Spyros was okay but really not special. They serve you a fava bean meze for free in the beginning which is kind, but its tasting pretty average. The garlic bread was prepared way too far ahead, it was not crispy at all. The saganaki was dry and pretty hard, would not order it there. The lamb chops were alright in taste but grilled too far. Souvlaki was also okay. The service if friendly but more on the offensive side, some think this is funny some think this is annoying. For us it was at least not bothering. Prices are reasonable though but the tavern is missing the love in their work.

Amazingly delicious food, very generous portions and super lovely warm friendly owners! We’ve eaten here for 2 meals in a row - it was that good. The baked eggplant is a flavour bomb and stuffed squid is so tasty (and surprisingly refreshing, not heavy at all!) The owners were so kind to give us a free appetiser and dessert - and both were incredibly delicious too. Go - no, run - to Spiros!

Absolutely delicious meal! We had the shared appetisers for 2 which was huge (lots of deep fried goodness) and then Mousaka and the best meatballs I’ve ever had for main. We also managed to squeeze in the baklava and ouzo that the waiter brought to us on the house. Would really recommend for a great value and really tasty meal.

The waiter is proud that the portions are big, and they are, but the are simply not good. The fish had an after-taste and we are not sure how fresh it was. We also had squid, and they dont know how to prepare it - it was very hard to chew and all the other places make it in a much better way. The kids had a pizza, which was frozen from the supermarket - a decent place cannot serve such dishes.The waiter was over enthusiastic and it sometime made us uncomfortable. He should pay attention to the service, give the bill on time, and stop telling us how good the restaurant is. It took a long time until we got the bill, and the staff was always busy calling people on the street to come inside.

Delicious food at affordable prices with good size portions. My husband, son and I enjoyed our first meal on Naxos here. We were looking for a place with lots of vegetarian options. Spiros definitely met that requirement. We had a village salad, oven roasted potatoes, giant baked beans, baked eggplant and pasta for my son. Also bought a nice bottle of local wine. I would go back again.

I was looking for a good goat dish on the island. Their goat, tomato, and pasta dish was very hearty. I left satisfied.

A lovely genuine restaurant with delicious food and generous portions that is unfairly overshadowed by the restaurant opposite. Honestly worth a try. The staff are very friendly and eager and all too happy to help. Free starter and ouzo at the end really rounded out the meal. We knew we had made the right choice when the owner of our hotel pooped in to grab dinner for his dad.

The portions are big, but food was not fresh at all. My friends did not like it either, next day they had stomach pain. Shrim pasta, fisherman pasta, and kalamari were the main bad dishes. Saganaki was good. Personally i didnt like the attitude of owners, but some people find it funny.

Food at Spiros restaurant brilliantly good. Amazing owner, full of commitment. You can see that he loves what he does. I recommend the rabbit, Naxsian salad, briam and many other dishes. I dont understand the phenomenon of the Giannoulis tavern across the street where so many people go, especially because the food is just as good. For starter we had aubergine with feta, but the main courses were not not so good, the food is clear not fresh, I saw they hitting up my pasta in the microwave, my partner had Lamb with vegetables, the meat was dry and tastless. The service is poor and the waiter is very rude, I would not reccomend this place.

Substantial seafood platter. Very fresh, very tasty. Not far from the beach too.

Super rude employee, we parked on the side and were rudely told to leave as we were blocking the entrance which of course was on the front side. Wouldnt even try it after such a disrespectful experience.

Friendly owners that made our evening in Naxos a memorable one! We had fresh fish, fried cheese, salad (cucumber tomato & black eyed pea), along with a generously-poured glass of wine. Worth checking out and very fair prices for the quality.

Boston visitor here. Spiros restaurant was a great stop - came for the reviews and the menu specials and am so happy we came. Incredible hospitality, excellent seafood, generous portions, reasonable prices, and an awesome atmosphere. Spiros, the owner, made it a point to visit everyone and make sure they were happy and satisfied for their meal. Only felt welcomed to be here, never rushed.

They are fast to serve, kind, very good food, no time of waitting of a table and good price. They offer the starter and the desert.

Not attentive at all which has been a common theme on the island even with only 2 other tables. Maybe I expect too much since I have alot of experience waiting tables. Maybe its a culture thing. Never made eye contact so I felt I was a bother asking to order food, waving to order drinks, getting up several times to get my own condiments and to pay. Food was good...Waiter recommended stuffed calamari. It was cooked right but not very tasteful. Swordfish was excellent. Reasonably priced.

Spiros is a delicious place to grab lunch or dinner. We stayed in Agio Prokopios for a few days and ate at a few different places but came back to Spiros every night even if just for dessert and drinks. Spiros is very delicious, healthy food at affordable prices with laid-back atmosphere and great service.

Nice place with good food, but the waiters are not very experienced neither too friendly. They made mistakes in the order. We also had some problems with the payment deriving from them being uncareful. The food was tasty.

Such pitty...the food is not so bad at all but the rest is as well important.Zero organization, so much mistakes with the plates (they offered us 3 times plates that were not for our table).No sequence followed with the customers...didnt understand at all how they were thinking.The boss was too much focused on potential customers from the street, before taking care of real customers.

The food was great and the service was awesome. Not sure if it was the owner who was helping wait tables, but he made you feel at home. My wife and I went around 8:30-9pm; it was packed. We had the olives, garlic bread, Greek salad, pastitsio, gyros plate and some wine. All the food was amazing but the Gyros had to be the best Ive had. We have pretty good gyros in Chicago, but this was the best Ive had. We did not get the fish, but a couple next to us did and it looked fantastic. At the end of our meal, we were surprised by two shots and a few pieces of loukoumades on the house... We couldnt have asked for more. Will definitely go back in these three short days visiting Naxos.

