Chaumont (Beverly Hills) thought it was all hype but apparently others were correct. The dam croissant is pure AMAZING!Parking: Metered parking on Beverly drive and surrounding streetsWhat was tried:- Breakfast croissant = YUM!- Moroccan breakfast = It was good but dont think I would order again- Almond chocolate banana croissant = AMAZING!- Pain Suisse = PURE AMAZING!- Chopped salad is NOT worth the money fyiMissing Pear and bread in general need to try since they ran out.
One of the best French pastries shops in LA. Totally obsessed with their food. All favors of croissants are amazing, both sweet and salty one are unforgettable delicious!!Have been here continuously 3 times within a week, always amazed with how crispy of the croissant taste🥲. Coffee was moderate, but MUST EAT croissant 🥐❤️
Great pastries!Who doesn’t love a French pastries with chocolate? Drool. It has a perfect texture when biting into it. It’s soft inside and makes you so happy.Alright so I guess I’ll go tomorrow to get some more. Yum.Salads are delicious as well. Just see for yourself. I highly recommend.
We used to love chaumont - sadly, the food, including the once delicious pastries, were terrible. The service was equal to the food. What happened!? This was one of our favorite spots, we couldn’t get enough - now I never want to go back.
The staff are extremely sloppy and unhelpful. They seem to not care about customers and I feel sorry for the owners. Their clothes are always dirty looking and the pastry section looks so messy so you don’t feel like ordering for safety reasons. The Vegan Chaumont on the other hand is great, the staff there are always polite and helpful and it looks clean.I would highly recommend the owners to do something about their staff and hygiene for the Normal Chaumont.
Excellent almond croissants! They came in such a beautiful bag that it looked like we were buying fine jewelry. That could have been one possible explanation for the super high cost.
Love love this place.. ate here 2 mornings in a row. I had the crushed avacado omelet delicious! My husband had croissant egg sandwich again... delicious!!! 2nd morning I had the lamb sausage with eggs, it was very different but not bad. I also had the banana croissant and the almond croissant both were very flaky and tasted amazing. I believe Jose helped me he was very kind and when I mentioned that I didnt get charged nor did he remember to give me my strawberry desert well.... he gave me a 50% discount:)))) If we are ever back in town I will definitely be returning.
At last a breakfast place which serves European size portions in USA. Tried the pancake and it was excellent. If you are around in the area. It’s worth the visit. However there is no service at the store, everything is takeaway .
The BEST croissants in Los Angeles...Great food and warm, safe environment. Love this sweet little restaurant.
Amazing vegan pastries! Go early because they do run out. Theyre popular for a good reason. Fabulous!
The pastries are fine, and coffee is good, but the service was terrible. When the cashier gave me my coffee, she did not close the lid properly and it spilled hot coffee on my hand. No apologies or even any check if I was ok. Didnt even replace the coffee! There are lots of options on Beverly, this place is nothing exceptional and the poor service is just not worth it.
Was near so wife and I stopped in for breakfast. I had French toast and an Americano, the wife had a chocolate croissant with a cappuccino. We got the coffees right away with the pastry. The toast took a bit.Wife was very happy with croissant. Flaky with plenty of chocolate just like she likes it. Perfect compliment to the cappuccino. She was happy (ensuring MY happiness, as any husband knows). She had finished her croissant by the time my meal appeared but it was worth the wait. The presentation was great (see pic), but you cant eat presentation. The toast blended very well with the butter, maple syrup and nuts. The sliced strawberries provided a nice offset. Just the right amount, too.All in all, we were both very pleased with our selections.Bottom line: we will be back. Although there was a lot of foot traffic, the staff handled it well and it never seemed crowded or loud. A very pleasant breakfast and we enjoyed it very much.
