I bought my truck from this place 2017 cascadia with dd13. The truck have been doing amazing. I was nervous on buying the truck because it was my first time. Rick the salesman gave me all the information on the truck. Very honest guy Thank you Rick i will be coming back to buy a brand new truck next time!!!
Deal with this business on a regular basis, may be backed up sometimes but good thumbs up. Also a good thumbs up for Tim on parts counter, wonderful customer service.
I took my Sister here to pick up and order for her truck. She’s a Truck Driver and apparently she had ordered something from here. The place is surrounded with new big pretty trucks and some used trucks! They also have a workshop area and the front office area for pickup. It’s clean and atmosphere is nice. The staff is friendly. HAPPY SHOPPING!
Do not even try to purchase new trucks from them. Full of tricks and lies. We understand you have bad apples here and there but you cant allow one salesman to disrupt your operation. Even so you should be able to rectify and make it right. You don’t have to worry about this salesman Britt that lied without blinking just to get my attention. But you have to watch on GM Chris that tolerates all this shams happening on his watch.Such a bad experience. We will go threw with the fraud. Since we have no options. But its so sad to see how people make money these days. On lies and empty promises.Word of advice. Find a good dealership. And when you do, stick with them even if you have to wait for the equipment. Its worth all the money in the world. This place is a total joke and will not stick around long enough to understand that.
Walked in, they had what I needed, I never had a bad visit yet with any Freightliner dealership.
We just stopped here due to an engine light in our RV. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The front of the shop was clean and everyone was very helpful. Adrian was the tech that checked out our engine and went above and beyond to explain everything to us. I would highly recommend!
Can’t get anyone on phone. When you do get somebody (by the grace of God), good luck getting the right part regardless if you have P#.
Great team they have there. They waited for me even though they were technically closed. Very knowledgeable folks.
They had me there all day telling me that I would be taken care of in a few hours and by closing time they finally told me that they were looking at the wrong truck and my parts were not going to be in till tomorrow. If they had were for another truck from the same company but different unit number. Now Im stuck another day waiting to get my truck fixed.
I waited 5 hours and they never even worked on my truck. They had the opportunity to do it but said they never got the okay from my company to make changes to the truck. They will not communicate with you. They will take your truck snd leave you to freeze in the lounge.
This review is for an employee of Birmingham Freightliner. This employee name is Jeff. Jeff went above and beyond his call of duty when I took my truck to Birmingham Freightliner. Jeff has a million dollar personality. He was very knowledgeable and his gave me adequate information. The day I came into Birmingham Freightliner it was Jeff first day and I didnt experience any problems. Jeff is a person you want working at your company. Jeff customer service was exceptional.Sincerely,Lonnie Maddox
One of the best dealers in the area to conduct business with. Jeremy Hyde in the parts department takes great care of his customers and keeps us coming back.
Birmingham Freightliner was very amazing with communicating with us and allowing us to know what the next step would be! They made sure that our tractor was top of the list to be worked on! They ensured that we would be able to have our drivers in and out the exact same week! Thank you Kathleen and your team for helping us getting Big 8 Transportation in and out!
I give 5 stars only for their quick unloading. Some of the lumper service Southeast Unloading) crew members I have interacted with are rude and lack understanding of their role. Their rigid and archaic payment method is is too inconvenient and not in keeping with the time (21st century). Uber Freight uses Comcheck express codes to pay lumpers. Other lumper services in many other facilities have set up with electronic comcheck payments that needs providing only an express code. This unloading service, however, requires the carrier to bring a physical comecheck for payment and they dont always have them available on their file to facilitate. Comchecks are to find anywhere other than Comedata. You can order them only if you have a comedata account for their comdata card. The truckr stops I cecked with dont have tge checks anymore since they use the electronic system in place. The lumper service crew act as if they are doing you a favor, not doing business. They lack basic decency and work manners matching their duty. If they cant provide the comchecks they ask the driver to bring, they should atleast accept credit card payments, instead of only cash.
Had a great experience working with jeff the night service man he has helped me get my truck in and out of the shop in a timely manner if there was any problems he would communicate what the problems was and also he had just a great attitude and willingness to help no matter the situation so thanks jeff in the night service department and the guys in the shop I will see you down the road. 👍👍
Easy to deal with. Truck broke down and got towed to Freightliner. The people were nice and knowledgeable. The service manager Kathleen was great. Truck was down for days and she kept me updated every step of the way til I got my rig back. She even booked my room and had the shuttle pick me up. Will recommend to all my buddies!
Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Timothy was awesome in parts department. Nice visit. Very professional. Highly recommend.
Just brought a truck today and the service was great !!! My salesman Matt L. Made this process very smooth for me and simple as possible . I was handled with care, respect and the environment was very welcoming.I would personally recommended Matt he will answer all your questions and get you on the road .
Wouldnt recommend to work for them. They completely lie when it comes to the pay they offer. Says they offer 30$ to 35$ an hour with certifications, but when you show them your certificates they require for the job they say you need more and offer you 20$ an hour. Waste of trip & time. False information is not professional.*** updateThey called to tell me it would be in my best interest to take this review down & threatened to call my current employer to let them know I was looking for another job. After hanging up they continued to call back to back. Had to block them. Harassment is also not professional.
Dont go here if you can! My truck derated I sat here 4 days they tell me truck fixed I owe $464.00 I pay and make it 9 miles short of Jackson Mississippi before I have to get a tow truck for same issue. They knew they didnt fix my truck they reset the computer and sent me down the road Empire in Jackson did the same thing except they charged me $5400.00 and now Im brokedown in Texas on a backroad about to lose everything. These people do this all the time dont let it happen to you I wish I was warned
I had a nice experience with the guys and gals here! Kathleen at the front desk was very nice and concerned about my issues. Thanks for taking care of my truck.
Today was a wonderful experience for me I went to Birmingham freightliner body shop for a three axle alignment and to replace a brake chamber and I was surprised on their work and how fast they had gotten me in and out . They the type of people that go above and beyond for they customers and I recommend anybody that’s in the area or that live in Birmingham to go there if you’re looking to get work done and can’t find anyone to get the job done thumbs up for me 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Clean establishment nice size shop are you outgoing and courteous people two thumbs up
On my purchase for my freightliner.... I will start out by saying Thank You to my sales agent Matt HE WAS GREAT!!! He was there for me from start to finish.. He made my buying process quick and easy... Birmingham Freightliner as a whole was just awesome.. Thanks
Well, not enough stars for Daniel, Bryan and the whole body shop crew. Not only did they take care of my truck, they went above and beyond to take care of me. Best Freightliner shop Ive ever dealt with over my past 11yrs of driving. I highly recommend for any body shop needs. Bryan, Daniel again, you know what you did, and Im grateful. Thank you.
I picked up my newest truck.Its a Freightliner,duh
I went there looking for spare truck. Didnt have much for sale.
Nice people but that’s it...... Owner operators do not bring your truck here.... There is no rush to get your back on the road .... they’re overbooked they can’t handle what they have Stay away ... and the only thing they’re gonna say is I’m sorry that doesn’t pay the bills ... ........
AWESOME customer service. I was picking up my company truck for the first time and noticed a buzzer going off. Birmingham Freightliner was able to fix the issue the same day and replace a recalled part as well. Thanks to Kathleen, Jenna (she was fairly new, but amazing) and PJ, I’m safely on the road!
Quick, friendly service, was looking to get info on purchasing a truck & I was able to get everything I needed to know, will definitely be back to make my purchase once Im ready!
Really small. Truck drivers make sure you drop your trailer at the pilot up the road because there isnt ANY PARKING FOR TRAILERS.
If you have other options, don’t come here. It’s too slow. They don’t think about other people’s time. They seem to live in a snail world. If there is a place to complain, I will throw them away. Work efficiency
Recently had to have my rear end replaced on cascadia 2015. They did get me done in about 7 days. Due to waiting on parts to come in The volume of trucks that comes thru this location is insane so I was grateful they were able to take care of me. Just make sure you keep checking on them and if you have to you can email the customer service and they were very responsive to find out what was going on with my truck.
