I had fallen out of love with my guitar and wanted something a bit more compact for outdoors playing. Ted gave me a good trade in value and hooked me up with a great little Recording King guitar. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will be buying my musical supplies from Sunday Guitars from now on!

Wes did a killer setup and pickup swap on my Strat, and he only had it for a couple of days. Great shop and place to bring your guitars in for work.

50 year old guitar was cleaned up and restrung in 24 hours.

We dropped off a guitar to be restrung on April 3. They told us it would be ready for pickup the next day, or possibly 2 days later. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, we placed 2 calls over 2 weeks to check on it, still no guitar and we were finally told that it might need some parts, which we declined. We were told at that time that it would be ready the next day and someone would call us. That call never came, so we drove over there to get our guitar on April 20, which was sitting there ready for pickup. Not great service for a very simple fix. At least the strings are much better and the guitar sounds way better than it did before, and the price was less than the original quote.

I recently bought a Bend made Breedlove there on a Sunday! I originally worked with the staff the previous Thursday, and they were fantastic. When I purchased the guitar, I worked with the owner who went out of his way to spend time with me and made sure I got everything I was looking for. Staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I wanted to take up a new hobby in the pandemic and decided to try out a digital piano. As I don’t yet know how to play, one of the staff members happily showed me the various models in stock and played so I could hear how they sounded. I went home with a new Casio cdp-s350! Fun place! Came in to check out ukuleles and left with a beautiful koa guitalele. Tons of instruments and many really nice guitars.. I could have just hung out all day looking at the guitars.. the staff was super friendly and helpful, and my 8 year old son had a blast too.

Ive always loved this place, they have a great selection of instruments, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and it is pretty easy to find what your looking for. And its always cool just to walk around and check out some of the stuff when you go there.

Why is this even called Sunday Guitars?? Guitar selection is terrible. They dont carry anything. Way over priced. Staff was completely disrespectful and rude in regards to the mask mandate in Bend. None of the employees were wearing masks inside. Selfish business practices. Dont waste your money here, there are better shops in town.

This one is pretty straight forward. Customer service was amazing. I went in for my first guitar ever so I can learn to play. Told him a price point and was shown a few options above and below my point. Ended up buying a gently used Jackson and I love it!!! In terms of a shopping experience it was fast, easy and hassle free. He didnt try and sell me a bunch of stuff I didnt need either which is always refreshing. Its hard to find a good honest business now a days but Sunday Guitars is one of em. Ill be back!!!

Took a guitar I bought off the internet there, Les Paul Standard, made overseas. It was way out of wack when I bought it. The Guitar tech there dialed it in to perfection.Highly Recommend

I have never been in a guitar store before, I have to say I enjoyed seeing so many types of instruments all in one place.They seemed to have most stringed instruments from autoharp to ukulele, missing the super out of the ordinary Ubass, but that is not unexpected.I went in trying to learn more about pickups and other electronics needed to build a bass. I figured out quickly that it would be cheaper to buy one. But while I was there they said that they will special order pickups and preamps of a certain brand (it has been over a week at this point so I dont remember the brand) which I found super helpful.Now on to my purchase. I bought a stagg bass guitar, AXL bass amp, and cable. I walked out of there for around $400.The gentleman at the counter knowledgeable and friendly, and the nice lady was super friendly and offered good tips on meditating with music.I have used both of their teachings and am currently much more relaxed and having a lot of fun learning to play the bass guitar.

I have always had great service in the past years! I was very surprised this last visit has not been a good experience. Very unprofessional, no communication on progress of work being done on my instrument. Charged me more then originally quoted when instrument was dropped off. Very frustrated and will look for someone else to work on my instruments from now on. UNIMPRESSED!!!

I will never go back. Worst service ive ever received. I dropped off a guitar for restring and look over, I was told 3 to 4 days maybe sooner. I was not happy about the time frame but i left it anyways because it has a show Sunday. 8 days later and not 1 phone call i decided they dont deserve my money. I went up there on day 5 to check out what was going on. They still left it sit there. I looked at the tags of other guitars hanging on the wall and they were after mine...I would highly recommend going somewhere else for service.

