Was good for a 2 night stay. The spaces were extremely rocky but level. Power hook ups are fairly new but the water hookups were half buried. The dump drains are positioned weirdly in some spots so a bit inconvenient. Noise from a nearby oil well operation goes on all night. Most tenants are long term oil field workers. Laundry was ok but many washing machines were not functional. The daily rate was good but you get what you pay for.
Great two night stay here along the return leg of a three month trip .Great management; clean park with level sites, direct tv through your coax connection, lots of amenities including laundry building, shower facility, internet, convenience store ( which also has rv accessories!), very large game room/ party room, playground, covered outdoor bbq/ picnic area with picnic tables .We stayed at a pull thru site that was 90 ft. Long and at least 20 wide, with plenty room for our 41 5th wheel and our 20 350 truck . Most sites are back to back and are 45 x 30, with a pretty large concrete patio. All sites have 30/50 map hookups.. Streets were nice and wide. The park was clean and busy, but still quiet.
Stopped in for a 1 night stay. Easy check in, friendly staff. Basic sites, but level with great cable tv and very good wifi. With passport america it was a wonderful deal. Would stay again if passing through.
Nice quiet campground. Away from the highway. Office stays open late and they take drop ins..we are here for one night traveling through. Friendly and full hookups. Will stay again if we get to this area.
Stayed at 3 nights. The ladies in the store were very friendly and helpful. The man working the grounds came and fixed a faucet that we had accidentally hit when pulling in. He was very nice and worked quickly. The park was clean and a quiet place. Will stay next time we are through there.
Nice facilities and clean. Level spots Laundry room, store and rec room all nice. Friendly staff. Dog run had a lot of scattered debris/garbage. No grassy area. Otherwise very nice.
Great little stop off point. The speed bumps are a bit much.
Clearly one of the best RV parks near Midland/Odessa area. This is a great spot for us to overnight on our way to the Southwest in the winter. They accept passport America so it is a cheap place for a night. The ONLY reason they don’t get 5stars is the abundance of dog poop surrounding the entire sandy border of the park. It’s gross and needs a long cleanup.
I must say that Amanda, at the check-in desk, was very friendly and accommodating. But this park is for gas and oil workers. And thats okay, they gotta live somewhere. It was quiet on a Tuesday night with a faint whiff of refinery fumes in the breeze. If you want a shady campground with a bubbling brook nearby, GO TO COLORADO! We were tired and, other than walking the dog, went right to bed. There is quite a bit of trash, old mattresses, etc on the perimeter. I saw a clean looking jungle gym but the only kids I saw were playing in the dirt by their RVs. Not a blade of grass or tree in sight. Of course, in West Texas, this may be the only option. Time your travel to stay in the Hill Country!
Great overnighter. TV reception, decent wifi and nice level sites. Just far enough from the highway to be quiet. Ill use again.
Very nice little park . The staff is very friendly and very customer oriented. I had a small issue when I arrived and the staff took care of it in a heartbeat. I was impressed with their concern and how important they made me feel. I would recommend this park to anyone. Thanks Jerry Cook full-timer 6 years on the road.
They have the cleanest and nicest showers I have ever seen at an RV park. I felt safe and comfortableusing them. The stalls are designed very well even with handicap bars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Passport America is good here, that is how we knew about them. Its very hot in August so the A/C was wonderful to have in our RV. There is a large game room with pool tables and table shuffle board. Also tables where people can gather and a large TV. I will look forward to stopping by again.
Super fast check in. Great size playground for my kids to play on. ALSO they had a little kids pirate bounce water area. SUPER PLUS for my kids. Lot to do in game inside eating area. My site was pretty level. Thats a big plus for me. Pet friendly. Great amount of space to walk my 3 dogs around. When out with my dogs people were welcoming. Good place to relax.Updated: had to drop a star because of the maintenance man. We were setting up to leave. He can clearly see us right across from the play water area. Wish he would of waited just 5 to 10 mins for us to finish up loading up. Maintenance man decided to empty out the Pirate ship.water started to drain all to my site. Water isnt a big issues but with 5 kids and 3 dogs walking back and forth to my trailer to the truck tracking in mud all over in side my trailer and SUV.
