A while back ago, I tried to consign clothing that included designer jeans but was told none of my clothes would be accepted to consign. I thought it was strange considering most of clothes were superior to what they had on their racks. Just visited the store and walked around for a few minutes but left because my presence wasnt even acknowledged. Folks of darker hues, dont patronize this business...they dont want you.
If you love High Fashion Design clothes or other stuffs, you need to check out this place soon as possible. They have a very small section for the men’s clothes, but if you are lucky you will find something for your own style. Sometime I will find clothes for my Mom. Let me tell you guys this is the place to go. They have a lot of amazing clothes for women. All their clothes are clean and very good condition. This is my favorite place to pick up something amazing for my Mom. The employees are very friendly. The fitting room is always clean. The price is very reasonable. Personally, I will never pay retail clothes from High fashion stores, unless it’s sneakers. If you want to look amazing and save a lot of money. I really recommend you guys to check this place out. For parking I will goto a street down in a parking garage. Don’t worry it’s free for two hours. Trust me, two hours it’s enough time. So let’s grab your shopping bags and start hunting for your own personal style of clothes guys !!!
Love this place..... high-end to vintage pieces. Always find great finds.
Beyond shock and worst personal experience of my life. After moving here from England, I was told to check out Reddz by my co-workers (who recommended me to check it out). However, I was very disappointed with the service I received. I personally went to the store and asked if they accept certain brands to find out that they did not accept anything from a pile of high-end brands because it was not in good condition? and they did not accept those brands the following visit. I guess someone could have mentioned to me that they want a condition wrinkle-free, freshly-pressed and dry-cleaned. Thankfully, I went to another secondhand designer clothing and accepted the items that were turned down by Reddz. It is so amusing that some of their items are overpriced and worse conditions than charitable clothing shops. I was shocked that there were stains, rips and missing buttons on some of their items. Thankfully, my friend was able to point them out before I bought it.
I have been here before and it was great! This time however was different. I had every intention of buying things I had tried on. Then, I saw something else I wanted to try on. It was not marked or held for anyone else. The sales associate, who was dressed as if in Hamilton, asked for it back as it was being held. Of course I would have accepted this, but it wasn’t, which I stated. She then under her breath muttered, ‘hmm I’m sure’.Needless to say they need to work a bit more on training their staff to be a little bit more polite. I left with not purchasing two tops and a pair of jeans as I did not think that behavior deserved my business.
Not bad but a little overpriced for pre-owned clothing
Everyone is always rude. Always
Very nice selections of clothes, shoes, and jewelry, but this is definitely not a thrifty consignment store. They sell high end used clothing at outrageous prices. You can find some good deals hiding away though.
There seemed to be some cute finds at Reddz and the assistants were helpful, but after trying on clothes for more than an hour I came away with nothing. Many of the clothes were simply priced too high, and quite a few were damaged. All of the clasps had been broken on one skirt, there was a dress with subtly ripped lace, and a dress that had a hole on the front skirt.Furthermore, I was quite surprised to find a number of pieces being sold that were dirty and/or had clearly been worn directly before being consigned. They had wrinkles from being worn and not washed, spots, smears, and one dress even had deodorant all over it. I let one of the clerks know and she said that they dont clean the clothes, and she didnt seem overly concerned about the dress (which was pretty gross). I guess I dont expect consignment shops to thoroughly clean clothes but I would expect some minimum care to be taken to at least steam or sanitize them. Ive been to a ton of consignment shops (and thrift stores!) and never seen anything like this, even at Goodwill or Salvation Army.Mine wasnt the only sub-par experience: my sister bought a dress sold as designer there (Josie Natori) that was actually a knockoff... instead of Josie the tag said Joie in the same writing. : ( I came away with the impression that the employees/owner dont put a lot of care or work into the shop.
LOVE them! My mom and I go all the time to their Georgetown location, and I was just as impressed with their Bethesda spot. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of clothing and jewelry, but I received the best customer service Ive ever had while shopping. While in the dressing room I broke a pair of Chanel earrings that Id received as a graduation present (and purchased at their Georgetown location) and without a second thought, the owner, Wendy, looked at them and said Give them to me, Im going to take care of getting them fixed, I have a guy that can fix anything and a few days later I received a phone call to pick them up (in perfect condition). It meant the world to me.
