First NY inspection here. Very friendly staff, quick service, very fair price. Most important was they gave me a heads up on items that may need replacing soon, rather than trying to force services on me that arent necessary yet. Gives me an opportunity to look at and fix them myself, but thats the kind of way of doing business that when I cant do it myself, Ill definitely be taking it back to Bob Crowe. Much respect.

He looked at it and explained about all the problems and how it would cost more to fix it than it was worth. He could have steered me into a huge repair bill. Instead he recommended I dont even change the tires over. Great people to do business with!

I started using these services about six years ago and have had the best advise, work, and friendly people, who will always stop what they are doing to help you when you have a small problem. As a senior citizen it is refreshing to have a group like Bob Crowes willing to be friendly and be of service to us, and do it with a genuine smile.

I brought my car in for a second opinion to Bob. It should have been my first opinion. The first shop (Monro muffler and brake on front street), tried to quote me at just under $4,000 worth of work that needed to be done in order for my car to be drivable. Bob was able to solve the problem and get me out on the road for $100. The repairs the other shop recommended were not even necessary. This was an eye opening experience for me and I will never again go to a chain shop, only mechanics with years of experience and wherewithal that will be honest and work hard for you. Had an emergency yesterday near Binghamton while driving on Interstate 81... hood popped up unexpectedly and broke a windshield wiper and lucky to get to the shoulder safely. Went to Bob Crowe’s based on good reviews and it being a family-owned business. Receptionist was very kind and Joe replaced both wipers and also assured me the hood was properly latched and safe to drive. Note: it’s an old vehicle - 1989 Bronco II. In and out in 15 minutes and no charge for the wipers. Angels were with me yesterday and so very grateful to have found this shop.

Absolutely amazing. Honest, helpful, problem solving. All conversations were very kind, he and his daughter speak with you as human beings and equals. They did an inspection for me and an oil change and helped me solve my check engine light problem.

I have always brought my vehicle to Bob Crowes. I havent had it very long but every time there has been an issue theyve been there. Ive never had to wait weeks for my car or really even a few days. Theyre prompt, efficient and very nice people.

Nice people, but prices are insane too often. Have had a lot of work done there on my truck. Prices are 25-50% more than local shops like Monro Muffler etc. Understand its a small family business, but has gotten out of control sometimes. Had to pass NYS inspection and Bob said my windshield wipers needed to be replaced (which was true) went home and saw the bill for $79.99 new wipers. Finally decided that was the last time. Absolutely absurd for what they should cost.

He fixed my windsheild fluid tube! He topped up the windsheild fluid and he did it so quickly and well. Other places charged me 300$ to replace the valve but he did it for significantly less! Great guy, I am going to come back for all my car needs

I was looking for a local repair shop after Murrays closed. Bob Crowes was an excellent find. They got me into the shop quickly, inspected the car to determine what was wrong, texted me a full description to see what work I wanted them to complete, and had the car ready by the end of the day. They even offered me a ride to work. Everyone was very professional and took time to explain exactly what they did when I picked it up. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work they completed as well. If youre looking for a repair shop run by polite local people this is the place for you.

We paid them to adjust a linkage cable. The cable broke the very next day. They charged us to have it towed back to them, charged us the full price for a new cable, and charged us for the labor of having it replaced. Lesson learned.