Easily accessed from main hwy, Friendly helpful staff, very well maintained facilities, a genuinely decent little store with odds and ends. Grocery store less than 6 miles away if you need to go. They even offer with a coupon ready made pizzas so if your pulling in after a long haul just place an order. Overall a very quiet place to just relax and be at. Will put on list as place to stop back at again for sure.
Super rude staff. I strongly believe the only reason they have good reviews is because they pay you 10$ cash or 10$ credit to leave a good review. We put down a 100$ deposit on a spot 6 days before we were moving in. They called me a couple days before move in date and told me the spot was taken over night and I could pick another spot or if I just really* wanted the spot that I PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN ON, that they could ASK them to move, but it would be inconvenient for them since they already had everything set up.... We decided to blow it off and pick a different spot. The sewer connection was underneath the camper in the spot we had picked for the second time. Which did not work for us either. Went back in to the office and they said we could pick another spot. So we go searching for another spot again, found one but this time the water hook up was under the camper. Also the ground was so unlevel, one side of our AUTO LEVELING JACKS were on the ground, while the other side was inches off the ground we couldn’t even put enough boards underneath it to level it. We decided to pack up and go back to the park we came from. I went back to the front for the 4th time since reserving my original spot and asked for my deposit back as this park wasn’t going to work for us. The lady told me that they don’t normally refund deposits but to “get us happy and out of here” she quickly scanned my receipt on her paperwork and said it was back in my account. I dealt with 2 different people at this park and both were very rude. Would not recommend to anyone.
Absolutely love the staff! The park has the best amenities in Big Spring. We spent a full year here problem free.
Nice place for a quick stopover. Located right off 87, so just in and out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Mostly permanent residents here, but we got a spot, no problem.
Hat Creek is awesome! The managers were so helpful and we finally got to use our Passport America membership and only spent $17.50 for our full hookups pull through site! So glad we got the last one for the night! Perfect waypoint between Carlsbad, NM and San Antonio!
Since new management, the place has really been cleaned up. Super friendly staff. Owner is planning on doing more upgrades. The spaces are large. They welcome pets, please pick up after them.We will definitely stay here again!
When we arrived the park was almost full capacity, and we were surprised we got one of the last pull thru spaces. The park is very clean and has lots of amenities. We will consider staking longer now that we are settled in and seeing how nice this place is.
Best Rv park around! Has wonderful management, it’s very quiet, has a awesome clubhouse and Pizza!!! I highly recommend this place! Definitely will be back.
Very nice place to stay. I would definitely stay here again. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I also like the store right there it was really convenient.
The park has mostly long term guests but there are a few spots available for overnight travelers. Nice big lots, clean park, excellent cable TV and WiFi. Don’t forget to check out their extensive store. Would definitely stay here again.
Super quick check in, clean and convenient store o0n-site. Completely flat, pull-thru site..Only reason I didnt give it 5* is the lack of tree, but it is after all West Texas. Will stay here again.
Been in the park for a little while now. Has all the amenities you could ask for. Very kid friendly, even had a Halloween party for the kids where they could play games, win prizes, and trick or treat. Best park in west Texas by far. Has its own convenience store, and it’s own laundromat. The staff is friendly and treat you like family. Honestly, what else can you ask for. I highly recommend it.
We arrived around 3:00 in the afternoon. It took us till 8:30 PM to get power to our motorhome. The maintenance person said he you talk to the office about crediting us for the night. We had to sit in the car with the dogs while he repaired the power source in the spot where the RV was parked. We will never stay here again.
Nice quiet. The Staff is awesome. They always have something going on so it just not a boring old RV Park
Great place to stay! Very accommodating to our schedule changes. Friendly staff and clean restrooms/showers! Family and pet friendly
Very nice Quiet place to stay very nice staff working very helpful. Really enjoyed hope to return soon
Very impressed. Nice greeting and plenty of amenities there. Mostly full-timers working but long pull through sites for transient RVers.
Chelsea was exceptional. We called and they had an opening same day. She even upgraded our site for us no additional charge. Sites are spacious and well managed.
Me and my husband came in this past summer, temporarily but we saw how convenient everything this rv park offers & how friendly everyone is and decided it was only right to come back to stay. Indeed family friendly !
