We like Bargain Mart. The staff is in incredible. The building is old so it has work to do but it is always clean. Watch out for spoiled cold food sometimes but most of the time it is a perfect way to save money on groceries. Youd be surprised what you can find in there.

You have to watch what you buy, but the prices are always right on.

I drive from Sweetwater to shop there. Its a hit or miss. But mostly a hit. The employees are super friendly and helpful.

Just watch the dates; I know the workers do and put those on the 10 cents on the dollar corner shelves. Started going there in 2008, and always happy to talk to the folks there I would go to HEB and tell people about Bargain Mart. I took a lot of items into Juarez to church families there. And I have some good pictures of families with bags of food from Bargain Mart. That started in 2014

Ladies were very nice, store was clean an prices were definitely bargains.well stocked everything was priced.No public restroom 😯 lost a star for that.

I love to go here and just check each isle to see what kind of bargains they have gotten in... you never know what you will find... sometimes they have purses, dog beds, thick velour blankets, sheet sets, paper goods, its not just food. And I find lots of organic packaged items there

Great place to grocery shop for Bargains. They also have unusual items not found in other grocery stores in our city. They have weekly deals. The only place I know that you can still get bargains at 3 for $1.00 or buy 2 get 1 free. The staff is helpful, courteous and friendly. An old fashion type grocery store that does not have scanners but checkers. You can also get discounted bargains on cookware, kitchen utensils, etc. You never know what they may have each week. Its definitely a bargain!

Dusty dirty store. So many expired items including eggs dated December 2019. Not sure how that is legal to sell items i.e. health care products outdated close to or over a year.

Really good stuff at great prices.i only get $75 a month in stamps with my disability.i can eat all month on that plus few extra little treats.i go here first before anywhere else.i get meat,produce,and everything..89 cents for bread.eggs are real good from here.look like and taste like fresh eggs.yolk bright pretty yellow,not almost white like at store.

The people are so so friendly and helpful not a better place in town for customer service.

You can find some good bargain stuff and different items brought in weekly. However you need to mindful of expiration dates. People that work here are real friendly.

An expired can is still good for a long, long time. I have bought hundreds, maybe thousands of expired cans and have never had a problem. (Read on the internet about it.). I have eaten a ton of meat and dairy products out of the meat case here and it has always been great. They arrive at the store frozen and thawed before placing it in the case. Actually, once in a while Ive found some meat a little bit frozen in the case. This place is a very popular, which proves that its a great place. Yes, the bread on the back way is pretty stale and other little things but count all the savings!

I am a big fan of discount grocery stores like this. We travel a lot and Im always on the lookout for them in our travels. I understand that many items are close to or have exceeded their expiration dates at these stores but this one seems to sell things that are way outdated. I did not realize until I got home that I was sold cottage cheese that expired over six months ago and yogurt that expired over five months ago. These items went right into the trash because they had a bad odor. If you shop here just make sure to check expiration dates especially on extremely reduced items. They obviously are aware of the dates since they are marking these items down so low.

I love shopping at bargain Mart, I pick up as much as I can. Everything I have bought has been good. Bargains a bargain.

This is my all time favorite store and the people that work there are absolutely the best.

Great prices but I dont recommend dairy but can, bottle and box goods are a good buy. Variety varies greatly at times but a good value.

I always find wonderful snacks for my kids after school snack. I will buy almost everything from there. The only thing I wont buy is their frozen meats, but beside that my overall experience is I love it!!!!!

Walked over 11 blocks all the way to bargain mart to get dinner and drinks, made it there at 6:20 and the sign said they were closed. That doesnt seem fair when they close at 6:30. Now Im hot, thirsty and have to walk the other way to go to porters. I walked all that way for nothing. Who closes 10 mins early when customers are still inside?

This is a salvage grocery, so expect a salvage grocery. I live close by and go in several times a week so that I dont miss something spectacular. I have found blackberries and raspberries 3- 6 oz pkgs for $1, smoked salmon (frozen) 4 oz for $1, Dunkin Donuts coffee for $.99, gallon size cans (beans, tomatoes, sliced olives, even coconut milk) as low as $.99.These are the best bargains. But most any day I can find good quality bread or raisin bread for $1, shredded collard greens $.19/lb, Vortman cookies $.99/package.I feed my family from this store, and supplement with Porters (which is, btw, a great regular grocery store). I probably spend less than half what I spent before I found this little gem.All that said, I dont buy lunchmeat here. But then again, I dont buy lunchmeat anywhere, that stuff is dog food. I check closely everything I purchase, and every once in a while I dont like something and toss it. But the overall savings are so worth it!!
