Dont even know where to start with these guys. Ive had experiences with many mechanics on a variety of vehicles. Never have I had one as enjoyable as this. Ill be the first to admit that I can be a difficult person to please.Communication was fantastic, quality of service performed was above and beyond, and they went out of their way to get my car back to me outside of normal hours, as I towed the car from several hours away to have them work on it. Glad I made the trip.I had them perform a timing chain replacement and intake valve cleaning on a VW GTI 2.0 TSI. They took time to go over several other minor issues and give the car a good once over. After performing requested maintenance and giving it a clean bill of health, I had them install APR software that really brought the car to life.I hope these gents can keep up the enthusiasm for years to come. Got a Malone DSG tune here on my 14 VW Passat TDi. Definitely woke the car up and firmed up the shifting. These two guys definitely know their stuff. Drove all the way from Helena to have it done. Shop is freakishly clean from what Im used to seeing and easy to find. Wouldnt hesitate to use them again if I was in need.

If you own a European car this is the best place in Billings. I was actually referred here by my regular mechanic for the VW and he did not steer me wrong. Quinn and Ian are very experienced and reasonably priced. They outline exactly what needs to be done in a manner that is easy to understand. This is a no brainer and only place that I would go.

FINALLY, a shop I can trust in Billings with my car. Ian and Quinn just get it. They are intelligent, super friendly, and will work within your constraints/interests/needs. They will order the correct (and quality) parts, professionally install them, and never sell you something that is not relevant to you and your car - all in a timely, efficient manner. The guys over at European Performance really know their stuff. After having issues with my BMW they were able to schedule me in to their packed schedule, diagnose, and flawlessly repair the issue. 10,000 miles later and I couldnt be happier. They have earned my business for life!

Extremely satisfied customer. They installed an SRE Performance clutch on my MK7 GTI and then flashed my ECU from APR Stage 1 low torque to Stage 1 high torque.The main highlights of using the gentlemen at European Performance (for me):1) This is a two man shop. Youre not dealing with a service advisor who has no idea what youre talking about and then fails to communicate your needs to the mechanic and vice-versa. You are communicating directly with the mechanic AND the service advisor.2) They have no issue with installing customer owned performance parts and there is no up charge for installing them. Harder and harder to find.3) Shop rate is very reasonable for the expertise you are getting. Charged the same number of hours as the forum consensus for the work.4) The level of personal service you receive from Ian and Quinn is phenomenal. I enjoyed chatting with them about further performance upgrades on various vehicles. They did not push any products or try to recommend any services that I knew I did not need.Bottom line is that I was happy with the service and that I would trust European Performance with any of my current or future VW/Porsches.

I brought my girlfriends 06 TDi Jetta in for a check engine light and I am sure glad I did. One of the glow plugs was failing, which isnt the end of the world, but their vehicle inspection turned out a long list of repairs that were necessary to keep the car road worthy and safe (Lower control arm, lower control arm bushings, rear wheel bearing, new glow plugs, new steering rack and wiring harness, oil change, fuel filters and transmission service). They also notified me on a couple other components that were reaching the end of their life but were not ready to be repaired (rear brake pads/rotors). Ian and Quinn were over the top with their professional attitude and I know all the work they did was honest and fair. They take the time to show you the failed or failing components they replaced so you know there is no doubt that the services they are doing are for a reason. European Performance is a clean and tightly kept environment. No fear to walk in the front doors because Ian and Quinn will make you feel welcome and invited. I could write on and on with this review about how pleased I am with my experience. I couldnt be happier with European Performance! Thank you, Ian and Quinn!

Ian and Quinn were fantastic!Our family was in the middle of a seven week RV road trip and our Sprinter RV chassis check engine light came on. We were able to make it into Billings where we could find an auto supply store. We did so and needed help installing a couple glow plugs. We looked up and auto repair service in town and European performance popped up with good reviews, not to mention, a couple young strapping guys running the show!They gladly took us in immediately and began work on replacing the glow plugs. We felt really good about their knowledge and command of German technology but what was stood out further was their rapport, demeanor and customer centric focus.We decided to ask them to perform an oil change service as well. Our confidence in their work was unwavering with an emergency repair we needed for our Mercedes.We were traveling to Seattle when we developed a brake issue. I called first thing on a Monday morning and was relieved when told to bring the car right over. Within 4 hours our brakes were repaired perfectly and we were back on the road.Their customer service and warm hospitality were top notch even to a couple just passing through Billings. They explained all options and were very mindful to get the best parts for the best value. These guys were fantastic. I bought a VW from the dealer in Oct 2019, two months later I discovered a leak in the sunroof. I took it back to the dealer and was told I needed a whole new panoramic sunroof costing $1700. G9t a 2nd opinion from another foreign car mechanic and he said about $900. I did some research found that it might be the drainage and not the window. I called one automotive place and they referred me to Ian and Quinn at E.P. I called and they knew right away what it might be as it was a very common problem in this particular model. Went in today and Ian fixed the problem quickly, without replacing the sunroof like the dealership recommended. I had an issue with the check engine light so I asked about while I was there. They had no problem taking a little extra time to get an idea of what the problem was, even though they were extremely busy and helping other customers. They told me what they found and we came up with a game plan. I also had A LOT of questions about the car in general as I have never owned a diesel car. My husband had asked the dealer the same questions and all they did was send a YouTube video to learn about our car. They answered all my questions, showed me where certain things were (like the DEF that I was told by the dealer and another mechanic was not on this car). Ian an Quinn were so friendly and so helpful. I walked out feeling so much better having answers to my questions and options to correct the issues with the car. They are very customer focused and definitely go above and beyond what any other shop I have been to. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone with a German car. I will definitely continue to take my car to them for all services because they know what they are doing.

