Stopped in on a road trip to stretch our legs, and eat out lunch that we packed. It was a great stop with areas to sit/eat outside, clean bathrooms, very friendly staff, and lots of unique items. From corn husk ornaments, to hand blown glass, to specialty soaps, to wooden bowties, to saltwater taffy, and far beyond- there is truly something for everyone. Highly recommend stopping in whenever you get a chance. Whether you want to spend a few minutes and five dollars, or a few hours and thousands of dollars, this is the place for you.
A nice stop when flying down I 75. Nice, locally crafted items for sale. With a cafe and park like grounds a good place to stretch your legs and get a snack.
One of my favorite places to stop for a break on a roadtrip. Stellar opportunity to browse local artisans work, purchase unique items, & great food in the cafeteria-style restaurant in the back. The portions are substantial, the food quality is fantastic & made to order, and the pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend a pit stop here for lunch on your next road trip.
This place is the only truly upscale rest stop I know. As soon as you walk in the door you know it is a classy place. Not only does it have clean, state of the art bathrooms, but it also has a nice restaurant and an extensive gift shop with hand made/homemade items. Many of the items celebrate Kentucky history and heritage. Pottery is outstanding and there are fiber arts and books. Something for everyone. I make a point of stopping there every time I travel I75 N. Cant say that about any other stop.
This is a nice place with lots of artisans stuff, unfortunately all of them are very pricey. On this trip we drove through the blue ridge mountains and found a place that sells hand made quilts, we purchased one king size for$259.00. At the artisans place we saw them for $500.00. I know that artisans sell their stuff here but they probably will sell more if the prices are moderate.
Big place with lots of kinds of souvenirs you can bring home and enjoy or give as gifts! Some paintings are for sale and you can get tourist brochures and visitors guides on Kentucky. Enjoyed my visit!
This place was very very nice. I was very surprised at how clean and large this place was. Its very pretty and the restrooms are very clean. This is a lot more than just a rest area as the cafe was nice too.
This was a beautiful rest area and artisan center. The facilities were beautifully manicured and maintained. There were many wonderful offerings from books and ceramics, to sauces and decorations. The cafe and grill offered simple sandwiches prepared to order at amazingly cheap prices. My grilled chicken on rye with onion rings was a little over $7. We will definitely keep this facility in mind on future trips south on I75.
This place really is a treasure trove! We thought we would just stop and use the rest area and ended up staying about an hour. It was just what we needed and made the trip more wonderful! There are so many quality crafts and the history that goes with them. The bathrooms are clean and fresh. The small restaurant was serving up some of the best food I have had anywhere, let alone a rest stop! Everyone was friendly and I hope we can go back again soon.
A lot of various hand crafts. We found some things for Christmas gifts. I recommend that you stop there.
What an amazing place. Stopped on a road trip and was quite happy that we did. Clean, nice restrooms and outside sitting/walking areas and amazing crafts from Kentucky artisians, really nice stuff.
Nice place to stop and stretch after being on the road with an extensive gift shop with handcrafted artisan wares.
Visited this place twice when I went on vacation. Very interesting products they sell there as well.
Not only does it provide a beautiful view but you can look at so many local artistic crafts and such.
Very nice shop, has mask mandate
Need a rest stop. Its a little bit of the interstate but good signage. Lots of things to look at and consider buying. Very clean facilities and well maintained.
Great stop to stretch your legs and take a bathroom break. Lovely crafts and works of art for sale. There is also a cafe, but it was closed when we arrived at 2:00ish on a weekday. Fun to walk around andook at the artwork if that section is open. Parking lot is nice and big enough to take a walk if you need to stretch your legs. Beautiful building interior and exterior.
I love this place! The diversity of goods they offer in amazing. I stop there every chance I get. They also host special exhibits that change periodically.
Clean bathrooms! A great place to stretch the legs. Even a good option for lunch. But the quality of the artisan goods has decreased over the last few years in my mind
Wish we had more time to visit! Got there 15 minutes before closing! But it was really cute and lots of talented artists work in there on display and for sale!
