The service here is phenomenal!! Ive been here about 10 times now and Im asked if I need help whenever I look lost and get help out to my car!! All the employees smile, are kind, and happy to help! All employees are also very educated about everything they sell. Definitely recommend over other hardware stores!

Fantastic small hardware store. Every Ace is independently owned, but somehow they maintain a level of customer excellence I am blown away by.Go to a HD or Lowes and try to even find an employee to ask a question. Then hope they have any knowledge.At Pedrotti you walk in and someone is there ready to escort you to what you are looking for EVERY TIME! I only have trouble because they just dont have the volume of items at the big boys. But for 90% of my needs they are amazing.Also its just a nice clean tidy store.

I went in for a teeny tiny fuse for my Halloween Town and the staff here is just exceptional. I was greeted quickly and although she was wearing a mask I could tell she was smiling and eager to help me. They didnt have the fuse in stock, but Barbara went out if her way to look up the item and gave me a print out of exactly what I was looking for. She said she would order it for me but shed have to order 25 so she couldnt do that, which is understandable, like I said it was a weird item. But they have a lot of items here and its just so refreshing to go into a hardware store and get help right away!

Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks. Period.

Got paint, plumbing parts, tools, propane, keys, stain, furniture soap, sand paper, lots of screws and nails and other hardware. My wife goes there and gets advice on color of paint and other help. Other stores are as close as Martinez or Vallejo. But no need to go out of town. Always met by a happy face and a hearty “How can I Help you?”.

They do not allow handicap people in their store. Im handicapped and they asked me to leave. I had all documentation and the rude manager insisted that I leave. Do not shop there!!!

Great small-town hardware store. They always have what I need for smaller projects and most home repairs. The service is unmatched by those large box stores, you know the ones. Forget those guys. Shop here first!

Terrible hours! I have shopped here for 20 years and still have the same issue I had 20 years ago! They don’t open until 8:00am. Who ever heard of a hardware store that doesn’t open at 7:00am? I know now if I want to get an early start, prep the day before. No biggie, I’ll go after work. Googled them at 6:05pm....closed. No mention of what the hours are, just closed. Open again tomorrow at 8:00. Looks like I’m shopping big box and out of town tonight! The positive is everyone is so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Your bathroom is clean and your selection is not bad for the size of your store. I would love to see the painting section expanded to include newer paints and education on new techniques. The “rub and buff” products are great and might not take up too much space? I know! You could repurpose that space in the back where you have to go to get something to hang your new picture with? It’s kind of creepy back there anyway! LOL!

Good place for hardware needs.only got 4 stars and its probably not their fault but ordered online and it said it was in store but got a email saying not in yet would get email when ready.otherwise on problems and my order was in less than 4 days.

These people are always on top of it. I have rarely walked out without getting exactly what I was looking for (even stuff that most Hardware stores wouldnt normally have). Everyone from the cashiers to the employees in the aisles are super friendly and helpful. I go here before I even think of going to Home Depot or Loews, definitely give them the first shot! Went here for some home improvement odds and ends. Barbara greeted us, led us through the store to find each item, and gave us advice when there was more than one option. Courteous, friendly, and really knows her stuff!

It is and always has been extremely expensive. This store is the only game in town and they know it. There is plenty of staff who seem to be very knowledgeable of there store stock. The floor and counter help were very friendly and greeted me with smles.

Lives up to the ACE name. Everyone here is beyond helpful. Every time I walk in, within 5 seconds someone has greeted me and asked if I needed help finding anything. If Im there, I know exactly what Im after, and the employees always know the exact aisle and location of what I need. The selection is surprisingly good too. This week I needed a very specific electrical tester, and had already been skunked at Home Depot, which surprised me. ACE had it, as well as several electrical products I would not have thought theyd carry. Previously Ive gotten insanely good deals on DeWalt and Stanley hand tools, so I regularly check in to see when its time to restock on sawzall or razor blades. Im really grateful to have such a great store nearby.

Quality tools and hardware, staff is always friendly and helpful. Sure you can get some products cheaper online or another town over, but you can always count on the staff to provide input to get your project done quicker and higher quality.

Local hardware stores are the best for quick trips. Its always staffed with fridley and helpful associates. They might not have everything I need but I always prefer the smaller hardware store vs the big box ones.

Everyone is sort of helpful in this store. However, I went in for wiper blades for wifes car. Every other store, hardware or automotive, has a book to tell you what size blades to buy. Not here. I was told to go look in the owners manual. Oh well...lost sale for this atore.

I get my two 8 gallon propane tanks refilled. They are extremely helpful as I am older and they come out to my truck get the tanks, refill them, and return them to my pickup.

Pro: free parking, variety of products, helpful staff.Con: prices a bit higher than Home Depot.

One star for the initial customer service....I called Ace Hardware to inquire about their carpet cleaning machine rental. I was told by a young woman the pricing and the rental information. She also offered to hold the item. At this point, I was well pleased with the customer service. I told the young woman that I should arrive to the store in the next hour. I arrived within 30 minutes and went to the cashier area and gave her the story. She went on to mumble about how the last one was just rented. I explained to her that I spoke to (gave the person name again) At this point, she didn’t want to deal with me. This is when it gets worse. I am guessing the older woman, was the supervisor. She absolutely did not want to deal with me. I explained to her the dilemma. She went on to say in a hostile voice, “WE DONT HOLD THESE ITEMS FOR THIS VERY REASON, AND I AM NOT SURE WHO YOU SPOKE TO” I proceeded to mention her name and she totally disregarded. She goes on to say, “well why don’t you go to Raleys and purchase from them?” Wow!!! She was basically trying to push me out of the store. More was said afterwards. But I will just leave it there. I will not be returning to this company and plan to contact the rug company and Ace Hardware about this incident

WAY TO PRICE GOUGE GUY! Being the only hardware store near by gives this franchise owner to right to screw you on price. Ive rarely seen the same sales associates twice in the same 3 months. They go through people like crazy so somethings way wrong at the top. I travel to Vallejo if I have anything major to get. Drop your prices Petrotti. No one likes a Greedy Guy.

They have a good selection for a small store compared to lowes and Depot. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Well organized, knowledgeable staff, friendly service. Most everything you need, typical local hardware, providing everything from faucet washers to paint.

Prices are rather high. They have a solid inventory. Staff is hit or miss. During the Napa fires, the smoke was really bad in town, this place was selling a box of 10 dust masks for $26.99

They have a wonderful nuts and bolts section. Good customer service. Fairly well stocked for a small store. The only negative is their prices are about 20% higher than Home Depot or Lowes. This makes them the pace I go to as a last resort when I need something quickly or the cost to go from Benicia to Vallejo is higher than the item. If the owner would lower his prices to say 10% more, I would likely patronizing the store more for the sheer convenience. I have had the staff tell me they have been trying to convince the owner of that for years. The staff are honest and will tell you if you are being gouged on an item, not so good for the owner but it makes me like the store more. The owner should keep in mind that Benicia is a small place, no sane employee is going to gypt someone when they will likely be seeing the person at the city park, farmers market, coffee shop, pizza joint, or simply walking in downtown. It is that kind of town.

Great service and selection

If I need help on on a DIY project, this is my Go To hardware store. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and, perhaps most important, available. I have never walked into this store without being asked how I can be helped. The prices are higher than Lowes and HD, but the customer service is vastly superior. Pedrotti Hardware is one of the things that makes Benicia special.
