These little baby pancakes are OBSCENELY good! A perfect little pancake half stack is all it takes to make life enjoyable, although you may end up getting 2 more orders. The chorizo scramble is the PERFECT breakfast order. The service is so damn fast and their coffee is a delicious refuge from all the local bitter coffee spots. I went here for the first time on yesterday....and then again today.
This a great place for really good food and coffee. When I went there yesterday I had a delicious Mocha with whipped cream on top. For breakfast I had Corned Beef Hash, and Hollandaise Sauce on the side--which was yummy!!!I sat outside at a table and watched the world go by as I enjoyed my breakfast. They also have indoor seating, and take-out.
I had a smoked salmon scramble with roasted potatoes, sourdough toast with house sauces.The scramble had cream cheese and chives and was soft and fluffy. I enjoyed the taste and it had the right balance of cream cheese and salmon. The potatoes were a good portion, but could have used seasoning;however, applying the house sauces helped in this area. There was nothing remarkable about the toast. It was a little over toasted, dry and only one piece that was the end of the loaf. The sauce were good.

Great food. probably the most consistently good breakfast place Ive found in Albany/Berkeley area. Pancakes, french toast, eggs, everything is solid. Lunch menu is good too! Highly recommend.

The food here is excelent I had the crab cake benedict and the warm rich egg yolk contrasted well with the cold sweet aoli.

Its like walking into an old friend or relatives home. Very friendly, welcoming, and warm staff. Smiles fill up the cafe. Delicious coffee, latte, espressos etc. Beer and wine is also available with a pending license to serve cocktails/spirits in the near future. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Fresh fresh fresh! Words cannot describe the quality and flavor that bursts with each bite. Bring family, friends, and anyone visiting from out of town. It is conveniently located off of the I80. Only hiccup is that parking can sometimes be a hassle.
We stop here often for the delicious jerk chicken lavosh. Today, I tried the roast chicken dinner, and it was equally good. Juicy, large chicken half with tasty lemon pepper seasoning. Highly recommended.

Ive been going to this spot for over a decade, though the name and management has changed they still have the best silver dollar pancakes Ive ever had. We went here for family brunch this time. My wife ordered Crab cakes eggs benedict (A) I ordered brisket scramble (C) it was more beef stew with an egg on top. Boys had 3 ordered of chicken & waffles (A) 💣
They got my take out Order wrong twice. Tried to charge me twice and the woman behind the counter had major attitude!! All my 9yr old daughter wanted was her favorite chocolate French toasts!
Ive only gone for breakfast here but its one of my favorite breakfast places. Staff is friendly and service is quick. They have a good variety of options on the menu - never disappointed with what I order.

Loved it! They were so nice to cook me an omelette that was not on the menu - my only critique would be that the potatoes that came along with the omelette were not warm. I understand if they had already been pre-cooked but when I received my food they were more on the cold side and I would have preferred them hot... Other than that, great food!

They overall have consistent food. Its mostly all edible, not great, not something to jump for joy about. Requested crispy everything. Didnt come that way. Sent back & this is what I got back... A greasy mess. Potatoes reduced in quantity & not crispy. Want asked what kind of toast either. This is almost as bad as that time I ordered the lamb that came disgustingly cold. Anyway, I took a few bites & thats it.

Super friendly staff, outdoor seating available. Their food was fast and delicious, I had the eggs benedict on sourdough and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Tried their Chicken and Waffle specials and it was on point! Cute little spot open till 8 pm, surprisingly. Most of the brunch spots close at 2 pm so we happened to chance upon this joint. Highly recommended.
The burgers are great and inexpensive compared to other places. The caesar salad was good. Parking was easy.

I’ve only had their chicken sandwiches and they are AMAZING! So amazing that I’ve driven an extra 30 minutes just to go get them. I brought sandwiches to a few friends and we all agreed that they are very good; moist, tender and super flavorful.

Was getting a tire fixed across the street at Dons when we went here. Got the crab cakes Benedict, which was delicious. Also ate outside because the weather was nice. Great food, speedy service, good coffee. Im not in this area very often, but will definitely return when I can.
New to Berkeley and picked up lunch to-go. They had my order ready early and definitely the best lunch Ive had in a long time! Ordered a Falafal wrap and a lamb sandwich and it was to die for! Couldnt recommend enough!