What a nice collection of well done art from the area. Some pieces are just amazing!
The selection of handmade crafts is amazing! Beautiful items. The clean bathrooms alone are reason to stop, but the store and cafe were wonderful too.
Worth a visit! We have stopped here numerous times on our way south. We really enjoy all the art and most the pieces are very unique. We also try to stop during lunch time so we can eat at the cafeteria...the food is excellent and the prices are very good. It is nice to eat and enjoy the art at the same time.
This is a beautiful building filled with artisan crafts of all types, nearly all of it for sale. We were very impressed with the level of skill, and saw many unique and beautiful examples of woodworking, pottery, photography, watercolors, textiles, etc. Staff are very friendly and informative. We would go back again when passing thru this area, well worth repeat visits. Opens at 9 so you can visit the artisan center first and then explore all the other shops and artisans doing business in Berea. We came across items here that weve not seen anywhere else, so lots of fun to explore and see what you can find.
Just a little bit off the highway. Clean bathrooms. Amazing gift shop and artisan shop. The bathrooms are at the very back so if you’re concerned about your appearance you’ll want to use the entrance to the left of the main entrance. Courteous staff.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything is made in Kentucky. There are even items made from the local college students. I bought the Kentucky Bourbon balls, Kentucky Moonshine Truffles, Bourbon flavored Chocolate, Coffee Beans, and Gourmet Sauce. I had the Bourbon Balls before and they are great. The saff told me the Bourbon flavored Chocolate Coffee Beans are very good and even one person take them if they dont have time to drink coffee. Its a great place to buy a special gift for someone. Its also a good place to go for a walk.
Beautiful work by Kentucky artisans is on display and for sale. Staff was friendly and were masked. Very clean bathrooms. Great place to stop!
Beautiful crafts, easy parking, clean bathrooms. Great stop on a long drive. Will definitely return.
This was a total surprise I thought I was just going in to use facilities at a rest stop. Way more than that beautiful building lots of arts and crafts definitely worth a stop.
Nice place to eat and listen to the music.
Very impressive! Lots of very amazing art & crafts work available for purchase.
Fine rest stop. Trailer/RV parking zone to left of building. Clean restrooms, lots of beautiful crafts to check out.
Lots of fun things to see. Was surprised to find the cafe still closed. Prices also seemed higher than some smaller shops I saw while in KY for very similar things.
Beautiful place with lots of unique and high quality artwork. Best place to go to find pieces for your home!
Clean. Nice artisan items to purchase or look at…whichever you desire.
Lovely gallery/shop for all kinds of arts, crafts and food of Kentucky, incluing a small cafe serving sandwiches, burgers, limited salad and ice cream. Menu seems to change with time of day, but food was very good, nice dining area provided. Parking is fairly spacious, with 12 RV spaces. Overnight parking is posted as prohibited.
Wonderful rest stop. Clean facilities. Needing to walk through the artisan area to get to the facilities... pretty ingenious.
Nice bathrooms. Cool outdoor areas for picnicking. Some amazing local art to buy. There is a snack bar, but I wasnt able to try it.
Interesting place to shop and its almost like a museum...that you can buy at.
Very nice spot. Theres a little something for everyone here and the prices vary from inexpensive to very expensive. Its a big facility and fun to wander around in.
Beautiful work by local artist.
Nice place to check out. Alot of interesting items to see, & art.
Very cool place to stop. Lots of great art and a nice little Cafe in the back with great food.
Love stopping there. Always friendly and helpful.
Always enjoy stopping here Its all about KENTUCKY Local artist products and eatables. Yummy Ruth Hunts cream candy.
Wide range of (real) arts and crafts. Lots of talent on display.Wonderful, friendly staff.
Very interesting and beautiful place to browse and shop. And a very clean bathroom to use while traveling.
Nice place to stop when traveling. Food, bathrooms, gift shop. Clean and comfortable !