Quinn and Ian are two great dudes.... I went in last week with both of my vehicles to get looked at for oil leaks, they diagnosed the problems easily. I took my cars in this week and they got them both done within the day..... Best part, I didnt have a way to get both vehicles home, they drove one home for me and I gave them a ride back to the shop. They did a stellar job and my cars dont leave spots in my driveway.

Ian and Quinn are great guys! They really know their product and have always taken good care of my 15’ Jetta. They have installed aftermarket parts and done routine maintenance for me! I would certainly recommend to anyone with a European vehicle.

These guys replaced a coolant flange that was leaking on my older Jetta. After checking, rechecking and checking the system again they found that my oil cooler was shot. After they replaced the oil cooler they checked everything again. I had them replace the timing belt among other things. These guys kept me informed every step of the way.I would recommend European performance to anyone. You would be Gambling going anywhere else. I have a lot more work for these guys in the future.Bottom Line: Best in Billings.

A no-nonsense garage...the brothers know their stuff, and are honest.

I brought in my 05 Volkswagen GTI to get a transmission and a timing belt along with some Gasket Work done. They got me taken care of incredibly fast and kept me updated throughout the entire time. The bill was also about 1,800 dollars cheaper than anywhere else in town would do it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for work done on their European vehicles

Theses guys are seriously fantastic and know their stuff. I left my CL55 AMG Mercedes with the dealership in Billings for a week to have them diagnose a starting issue and all the dealership came up with was $3000 worth of bogus repairs & replacements I needed while coming up with ZERO about my issue I took it in about. I dropped my car off at European performance & they called within 4 hours with answers to 3 different mystery issues I was having, one of them being that starting issue. They explained exactly what was going on and what needed to be done & had price quotes for each repair ready as well. They had the parts ordered & work completed by the end of the 2nd day it was with them and everything is PERFECT now. They also charged an INSANELY reasonable price for the parts and labor and also showed me the failure issues on each of the replaced parts they took out. I would HIGHLY recommend giving them your business if you own a Mercedes Benz or any German car Id imagine, certainly over taking it to any of our local dealerships. These guys will have my business for any issues I encounter from this point on without a doubt! 10/10 on all levels!

They helped me with my 2002 VW Passat, and found that an O2 sensor was most likely the problem. I understand they also work on Audi, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes and others. My first experience with Ian and Quinn was when I needed my ABS Controller recoded after I had sent it off for rebuild. They were more than willing to help me out and didnt even charge me for that service.My latest experience with them was a bit more in depth. I had been putting off replacing the timing belt on my 2003 VW Passat 4Motion 2.8l V6 and paid the price when the belt failed on the way in to work one morning. Ian and Quinn got it off of the Interstate and rebuilt the heads (14 exhaust valves and 2 Intake valves), replaced the timing chain tensioners, plus other requested work and got the car running beautifully. About 4 days later, the car wasnt running correctly due to a fluke mechanical issue which, even though the offending part was involved with the head work that they had done, I do not believe that the issue was the fault of Ian and Quinn. Didnt matter, though. They spent a lot of time troubleshooting the problem; went to great lengths to insure that repair made would stand up (went way over and above) and did not charge me an additional dime for their trouble.Great guys, great smiles, and a small town personal touch with professional service. It just doesnt get any better than that!

I have a 1973 VW bus that wasn’t running right for me. Quinn expertly diagnosed and installed a new set of dual carbs and a Pertronix distributor. He also tightened up some other issues as well. He and his brother Ian are super knowledgeable and friendly. Take your poor-running beast to them, and come away happy and in love with your ride once again!

European Performance will be our go-to repair shop from now on. After our power steering and heating/cooling system died unexpectedly the guys at EP got us in the same day and we were out the door with an extremely fair price and a fixed car!

Had european performance fix and air suspension leak in my 03 audi allroad. They got it in fast and had a new replacemnet bag for it the same day. They called me throught the day informing me what was going on and that they had also found another problem. These 2 guys definitely know what they are doing and are very straight forward. I also learned that they use oem parts and will be seeing these guys again. Thank you guys the car levels out great now!!!!!!!!
