I worked with Tyler, and he was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and he helped me to solve the issues with my Mac more quickly than I anticipated. I will definitely be doing business with this group again. Highly recommend.
Really poor customer service. Tried to return something from the Corvallis Simply Mac (was told that would be no problem if needed) and it was not possible and the guys in Bend offered zero help. I asked, can we call the Corvallis store? Uhhhhh, no.
Time to move on from Simply Mac - let me tell you why. Over the past few years Ive purchased a MacBook Air and a 27 iMac from Simply Mac. I had the iMac in for repairs about a year and a half ago. Recently I needed to use the USB C ports on the iMac to run a high speed memory card reader. They didnt work, in fact I couldnt really insert the cable. So I took the computer in - the Simply Mac rep inspected it and asked if someone had worked on it since the logic card was installed incorrectly. My response - Simply Mac did that. So heres the good news, they fixed it overnight. The bad news, they refused to honor their bad repair and charged me $200. Wow. In the end, this will cost them far more than $200 because they have lost my business. I have another computer purchase coming up and will take it over to Best Buy where I can get the same computers, same price, and hopefully better customer service and treatment. (On a side note, the microphone on my iMac is super muffled and unusable. I read in an Apple blog that incorrect installation can do that. Simply Mac wanted about $500 to fix that as I recall. No thanks.).
Fast, simple, easy screen replacement. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Confident recommend for iPhone service.
Had a great experience at Simply Mac, in Bend, Oregon. Very personalized care, & professional, attentive management of a complex iPhone issue. Highly recommend this location & staff!
Replaced my keyboard which was under warranty in just one day. Great service!
I totally give up on Verizon-Apple it’s so sad that they can’t fix a small problem but Simply Max did in 7 minutes! I’ll always go to them
Great experience, super nice guys. Fast and prompt same day service of my Mac. Will definitely be back for any and all issues with my apple products.
Absolutely Horrible! Do not support this Business! They did not fix my phone and on my second visit the manager of the store told me to “stop talking”! I couldn’t believe he would talk to a customer this way! I will also be contacting the corporate office!
Never go here, this is the worst service I’ve ever had. When I dropped my phone off they told me 3-5 days until my phone is ready it has now been 32 days and i still do not have a phone. The only thing wrong with it was it was cracked. I’ve called every week and stopped in many times and each time they give me a different reason to why it is not done.At this point I’d take a broken phone back and take it to best buy. These people know nothing about smart devices and I will NEVER go back. Most of the things they’re said are ridiculous and Im over it. Will be talking to a manger about it. HORRIBLE service
DO NOT TAKE YOUR DEVICES HERE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!I took my Apple watch in for repair/replacement upon the recommendation of Apple Support. I was greeted after 5 minutes of standing there waiting for my appointment, then witnessed other people who walked in after me, and didnt have an appointment get served. I then proceeded to wait for 15+ minutes to be helped. I was told 3-7 days to see a device back, but was leaning towards 3 days, as my device would be replaced due to the damage. My device then sat on their shelf for 10 days, while they lied to me multiple times when I called in checking in on my status, and to Apple when they called looking for the device, since a Repair Ticket had not been created. When I went to pick up the device to send direct to Apple, a customer was waiting before me, walked out, because one of the employees was having a personal conversation with another customer instead of helping paying customers that were waiting. The person who helped me was incredibly rude when I asked to verify that it was my device I was picking up, held the device out of reach to see from afar.Dont waste your time or money taking your devices here. Just call Apple Support. Their management team should be ashamed at the level of customer service their team members are providing. I will never use a Simply Mac again as this wasnt the only location I have struggled with.
Had my phone screen fixed through Apple Care here. Awesome staff, incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to get my phone done the same day because they knew how hard it was for me to get on there. Personally recommend them over an actual Apple store. All the accessories and items they had for sale were very fairly priced which is odd for anything with an Apple logo on the front door. They were super good to my pup too.
I called to discuss data migration from 2010 MacBook Pro to 2020 MacBook pro. New manager answered immediately, said it should take about a day. I asked him about negative reviews for the last eight months. He acknowledged problems and said they now had a mostly new crew and that turnaround times were more predictable. My data migration and upgrades took less than 24 hours, as estimated. Staff called several times to confirm passwords and let me know when the job was completed. Excellent service and pleasant experience all around. Also observed all Covid-19 protocols. I have used Simply Mac in Eugene and Bend, and always found them to be highly professional. Im glad the Bend store seems to have recovered to their previous high level of customer service. I will go back. Thanks.