I bought a used Tiffin RV with a Freightliner Chassis and needed to get basic maintenance to make aftermarket service agreement valid on my 2010 Rear Engine Diesel. Also needed to get a faulty warning light and warning alarm repaired that had been intermittently giving trouble since I purchased from a private individual.I was so happy with the service and getting my Coach back up to speed. Linda and Jenna the service advisors kept me apprised of the progress with personal phone calls. One that the maintenance was done and another that the faulty light bar was ordered and being installed. Yet another when the test drive was completed. I am a worrier and having to leave my coach (a rolling condo) caused anxiety but I felt it was in good hands and felt at ease leaving it for the repair. I would highly recommend them for any RV owners that needs service or repair on a Freightliner Chassis Motorhome.
Every time we get our trucks in for repairs on the road is like stepping into the unknown. Needless to say, more often than not the experience is painful. This place however did the diagnostics and repairs very quick and the price we paid was incredibly low. Would not hesitate to take our trucks for service to them. Chris Kelley is extremely professional and pleasant to deal it. I was able to reach him every single time i called and was given updates on everything that is going on with our truck. Thank you guys
Always helpful, almost always have the parts I need, they do a great job of working with me and getting my companies needs met in a timely manner. Super good people. However, they apparently will not work with my companies national account pricing so this causes them to lose a star.Things can occasionally get backed up but this is just standard for dealerships.Sometimes the service department is a bit more expensive than it really should be so it will lose a star for that as well.
Not impressed at all. Had truck 3 months and is still not ready
Thanks to Matt and his colleagues, they have contacted my company, the DMV officials, and the title company, they also have undertaken all the necessary communication, so I was able to complete the purchase and drive the wonderful truck. They are awesome.
Got truck fixed runs great.
Good parts guys very nice and help you real good and fast
Nice place took truck for neighbor to get fixed
This place was welcoming.
BUYER BEWARE!!! Trust me dont do it. But if you do it wont be long before you go writing a essay about them and giving out 1 stars. Really wish I could give them 0 stars because thats what they deserve. Your truck will sit at any of their shops for days or weeks. BEWARE!!!
Easy in easy out. very clean place.
Decent. Nice drivers lounge upstairs. Must come during business hours for work. No drop area during off hours. Kinda dumb but whatever. Very small trailer drop area mostly filled with work in progress so can’t actually be used for what it’s for. Again sucks but what can you do.
So far people have been really kind. They are super busy though so I hope I get fixed up quickly.
Over a week there, some off the saftey stuff on my display doesnt work anymore, service desk let you stand there like you dont exist, no space to drop a trailer, no after hour pick up. I think that should cover it! Clownshow, disappointing! I believe is the word to discribe it best
Sent the wrong part to the shop where my husbands truck was broke down, so now he cant sleep in his truck and is paying for a hotel because of their inability to actually match the correct parts up to the correct model. Now he sits and waits, as does the shop, because of Freightliners ineptitude. Bad business. They should be paying my husband and the shop for their mistake.
I made a delivery of vegetables to this location. Someone came out to my truck to help me check in. It was a fast unload.
Always helpful and professional. My go to store out on the road.
Great place
Took the a hole week to put in a radiator on my 2017 frieghtliner and they had the part. Then when I go to pick up the truck they had lost my keys. I waited a hour and a half 😩 they never found it instead used a box of spare keys and found one that fit my truck poor service for sure.
Here is busy. My truck is something wrong with def.I checked in Friday noon. They inspected it on Monday afternoon. And now i am still waiting on Tuesday.Owner operators do not bring your truck here.... There is no rush to get your back on the Road,if u have a choice
The process of purchasing my truck was quick and simple. My salesperson, Patton, made me feel at home.
Is nice peoples
Personal interaction at its best!
Got me in and out very nice people
If I could give them negative stars, I would. Nothing but a bunch of scam artists that claim to fix things but dont. Would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Quite definitely the worst experience Ive ever had in 22 years/ 4 Freightliner trucks/ 1.2 million miles... Owner, please contact me!!!
Always have had good experiences here.
The service has always been great. They take care of our fleet with no issues.
From the moment we gave Chris Reed at Freightliner Birmingham a call, we knew wed made the right decision. Chris and the rest of the team consist of the most trusted, honest and forthright salesmen youll meet in the industry. From start to finish, they made sure we got what we were specifically asking for - nothing less, and much, much more. We were looking to buy a used truck for our small business based in North Carolina and after driving down to Birmingham (on Christmas Eve) and discovering there was a leak in the truck, Chris assured us that his shop would cover 100% of the cost it would take to fix it back home. He followed up with us very consistently and earnestly throughout the repair process until he knew we were satisfied. Chris and Freightliner Birmingham epitomize customer service and you wont find a better sales team to work with.
