This place is the work of honesty and craftsmanship. Rare to find both these days! Came to Shattuck Auto Collision after someone ran into my fender. It’s a classic from the early 80s so I was worried about finding paint and parts to match the original.Jim provided a quote on the spot (which was surprisingly reasonable) and said it would be good as new in a few days. He called regularly to report on progress - when parts arrived, paint applied, and car ready for pickup.When I arrived I was shocked. The car looked as if it just rolled off the factory floor. They should be proud of their work. I’m a 110% satisfied customer and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Trust these guys/gals, they’re artisans.

I got a repair on my friend fender and had an outstanding experience. The estimate was almost half as much as another shop I took it to. The owner really worked to make sure he was getting a good deal on the parts for my Toyota. He was also very prompt and accurate when it came to scheduling and communication. To top it off my car was polished and looking almost new when I received it.

Alex is super great and awesome, I thought I would of had to get something replaced but he was able to remove the dent from my car successfully. He did an amazing job. I highly recommend this place.

Very helpful throughout the entire process from inspection, ordering the replacement part, labor and payment. They work with your insurance and there were no headaches at any time. They gave my van a nice wash as well! I would recommend this shop to anyone in need of auto collision work. A+

Absolutely excellent shop, drove up with questions about a loose door trim and they literally fixed it whilst I waited. The owner is a super nice, helpful guy who researched the exact part if I chose to replace at a later date. Highly recommended.

I have taken my car to this shop for repairs twice now and they do amazing work. They are kind and seem to always go the extra mile. Each time they have washed my car and gave it back to me looking brand new and in a very timely manner. I highly recommend them.

This is my first time Ive been to Shattuck Auto, I found them on Google Maps. I was rear ended and needed some body work. A little frame work, new rear bumper, and a dent removed from the rear quarter panel. First I made sure they would work with the other drivers insurance and they did and from there it was all good. They provided the tow to the shop and had a rental car set up for me. Customer service was great and most importantly my car was fixed when they said it would be and looked great, couldnt tell anything had happened, matched paint perfectly. I hope I dont need collision repair again but if i do Im going back to Shattuck Auto Collision Center.

My only beef is their is no available parking just walking to the shops and eaterys on shattuck street. Foremost at that time it was the absent of Auto repair fumes.

Called about getting a minor repair done. They said they could do it and could get me in the same day. When I told them my car would have to be towed in they said they would need to call me back but that it wouldnt be a problem. 90 minutes later I had to call them cause they didnt call me at all, then they told me they cant service me at all for the week. its like they went out of their way to waste my time

Good and bad. Came in here with a small scuff on the front bumper of my Honda CR-V. I was seen promptly. The woman who received me suggested that I might be lucky and the scuff might just rub off. They rubbed the scuff with just with a cloth and some cleaner, and a lot of the scuff (white marks) actually did rub off! Left behind was a small black (1/4 wide, maybe 5 long) scratch. I was not expecting this to happen and was happy that they had just fixed half of the problem for free. Unfortunately, they then quoted me an eye-popping $850 to repair the remaining small scratch. This seemed absurd.I told them I would get a second opinion. I went to Berkeley Auto Body on San Pablo. The guy there gave me a similar quote, but explained that this was the price for repainting the entire bumper and that they didnt do spot repairs (I wish Shattuck Auto Collision Center had explained this). He then helpfully suggested I try Koehlers up the street for a spot repair. Koehlers offered to do a spot treatment for a far more sane $60 (caveat: result wont look as perfect).I almost went with Koehlers, but decided to first call the Oakland Honda dealership. Turns out the dealer sells touch-up paint kits (in exact color of your car if its a Honda) for $15, perfect for small bumper scratches. Bought the kit to fix it myself.Morals of the story: (i) Shattuck Auto Collision Center cannot be trusted to suggest cheaper alternative procedures if you dont want to pay through the nose; (ii) if youve got a smallish bumper scratch and dont need an absolutely pristine result, first try rubbing it off, then look for somewhere that does spot treatments or buy a DIY kit rather than pay for a full bumper repaint.

This review is for a business called Dent Menders. It rents space from Shattuck Auto Collision Center on the weekends. It is run by a man named Alex. He is amazing. I backed into a neighbors car, and dented it pretty bad. Alex fixed the dent good as new.