A really nice upscale thrift store with a decent selection of designer wear from Michael Korrs to Versace to Chanel, Yves St Laurent and so forth. I was able to buy a really nice Chanel purse for a reasonable price. Their employees are really sociable and helpful as well.
Inconsistent. It is a hit or miss if you are selling items here. Sometimes the person going through your clothes is not familiar with some brands, such as Michael Kors or Donna Karan, and they put something that is in perfect shape and in style into the no pile. If you come back and get someone else on another day, they accept it. There seems to be high turnover in staff, which causes inconsistency.
After you get over the initial smell of public restroom and cat piss. It’s a pretty nice place, the music was a little obnoxious in my opinion but it could have been worse.
Great value for gently used high end designer clothing and accessories.
Selection is good but the prices are absurdly high. Brands they carry are mostly high-end, not fast fashion like H&M or Forever21 - you may not have much luck if you try to sell these brands to them. Shop girls are a little snooty but theyre like that in every resale shop. Reddz is clean and nicely decorated on the inside, I think they cater to DC fashionistas that are not on a budget. I might suggest checking out Poshmark first or digging around Goodwill in Northern VA for better steals on second-hand clothes.
Very rare to find anything interesting. Most of the time overpriced or worn visibly. Many items are like much more poor than at a Goodwill store but priced much higher. At the same time when I brought unused contemporary branding names things to sell few times, was rejected before taking from a bag. Not a popular size, not the most known bramd. Come on.. I have a popular size, the things were from a branding store, and were lookimg better than they were at the store.
I never miss a quick stop by this killer designer-friendly thrift store when I am in Bethesda. Today I bought a DVF dress that is like new, a light Burberry jacket, a pair of Ugg loafers, and a gorgeous cowl-neck sweater for under $300. Craziness! The staff is fantastic, and they have a ridiculous range of sizes. Love it.
Great consignment store! I always find great items and the prices are reasonable.
Please call in advance to ask for their daily policy. Today, they weren’t accepting sleeveless items and platform heels.😏
Overpriced. Do not bring your items here to sell, you will get ripped off. if youre in desperate need of the money, try selling just one item on Craigslist for a low price and youll get your return there.
I took my Louis Vuitton bag, Chanel shoes and YSL heels they are excellent condition but The lady working at the buying side offered me $100 for LV bag and Chanel shoes so I told her I paid more than $800 + tax for the bag and she said this bag on sales on online for $200 haha so that stupid lady was trying to rip off of me. This bag still selling on online more than $500 even it’s used.
Good but very small Mens selection
Not a huge selection and the staff can be somewhat stand offish. Good prices for high end items and clean store.
Reddz is fabulous. Every single time I go here, I find way too many things I want (need?). Its bigger than the average thrift shop, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Theres a really great selection of designer clothes (Nannette Lepore, Ferragamo, DVF, etc).
Didnt think that the entire pile of about 20+ Fall pieces I brought in would be rejected. I went last Fall with clothing from the same variety of name brands that WERENT JCrew, Chanel or Gucci but were from NY&Co, Merona (yes, thats from Target), and other brands including the Gap, Express, and American Eagle Outfitters. Tags and original prices with values of $60+ were still attached to the items and a good few were accepted. Today, different story. Guess name brands count more than whether theyre condition is practically new or in season. Messed up part of it is, the sales associates tone with me and others looking to sell wasnt friendly. Furthermore, I walked out of there feeling low and embarrassed for bringing clothing that was not of JCrew standards or higher? What the heck does that even mean? Provide a more exact list and explanation to sellers so they dont waste their time and end up having a humiliating experience. Thanks!
You can pick up some diamonds in the rough.
Hit or miss- for the most part, this place is the bees knees!
The workers including the manager could have Kinder attitude!
Pretty pricey though I did get a pair of damaged pants for 1 cent
Reasonable price consignment
Unhappy with the exchange policy
Nice!
