The staff IS very helpful and friendly, and they are everywhere trying to help. The LACK OF INVENTORY been a problem for us many times over the years. 50% of the time, the store does not have what I need: sold out, not in the size, I need, not in the model I need, etc. They also close early.Its a nice, old-school store that may or may not have what you came for.

They’re a true treasure to have here in Berea. I can’t tell you how many times my husband has had to rush over there …for 1 lost screw. We bought all the paint for our church from him.They were helpful & kind

Most of the staff is team oriented. They have a few duds in the group. I recommend this ACE store. Their lawn mower repair team is average to below average.

I ordered a rear tire for my mower two months ago. They gave me a delivery date which they didnt meet. A week later they told me it was on back order. I just got a phone call that it had come in. They did me right and took care of it. With the COVID-19 situation they couldnt have done anything about it. Thanks so much for your help.

I love Ace hardware in Berea! The people are always so helpful, which unfortunately is becoming a rare thing these days. The selections are good, the prices are a little higher than I would like, I like the prices at Walmart a little better, but Id rather spend my money here and help keep something other than Walmart in business, especially a good thing like Ace!

Went into the store and waited at the equipment service counter to purchase a Stihl trimmer. They had what I needed, but I walked out without a trimmer. No one cared to ask can I help you or be with you in a minute. I rated it a 2 star, because at least I was greeted when I first came in! Ive shopped at ACE Berea before and never had that happened.

You will not find a more friendly staff and very helpful. I have bought most of my lawn equipment there, and got help and advise on my chainsaws I’ve been working on. They are people you can talk to and be treated good by. They have great prices and about anything you could need. I’ve made Berea Ace Hardware my go to hardware store.

They had the hollow wall anchors I need but not bluing solution I needed for my whites.

Bought a light bulb for the microwave yesterday, cost $6, the same bulb on several sites on the net was $1.99. Why such a mark up? I find this place super expensive on everything! Need to shop elsewhere!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. 🖓 I went to return some items and was informed by the night manager and an employee, who were both outside the front door smoking, that the credit card machine was down. Because I used my debit card and it was only a $30 return i asked if they could just give me cash back so I did not have to make an additional trip...through the smoke she sputtered cant do that, nope, cant do it, messes up the accounting. I guess accounting is more important than customer service. 😠🖓

Friendly, helpful staff. I never have to hunt anyone down for service, as someone is always offering to assist. I can most always find what I need. Thankful to have a place to pick up needed items besides Walmart.

I like the hometown feel of this ACE. You wouldnt think there would be a big difference between this one and Richmond but they are friendlier here - not that they are rude there - and the store is clean and well stocked.

Always friendly folks, I get most my hardware needs there, anything from plumbing to electrical supplies, lawn and garden.

They had what I was looking for however the tube of liquid plastic I bought once I opened it later that day, was already set up. The employees, well some of them are quite rude.

I am always asked if I need help very fast compared to going to a big chain store like Lowes in Richmond. Their selection may not be the greatest, but they have what I need sometimes when I look.

This is a review for the shop by Ace. I went to The shop to have a routine tune up done on my chainsaw. I asked for a new plug, air and fuel filter. I came to pick it up a few days later after they claimed to have worked on it. They did not do what I had asked. Instead of a new air filter they just cleaned out my old one. What they did was destroyed my old air filter by blowing it completely clear with air. Then they tuned it with the old air filter which was letting in way too much air. I just hope no permanent damage was done. Also they did not bother cleaning the saw one bit or sharpening the chain. And then they charged me sixty bucks in labor. Not to mention that when I came to pick it up and asked them to put in a new filter, they broke the new filter and handed it to me without adjusting the carb. I had to stand around for about a half hour while their mechanics tried in vain to put in the simplest part, the air filter and adjust the carb correctly. The saw is sadly not working properly and now I have to spend more time and money on it. I wont ever go back to them for any kind of repairs or parts. They took my money and did next to nothing. Two stars because they put in a new plug...