Made an appointment to drop off my laptop that had liquid damage. Waited for about 20 minutes after my scheduled time until someone helped me. Checked it in and went through a $80 diagnostic process. They said it needed a new top (keyboard/touchpad) and it would be done in 7-10 days. I called at 10 days to check in and was told it was on the bench being worked on. Heard nothing for another week. Called four times and left messages the following week and didnt get a response. I finally went to the store to ask for a status update. After waiting another 20 minutes or so (while the three people in line in front of me all left after getting no service), I was told that parts were on order and that they had no idea how long it would be. They then warned me about taking it anywhere else because other places use third party parts. I called another Mac fixer-upper place, which said they could get to it that day. I went back into Simply Mac to pick-up the computer (waited another 20 minutes to get help, watched more people come and go with no help, and waited another 20 minutes for someone to find the computer and get it back to me). I took it to the new place. They helped me the second I walked in and called the following day with a computer that was fixed and cost a third of what was originally quoted my Simply Mac. I would highly recommend NOT going there if you want any type of service.
No help when product fails
Decided I wanted to purchase an Apple Watch Saturday evening. Wanting to shop local and support independent/small business, I waited til Monday for Simply Mac to be open, as opposed to going to Best Buy or ordering online on Sunday.Because of COVID, they have a sign on their door indicating only five people in the store at a time, and masks are required. Cool, no problem with that. Another sign requests you wait for an associate to greet you. Cool, no problem with that. Until, I wait for ~5 minutes, then ask the gal in front of me if anyone has greeted her, and how long she’d been waiting. She had not yet been greeted, and had been standing there for 15 minutes. So I politely holler in, asking if there are five people inside or if we may come in. Gentleman working there says it’s just him working. Sorry but that doesn’t answer my question. I wanted to go in and look at the watches, probably make a purchase. I don’t quite recall the exchange we had, but after he eventually comes over to the door and asks if I have an appointment, to which I reply, “Do I need one?” (Honest question, right?) He answers no and asks why I’m there. I let him know I was interested in purchasing a watch, but now I’m not so sure due to the customer service. So he takes that answer and moves onto the next person as if I’m a lost cause. Well, now I DEFINITELY wasn’t going to be spending several hundred dollars there.Wanted to support local, will just end up purchasing from a big box store I guess. And I won’t be going here ever again.
Has had my computer for a month and still not fixed. They had it for two weeks and I called to see what was going on and they said they never started the repair because they didn’t have authorization to do it. Pretty sure me giving you my computer to fix it is authorizing you to fix it. And maybe you should of called instead of just letting it sit there for two weeks. I will never use them again.
Appreciate the honesty. I went in looking to upgrade to a 16” but after checking my system info he suggested that it wouldn’t be worth the money to upgrade for the minimal performance increase I’d get. I’ll wait for another year and head back for the second release! Definitely earned my trust on this visit!
Terrible. I dropped off my AirPods Pro that had unexpectedly began to make a static noise when wearing them 17 days ago as of 9/19/20. They said I could expect to get a replacement pair anywhere from 3-5 days and I have not heard anything back and my calls never get answered. I have been more than patient. I would recommend anyone to deal with Apple directly for any repair/technical support needs instead of Simply Mac.
Bought a car charger and was told if it ever had any issue whatsoever, I would just bring it in for an exchange, no questions asked.thats how they up-sold me on the charge cord. Fast forward 18 mos, cord is trashed and I took it in to exchange. I was told I had to send it in to the mfg. I pushed back and recounted the sales pitch. The person helping me, who was delightful, spoke with her manager, who told her to tell me there’s nothing that can be done. I pushed back harder. Same scenario played out a second time. Again, the associate helping me was great. Helpful, understanding, but her hands were tied. Finally, after I pushed back once again, the manger came out. No “hello sir.” No “we are so sorry.” He just flatly says to me, “alright, we’ll do it this one time, but next time you have to send it in.” What a tool! That guy has no business managing a store of any kind. If it were not for the great attitude and perfect handling of my situation by his employee, I would never go back into that store again. Mr. Manager: when you make a promise, you deliver no matter what and don’t give your paying customers a hard time about it. Your priority is getting me and my friends back through your doors. You failed miserably, and frankly should be fired for the condescending attitude and unprofessional approach you took with me. If you want my business, you will respect me. I own and operate a successful local business, and would be happy to have lunch with you (your treat) to teach you how to treat your customers. It’s a short lesson. Your employee - her name escapes me - was brilliantly perfect in doing whatever she could to help me. She deserves your job and it would be hers today if it were up to me. If I do come back to your store, it will be because of her. She deserves 5 stars.
I’ve yet to find a time where a SimplyMac store provided any value for apple support. I’ve tried multiple times but am continuously let dow. Apple is somehow able to provide better support remotely than this company is able to provide in-person. Not sure what makes them “premier”.
I worked with Jordan in buying the computer and then with Anderson in transferring info from my ancient computer to my new one. I could not have asked for better service - it was exceptional! Andersons technical knowledge along with his incredible patience and problem-solving skills was superb!! I highly recommend this store to everyone.
