Another good experience with Stark Street, mainly because of Tim. Weve bought an edger, blower, chain saw, string trimmer, and now a Honda lawnmower from Tim at Stark Street and every experience has been a good one.They often get busy and youll have to wait, but each encounter weve had with him at Stark has been worth our time - he always demonstrates the basics of the machines, talks about care and maintenance, and makes certain weve been happy with the product.

I will start by saying I work for the forest service in the summer and on an arborist crew in the winter. So I know about basic saw maintenance, when I called about a question I had regarding an oil screw regulator, I was belittled and disrespected. I tried to explain I was just calling to find the oil regulator, and all Tim could do was belittle me on how it is normal for saws to leak oil and it’s probably because I don’t maintain or know about the equipment. Even if I had no experience running a saw people should not be talked down to and disrespected like that. Please try and gain some respect for people. After having been worked up, I cooled down for a bit and called back to speak with a manager about the employee and it turns out Tim is the manager(or said he was). I honestly have no idea how you can operate a business if that is how you treat people. He did apologize so I will give him credit for that. Also I rarely write reviews but I felt this case needed to be addressed.

I bought a Stihl chainsaw from this location in October of 2020. The gentleman who sold me the saw was very helpful but when I was in the store I asked a few questions to a woman named Laura, she was just plain rude and acted like I was bothering her. At the time it didnt seem to mean much, but seemed unnecessary. When I purchased the saw I bought a six pack of mix to extend the warranty. I havent ran the saw all that much as I have six chainsaws from when I was an arborist for around ten years.Today while running the saw I noticed it was running a little off. I removed the air filter cover to clean the air filter. Unfortunately when I removed the cover I saw that one off the ears on the air filter was broken and had been letting the air filter come unseated. I had never seen this happen in my ten years as an arborist. I hadnt removed this cover since I had purchased the saw new.I took the saw into Stark Street Lawn in Bend to have them file a warranty claim on the saw. I first spoke to a man but he needed to get Laura. Once Laura arrived I explained my situation, she then went on to tell me that I didnt know what I was doing and that I had broken the filter and that she would do nothing to help me, all while being extremely rude.I took the saw another Stihl dealer and explained my situation. The other Stihl dealer gladly filed my warranty claim and stated that it seemed this was an assembly defect.If you are in the market for any power equipment look elsewhere. In no way were they willing to even try to stand behind the product they had sold and were rude in the process. The other Stihl dealer even told me that he had heard of my similar situation happening at this location.

Went in for a new chain. They had it and installed it but the gal that helped me was just rude and not helpful at all. Asked about easy start saws and the response I got was “yeah they make em!” No offer to help find one or who makes them. It was like she didn’t care if they sold anything or not. I’ll gladly pay more to never step foot in there again.

I came in to buy my fiancé a saw and Laura was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the saws to me and was very patient. He loves his saw and I am thankful for the knowledge and service I received to make sure I purchased the right one.We will be back for a snowblower and for all our equipment needs and service. This place is great and we highly recommend it.

I really like this place, Tim and Laura are awesome, Excellent customer service .I had a terrible experience withJason at PAPE` machinery, Ill never go back to that awful place.Stark Street is the only place I go to now . They always have everything I need.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are unbelievably rude and obnoxious. Self righteous is an understatement. They are fear mongering and disrespectful to their customers or potential customers. From yelling and extremely disrespecting elderly patrons to making fools of themselves about the waysomeone shops. They do not deserve your business or your hard earned money. Places like this undermine what small business America is all about. Starks, shame on you and you will always reap what you sow.
