THANK YOU Teske for helping us find our fur baby. We love her and the staff are extremely supportive. We even got some dog food theyve been eating for an easier transition.WARNING: if you want a puppy in the future, you better call exactly when they open. We kept getting the busy tone and finally our phone call went through(2-min later) and 7 pups were already reserved. They go fast!! Make sure you are ready for the responsibility.

There was a LOT of empty cages and the birds were all blocked off. Theres cages in the floor and the store is just a bit messy. The fish though seem to be well maintained with a lot of specialty fish Ive actually never seen before. Their bettas look really healthy. I was potentially interested in a bird feeder but theyre super pricey (some $50!?)Theres potential here, just get the store cleaned up and the animals replenished.

Out looking for flowers for the new planting season. They have great choices to choose from. Staff was very helpful in explaining the flowers and how to take care of them. We did purchase a few items to spruce up our yard.

We arrived to Teske on a cold December afternoon ....looking for a puppy but unsure what breed we had in mind. The outside of the store was decorated like a Christmas card with strands of colored lights and a Christmas tree lot out in the front. Snow was coming down like crazy with a big snowstorm on the horizon and we had to get home so this was our last stop. Christmas music was playing both outside and inside the store. As we walked in we noticed that there were many people in the store and they seemed to be gathered around a small “corral” enclosure with hay in the bottom of it. As my husband and I walked over to it, we saw 10 golden retriever puppies playing...growling and jumping. They were adorable and needless to say, we left with our Maggie girl. She is a smart, lovable, obedient glue that holds our family together. We love this store for the gift that it gave to US on that snowy Sunday afternoon. Thank you, Teske Pet and Garden. So much.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I mainly go there for supplies for my ball pythons, and theyre always very helpful and knowledgeable. They can always get me the feeder mice And rats, I need to take care of my animals. Their water program is always great as well. They take great care and taking care of their animals and making sure they are healthy. I highly recommend them.

Walked in and seen 3 workers, nobody greeted us. Walked right past us . The lady who was working with the birds today(Wednesday March 3, 2021 around 1:30pm) was really rude. Asked her questions and just sat there at looked at us and said nothing, then walked away. I have been to the one in Moline and it is the ONLY one I will be going to ever again . Bettendorf location has rude staff and very messy.

I love Teskes I have bought my amazing Dutch rabbit from them and she is just the sweetest most kind bunny I’ve ever met! I have gone there many many times and the service is always amazing and they have bigger bags for cheaper then my local outdoor needs store! Definitely recommend for anyone for any pet needs!!!

Great people and great variety of pets, supplies, and gardening items. We regularly take our dog here when we come to buy something or look at the animals they have for sale. They have dogs, cats, fish, birds, rodents, insects, and a lot more. We have purchased several dogs from them and have always have good experiences (though I’d always recommend adopting or buying directly from a reputable breeder if you can).Their prices for supplies and items are sometimes slightly higher than the big box pet stores and Amazon, but you get great service and support a local establishment by shopping here. They have many seasonal items here as well including plants, flowers, and even Christmas trees. The kids have always loved coming here and we will continue to support them.Highly recommended!

I buy a very particular brand of cat food for my sensitive tummy girl. Teskes stocks it just for me. They know about how often I buy the food, what size bag I like, and recognize me when I come in. They always have a bag of the food every time I need it. Im so glad to be supporting this lovely local business who truly gives great customer service.

I needed ant poison, and the staff didnt seem helpful or knowledgeable about the products at all. People typically go to places like this instead of Walmart for the service.

My family and friends have been customers for decades. We will NEVER step foot on their property ever!! They are selling puppy mill puppies!! Not only that they have received several citations against them from the USDA which is difficult to do since they dont do their job. If you purchase puppies from them you are contributing to animal abuse!! If you love animals please do NOT buy from pet stores or online. There is no reason for this except pure greed!! Dont buy anything from them, get them to stop this horrible abuse!!

Great for pet supplies.

I really like going here to visit the puppies and other animals. They seem to treat them pretty well and most of them come from privite breeders instead of puppy Mills. The only thing is that they dont let you hold then if your not 19 or dont have an adult with you and the dog cages dont look very clean

Love looking at the puppies when theyre in. Lots of pet supplies as well. Flowers when in season are great too.

