Over ten years ago, I filled my CO2 tank for $12. I remember but going up to $18. Today, it was $71. I dont know if this is because Atlas is no longer an independent, local business, but OUCH.

The folks that run this place are always helpful. They’re willing to help with any sort of question you might have. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’re open to considering special orders to meet your needs.I was stuck in traffic trying to get to them on a Friday afternoon and even though I showed up 2 minutes till close, they logged back in and let me get a few cut off wheels.I will be returning. Thanks y’all!

This place used to be great, but gets worse every time a bigger company buys them. Prices go up. Inventory goes down. Employees are still pretty helpful, but not much they can do.

The staff here is so friendly and knowledgeable; STELLAR service. I love this place! Just found out that there is a location closer to me. It’s been great coming here to switch out my acetylene tanks and get the supplies I need for my work. ❤️

This place is great. Friendly and efficient. I go to Atlas for BBQ propane tanks and also CO2 for my beer tap. Closes early on Saturday and closed on Sunday!

Airgas Berkeley is an awesome store. Great customer service. They may not always have it, but the gentlemen at the sales counter will always go out of their way to help locate what you need. Even if it means referring you to the competitor. Its too bad their sister company, Red D Arc, across the parking lot, refuses to operate with the same values. Customer service is non existant at Berkeley location. The branch manager at the Berkeley location has absolute zero people skills AND possesses even less knowledge of the equipment they rent on a daily basis. I highly suggest either doing business with the Sacramento location or going to Herc or Cresco or any other rental facility. This location clearly is not Red D to provide the customer service that every customer deserves.

Close by and appropriate for refilling oxygen tanks. They seem friendly, but extremely inefficient. In order for my small tank to be filled and pressure tested it took 2-3 months, so they kept on charging me for the oxygen I had to borrow in case of an emergency. After paying for services at the time of drop off and at the time of pick up (for the oxygen I had never used), they never responded to my complaints of additional monthly charges that they billed. At the end, I just paid it and promised myself to avoid this place in the future.

The worst customer service. Took our custom owner bottles then told they did not have them...had to threaten to call police to get our bottles back... Charged us doubled the price for oxy. STAY AWAY

Called at 11 saying I would come by and when I drove by at 11:59 I saw someone closing the gate and when I looped around there was a note that says lunch back at 1:30Guy on the phone didnt say anything about lunch, neither does their website. Total waste of time and horrible customer service

Before the review, here are a couple of notes:1) Store entrance is of 2nd st and cannot be seen from Gilman Street (which is its official address)2) Visible signs both on Gilman Street and Frontage St are for Red-E-Arc welder rentals, not for Airgas!OK. Staff very helpful in suggesting ways to compensate for my poor vision while welding and pointed to a few products - at very reasonable prices!

The Counter Man is Direct, but, also very helpful. He got me helped the persons ahead of me completely then turned to me. I was purchasing a CO2 tank. He explained why they use a buy-in system( they take over maintenance of the aluminium tank) and charge for the gas on swap. He also gave me the correct seal to prevent leaks and gave instructions to proper hook up. The CO2 is beverage grade, totally clean ( they make their own). We also talked about the Oakland location on 4445 Jensen St off of High near 880. It moved across the street from 4442 Jensen and its Closed on Sunday.

Cool guys. I always like coming in. I just wish they had more parking. Way better than Praxair and AirGas.
