We got 2 cakes for my daughters first birthday and they were excellent! FYI, the itty bitty cake is perfect for a 1 year old to tear in to. We also got some muffins for breakfast and those were great as well. We will definitely continue to buy cakes for special occasions from Bethel Bakery!

First and foremost, our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and equally delicious! We had a very specific design in mind for our cake. I wanted to have the Deathly Hallows Symbol from Harry Potter and my husband wanted to incorporate the Pittsburgh bridges onto our cake. Despite our extremely specific request, Bethel Bakery was able create a cake that incorporated both while still looking truly elegant. They were also accommodating by providing a nut-free cake since we had a handful of guests with allergies which we appreciated. We would highly recommend Bethel Bakery!

I just happen to stop at this bakery because my family loves bakeries and I wanted some fresh bakery goods there’s nothing like a bakery -...I’m sure you understand.Well, I walked into this magnificent large space it was everything -detailed and in plain sight but the staff was amazingly nice.I walked away with cinnamon buns, Apple tarts, loads of cookies, I believe even a slice of pie... We booked Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake and poor Nicolette of the wedding department had to deal with my fried bridal brain on several occasions, but she was so gracious and kind through it all. There was more than a few times that I was worried my ‘vision’ for our wedding cake didn’t translate right on paper or on the multiple times I called, but it turned out SO MUCH BETTER than I ever could have imagined. Whoever the cake artist was for our wedding cake did amazing! It turned out to be even more whimsical and elegant than I imagined!

Rating: 4.3 StarsThis was my first Bethel Bakery - The Cake Place New Years Pretzel. While this is not something that I would have purchased on my own, someone gifted it to my family. The icing looked very good so I excitedly waited until after the ball dropped to have my piece. In fact, immediately after the ball hit 2021, I ran to the kitchen to cut the New Years Pretzel and dig in!We were given the Nut variety of the New Years Pretzel. This was essentially an iced nut roll in the shape of a pretzel, which of course I wont complain about. The icing was in fact fantastic, and it had an excellent sweet taste. Frankly, it made the entire pretzel. The nut roll-like component was pretty tasty, but the dough was a little dry. Nevertheless, this was a tasty way to usher in 2021 both at 12:01 AM and for breakfast this morning!

I am so happy with our wedding cake! Not only was it absolutely beautiful (they helped me design my own cake with gold glitter, lace, and pearls) it was DELICIOUS! We had two tiers of white cake with Euro Raspberry and Mango fillings. The cake was soft and light, and the fillings were light and so delicious. Such a delicate flavor. The middle tier was a spice cake with cream cheese filling. I did not expect to love the spice cake as much as I did. We didnt have any leftover spice cake (well we had one piece lol). My stepdaughter amazingly enough ate so much spice cake, and shes a chocolate loving girl. The cake was perfect. Thank you Bethel!

I’m not a huge fan of bethel bakery, unfortunately. It’s so close and would be convenient! The glazed pretzel doughnut was good but I tried the cookies (not enough chocolate chips and too dry) and cinnamon roll. I’ve been to a few other bakeries that take the cake.

My wife and I were recommended Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake by one of our vendors and WE LOVED OUR CAKE! From our first initial meeting with Nicolette, we felt very comfortable and were not pressured into choosing any options outside of our budget. Nicolette was fantastic in suggesting certain designs, flavors, and colors for our cake and she make the entire process fun and relaxing! Did I mention that the cake tasted amazing!?!? We chose a three-tiered cake with multiple layered batters and filling, as well as three backup cakes. The price was very reasonable and I was blown away with Bethel Bakery’s professionalism and expertise. Throughout the entire process, Bethel Bakery made our experience stress-free and fun. My order didnt work out with another bakery 5 days before I needed the cake. My sister found Bethel Bakery online, was able to order the novelty cake, and call to change the color of the details, all within 20 minutes. We were very impressed with their ability to accommodate us and the customer service was excellent. The cake was beautiful, and delicious! It was extremely fair priced, ready on time, and served with a Happy Birthday from the counter person! Great experience all around!

Best birthday cakes custom made or right of the track My family has been going there since the early 70s and they have kept the quality of their cakes despite their growth. Great staff and an unbelievable assortment of cookies, pies and award winning creme filled doughnuts. And it smells fabulous in there!

I have been getting all my special occasion cakes from Bethel Bakery for many years. They include high school graduation, birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, and most recently, my grandsons baptism. They are not only beautifully decorated, but taste incredibly delicious. Even more convenient for me is the addition of the North Strabane location. If you want to impress, this is the place to get your cakes!