Twenty minutes after the six of us arrived the waiters haven’t even taken drink orders we asked a waiter walking by and he said they Spiros would come. We waited over ten minutes, and noticed the other tables that were seated after us, were already eating, and we still hadn’t ordered drinks. We found they favor Greeks, over tourists. Cannot review food or drinks for we left and went to another restaurant with better service.

From East to west, Spiros is the best. We had the stuffed calamari, roasted chicken, and zucchini balls. Yum! Great service, the waiter was is such a great mood, it was contagious.

Food is ok in good portions. But neither the employers are very friendly, neither the payment is easy. They dont know what kind of cards they accept.

This place gets mixed reviews not on their quality rather service, the waiter is ok just needs a vacation. We had the fish mixed platter, very good.

We had a great time. The menu is very varied, we threw ourselves on the fish menu with some tasty side dish based on broad beans. One of the best solutions in the area for value for money.

Good food, we had beef stifado, very soft grilled chicken, moussaka, right portions in terms of quantity, (they are a good fork), taking into account the antipastino offered at the beginning and the ouzo and the orange cake and the watermelon offered at the end, I would say excellent value for money.

Traditional Greek cuisine, cheap and nice. At the end, the staff served us a glass of ouzo :) The second time we got a very interesting starter. Opposite there is a restaurant where people are queuing. Go to Spyros instead of queuing up, its very good.

Lage leicht oberhalb vom Strand an der Straße. Der Service war freundlich, teils auch etwas chaotisch und hektisch wirkend, lässt sich teils wenig Zeit. Das essen war lecker und umfangreich. Bei der Grillplatte hätten wir etwas mehr Abwechslung erwartet. Es war relativ viel Bauch. Tzatziki und Reis waren nicht dabei, dafür Pommes. Somit wurde das Tzatziki extra bestellt. Eine Hauptspeise wurde vergessen, aber auf Nachfrage gebracht. Die Vorspeisen waren alles lecker und gut abgeschmeckt und der Hauswein passend.

The food at Spyros is delicious. We had a fish platter and you can tell that everything was to our satisfaction. We can also give the service 5 stars with a good heart. We were served very warmly and for all Germans whose English is not perfect, the owner speaks good German;)

Frankly the competition is super tough in the street but we ate so well ... the local meat dish to share with 2 a delight!, very welcoming staff, offered us starter and dessert, I recommend!

The food was above average and the portions were huge.When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter (owner) took the order.Before our meal came, which tasted great, we were served grilled garlic bread with beans and pea paste.What we didnt like was the arrogant demeanor of the waiter / owner.The restaurant would visit more if the boss changed his behavior.Because of this, we no longer come to eat.

Several orders were forgotten. Waiter interrupts you several times. He said it was not his fault if a dish was forgotten ... He only took orders from 6 of 12 people and just left ... We then had to ask ourselves whether the other half could order. Drinks did not arrive as well as 3 dishes. The second waiter had to pay for the others mistakes all the time. The food was good, even if some dishes that were on the menu could not be selected.

Recommend Fishermans spaghetti 🍝! Spaghetti noodles stewed with mussels, red prawns and squid, tomato sauce taste, very delicious! recommend! The taste is a good traditional tomato pasta taste, but it complements each other: the tomato sauce adds the flavor of the mussels and shrimps, while retaining the plumpness of the mussels (almost all of them are yellow) and the sweetness of the shrimps. The noodles are full of seafood flavor. But be aware that a large portion, a big sea bowl, fifteen or six mussels, four palm-length red prawns, a small amount of squid sticks, and a very real pasta, it feels like Enough for two people, I eat a portion by myself and a lot is left. The main dish my friend ordered was grilled shrimp, and he said it was pretty good too. If you are interested, you can try it. In addition, we also ordered the mix of starters, one of the 7 starters, all of which are croquettes, not tasty and not recommended. We ordered a glass of red wine and white wine (white wine from barrel and red wine from barrel), which is very common and not recommended. After the end, desserts and a local spirit will be given, so you must refuse! Desserts are so big that I doubt my life, so it’s so big, my god! I directly refused the spirits, and another restaurant delivered it during lunch. The taste was Chinese liquor, and the amount of 100ml was given as soon as I sent it! Incredibly chaotic and unsympathetic service. Our drinks (2x Cola) were forgotten, even though we were the only guests. The waitress (that was probably the owner) was very pushy and without a mask. The food was then unfortunately very below average. There are clearly (!) Better alternatives in the small town (e.g. directly opposite).

Tasty grilled squid and good sea bream fillet. Good hospitality: they immediately brought us water and then they offered us an antipasti or of the house with bruschetta, broad beans, beans and tomatoes. We were also satisfied with the bill and the delicious watermelon offered at the end of the dinner.

Large portions, very good food and really good prices in this typical tavern that runs along the road full of locals (perhaps the only disturbing element) and that looks almost like a deli. I happened by chance (the restaurant on the opposite side was full) and I must say that I came out very satisfied, especially for the wide choice and genuineness and simplicity of the Greek dishes offered. Try the Moussaka and grilled sardines. Do not make you put on your plate unoriginal contours such as potato chips and salad because the portions are very generous and my advice is to try more than one dish. I recommend it.

Prices a little higher than average, but still ok dishes ... The only drawback the owner who at every course asked to photograph them and then publish them on TripAdvisor. He was more interested in paying people rather than making us pay with the card.

Unfortunately not to be recommended.The service is hectic and u coordinated. Long wait for the food ordered. Tzatziki had to be reordered, was forgotten when the first order was placed.Kebab was bloody inside. We then got a new portion without any problems.It didnt taste really good.Too bad.