Very nice and clean park. Manager was extremely helpful and friendly. Will stay here again next time in the area.
Stayed for an overnight. Staff friendly and accomodating Easy access from highway. Level site with concrete patio. Great amenities with well stocked convenience store. Will stay again.Chuck and Michele.
Was a great place just need more gravel on the pull through lots with rain pretty soggy. You have a great park for even a short stay
We are back!!! Anytime we are working near the area we only stay here!I wrote a previous review but thought they definitely needed another shout out!We highly recommend Hat Creek RV Park for everyone! Whether you are full timers or just passing though. The staff is very friendly and Shayla ( Manager) is absolutely wonderful and will go above and beyond for you!Very clean place all around and extremely family friendly with easy access to small necessities at their store on site. Nice playground for the kids and our son loves it!Even man cave friendly for the guys working away from their family! They have a gameroom with pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball, darts and TVs. Even sell beer and pizza at their lovely store!
Level with paved roads & rock sites. Quick registration in a nice spacious office bldg with supplies & many food/drink choices. Playground for kids. Good cable tv hookup & a quiet night made it a good & convenient stay.
We were passing through the area and called for a last minute stay. They were very accommodating and Chelsea gave us very good service. We recommend hat creek to all.
Needed a quick overnight. All sites are back in. Most inhabited by, what seemed to be, workers in the area. Quiet night. In the morning, while doing our safety walk around, my Husband found several large screws and nails all around our spot. I can only assume these are here because this place is still under construction. We are stopping every few hours to check all 10 of our tires! For this reason, I do not recommend this place until they address this. The Manager was very nice though. Unable to let her know about our issues because another camper had broken their waterline and they were busy trying to fix it!
Stayed there for about a month and I wish every RV park was like this one. My husband and I absolutely loved it! The park is really one of a kind, everything about this park is really clean and friendly. It provides water, electricity, WiFi, cable, it has a playground for the children, a small store, laundromat, restrooms, showers, a social gathering facility (great for family cookouts, play with pool table and tables and chairs for gatherings), and every lot has a picnic table with concrete.
I loved the large camp sites. Backing into was easy. Did not feel cramped. Will definitely recommend.
The parks nice but the girl in the office is super rude. Wouldn’t recommended staying here unless you want to deal with her attitude.
Hatcreek is the best! We miss it dearly and the amenities can not beat them!
Nice pull through sites, Good WiFi, clean facilities and friendly staff! Many thanks to Shayla at the desk for her help
We just arrived at this park yesterday, So far I am liking it. They have a laundry mat on site a convenience store, and a shower house, playground, and each site has its own concrete patio. Also they have pool tables and a small restaurant and they have free cable TV also they have WiFi for a small feeYour water, electricity, sewer, and trash are all included in their price for staying here.
As a passport member we chose this campground. Able to get pull through for the night. Staff very friendly.
We stay at parks in many different states and honestly this is the first time Ive dealt with such rude people. Theres nothing stand out fancy about the place but it is decent. There is alot of trash and things they say arent allowed are allowed, like dog poop, kids without adult supervision, little things like that. The rent is a little pricey but it does include electricity and water. The first month we were there we were out of water all night and the next day 3 times. They said a main water line broke. The second month we were out of the state for Christmas and when the 1st of the month rolled around we forget about our rent in Texas at their park. We never recieved a reminder (which most parks do) on the 5th when we were back in Texas I recieved a text telling me the rent was due, I was charged a $75 late fee! First of all how rude when you put us at an inconvenience 3 times with no water in one month with a baby in the camper, we had to get a motel 3 times due to this. Second of all from the very first day we arrived there we began receiving group texts about parties. If you can take time out of your busy schedule to send me that, you can absolutely send me a quick message about the rent being due! Another thing about group texts is our personal cell numbers were shared with all others in the park, I know this because I had their numbers in my group texts. YOU DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL CELLPHONE NUMBERS! I was under the impression that when I filled out the paperwork in the office that it was confidential. The water went out another night and day due to cold weather, again it was an inconvenience but we sucked it up. We just paid our full $640 rent on the first, only to find out we had to drive home after 10 days in their park. I asked about a refund for the rest of the month but was told no. So we paid over 600 bucks for basically a week and they had already inconvenienced us more than once. Then the same day we pull out, THEY PARKED SOMEONE IN OUR SPOT! We never said we were never coming back, especially since they refused to refund our money! I worked at a park before and we could not double collect on the same spot. So wow, another 600 for the same spot but wait a minute, thats still our spot till the 1st of the next month! The young lady that works there has no people skills at all. When you run a business you have to be kind to the public, please and thank you go a long way. You are lucky if she acknowledges you when you walk in and she looks at you like you are stupid anytime you ask a question. If you cant work with the public then dont get a job working with the public! If there is a cheaper park near by I would recommend staying there. Im sorry but her attitude will cost her business sooner or later.