I love this place. Kirk was very helpful (and an amazing guitarist). He answered all my newbie questions patiently and left me to try about every acoustic guitar in the place. He would help other customers, then check in with me if I was still all good. Never hovered. Rare to feel so welcome in a small business. He helped me find pretty much my dream guitar, used, but like new. 5 stars because there isnt a 6!

Months ago, I noticed online that they had an amazing deal on a Getzen Eterna 700 trumpet. Since there was only one picture that didnt reveal the condition well enough, I contacted them asking for pictures, and they responded to me with plenty of pictures, even asking exactly what angles I wanted pictures of. When I ordered my trumpet, they communicated to me all of the status updates that I asked for without any hesitation, and acted very friendly and polite. I received the trumpet and its in perfect playing condition just like they told me it was.

Great guys. Great deals. Great selection. Super Helpful. Highly recommended.I bought an electric/acoustic bass from them and I needed strap post put on it. They took it immediately back and put one on free of charge. A couple weeks later I came back after noticing there was a dead spot on the pickup. They had an identical guitar on display, so we tried that one and there was no dead spot. They told me to take that one, put on another strap post for free again and I was good to go. Then I decided I needed a case for it. Nicholas knew exactly what I needed and called and ordered while I was in the shop. Case arrived in 2 days and I received a call from them immediately. Nicholas also helped me determine what sorts of peripheral equipment I might need for gigging. Hes very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They truly understand that making customers happy is the best way to grow a business. This is my go-to store for music needs.

Sunday Guitars encompasses everything a big box music store is without the travel time, and more. In the few years they have enriched the Bend music scene, they have proven a grass roots shop can compete and in many areas surpass larger, corporate shops. Ted has grown a small guitar shop into the full service music destination in less than a decade. When I was new to Bend, Ted provided me a volunteer spot helping to open the store. For a then homeless person, this was nurturing musically and spiritually. Now, many years later, I happily own 2 guitars, a powerful guitar amplifier and countless smaller items like strings, straps, cords and the like- all from Sunday Guitars. Ive recently had a number of guitar related maintenance issues solved by Wes at a reasonable rate and at times for free! I have Teds shop in mind in my plans to buy a bass guitar, digital drum kit and keyboard. I highly recommend Sunday Guitars! (can you tell?)

Best music store in Central Oregon.

Purchased a guitar in Portland over the weekend. It was in dire need of having the action set as well as the intonation. Well, it needed a complete setup. Took it to Sunday Guitars and they told me it would be done by 3 PM. I dropped it off at 11:00. By 11:45, I was getting a phone call saying it was done. He did a perfect job and it plays like a dream. These guys are amazing!

Bought a Johnson Acoustic Electric for $399. They included a hard case and a new set of strings. Great service. Cultivated selection at good prices.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Spent lots of time with me (total newbie) answering my questions, even though they knew I wasnt going to buy anything expensive. Tuned my guitar for free, gave me a humidifier kit for free. Considering the amount of time they spent with me, they didnt make any money on my visit, even though I did spend $45 on a couple items. The service was great, and they WILL get my money when I buy another guitar.

The best experience Ive ever had in a music store! A locally owned store with a lot of choices in new or used instruments and fair prices. They even gave me a store credit on a guitar of mine in trade! I loved the fact that customers were in there jamming and trying out guitars and having a good time. No pressure to buy, just fellow musicians on the staff offering help if you needed it. Thanks to Kirk for a great shopping experience, and I love my new Breedlove 12-string. It was a used guitar that was still in mint condition. Ill be back!

I was surprised with above-and-beyond service. The first time I came in, they were quite busy and made time for me (and my small purchase) amidst all the customers. They later phoned with info on a potential special order that unbeknownst to me was a last-item closeout. Thank goodness I didnt miss out, thanks to their research. They had great follow-through in letting me know when it came in. They were again busy when I came to pickup and yet acknowledged me, got to me quickly, and completed the transaction above and beyond my expectations. While there, I was able to listen to how they worked with other customers and they seemed like a good mix of knowledge, supportiveness and helpfulness. I would recommend you check them out.