I frequent this restaurant at least monthly. Great for meeting friends and family. Staff is super friendly and attentive. They food is always good. Especially the pork chop and the burgers. So tender and juicy!
Its surprisingly pretty good. I think its worth the south, and price for some of the options. Over allots very nice and yall should check it out once in while.

Terrific corned beef hash, slightly different than others, more like a frittata. But oh so delicious. Order at the counter, everyone very friendly. Good, big cups of strong coffee. One of my favorite breakfast spots
Ive been here a couple times and theyve been pretty good. Their BBQ pork sandwich is good and so is the eggs Benedict. But their lamb shawarma was disappointingly bland.Its still a nice place if youre in the area. Pretty quiet during lunch and breakfast time on weekdays. But I wouldnt recommend going far out of your way to come here.

Wild mushroom and goat cheese omelette and brisket hash are yummy. The 3 for $12 mimosas was also a good deal and we were able to get one of each of the 3 flavors. I appreciate the quick and friendly service. Would recommend stopping by.

It says breakfast served all day on the site and out front. We went at 4:30pm on Sunday and they informed us they were no longer serving breakfast. Maybe you should be a little more clear with your advertising because last time I checked 4:30 was still during the day.
I just love this place. The food is always great! Im a little disappointed that the menu of the day, no longer includes a glass of wine. But the cost of their wine is reasonable. Overall, a good deal for great food.
Peaceful, tasty, chill. I came here stressed from traffic and left feeling centered and relaxed after dining with a friend. Fish & Chips and beet salad are fresh and well made.
A little expensive, but then I think that of most breakfast places that I enjoy. I just got a bagel and cream cheese for something like $3.50, which was fine. But all their food is good, and their silver-dollar pancakes are a joy! Coffee is very good too.
The perfect portions at the perfect price! This place is just the spot for visiting tourist to get a good taste new cuisine while still having comfortable options for less adventurist appetites.

What used to be Jimmy Beans is Lama Beans and nothing has changed here. The same delicious silver dollar pancakes, chorizo scramble (with the delicious sauces on the side) and unlimited strong coffee. After many years it was nice to come back to a local restaurant that has been around for a while.
A lovely brunch place with rotating specials and a nice selection of meals from pancakes to chorizo scrambles. Often busy, but rarely a line. Just walk in, pick a table, and order at the register when you’re ready. My wife and I have tried their more upscale three-course dinner specials on an anniversary and it was wonderful, but we speak mostly for their more affordable $12-15 brunches which we love.
Nice local spot for breakfast. I tried their corned beef hash and it was yummy, but I would have preferred a little more meat and less potatoes. The plus side was that I ordered my eggs over-medium and this is one of the rare places that cooked them properly! Not too runny and not a solid yolk. I saw others order the Benedict and Im planning to come back to try it.

I came here on a whim at an odd time (after lunch/ before dinner) so it wasnt busy at all. I sat on the patio with my dog and ordered the beet salad (def recommend) and soup of the day (butternut squash soup-a little bland, and not too exciting). Coffee was mediocre, but the service was excellent and I would love to come back and try some other menu items when Im feeling hungrier. Prices are very reasonable!!

Amazing little spot. Met with Mom for lunch and walked there from UC Berkeley shared services...Food was exceedingly good. Had the pepper steak sandwich with avocado and opted for a side ceaser salad. Salad was the best Ive had in a while, exemplary... As was the steak sandwich.With a name like Lama Beans, one could assume (especially in Berkeley) to expect to find vegan fare. But my mother would never do that to me... They have specials daily with many specialties both lunch and dinner.Will be going again!

My favorite place in the East Bay. Fixed price option every night is outstanding. Staff is delightful, the menu creative, location convenient. Park at Dons Tires at night and on Sunday.

Pork chop and chicken were tasty & juicy and tender, pizza was fine, and I stole half the kiddos fish sticks they were tasty and crispy. The fish from the fish and chips wasnt great though - maybe a fluke or just Saturday not a good day to order it?
I came in for a small breakfast and was surprised how casual and crowdy the place is. The menu looks great and the coffee is free refill. They have evenings with special food themes and I can see on the happy crowd how popular the place is. I definitely hanged here longer than I thought and will come again.