Friendly check in. Very clean rec room with pool tables and a place to connect to the internet. Large TV. Good pizza. Very nice rv park. Would stay here again.
Great and friendly place. perfect for family and petsAlways brings me back!
Convenient than any other RV Park also have a store and everything else is on your property so its more convenient and just having to go search for anything else
Great location, very kid friendly with park, jump house, shuffle board, pool table, and Foosball. Roland was wonderful and kind. Very clean place. Laundry is little over priced never had to pay more for drying than washing, but honestly my only complaint.
I am currently staying at this RV Park .. Great staff, The RV Park isvery well-maintained and clean... it has a very nice laundry room and shower facilities, they except all breeds of dogs, Which makes it very pet friendly for the ones with furry children, But best of all is there little store on the property they offer everything from household items and food to scoop ice cream, pizza, beer and cigarettes, The clubhouse has a pool table and foosball table and several other games to enjoy, so If you’re looking for an RV park in big Springs Texas I highly recommend this one!
I’ve been at hat creek for a month now and it’s been good to me so far, laid back my neighbors are cool I would definitely recommend.
Great setting, great service. Amanda is absolutely amazing!
We camped here overnight and the place is clean with large sites. Ours was a pull through and level. The staff is friendly and the store on site is very convenient. Best thing by far is the free wi-fi and cable. Most RV parks i’ve been to so far only offer wi-fi at the clubhouse. We were far from it and had a strong signal. Full hook-ups, free wi-fi and cable for $17.50 (passport america rate). I’m very happy with the park and will stay here again if in the area.
Nice rv park, pull through sites make it easy to park, internet works well which is not likely in and rv park, would recommend this place to others, shayla was also very helpful
Very clean, friendly staff and the best service highly recommended. *****
It is hard to find a full service rv park in this part of Texas. We were pleasantly surprised to have all our needs met. Most sites have a concrete pad to help keep your rig clean, cable, wifi, laundry, pull thru’s. They accept passport america which is a bonus. This was a gem for us.
They have a Excellent bath house, fast Wi-Fi, stayed for 4 months and never had a issue with this park. The manager is always on site and quick to answer any question you have. Everyone is friendly and respectable. Cool clubhouse and convenient store. Will defiantly be coming back.
Very large open spaces lots of amenities and nice friendly staff highly recommend.
Nice place but the worst wash machines Ive ever used.. dont bother with the top loaders
The place is nice but the young girl running the place is not polite unless you are paying for a spot to rent. There is a quite time in the park but if there is a complaint she does not have time to deal with it.All she says is I have a baby and its late.Still owes us refund over 500.00 dollars still trying to collect uses her child for every excuse. We have traveled all over the US and never been treated so bad!I know when the quite time was and it was not forceBecause the one playing all the loud music was doing work for the park!I will continue to give bad reviews for workers will know!
The place is easy to get to beautiful and the employees are awesome especially Amanda.
I had an amazing experience at the Hat Creek RV Park. The people were friendly and willing help with anything. I highly recommend putting them on your buck list. You wont regret it.
Staff is friendly manager is great at trying to help in anyway very clean place!
There is dog feces everywhere. There is no where for the dogs to run around. There are no puppy potty stations for feces collection. Workers have loud music playing all day long in a metal building at back of Park. Management is very friendly. UPDATE: They now sell beer & have a bathroom / shower facility. Free chili on Wednesdays is always a nice treat.
