I sent an email to Farrow and Ball regarding a technical question about their paint system. I received no response after waiting for 4 days. I then called their store in Berkeley and they could not answer what I consider to be a fairly basic question about their product. I was then given a number to call that was their technical department. My question was, can I use Farrow and Ball over an oil based glazing putty, or, if not, will Farrow and Ball Primer/Undercoat paint over an oil based primer?. They had no idea. The best the technician could come up with was, I would leave everything to set for 28 days. Who is going to leave putty and/or primer bare for 28 days? They dont know their product. These products are clearly a fashion item rather than something serious.
