My transmission went out while my girlfriend and i were working in Roundup Mt. Thank God i had towing on my progressive insurance, it saved me a lot of money. I had my car towed all the way to 5 Star Transmissions which was about 51 miles from my hotel. I called these guys not knowing what to expect as i dont usually trust online reviews. We talked on the phone and came to a really fair deal. After talking with the other transmission shops in town i chose 5 Star and I am so glad i did. We picked up our car the following Wednesday when our job was done and got a ride to 5 Star. We finally got to meet the owner and his wife and i must admit they are very kind, and willing to give a helping hand. Very nice people. I was amazed at their bill as aposed to the other shops in town. We drove home which was about 500 miles for us and the car ran great, and Im still driving it now with no worries and this was about 2 weeks ago. Thank you Dan and Brandie. I would recommend their shop to anyone. From your friends now happily back in Nebraska.

I first want to start off by saying Dan and Brandy are the nicest and most caring individuals I have ever came to meet. I was in the middle of a move from Seattle to Fort Bragg, North Carolina and on Saturday(6/23) my clutch went out of my car in the middle of Montana 40 miles from Billings. Dan and Brandy were the only two that offered there help and stoped everything they were doing and drove 40 miles away from their shop and trailered my car to there shop. This was at 730 am and by 1pm they called and said my car was finished. During Dan working on my car he called me and said what’s wrong and wouldn’t do no work without asking me first and that is just Dan. Brandy offered to pick up my family and I and drive us to Billings if we couldn’t get everything in our one car. She called and checked in on us. That was just one thing. Once I picked up my car it started overheating and I called and asked Dan a question and he didn’t hesitate coming to me with Brandy without me asking and spent another hour getting me road ready. They are so wonderful and I wish everyone ran a business the way they do with absolute care and love for what they do and their customers. To cap it all off they have checked in with us throughout the trip to make sure we are ok. I truly believe we just made lifelong friends after this. I was so stressed and worried when all this happened to me, and at the end of the day they made me feel so much better and safer and I know I will make it to my destination safe and sound and the best part is what I was expecting to pay for the services was extremely lower than I ever thought was going to be. Please everyone make them your first choice for any work and I promise you that you will not be disappointed!!!

I broke down at 8 pm on new years day I called every 24hr shop and they were the only ones to answer they helped me get my truck to there shop so it was safe for the night and made sure I had a safe place to stay for the night and had my truck fixed the next day super nice people only cost me $600 to fix the blown transfer case in my 94 f250 7.3 turbo diesel I highly recommend them try them first it will save you time they put travelers first

Awesome place, extremely fair and transparent.I had my transmission go out and everywhere else wanted twice as much. Been running great ever since, and that was almost a year ago.I recommend them to everyone I know.

Dan and Brandie are great people and Dan does a very good job at what he does. They are there for the customers and will go out of their way during their own time to do anything for the customers. I highly suggest to go here!!!

I have several cars and trucks I take them all to Dan hes never let me down. In fact I would go so far to say if youve had a bad experience odds are you werent doing business with 5 star Transmision !!!Hes fast and proficient never over charges and makes you feel like your a priority even when he clearly has lots of other people! Best customer service in town!!!!

This was the worst service we have ever received. Had a transmission that was slow to shift from reverse to drive. Dan rebuilt it and as soon as I got it back it was leaving puddles of tranny fluid everywhere. Found out the main bolt was not tightened and it was overfull. Two months later, just over 1,000 miles we decided to take our annual trip out of state. 800 miles from home the transmission failed (catastrophic failure). He said if he had known we were going to take it out of state he would have done things differently. He would not warranty his work, even though his website says best warranty in the business, only if we were in town. With towing being $1,200 and hundreds in additional fees to get my family back home we had to get repaired where it failed. Asking for some sort of reimbursement for only getting a couple of months of use, we were told, in not so nice of words, we were not going to get a penny. Very demeaning and rude and when mentioning going to court he said it wouldnt be the first time, so apparently he has been through this before. STAY AWAY!

This place does awesome work and at a very reasonable price. Fast, friendly, and I wont take my vehicle anywhere else!

I would NEVER go back here. Dan the owner has his kid do a lot of work - but i found both are equally incompetent. After working on my 2004 Jeep Liberty for 4 weeks i got it back but it wouldnt shift into 4 X 4. Ended out taking it to Lithia twice for diagnostics because Dan couldnt figure out what was wrong. After 5 visits to 5 star and a total of 7 weeks without my jeep - i gave up and let Lithia Jeep do the work. I would avoid this place like the plague!!!

Had work done by then and part became defeive withen warranty period and they replaced it no issues they atood up by their work.. ellecent customer service .. a good shop is hard to come by... this is one of the goods in town

Im in town from Michigan when my transmission started to leak. Talked to them 11 pm on a Sunday and had it in and fixed by Monday 10 am. All employees were friendly and professional. Would go back in a heartbeat.