We had a lovely experience at Bethel Bakery’s Wedding Cake Shop. The inside feels like the wedding area of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Samantha is fantastic to work with. At our tasting we loved the European Raspberry filling and the cherry mousse.

I cant say enough things about how much everyone loved the cake at the wedding. Our cake design was incredible and instead of flowers cakes were our centerpieces. The cake tasted as good as it looked. They are very professional and affordable.

Parking is a cluster. Nice place as it is a little neighborhood destination, but it has been losing its luster. The joyful friendly staff seems to have been worn down by the pandemic. Its simply an average experience now.

Purchased a 9 white raspberry cake, and it was not the freshest cake. Very pretty, but the cake was dry. I was told their cakes are not baked daily. Ive purchased this cake several times in the past, but thought it may be better this time.This review was in error. It was meant for another Bakery. My mistake. I have no complaints about Bethel Bakery.

Your “lead staff” was rude and very impatient with me... after simply not understanding the “rules” this place a joke $1.25 for tiny cheese cakes, the other flower and water cookies were a dollar, you could make dog treats out of them and it would be safe; however, they would turn it down. So sad for a place we used to love go down hill so fast.

Bethel Bakery was great to work with throughout the whole process! We had two meetings to create a custom cake design for our wedding cake with 3 different flavors and 2 fillings. It was delicious, and didn’t have much left over! They also delivered the cake on site to us, which was helpful.My two qualms with using them was that our Glütenny order for gluten free items had half of it missing (so we ended up with a gluten free table with only 6 cupcakes when we ordered cupcakes and tarts), and they used gold instead of rose gold for the cake coloring as we discussed in the contract. I would suggest reviewing all details with them a week prior because I feel like we wouldn’t have had these issues.

Im only giving one star for the interaction I had with Deb the lead cashier there. She was very rude and condescending.

Strict discipline is required to order exactly what you need from Bethel Bakery. Anyone with weak will power may find themselves in a predicament of ordering far more scrumptious delicacies than is safe for humans to consume.

I’m always happy with whatever I get at bethel bakery. We ordered a cake for Christmas Eve and I know it is a crazy busy time for them. It was so beautiful I didn’t want to cut it. The sticker on the box said it was made by Hannah. Beautiful job Hannah!

I bought a birthday cake for my sister and it did not meet up to my standards. it was supposed to be a vanilla cake with pink icing. i received a chocolate easter themed cake instead. in the first bite i pulled out a short dark brown hair. i’m truly disgusted.

Great bakery,a little pricey

The smell when you walk in is amazing. We love their lady locks. The mini ones are r3ally good but they sell out quickly. My favorite cake to order from here is a almond covered, almond batter, non tore cake. The almond slices are baked and sweetened. It covers the entire cake. Have not been able to find anyone who can make it the way they do.

This place is pretentious. The cake is dry and the icing is flavorless. The others items are no better. The hype is not warranted. Do yourself a favor and get a box of cake mix and a can of icing. 100 times better. And the prices??? My friends recently paid $180 for a small cake. And it was absolutely horrible. Dont buy the hype.

Ok. So due to COVID exposure we have a last minute cancellation. Not asking for our money back just asking them to NOT bake the cake because it’s a sheet cake and we don’t have any way to store it. But because of their 48 hour cancellation policy they can’t not bake the cake because a TICKET has been printed. What a terrible business policy. We’re not asking for money back, just asking to postpone a couple of weeks. But no, they’re going to force us to pick up (with COVID I may add), an entire sheet cake for a memorial party (for my deceased sister) that no one can eat. That’s insane and asinine and really poor business. I will NEVER order from them again and I will be sure to let everyone know never to order from your store again.

Bethel Bakery was amazing to work with for both the Grooms cake and the wedding cake. The decoration on the Grooms cake was EXACTLY as we had pictured it (see picture), and tasted amazing. The wedding cake was beautiful and also delicious - we had many compliments on the cake. Bethel Bakery was easy to work with, so friendly, and answered all my questions on the phone and via email. They were easy to schedule a tasting with, and allowed us to have two unique flavors of cake.The only downside is that they are more expensive than other bakeries, so we did go over budget in this category. However, the cake was delicious and we had great customer service, so that might have been worth it.

I used to come and grab a cake for special occasions, or when I was around the area. Unfortunately Ive absolutely had enough of the snarky attitudes from the employees. So rude, inconsiderate people. I refuse to give them my service anymore. I dont support businesses who arent friendly to their customers. I refuse to pay top dollar for average cakes sold to me by cold, miserable people. Giant Eagle Toasted Almond Tort is better, more affordable, and also chances of getting better service and a smile is much higher. Absolutely done.