Dam good Service. Night shift got me in and out with an hour or 2. I will deathly come back again. 3/3/20
Truck lounge really great!
Super nice guys! If you need parts, see Steve (nights) or Tim (days). If you need a good mechanic see Josh or Nathan. When I have to come pick up parts, they always have me ready and they help me load up and Im in and out.
I took my truck for diagnostics and they charge me 1000 and never tell me what is wrong with my truck and they mess my starter, I will not recommend
I have to say all the people that I interacted with were as nice as they could possibly be but as far as the service they didnt fix the problem that brought me there in the first place. Thats about as much detail as I need to give other than if I ever have a problem with a FreightLiner again anywhere in the Birmingham, AL. area I wont be back for the service department but thats just me.
I was here for a repair, and the people were very courteous. The part I needed was not in stock, and the service department went way out and beyond to get the part elsewhere. The repair was made very quick . I also advised them of a high value load that I needed secured and it was looked after as well.Great job to Craig and the service department!
I really don’t know what to say. I should have called the manager as soon as I noticed the problem. But I hate getting people in trouble at their workplace. So here’s what I encountered. My truck had been there for 2 weeks. So my job just gave me a different truck to pick up. So I had to stop here and get my stuff out of this truck. I get to Mississippi to the other truck and start unpacking and making my bed is usually the first thing I do so when I get tired I’ll be able to go to bed without having to do it after I’m already tired and just want to lay down. That’s when I noticed something on my bed sheets that was not there before. It was white and dried and smeared on the sheets. Then I grab my pillows and they have what appears to be tire marks across both of them. Well I know I didn’t run over my own pillows. I’m like WTH. Why would somebody do this. They whacked off on my sheets and ran over my pillows. Never have I encountered anything like this. Very immature person. You know their young. Only young and dumb people do things like this. And most likely on the night shift when office management is not there. This person apparently needs physiological help. They are not quit working with a full deck. Other than that its a Freightliners. Your truck will be there at least a week more like 2 usually. Nice and clean facilities. Office personnel are nice and helpful.
So pleased with the service and great repair. Brad, Todd, Chris, David, Ethan, Mike and so many more diagnosed the problem and went above and beyond to get my RV repaired. Yes, it took a few days, but once complete it is driving like a dream. Thanks to everyone!
Charged $1000 to replace a $179 DPF line, took all day, then said it was not safe to drive, they needed to keep it and work on it more the next day.Nothing was wrong with it. I have been driving it two months since.
The absolute worse place ever! Good luck getting your truck back in a timely manor! Drop it off the Friday before leaving on a week long vacation and here we are on week 3 with no truck still and have heard a different story from every person we have spoke with. Same thing happened last year, but wanted to give them another chance and hoping it was just a fluke last time. From now on, I will make the drive to the freightliner in Georgia even though I reside in Birmingham. Edited to add that after having the truck that long..picked it up Monday and the check engine light is now on AGAIN! So truck has to go back in the shop! Of course truck will go in the shop elsewhere! Never bringing the truck back here!
Extremely poor customer skills. Counter personnel on service counter have poor attitudes.
Couldnt believe the prices on the airbags... Everywhere else they were 185.00 bucks a piece I got 2 here for 205.00 bucks or the door.....
Had my truck in here for a front rear.the front desk service writer was a super nice fellow. this shop is very busy so it took a little while to get the truck started but once they got the parts they did a good job for what I thought was a decent price. you just have to remember that yours isnt the only truck that their trying to get out!
5 star rating, only because I appreciate all the work fromJonny Hendrixone of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is willing to help out anyone with anything at anytime. It could be with front counter sales, helping a customer load their truck, taking care of tickets that aren’t even his and making sure the invoices are right or even taking time away to help out the warehouse with inventory issues, pulling tickets or putting up stock. I don’t think Jonny gets the credit and the appreciation he deserves within the company. So thank you for everything you do from a customers point of view. And let’s also brag about Timmy Bowen.Like Jonny, timmy is also one of the nicest guys you can get help from. He’s one of the quickest to answer back from emails dealing with part questions, concerns, eta on parts. He also takes on the responsibility of getting all the information to you for backordered parts that are on order and keeping up with post tickets within DTNASo thank you both for all the amazing help you have given me over the 4 1/2 years I’ve been in this industry. It’s very much appreciated!
