I bought a mattress at Mattress Firm in Seattle before I moved cross country to Maryland back in March. I brought my boyfriend to this Mattress Firm yesterday and worked with Tamsir.While we had hoped we would get a better deal than what they offered online by going into the store, we did break even cost wise and Tamsir was very accommodating with everything! I had a $50 off code for signing up for emails and he added that to the discounts. We did have a choice between the $50 discount and a free bunkie (something I received when I went in Seattle) which was unfortunate since I knew I would receive the $50 off regardless online and was hoping to negotiate a free bunkie in store.Just for context, if your order online, delivery is free but if you order in store, it isn’t. Tamsir was able to take off the $30 pick up fee to ensure that getting the mattress would still be free but just would require us to pick it up.I gave this experience 3 stars because we did walk away with some regrets of not buying it online as we ended up with the same product but having to pick it up in Bethesda to drive it to Ashburn instead of getting it delivered.

What you see is not what you get!This is an edited review after our beds were delivered. Yes, Sales Associate Harvard Morehead was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable.The problem is with Mattress Firm itself. My wife and I prefer different firmnesses of mattress. We decided to go with the top of the line Beauty Rest models, made for Mattress Firm. My wife chose the model marked FIRM. I chose the model marked MEDIUM. We waited nearly two weeks because the MEDIUM plush mattress was not in stock. When the beds arrived, my MEDIUM was just as firm and hard as my wifes mattress. It felt nothing like the model I sampled on the showroom floor.After two nights of very bad sleep, I went back to the showroom to ask if there had been some mistake. I got back on the mattress I was supposed to have purchased and it, indeed, was MEDIUM plushness -- what I thought I purchased. I was told that the mattress model I bought WAS the one on the showroom floor and that it had to be broken in for a month. I was told the model on the floor had been lain on by many people and was broken in. I was asked to sleep on my new bed for thirty days before making an exchange.This is preposterous. When you buy a firm bed, you should get a firm bed. When you buy a medium plush bed, thats what you should get. You should not get a bed as hard as a rock and be expected to endure sleepless nights for a month while the bed somehow transforms into the mattress you thought you were paying top dollar to purchase.If you go to Mattress Firm, they will clearly tell you at point of sale that exchanges must be made after thirty days of trying your bed. But it never occurred to me that the bed Id receive would not be the bed I bought.The bed I exchanged was a top of the line Duxiana bed, more than double the price of the Mattress Firm bed I just purchased. And, yes, the bed I sampled at Duxiana was exactly the bed they sold me. Medium plushness. No trickery. Be warned: at Mattress Firm, what you see is not what you get.We will not shop at this chain again, nor will we recommend to friends and family.
