The representatives in the store were friendly and helpful when it came to picking out a mattress, and they offered me a great deal. However I cant recommend this place based on my experience of the transaction. Beware the payment plan, which is nothing more than them opening up a Synchrony Bank credit card in your name to the tune of the maximum amount of your current creditworthiness. Depending on your current situation, the hit to your credit rating might cost you more sleep than the mattress gained you. They were not at all transparent with me that that is what they were doing, which makes me pretty uncomfortable. Great mattress though, should have bought it with cash.

Zack and Cynthia helped us get an amazing price on a king sized bed for our new house. I went in with a budget that was tight, and Zack worked to find a way we could have a great-looking, well-made frame and the kind of mattress set we wanted. I shopped around after getting a quote, and no other place came close to the price we got. When we went back a week later to buy the bed, Cynthia was working instead, and she was able to look up the deal wed been quoted, and made sure the price was honored.The bed was delivered the next day, on a Sunday no less. The delivery window was short, so we didnt have to wait around all day. When the truck arrived, Joey and Victor, the delivery men, got the bed set up and assembled where we wanted, even trying a couple different spots to get it right.The delivery mens professionalism showed everywhere, from their uniforms to the cloth shoe covers they used inside the house to keep the floors clean. They even had a little red carpet to protect the doorway. They were friendly, professional, and quick. Top notch!Id buy another bed from Mattress Discounters any day.

When I and my mother came in to get a simple metal bed frame we decided to upgrade to a head and foot incline frame because of the excellent customer service and knowledgeable salesmanship of Khalil. I went in knowing what I did and didnt want. George, out of the Berkeley CA store, listened to me and narrowed down the mattresses from the vast array in the store. I tried out several and quickly had an either or choice- George helped me make my final choice. It was great. He really listened to me, didnt try to up-sell me and that made me feel much more comfortable. I was so happy when I left and I realized it was because of Georges great help and not feeling pressured. I am a long time Sleep Train customer, and I was reminded again why. He is an amazing store manager, listens carefully to your needs, and spends time helping you find what you need. I was extremely satisfied with his help, and the quality of the products that his store offers, and strongly recommend anyone who needs a comfortable mattress in the area to pay a visit to Sleep Train Berkeley.

Superb experience. Didnt expect such a great experience at all. Hessie, the host, very kindly asked about my preferences and had me try on two mattresses. Then I found a great fit. Hessie is not really selling a mattress, but is offering the best advice from my standpoint.

This is one of those places where a future customer is treated with very professional sales reps in their best behavior and with their undivided attention. They will go to any extent to make the sale happen, even if that means they reduce the price up front and then charge it in a different way back to you.Something similar happened to me on August 5, 2017. The price was reduced as I was about to walk out of the store by $50, but the free delivery got replaced with a delivery charge of $50. Unfortunately I noticed it only after I made the payment and walked out of the store.. I then walked back to store in 5 minutes and told them that I wasnt aware of the delivery charges and that I will pick up the mattress myself. They gave me a new receipt for the reduced price and told me that it will be refunded in 5 to 7 days. And that I should contact them if I dont see it refunded by the time I pick up my mattress.However, I had a very different experience where I got their to pick up the mattress myself on August 12, 2017 at 10am. I met with a sales rep who had no idea what he was doing and gave me a wrong mattress. He first pointed me to a queen mattress while I had purchased only a twin. He then reached out to George who was busy with a future customer with his undivided attention only to get a response that the mattress is there somewhere. The sales rep finally gave me a twin mattress and I loaded it in my van.While loading the mattress in the parking lot behind the store, I found the mattress tag and noticed that its different mattress (it was HR 340 while I had purchased HR 300). I walked back to the store and I told him about it. He then went abruptly into my van and pulled it out in hurry as if I was shoplifting or something. He then finally found the correct mattress. I was about to load the new mattress, I got literally yelled at saying it was my fault that I loaded the mattress in the van without signing some paperwork that I even didnt know. I was a bit frustrated dealing with this sales rep who knew nothing about mattresses, so I wanted to talk to George real quick and only to remind him bout the refund. This is in fact something they had asked me to do (to remind them) while picking up the mattress.George was still busy with the same customer with his undivided attention and he didnt want to talk to me even for 30 seconds. When I told that I am willing to wait, George took 2 minutes to explain me why he cant talk to me. He then started making faces with other future customer making references clearly about me. I then just wanted to leave my cell phone number such that George can call me back when he gets free and he wasnt even ready to listen to that. Somehow they agreed to have my cell phone number and George finally called me back at 6pm only to tell me that the refunds are completely out of his control and that he just cant tell me when it may get even processed by their corporate office. He cant say whether its 21 days or one month.I am writing this review on August 20, 2017 and I am afraid of calling back them as I will be yelled at again and I am still waiting for the refund to show up.