We went to Bethal Bakery to have a wedding cake consultation. We loved the flavors and we choose Bethal Bakery to make our wedding cake. Highly recommend, it was a fun process and explained in great detail.

This has always been our favorite bakery up until now. We ordered a large cake with the buttercream frosting and although it was beautiful and perfectly lettered and decorated—the frosting and cake was lacking. The frosting tasted horrible-like flour. This had always been my favorite frosting-often joking that I would be happy with just a container of it and nothing else. Not the case anymore. The cake batter was also tasteless. I don’t know whether it is a different recipe, lower quality ingredients or baker but not the same. This has been my annual birthday cake for many years but sadly I will go elsewhere for future cakes. Very disappointed...not looking for reimbursement or sympathy-just voicing my honest opinion. Also, our other family members feel the same way after tasting this cake. I’m sorry I had to place this review but for the price of this cake, it was definitely not worth it.

Im having this bakery bake my wedding cake! They were very friendly staff, and very helpful. From my tasting, I can say that their cakes taste good! I wouldve liked to have a glass of water to wash my palet between cakes! They listen carefully to your requests, but there are extra costs for almost everything! I geuss it helps, because if you really dont want anything extra you dont have to pay for it... but some of the things they charge extra for is a little bit unnecessary. Overall experience was very pleasant, and I would definitely recommend to friends.

I went to get my cake on the 2nd @ bethel bakery washington RD an i was trying to tell the lady that i wanted 2 names on my birthday cake! Robby for my cat who passed away on january 21st an robbie (thats me) to celabrate his life an myself for making it to 57! Someone overheard me odering my cake for my cat who passed away an generously paid for our cake! she told the cashier to please give her condolences for my cat passing away. It was the most heart warming exsperience ive had in a very long time! I wanted to thank whoever it was who paid for my cake an made my birthday even a little bit more special!

They were the only bakery around the city that agreed to make me a classic Swedish princess cake and it was perfect. Definitely recommend this shop for specialty cakes and treats 10/10

I visited late in the day and there wasnt much of a selection. I bought a chocolate and yellow batter cake with buttercream frosting. It was delicious. The sidewalk in front of the door is being replaced.

Tried for the first time a few days ago for a friends birthday and was actually disappointed.. The cake had around a quarter inch of icing around the cake ..The actual cake was hard to get too through all of that. And not very flavorful.. Especially the icing...

Went 1 hour out of my way to stop here. Cannot say enough good things. Staff is wonderful. The buttercream doughnuts were amazing. Peach pie was very fresh and delicious. Everything we bought was very good! My nephew loved the Terrible Towel cookies I bought him.

I will never purchase anything from this establishment ever. They were included in our wedding package. I, the bride, made it very clear that I have a red food dye allergy. I specified that we did not want to taste anything that contained red food dye. Arrive at the tasting and my husband and our friends get plates of various cakes, fillings, and icings. Ones that did not match the inventory I previously emailed to them as they requested. I, the bride, was given a slice of almond cake and a mini cupcake of white cake, with a sample of their white buttercream. The woman in the tasting was not very accommodating.Since I was unable to taste multiple cakes; we went with almond on two tiers and orange on one tier.Fast forward to our anniversary, when we’re excited to cut into our cake. They provided the orange cake that I cannot eat.Thank you Bethel Bakery for making me unable to enjoy my own wedding cake because you fail to listen to your customers!!!!Never again, never recommend!!!!

This bakery is the best bakery ever, the people is nice & friendly & the baked goods is so fresh.

We needed a cake very last minute and were hoping to have a picture on the top of the cake along with some subtle decorations. We called a few other bakeries in the area and none were willing to do it for us on short notice EXCEPT for Bethel Bakery. Not only were we thrilled with the service we received, the cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing. We will absolutely come back. So impressed by their willingness to accommodate on short notice and go above and beyond!

I hadnt been here for years and years. Then I stopped in this Saturday afternoon while visiting family. This bakery has so much awesome deliciousness at such a good price. We bought a dozen cupcakes, and it was only $12 for 12. And everything we bought was so fresh and tasty. Recommended.

The delivery person who brought our cake to the venue broke our cake topper and didn’t tell us. We bought a specialty cake topper and it was broken on our cake when we went to cut the cake. I was very dissapointed that no one reached out to apologize or even make us aware. We did love the consultation and the actual taste and look of the cake was lovely.