I dont know who likes this place better. Me or my cockatoo. Since I work full time and normally have things to do on my day off, I will bring the little guy over for a visit while I go out and get things done. They are always willing to have him over and I can tell by the way that he reacts that they take very good care of him. The employees always give him a lot of attention and love. Their selection of plants and parrot food is also pretty good. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for lovely plants, pet food and toys, or just want to get their four-legged or feathered friend out of the house.

My fiancee and I purchased a lovebird from here two weeks from me writing this review. The friendly staff take great professional care of the birds there until theyre weaned and ready to go home. We visit our lovebird very frequently, and were always greeted with a smile from the staff who are always willing to help. Great atmosphere with people who know what theyre talking about.

I dont have an experience - my wife and I have years of experiences and that is why Teskes is always our first place for pets and plants. Julie and her crew are always there to help and provide professional and personal service. We almost always adopt our cat children from Teskes and buy all our pet supplies from them. You can shop other places but never have the experience available always at Teskes Bettendorf.

Decent little garden store. Although the puppies seem expensive for what appears to be dogs straight out of a puppy mill.

I like the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the variety of animal Care items they offer outside of the typical cat and dog. My only concern was one of the feeder mice did not look healthy, it was missing a chunk of fur on its back. This could affect other mice and the animal your feeding it too. I mentioned it to a worker, but they didnt seem concerned over it. Maybe it was ok, but it was disconcerting to see.

Had a fainting spell while shopping. A n employee gave me her water bottle from their break room. The service is always great. They will load plants in your vehicle. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. If they dont have what you want they will try to order it. Prices are quite reasonable compared to other garden centers. Selection is enormous. Will not shop anywhere else for my plants. Suggest they enlarge the selection of garden decorations and all will be well.

Very knowledgeable staff that shows great care for the animals theyre selling. Very well taken care of kittens and puppies, theyre fish and reptile department is spectacular.

Very professional and lovely selection! I came to look for a grown female Ball Python, and they had a new girl right there! I took her home the next day and fell in love with her. Shes beautiful and the best snakes Ive ever owned. She has scars from other owners, but they assured me she was healthy and friendly, and she was! If you want to get a certain animal in this small area, try and go here!

Wonderful, caring staff. Remembers our names, frequently engages my son in talks about the animals. Even gave him a shed snakeskin, which he thought was the coolest.

The puppies they sell come from puppy mills, if you ask for information about the breeder they will tell you that the breeders information is private and cannot be shared, that is a sign that the puppies are from a puppy mill obviously the breeder is trying to hide something if you can’t have information about them.

I love this place.I got both of my Rabbits and hope 1 dog too.I also get all my bird stuff there. The staff is great and helping..

The teenaged employees have no idea what they’re doing. They’ll stare at you for fifteen minutes before one of them realizes a cash register needs to be involved.

Teskes is a good place to buy fish. They also sell fish tank decor (fake plants, live plants, items fish can hide in) and products for your fish (food, mag floats, gravel vacs etc). Ive always found the staff friendly and some of them are very knowledgeable of fish species, compatibility, school sizes etc. If the person helping you doesnt know the answer, theyll find someone who does. Ive had better luck with fish purchased from here than ones purchased at Petco or Petsmart.

Bought a kitten here few days ago. They were so nice and so helpful. First time purchasing a pet here and it was a wonderful experience.

Interesting little garden and pet center. They have some nice vegetable choices and their flower selection is small but interesting choices along with some of the basics. They have a little of everything with a convenient location in the center of town.

Great lawn and garden expertise and the products to solve the problems. They help solve the problem first and not just sell you something. If its the wrong season to take care of an issue, they wont sell you the product, just pet you know when you should come in to get it, or do something that they dont sell. Animals are good as well.

I love this store, for both my pets needs and for my gardening fix! I have always been helped and treated very well. I appreciate how caring the staff are for their live animals for sale. Cages are always ckean, and the animals are well.

They sold me a sick puppy with Giardia parasite for 800.00 and my min poodle might not live. He had bloody diarrhea 3 hrs after i bought him. My puppy is in the hospital with an iv and on meds. This puppy was for my son 7th birthday.
