be fixed and they guaranteed numerous times that it would be, but it was not touched. There was also some kind of whitish residue on the dash, like some kind of cleaner. We asked that it be detailed. They cleaned the passenger side, but not the drivers side. We distinctly get the feeling that as used car buyers, we were not worth their time or effort. We were never told it would take 2 weeks for them to only somewhat fix/clean the car. No one bothered to keep us updated during this time period. Everytime we called to check on it, they couldnt even give an estimate on how much longer it was going to take. This is not what I would expect AT ALL from a luxury car dealership. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

I live in Memphis but ended up buying a Mini from Birmingham because they had the exact model I wanted. It was a very pleasant experience although I never met any of their agents. They have the most informative website among all the dealerships in my area (Memphis, Nashville, Little Rock and St. Louis) with very detailed features and pictures (>20/car on average) of every vehicle in their inventory. The online live chat was also very responsive every time I had a question. The agent I worked with (Valerie) was very kind and patient, always giving me options but never pressing me on making a purchase. At the end they hired two retired gentlemen to drive the car to me and absorbed half of the cost. They got themselves a very happy customer here :)

The people in the service center are great. They do great work. And do it quickly. I would give them 5 stars. But.... and this is Not an exaggeration, I have Never gotten anyone when calling. And I have called maybe 8-10 times. Trying to get a price or service. I always get the phone circle. First it rings... then it puts me back to the choose 1 for service. Then it rings more. And then they tell me to leave a message. Both times I have brought my Clubman in, I have just dropped on. I have never had the oil changed there. Because I can not get anyone. I will give them 5 stars if this is ever resolved.

My tire had a screw in it. I brought it into Mini on a Thursday and they took it right away to check it out. I waited only briefly before they told me it would be Monday before the tire was in. I was given a loaner vehicle to drive - same kind as my current car, so that was very nice. The tire was delayed, but I picked up my repaired Countryman on Tuesday. Picking it up and paying took 15 mins max. My car was washed and everything was great. Dion at Mini is amazing and I always appreciate the great customer service.

I have purchased 10 cars in my life so far - half used and half new. Dealing with Mini and BMW of Birmingham is tied for #1 best experience purchasing a car. I live in Atlanta and traveling to find a car can add challenges. Our sales person, Valerie, treated us as if we were VIPs. The car was ready for us and sitting cool in the shade when we arrived 1 hour later than expected. Todd our online sales consultant communicated really well with us in the lead up to our visit and came over to shake our hand when we got there. We had a few concerns about the car we were considering and Valerie never got defensive, even agreed on a few things, and allowed us to have our own opinion. I would leave my kids with her :)! Negotiations were kept simple and fair. I have to say that by any standard, the price they offered out of the gate was more than fair already and they worked with us to get the deal just like we wanted it. Although we had a little wait to get back to financing, that was also a fantastic experience once we got going. I am at a loss as to how things could have gone better. They even made sure we had good weather in Alabama in July - 84 degrees and clear! I told you they are awesome! I would drive back. to Bham to work with them on a future purchase. What more can you say.

First, let me say (like most people that write reviews) that I rarely write reviews. The experience either needs to be stellar or atrocious to prompt me sitting in front of a computer to write. And yet, here I am.With that preface, let me say that Ive had a terrible experience with my Mini and this dealership. The car I was sold was an absolute lemon -- Clubman S All4. I have spent almost $4,000 of my own money in servicing this vehicle in less than two years. Prior to this vehicle I owned a Mercedes, and prior to that a Volvo. With those cars I had zero issues. Zero. And yet Ive found myself in the Mini Service center almost every 2-3 months for one issue or another. Each time being told by the service center that the things wrong with the car were wear issues and are not covered by warranty. Its incomprehensible to me that a car of this quality could have wear issues after being driven only 20,000 miles.I think spending this money would be easier to swallow if the service department showed the smallest amount of empathy. My last visit to the dealership (8/28/2019), one service employee said to me, I dont know what to tell you, man. Verbatim. No hyperbole or exaggeration.I would caution you against Mini in general and this dealership in particular. My plan is to get rid of this car and not look back. I, for one, am soured on Mini indefinitely.

Outstanding service on our 2009 Mini Cooper Convertible. We live about 60 miles from the closest Mini Service/Dealership. I scheduled my service to coincide with a business trip from the Birmingham Airport. When I arrived at the Mini Dealership for my scheduled service, I was offered a ride to the airport which I gladly accepted. Upon my return to the Birmingham Airport 3 days later my Mini Cooper was delivered to me at the Terminal where I promptly drove home. Mini of Birmingham could not made my experience any better and I will definitely be a repeat customer. And by the way, the service department was able to fix the convertible top at a lot less than I expected. Thank you Mini of Birmingham!

I love my Mini and I love Mini of Birmingham. I just leased my second mini. Valerie, our sales associate, went out of her way to find me the car I wanted. After she did a lot of research we found the perfect car on the lot in the color I wanted with the features I wanted and ones I didnt know I wanted until I test drove one vehicle. Example: I didnt think I wanted the turbo until I drove it. Love the extra power. During the three years I leased my first mini all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The car was serviced quickly and thoroughly. Took just long enough for me to buy something in the gift shop or have something to eat in the café. Wonderful experience, wonderful staff.

1. after purchasing the vehicle i went to drive it off the lot and the battery was bad. BMW replaced it.2. The 2nd day after purchasing this vehicle my maintenance light came on stating i needed oil change and tire rotation. This let me know that the vehicle did not go through their service department and was not checked out as i was instructed that it had been.3. BMW told me they would mail me the 2 other spare keys to the vehicle but I DID NOT RECEIVE any spare keys. Probably because they asked me to change my online review and i didn’t.4. They offered me a 9 percent interest because i didnt have any “substantial” high figures on my credit report. my credit score is 750. I declined paying that high interest and they “suddenly” for an interest rate of 7 percent.I felt i was treated like a second rate citizen bc i appeared to not be “wealthy”. So i consented to the 7% interest and after a week decided to pay off the vehicle by taking money out of my trust fund account. We should not judge by appearance because you will not know all the facts about a person’s character or finances. I still have not received my spare keys.

This was one of the best customer service experience I have ever had. Valerie Wallace helped me decide on which Mini to get. I looked at a few different cars and made us spend half the day out in the summer heat and she was so kind and helpful through all of it. She was awesome, super sweet, and just cool. I decided to lease and Cy in financial was just as kind and helpful as she was. Everyone was very concerned about me getting what I want and making sure I knew everything about not only the car I was getting, but the financial terms as well. Awesome, awesome place!
