Experience is I always feel welcome by a great staff —I wish something could be done about how we are triple taxed by a service which we pay for it’s existence and reap no operating profit to benefit the county. Only the state!!!BTW —none of This has to do with the store, which I really like and appreciate that it was “ deemed essential “ by the Gods —Montgomery County Residents pay for the operation and we don’t receive the store profit— it is grabbed by the STATE—- that means no matter how well run store the store actually is — and it is— the residents are treated to layers of added cost with no chance of participating in the gains — sounds like a fleecing — if you want to see proof— read the website details of the operations financials and contact the county representative to stop giving away what belongs in Montgomery County by their design.

Large, reasonably well laid-out ABS Store. Great selection (especially if youve been in some of their smaller stores), only issue is that at times the shelves can be raided if you come after several local restaurants have done their runs for that day. So definitely use the online tool to check inventory before making a special trip!

Bad prices for wine. Beer prices not marked, just stacked in aisle. Service you would expect in Montgomery County run operation. MoCo needs to get out of the alcohol business.

Proper Covid protocols in place, and staff were limiting admission to prevent overcrowding. Inside : plenty of stock, great prices, esp manager sales...and the cashiers were on point, so even though customers were lined up, the wait was minimal. Well done, MoCo, well done .

This is the county run liquor store. The wines, while diverse, are middle of the road at best - quality wise. The spirits are varied and plentiful with many local selections to choose from - the far and away best choice when shopping here. The beer selection is OK, but there are better beer shops to choose from if you are into craft beer. The prices are reasonable with the occasional good deal. Not a bad place but I come here when I am in the area but not when I want something special.

These guys are always super nice and helpful. Out of all the Montgomery County liquor stores I use, these guys are by far the best. It is also extremely organized - which is always a plus!

Why is it so cheap?! Seriously though, someone please explain to me why a bottle of alcohol will cost less here than a cocktail containing said alcohol in DC?Not much can be said about a liquor store, so Ill just rank it on the 3 factors;* Selection:Fantastic, they have a wider selection than most other liquor stores within 20 miles. No joke. Ive found 3 separate things here I had previously only been able to get on special order.* Price:As I mentioned above, the price is absolutely unreasonable on some things (not all) - LESS than wholesale. I have no idea how they manage this.* Service:The ~45 seconds it takes you to check out will be pleasant, they have good HVAC and all that. There arent really staff on the floor (its a liquor control board after all) so you wont get a -ton- of guidance if you dont know what youre looking for... but if you know what you want, its perfect, in and out.

This is probably the largest liquor store in Montgomery County. Has everything from beer to wine to various liquors including imports. Prices are mostly good. The beer selection is not small but focuses on common brands so it might not have those craft beer you find in small stores. This is a no-frills place run by Montgomery County itself just because in this county only the government is allowed to sell hard liquor by the bottle (whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, etc.). No decoration or nice displays. Just shelves. Enter, find what you are looking for, pay a reasonable price, good bye, see you next time.

This has been my liquor store of choice, but I will not be returning.I was given attitude when my VALID ID was denied, and when I returned with my passport to validate it further I was again treated disrespectfully. When I asked to speak to the manager, I found out the rude man was actually the manager. When I asked for his name specifically, he childishly replied “the manager.”How does one run a respectful business when the manager himself is unable to speak to customers without an attitude?The rest of the staff is friendly, but it’s unfortunate the business is ran by someone who doesn’t understand customer service.

Store rejected my ID despite being valid and verified at a liquor store down the street 5 minutes later.I asked if their ID scanner was broken, they say that it worked fine, despite it not verifying my valid ID. I asked if I could call a central location/corporate line to report their non working machine, and they basically ejected me from the store.So if you look even moderately young, do NOT shop here as they WILL reject you, humiliate you and threaten to call the police.

Hands down best prices and selection of liquor, wine, and beer in the area. It cant be beat. The parking lot is usually packed, but you should be able to find at least one space.
