Benicia Safeway is convenient and their employees are friendly. Its nice that they get to know people and have always sanitized their carts. Unlike Raleys, they have went the extra mile during the pandemic. Only thing is the throwing out of cigarette butts on the ground by some employees.

Well Safeway has pulled ahead of Raleys in Benicia. The produce is fresh and clean. Usually have what I need when I need it. Only down side is that it is a small store.

In & out quickly. Got all my stuff. 15 item or less check out line.

This Safeway needs lessons in Customer Service...especially in the self checkout. This place always doesnt have Corona light in stock while Raleys and CVS have them and of you need half and half good luck.This is a 2 star Safeway...or I call this one Barfway.

I visit here at least twice a week. Theres always long lines and not enough cashiers. They never have specific items Im looking for sometimes for weeks. The people who work there are polite but thats not enough. Im gonna start going to Glen Cove Safeway. Its better. Oh I forgot to mention the produce is way under par.

This store seriously has the MOST friendly staff!! They are super helpful and I always have a great experience here. You are rock stars keep up the good work!!!

I really like this Safeway. It seems more personable for some reason from most grocery stores that are turning into automated self check out robot machines. Even though they do have a few of them in there. There is always friendly staff to help.

I went in today 6/12/21 @ 3:19pm to buy an older friend some groceries. I had bought the wrong item, so I needed to return the item. Got to the customer service desk waited a few minutes to be asked if I needed something from that area. The heavy set man with very long hair approached me with an unwelcoming attitude, gave me my refund then asked if I had left the store with the item. I said yes, said to me well then its garbage and tossed it in the garbage, with an attitude still. I got no have a great day, no thanks for coming in today. Horrible customer service.

I appreciate the lower price on meat and chicken. The store is always stocked with fresh produce. The employees wear mask and helpful. 😷

Went in to purchase a specific item, it was there. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Over priced for the selection they have and lack of cashiers. Frequently out of stock on needed items. $5.39 for 2 tomatoes? They were semi-fresh. Foodmax in Vallejo does better than that

The Starbucks employees here make the drinks better than an actual starbucks.

More items goes up compared to nearby supermarket..

Prices keep going up, shelves are always stocked well though, needs more cashiers.

I will definitely recommend this grocery shop to everyone because they have the best and affordable products available. Also, the staffs here are very attentive to all of my concerns. I enjoy the Benicia Safeway. They have excellent sushi to go. A good variety of items. I enjoy shopping here as I have shopped here since the late 1980s. The changes are awesome. Also a story thats easy to navigate. ☺

Never enough checkers checking customers. It seems like the store itself is never cleaned, always filthy. Most of the checkers are pretty friendly.

On Saturday, I purchased a drink at the Starbucks cafe and my barista was Cathleen. She has to be one of the most likable individuals I have ever met! Her demeanor was extraordinarily positive and her presence was an absolute joy! Beyond a wonderful experience!

Had a breakfast sandwich was good was full most of the day, didnt eat my lunch because I was still full 😅

Ive lived in many cities and this Market disappoints above the rest. They are always shortstaffed. They added DIY checkouts and then must have layed people off, so waiting times are even worse now.

I went to the self checkout right behind somebody else and no they did not disinfect it before me but there was a lot of customers in there not a lot of staff. If they want stuff disinfected right they should hire more staff to do it.

When choosing between this Safeway and the larger (Southampton) Raleys, ask yourself which one found itself in the news for failing to follow COVID restrictions -- and then join me at Safeway instead.

The pace at which every employee, especially deli, works at, is appallingly slow. My 85 year old grandmother can make a sandwich faster. Often times every-day items are out of stock. The bathrooms are disgusting. I will from now on be avoiding this Safeway at all costs.

Its noon and they have one person in the Deli🤦‍♂️ Seems like management would add atleast one more when theres a line forming. Id go next door if the restaurant was open.

This is an older small Safeway. Because the store is small and they dont have storage for stock, they often run out of merchandise, especially around holidays. The location is more convenient and parking is easier than at the competition. The prices are also better than the competition but you must be prepared for them to be out of stock on items on your list. The store is clean and employees are helpful & friendly.

Everyone here is rude and kind of only thinks for themselves. Lines are always long. And certain food is always out of stock (donuts).But the cashiers are very kind and talkative. I would recommend going here very early in the morning.

Killer store...the meat dept has a great selection and produce is outstanding...and the cleaning they do is wonderful, carts are clean....I will start comin to town and shopping there...yippee

Safer and cleaner than any gd Safeway in Vallejo. All I want is groceries but the morons in Vallejo always want to start something while you wait in line. Imagine trying to enforce the mask rule in Vallejo. Bah!

Horrible experiences each time I go. Most managers and staff are unprofessional and lack customer service. I live 1 block away and try my hardest to not go to this store. 10-15 years ago, it was not like this. It was my preferred store. I’m sure with the management change it brought a lack of professionalism.

This place usually disappoints. Lines are long and some (not all) staff have poor training in customer service.

Crowded isles and longer lines the most stores, but at least the cashiers are quick.

It is a convenient place to shop. After that it goes downhill. The lines are horrendous. There are never enough cashiers. Then the cashiers get into long drawn out conversations. Which is ok if its empty but when the line is 4 deep need to move the line. The aisle are narrow and then displays are placed in the aisle blocking it up. The veggies can be a bit old and the fish can stink up the front corner of the store. The bathrooms can be rough too.

Its my daily stop before work. The good folks at the deli are always there to assist me in a timely manner. As well as Cassandra at the Starbucks in the store.

Usually great visits, we find most of the daily home needs. Most of the employees are friendly and two of the ones at the Starbucks store are super ! They remember my name and my favorite addiction .

Helpful, courteous & experienced staff. Limited space, but clean & grocery items are usually stocked.

This store always has long lines.... and they discontinue carrying items that customers buy frequently....and theyre always out of stock on popular items.... frustrating!!! On the bright side though... most of their checkers are awesome.

This Safeway has a nice deli and the lines werent too long. The AFC sushi lady was super mice and helpful.

Their price and selection isnt as easy as Walmart, but it is convenient on my way to work during late evenings. The workers are mostly friendly and helpful. Pleasant neighborhood.

This is specifically intended for the Benicia Safeway. After saying this the last several times my family stopped here, I think we have officially had our last visit. There are consistently a shortage of checkout staff to the point where checking out averages more than 15 minutes. On top of frequent out of stock staples items and food past its expiration date, our business is headed elsewhere!

Shelves are really empty. Almost as bad as when this all started.

Short on inventory, only 2 cashiers open, in line for 10 minutes to purchase 8 items and decided to leave.

It seems to be a trend with Safeway to not have enough help at the registers. No self check outside, no Express lanes just 3 registers. I bought 3 items and was in line for 15 mins. Food selection is always complete and good but customer service no good and no way to check yourself out...trapped!

Rude employees. They are to busy gossiping about other employees and then Celeste and Luci had the nerve to get to know tell people that they are to busy to help them. I wanted to find the employee that they were gossiping about and repeat everything I heard .

As a first time visitor to this store, I was very impressed with how clean and easy it was to find items. Very nice!