Nice park, friendly staff, clean, not far from I-20 has a good store with scoop ice creamYum
BY FAR THE BEST RV PARK IN BIG SPRING TX5 STAR THEY HAVE IT ALLFOODSHOWERSLAUNDRYPARK
Best rv park we have been too. Staff are very friendly and helpful especially shayla. Has onsite store with fair prices plus a clubhouse with pool tables. Shuffleboard and foosball. Wifi and cable included. Plus fair priced laundry onsite. Highly recommend.
Worst place weve ever stayed. Did not feel safe. Was lied to on multiple occasions. Do not believe the Hi-speed wifi advertising.. you have to set up your own network. Not much to do in the area. Stay away.
Great Place with convince for its Guess. It has a full store for a family without going into town, Entertainment indoors and outdoors for adults and kids. It also so has what we all like Internet, DirecTV, vehicle wash to Include RVs. Also wonderful Owners and Staff!!!!
Super nice Rv park and love the pool table and other amenities! When we were there the cable didn’t work but We’re giving it another shot! All the people we dealt with were super helpful!
The owner is very friendly. The campsite is being upgraded with a playground and showers are planned for the future. Currently there is a laundry room. Rates are very reasonable.
Hat Creek RV Park is perfect. Great management, clean park, and a very friendly atmosphere. If your in the Big Springs area, I strongly recommend Hat Creek RV Park.
Accommodations are good. Super convenient store in afternoon. Internet is awful but staff is friendly.
My friend is the mgr there so went to see her it seems like its very quiet around there.
Great place but to high got power drop in elec
Ok for just a night. Neighbors blasting horrible music. Its under construction so that may be why the place looks like its seen better days. And NO place to walk the dogs, spickey plants are everywhere.
Nothing will prepare you for the let down when you drive up to this place. Gravel parking lot full of tumble weeds everywhere. Dust blows from all sides. The hookups are on a area where a concrete pad makes to hard to park without running your tires up and over them. The check in is at a persons house where You go inside there messy living room. Full time residents are construction workers who play loud music all night when driving in and out . Keep driving ! Could not get out quick enough....left before daylight in fact.
Great park, great store the staff is friendly an helpful, . The park is well maintained. I would stay here Everytime Im in the area
Good stop over lots of workers not very well maintained very nice host
Hat Creek Rv Park is probably ideally what anyone is looking for when they need a place away from home . It’s nice quiet maintained and right outside of town they offer WiFi (DSL) service as well as laundry service. They have a very nice size laundromat available on site as well as change / quarters to the laundry which is very convenient!!
Nice place for short or extended stays.
Cool place! Nice that it has a store on site.
Good place to park your RVs
This is on of the better RV parks, play ground, laundry,CONCRETE PATIOS, WiFi,direct tv,and now the owner is making it even better, big new showers, a grocery store, a great club house, with big tv and pool table, they sell ice, beer and wine and many other things, the manager venessa is very nice
The upgrades being made here are excellent! If you need a spot in Big Spring this is the place to choose!!
Grocery store on site, laundry mat, playground, nice spaces.
Just a big dirt lot. Nails, screws wire coat hangers all over the place. Hard to back into spot, as they put sewers in wrong place. Water is below ground level and the faucet is in dirt and rocks. Was told wifi, but none. TV ok.If you value your tires, dont stay here.
Friendly managers, big & clean laundromat, fast wifi, nice playground, close to stores. All the amenities you need in an rv park
They give you a reservation, then want to bump you for someone else. Please what does reservation mean, she said no deposit and we take all forms of payment confirmed my reservation for 2/13, then cancelled it!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHIC!!!!!
Low voltage on electric pedestal, supposed to be 50 amp! Running 1 AC out of 3 on a 90 degree afternoon! NOT good!
New campground with concrete pads but the red dirt or sand was terrible. Need gravel around the camp site. Other than that was ok
Overall great experience at Hat Creek RV park, would definitely recommend for anyone staying or passing through Big Springs. Very clean lot and responsive staff
Nice folks!! Reasonable prices!!
Nice spaces clean environment good services
This place is quiet and nice ..
Convenient, clean, friendly, nice park
Good enough for a couple nights