The croissants are FLAKY and really good. I ordered the salmon croissant and it was delicious! Be prepared to pay Beverly Hills pricing - two croissant sandwiches and two coffees were about $40. But definitely the croissants are worth it. You could also get them as a pastry item (instead of a sandwich) - the other sweet pastries look delicious too
Loved this place! We got the chocolate croissant, smoked salmon poached egg sandwich, and french toast. All three items were incredible. The croissant was so good and the actual pastry was flaky and delicious; the smoked salmon sandwich was filling yet light; and after eating the French Toast, I dont think I can ever eat it any other way again. Would definitely go back!
Went for their vegan croissants. Discovered that section was closed on Thursday.Go early for the best selection.
Best pastry place ever. Delicious 😋
First time dinning here looked inviting from the outside and the inside is also nicely decorated Very simpleI ordered Juveos Rancho which was served in a skillet at $13.00 it was just ok kind of bland not much flavor too cheesy they didn’t offer salsa that might have gave it the flavor it was missing....pasties looked good but I doubt I will be returning any time soon. To try them . I liked background music. Cashier was friendly.
Breakfast @chaumontbh was very enjoyable, beautifully presented tasty food with gorgeous decor around and incredible pastries on offer. We ordered the baked eggs with mushrooms instead of feta cheese, the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon croissant and an acai bowl. We also tried the almond nut and chocolate filled croissant which was delicious!!
This used to be our favorite French bakery in LA. Ordered for pickup and drove all the way from Encino only to throw our $80 order in the trash when we got home.I live with an extremely at-risk elderly parent and rarely leave the house. I cant take any chances. When we do eat out we get delivery from establishments we trust. The Chaumont Bakery & Cafe website states, In these troubled times we are taking all possible steps to keep our guests, employees, and community safe. Because we know how the restaurant operates and trusted the owners, we decided to treat ourselves. Delivery was not an option, so we ordered for pickup.Curbside pickup was not offered. Customers were not respecting social distancing or mask-wearing rules and employees made no attempt to enforce them. Employees were interacting with these careless customers and then handling food. The pastries are out in the open behind a sneeze guard that is not very tall and I witnessed a customer go around the sneeze guard to point out what they wanted. Ultimately, we did not feel comfortable consuming our food and threw it all out due to the abhorrent behaviour of their customers and the establishments lack of caution or care to combat it. When we called to express our concerns, the staff was dismissive and rude. We have been patrons since it opened in 2013, but that was our last visit. If you are at all concerned about SARS-CoV-2, please think twice about eating here.
Super good pastries my favorites are the banana chocolate croissants and the raisin custard roll.
Their pastries and food are superb, they get a 100,sadly they get -100 in service, the people at the counter are completely indifferent to the growing line of customers, choosing instead to rearrange the [pastries on the trays or take the garbage out, when called on it, they act indignant and give back attitude, apparently waiting 10 minutes in line is not enough.
Very good food here.Staff is super nice
Great place with great options. My favorite is the french toast, its a small portion so you can order it on top of whatever youre getting and have it for dessert!
Stumbled across this cute little cafe on a bike tour and had an amazing pastry and hot chocolate. Would definitely go back if we lived closer, but we are from NJ. Give it a try - you will not be disappointed.
Croissant.Get it. You’ll thank me.Best breakfast sandwich as well.
Under quarantine so I thought Id use this time to review some of my favorite spots in the area. Spot 1 has to be Chaumont. Ooh ooh ooh are they good. Regardless of what your tastes is Im sure they will have something for you. Inknowni love it. Its rarely crazy packed(even more so now) and the service is top notch. Your always greeted with the friendliest of faces. Its just an awesome experience.
I would give zero stars if possible. this place is the worst
Great little spot for breakfast. Best orange juice in town! They run out of croissants a little too early, but if you get there early theyre really fresh.
Excellent pastries and breakfast all round.
This is one of my Go To Spots since Im moved to Los Angeles. I prefer the Hollywood location to the Glendale location. Personal preference a bit more low key. The food is absolutely delicious. The servers are great. There are definite times when it seems they could employ a couple extra hands. They are busy!! A great location for bigger groups as well. Be sure to reserve.
Incredible Baked goods. The egg sandwich on croissant was so good.
