Called them for an alternator, was told they had one in stock so I went down there.They took the old alternator and checked it to make sure everything matched. Swapped the old pulley on after sandblasting it clean, re-clocked the output terminal to match, and double checked the voltage regulator part number. Reasonable price, really good service. Clearly know what theyre doing.

Alternator died on my car, so naturally I was in the market for a new one. After calling the dealership ($300), and a few auto parts stores ($170-$200) I called up this place and they quoted me $120 and had it in stock.I was worried about it being a sketchy rebuild, but I was asking some questions when I was there and they showed me around in the back. They replace all the wear components like bearings, commutator, diodes, rectifier, brushes all in shop. They were super nice about my questions and I had a great experience.

It would be difficult to find a better automotive electrical rebuilder anywhere. I dont buy anywhere near as much as I did in the 80s when I was making a living as a professional wrench, but they are still turning out top quality work for highly competitive pricing. If you factor in reliability, you will be coming out way ahead on cost! At one shop I worked at we cut the comeback rate on starter and alternator swaps from just under 30% down to only ONE comeback in something like 2 1/2 years (crazy-making, huh? But circa 1980, 20% plus was the accepted trade standard and rebuilder business model for warranty returns on rebuilts except for a very few smaller, expert, and reputable shops like this one). One of my specialities was electrical work, but even now for my own cars I prefer an Alternators Unlimited unit to my own work - it will work better and last longer because of their vast experience and attention to detail. Several months ago when I was there picking up a starter for a neighbors modern Toyota van, they were asking the other customer at the counter how that positive-ground generator for his 60s piece of British iron was working out - and he said he was a very happy camper. They know their craft and have always kept up the highest professional and business standards in my long experience.

I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS. I just went here because my husband told me he needed me to get a starter for him. By the time I got there I had forgotten if it was a starter or alternator that I needed. I explained the situation to the guy and he was really nice and said what I needed was a starter. It cost me $80+tx and $10 deposit that you get back if you bring back your old one.Muchas gracias por todo!!!! Have a great life... See you next time!!