Super frustrating experience with this organization. Dropped my iPad off 2 weeks ago to get the screen repaired. The company said it would take 7 to 10 days for a replacement. Called on day 11 could not get a person on the phone so I had to leave a message. Called back on day 12 same deal no answer, sent to voicemail and left a message. Called Apple on Day 12 to see if they could help. Apple does not have my device. My wife goes to the store on Day 13 check the status, my wife was told from Simply Mac that we needed to call Apple Care because Simply Mac doesn’t have any information. At this point I knew something was wrong. I called once again and had to leave a message, shocker no call back. I went to visit Simply Mac to get to the bottom of the problem. I basically told the employee to either provide me chain of custody documentation “Tracking info” or to provide me my iPad. He got snotty with me and said or I could just figure out what is going on. He proceeded to show me his own ticketing system passing that information off to me as “see Apple has it”. I proceeded to ask him for an Apple repair ID or tracking number proving that they shipped my iPad to Apple. He goes upstairs for about 10 minutes to check on it. He comes back down and tells me that Apple never sent them a box, so it has been sitting in his store for the last 13 days. Are you kidding me.? How long would this have gone on if I did not go down and demand answers? So 3 days of phone calls and 3 trips to Simply Mac and 13 days for a 7 to 10 day turnaround all to get my iPad back without a repair. Super impressive customer service, not even an attempt to save me from never coming back, or an apology? I sure hope that Apple reconsiders the relationship with Simply Mac. Worked with Apple support who also tried contacting Simply Mac without a response. I have a brand new iPad coming my way and for the trouble they are waiving my deductible. I should expect to see my iPad in a couple days. Never again Simply Mac. I will ship it myself, or drive to Portland thank you!
Absolutely useless, undependable service team, who ruined my career because that cant honestly give an estimate.
No longer simply Mac. Now a furniture store called City Home
The associate that helped me was wonderful. I would have given 5 stars but they emailed me to tell me that my phone was ready instead of calling the number I gave them. I waited 5 extra hours to get my phone back.
John was the associate who helped me during my iPhone screen repair. The whole time he was nothing but helpful and attentive. He repaired the phone after the next day when the part arrived in under 20 minutes. Speak to him when you go in and you’ll be happy you did. There is another associate who seems “too busy” to assist even with simple questions ... felt like I was a bother in an empty store. Thanks john!
I had a very negative experience with this store. I took the time to schedule an appointment and made it very clear what iPhone I had and that I was wanting to replace the battery. When I drove the 45 minutes to my appointment from my home, I was informed that the battery was not in stock. The clerk who was waiting on me kept yelling at people walking through the door to the point I was very nervous. Then I was told that as soon as the battery came in, I had to come get it within 24 hours. So I had to make two trips in when it should have taken just one. Very disappointed and very uncomfortable in this store.
In the past, I have received punctual, expert and timely turnaround from Simply Mac of Bend, as if I were at an Apple store. Unfortunately, that is no longer true. There are substantial issues at this store, and it appears it is because they are put in an impossible position by corporate management. In short, avoid Simply Mac until they address some major issues.Issue #1: I brought my MacBook Pro in for a hardware issue on October 28th. While still under AppleCare+ (free repairs) terms. I needed it back as soon as possible, so I paid a $50 rush fee. While the fix was done within 48 hours, they neglected to call, text or email me that the repair was complete, costing me several days of work without my primary device. It required me to call to find out the status. I picked it up late on November 3rd. To their credit, they did refund the rush fee BUT they also BROKE the devices camera during the repair.Issue #2: November 5th (2 days after previous pick up) I returned the laptop to them to resolve the issue. I was told to expect a 3-5 business day repair, along with apologies for the inconvenience. The repair was not completed until December 16th. Effectively, I have been out of commission on my primary device since Oct 28th - roughly 11 1/2 WEEKS for a repair that was supposed to have originally taken 48 hours!Issue #3: Over the past 11+ weeks, I have called regularly, left voicemails (4), wrote emails to both the store management and regional directors, all of which went unanswered and ignored. I had to escalate via Apple to get ANY response whatsoever from the staff. When Apple did get a store manager online, he confessed that they persistently have a major backlog and are understaffed - my laptop sat on the shelf at least twice for two- week intervals. This, while I was assured over and over it would be addressed week after week.Last week (Dec 8?) I was told the parts were shipped and in inventory for my repair. This is what the local store posted to their corporate HQ:Logic board arrived on 12/15. Installed Logic board and touch ID.Post repair diagnostics passed. Ran full system OS diagnostics to verify the camera passed.Replacement logic board comes with Newest OS on the built is SSD.Computer is ready for pickup.- DanThese people are liars. How Simply Mac remains the only authorized Apple repair shop in this area is something that should be questioned.Bottom line, do not expect any level of reliable customer service from this location. The lack of transparency, the lack of response for status updates, and the glacially slow turn-around all made the experience painfully egregious.I am hoping in time I will be able to update this review, but these are the facts.Fix this.Update: I got a personal phone call from the newly hired regional director apologizing for my experience. Lets hope my review and challenges will help clear the way for much needed changes at this store.