Awesome Place & Very Clean Bathrooms..Close@5pm
Very nice welcome center, always clean and friendly.
This is not a “travelers center” as advertised on roadside signage. Travelers center implies it would be open 24 hours with bathrooms available and the ability to sit parked in the lot for a few hours to rest. Many signs stating otherwise, yet nothing on roadside signs stating it’s hours of operation! I don’t think there should be Blue signs indicating it as a traveler center when it seems to be a learning center and gift shop!
Horrible, unreliable hours. Their restrooms arent even available. Please dont waste your time or gas stopping here. Please utilize KYs traditional rest areas.
Extremely clean, spacious crafts gallery with large open grounds, accessible restrooms, and a restaurant. Similar to the Tamarack in West Virginia, you see the best efforts of local artists and crafters under one roof. Saves time and travel to different galleries, but at higher prices. Its a fun place to browse and stretch your legs, right off the interstate.
I had no idea this place existed. Its a lovely place with fine arts and crafts. If youve ever been to Tamarack, this has a similar feel.
Clean and so many amazing hand made items for sale. Space to walk around outside as well. Great stopping place right off the highway for long trips
Clean bathrooms. Unique gifts. Great stop to stretch your legs.
This place is amazing! The items are high priced, but sure is interesting to browse!!
Great selection. High quality. We went to the Berea Festival on a rainy day and were glad to have an indoor alternative .
The Kentucky Artisan Center is a great rest stop to stretch your legs, look around and enjoy the view. although its a little difficult to find because its not directly off the highway once you get there youll be pleasantly surprised by all the local artwork thats available to view and purchase. inside youll find a place to eat relax have a great cup of coffee and clean restrooms
The bathrooms are always clean, and the art is really cool to look at. They have soaps and small things too for those on the go and its all very cute and high quality.
Great place to stop. We thought it was a rest area but it turned out to be so much more. Super clean and very happy about it. Didnt get a chance to try the cafe but Im sure the food would be good.
This was a quick stop. They have some very nice things.
Filled with amazing handmade art. The employees made you feel so welcome
Very cool place souvenirs, a Cafe and restrooms. Great place
Lovely stop off the highway. Great art and crafted goods to purchase, clean restrooms and great shady places to sit and relax on a long drive.
Great stop off spot! Local artists and crafts to check out. Nice handmade its and enjoyable atmosphere.
Art is varied and high quality. The Cafe was closed.
Love the crafts and great cafeteria! They should consider turning down the music--it is so loud we can barely have conversation at the tables. Otherwise, it is outstanding!
Absolutely loved eating in the little cafeteria - the seasoned fries are delicious. The available art and other knick knacks and tourist curios are fascinating, beautiful, and vary in price so everyone can find something for their budget.
Neat place !! Definitely check it out if you like the arts!
Excellent stop on I-75! Clean restrooms, friendly staff, great gift shop, country ham sandwiches! 👍🏾
Grill closes about 3 but this place is worth making a special stop. Beautiful setting, terrific gift store, spacious and clean bathrooms.
Always do in our way to and from Indiana. Always clean facilities.
Cool place, nice clean restrooms.
Love Maria college and all the artisans. Such an amazing community of support!
Very interesting place. Hope to go back again. Recommended.
Super friendly people. Had a great homemade style lunch and bought lots of souvenirs and gifts. Some items seemed a little pricey.
No need to have to walk through STORES + GALLERY TO USE RESTROOM.
Bought the most beautiful raku fired vase. We stopped here on a whim and Im so glad we did. Amazing selection and variety.
Great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Some of the artisan things for sale were bit pricey.
5-Star rating for the grounds! We didnt go into the building but the grounds and parking lot were very clean. Based on the number of cars in the lot it didnt seem too busy.
Cute place for a little longer stop. :-)
Beautiful arts and crafts on display for sale.
Excellent lunch choice. Food price is competitive but better than McD and made to order and hot.
Looked a little neat stuff but pricey.