A good experience. Worked my truck in reasonably quick. Was properly repaired on the same day. Wouldnt hesitate to go back there.
Terrible. I took my truck in for a PM. I go to pick it up and it wont start. After four hours waiting for them to fix my truck that had no starting issues when I dropped it off, I get a call saying saying my truck has a electrical issue that is causing it not to start and that the problem existed before I brought the truck in. I ask if the truck runs and starts now, because I know it operated fine with no issues before I dropped it off. They say yes and I go to get my truck. As Im walking out to my truck I ask the mechanic getting out of my truck will I have any more issues getting my truck to start he says No we just forgot to prime the fuel pump after the pm. This is freightliner and they dont even know how to do a proper PM and then try to convince me the problem is something else.
PJ is a great guy, very helpful. Cody was awesome in helping me to locate and get my unit on the way (needed a jumpstart). Thanks again to both of them.
Pat and all the guys were great ! They made the transaction easy . They were a joy to work with and we are confident that they will service after the sale if needed .
Busy place and good service.
All I can say is pack your lunch if going in for minor repairs or be prepared for a night at motel for major work but when they do finally get done the work is done right. So as long as the repairs was done right then the wait was well worth it.
Great Guys In Parts & Service
While the repair shop does good work the service writers inside could really use some training in manners. Todd is very rude and ignorant. When asking questions he wants to interrupt and make excuses. We called in about 1045 this morning he told us truck was ready to roll. We get here at 1215 and he then says truck has another hour of wait time for seals to dry, then says its also got to be paid for. Well payment is preauthorized with the company and why did you tell us at 1045 that truck was ready. So we asked for manager who was much more pleasant to deal with. Todd needs to be disciplined for his actions today. I will say this much, if he talks like that to other clients one of them are going to end up losing their patience and clock his disrespectful self.
Good parts department
Rude service in the service department. Called up there and asked if they can look at my truck. They said it would be in the morning if we could get it there soon. Truck was there in 45 minutes and the service department said it would be at least 4 days before they could look at it. Called up there and asked to speak to the service manager and they gave me the run around. So told the driver to go get the keys so we can take it to a Cummins dealer. Went they went in to the service department they slide the keys to them and see u later. Dont come back. So if u can. Keep from going there. They lie to you to get you to bring your truck in there where they can give you the run around.
Well the service counter people are nice. The mechanics dont know thier butt from a hole in the ground. If i broke down in front of thier shop Id have it towed to a different place.
Nice people to deal with.
Freightliner Express Assess is a joke.(Some managers pet project?) Their diagnostics never get it right on the first try. They have one technician that knows what hes doing and unless you specifically ask for him, you will end up returning for the same issue.
Google asks you what you hate about this place. There was s nothing to hate. The place has low inventory on basic parts. Its either they dont wanna sell them or they dont know how to find them. So far the worse dealer I visited in a weekend. It would be nice to have management contacting me but I guess they are busy doing something else.
Get ready to wait. Repair times and part orders are slow. The employees are very friendly though. They have a nice lounge and a shower.
I buy my parts there.. the guys at the parts counter are great guys and very helpful ... as far as the service ... not so much... overpriced and I cant afford to have my truck down for days on end or even weeks for small repairs... I recommend AEE TRUCK REPAIR in cullman...
Arrived for service at 12:53pm on 1/14/17 and was told there were four trucks ahead of me, at about 6pm was approached by Service Advisor and was told his tech would notbe able to get to see the truck until Monday morning, I drove to the nearest truck stop and returned Monday at 6am to continue waiting to be seen. Waited until 1:30pm and finally gave up after watching trucks that came in after me get service and leave. Never again, next chance I get will be trading this Freightliner in for any other truck.
One of better Freightliners in lower 48, took a while to get us in, but we were out in about 3 hours, truck would not start at all, got it fixed under $600 dollars. Thank You. But they did try to charge me for 4 hours, didnt work. :)
Very professional people n fast service
They might have some good salesmen but service sucks. Beware and be ready for long extended waits on repairs.
They was realy nice and they are quick I realy like them would recommend them to anyone