Amazing place, such a great service. Feels like you buy a high end product. Probably one of the best almond croissant I have ever ate. The vanilla and chocolate chip croissant is amazing too. You can find street parking. I LOVE IT!!!!
The food was good. The tables are spaced apart well enough but they dont come out to wipe the tables in between each customer.
Lovely atmosphere. One of the best croissants in LA! Food quality is nice.
Well, tasty, tasty and in fact tasty and tasty to taste
The best Bakery in Beverly Hills.
If you like French pastries, then go here.
Excellent breakfast!
The breakfast was great here. The owner is pretty cool also. Nice person. I definitely recommend this place. Great food and service.
Chaumont is as close to being in Paris as you’re going to get. Fabulous, fresh pastries that are so elegant and great breakfast. Every time we go, we hear a customer speaking french - so if they go - you know you are in the right place.
Awesome place. People super nice including the young owners who also work there. Try the almond croissant at your own risk. Youll find yourself hooked and returning every day for more. Amazing! And the coffee is the best anywhere!
Very nice staff. We got a gluten free birthday cake that everybody loved. This place is better than a few others we went to over the years.
The best croissants in the world. Better than what you’ll find in Paris or Lyon. Not sure what their trick is to make their croissants so flaky and buttery but please keep it up and thank you
DELICIOUS pastries and food!!! Best French bakery in L.A.!!! Great service, friendly staff, amazing food. I highly recommend it!
Nice little french cafe. I had just finished reading about it online, turned around and there it was. I think they call that fate, or destiny, or synchronicity. Whatever you want to call it this is a great place to enjoy a great coffee and a great pastry. Just great.
Love it. My go to is the breakfast croissant sandwich.
Matcha croissant was divine!! Very good bakery. When there are no prices you know its going to be pricey but a great treat in Beverly Hills.
Best pain au chocolat Ive had outside Europe
Great French bakery. I had the breakfast croissant and it was delicious. All of their pasteries are amazing. Not the cheapest place but definitely you get what you pay for here.
Delicious,i give it 4 stars just because they need a better interior designer
Beautiful looking pastries in a prime location, I was really expecting a bit more. For starters I got lucky with a parking spot right out front and the service was excellent.I went with his recommendation of the croissant twist with cinnamon, dollar more than the croissants but it also looked a bit better.Might have been my fault for not eating it right away, but when I enjoyed it later that afternoon it was a bit chewy, not the crisp and flaky crust I was looking forward to.Also think I would have enjoyed the chocolate more than the cinnamon, it was a bit lacking.I will have to give them another chance, they had so many enticing looking pastries, eclairs next time.
Really good croissants, well at least the almond one. Food was pretty good too. The tart was only okay. Service is great. Free 2hr parking a block south. Its a short walk aways.
Inexpensive! Delicious soups, bread, pastries and quiche. A great place for a quick lunch or a light supper.
Overpriced and overrated place. Veggie omelette barely had feta cheese, had economical choice of veggies, and had just a lot of arugula with some sauce on the side. The oatmeal was ok. Croissant had too crunchy crust. The strangest thing they serve salted butter with jam for toasts. We asked to give us not salted one. The respond was rude like We have only salted one which we serve. I mean the ton and face expression was absolutely not nice. Not acceptable especially in expensive establishment. What was good is the bread that I ordered with cheese and butter. Because of bread I give 2 stars.
The most delicious *and beautiful* French desserts and pastries in Beverly Hills. As an alternative to a last minute birthday cake, fill up one of their glossy lavender cake boxes with tarts and eclairs 💕
Lets start off by saying that the selection here is impressive, with some cakes I had never seen before.
Best croissants in Los Angeles!!
Amazing place, such a great service.Probably one of the best almond croissant I have ever ate.
I went earlier this year and was blown away so I had to go back. This time is just wasnt the same. It was good but....Also, asked for a lemonade, they didnt mention it had mint. Im not a mint fan, wish they would have told me.
Good baristas. Location is also very nice. We enjoyed our visit and coffee here.