They are unable to give an accurate estimate of time it takes to service a product. I was given the estimate of 3-4 day for my MacBook and it took 3 weeks.
I came into the store very distressed that my phone wasnt charging (millennial problems). The staff was incredibly understanding and patient as I explained what was happening with the phone, and connected me with their repair expert right away.John (I believe that was his name?) was so great! He tried multiple different things to see why my phone wasnt charging, walking me through the technical aspects along the way. It came down to that my charging port had become a bit corroded (keep your phones away from water!), and my options were replacing the phone for $300+, or purchasing a wireless charging station (only $40). Instead of trying to up-sell me, John recommended the charging station and helped me choose one in my price point.Incredibly impressed with the fast and helpful service. I even learned some new things about different types of batteries!Thank you John (I hope thats your name!) and the team at Simply Mac!
Fast and easy to work with for my repair. Apple Store in California had my MacPro notebook for 10 days and then told me that they wouldnt fix it because I had an upgraded hard drive (nothing to do with my battery problem). Simply Mac ordered the part on Tuesday (and let me hold onto my computer) and the part came in on Thursday. They installed it that afternoon. I had no downtime and the repair cost came in slightly lower than the estimate. THANK YOU SIMPLY MAC.
Our experience at Simply Mac was great. Fast service, good explanation of product, evaluation of old computer to determine what would be best for us. Transfer of data from old computer to new was quick...24 hours. All in all we were very happy with the service and new device.
The tech wizards at Simply Mac pulled off the impossible and got my machine up and running again after some malware and subsequent plists wrecked havoc. They were able to do a data recovery onto a external hard drive and then do a clean reinstall and boom—back in business.I would give 5 stars for miracle working alone, but I am forced to dock one star in this review due to poor communication along the way. This doesnt point to any one particular staff member, and ironically, when I was able to actually talk to someone, they were always helpful and pleasant. But that was the problem—I could almost never get through to an actual human. They had my computer for almost 3 weeks, which can feel like an eternity, and I got nary a peep from them regarding any updates along the way, either online or over the phone, despite my several attempts to get a simple update. To their credit, I finally got a call back once the job was all done, but it would have been nice to have a little communication along the way.Regardless, I appreciated the effectivity of the work, and this is a surmountable issue that is probably made worse due to covid times. Such is life.
My wife’s computer was full of junk and wouldn’t work correctly. She took it to Simply MAC to get fixed. They backed it up onto a hard drive, factory restarted it and updated the software. It’s like a brand new laptop. Additionally, they found out that it needed a new battery and key board, which was all under a recall warranty. Super happy!
Did a good job diagnosing the problem(s). But they need more help as it takes a longer time than I care to see it take. Also one has to set up an appointment to bring the computer in. Should have it set up for the capacity to make an immediate drop, I live out of Bend quite a ways and it would be nice if I utilize a doctor or ? trip into Bend rather than make special trips in on the date they want it.
Each and every time that we have had an occasion to go into Simply Mac either with a problem with one of our apple products or just to inquire about something, the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. So much better than going into an Apple store where weve been ignored by indifferent personnel. Thank you for being in Bend, we appreciate that youre here.
My MacBook Pro needed a keyboard repair. The staff diagnosed the issue quickly and sent the computer off for repair. The said it might take 7 days and it was back in my hands in 4 days. Very friendly and professional. Thanks for the service.
We made an appointment 3 days in advance. Anderson was ready for us on time. We had a PC with our I-tunes library on it. Over several years we purchased 2 I-phones, a I-pod Nano and and I-pad. With each purchase the entire library did not arrive on our Apple product. Maybe half of our 900 songs would be on our new Apple device. And each Apple devise was missing different songs. Within about an hour Anderson had our entire library on each of our devices So happyRon & Linda Gainer
No one answers the phone and there are no available repair slots
I wish I had read all the bad reviews before going to Simply Mac! I took my ipad in a week and a half ago. I arrived at my appointment time, but the techs were all busy. Took about 15 minutes to get to me, not exactly sure they understand how appointments are supposed to work. They retried all the things I had already tried and announced it was indeed broken. They asked me to log in and remove it from the FIND MY PHONE... which we did together and they confirmed. I was told I would have a brand new ipad in 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day so I was overjoyed when I saw they were calling. Turns out they needed me to remove the ipad from Find my Phone AGAIN as something had gone wrong. I asked if my new ipad had come in, I was told they are now going to try and repair the broken one.. .a process they didnt even attempt to begin until the very last day I was supposed to be without an ipad. Now I have to wait another week while they muck about. NEVER... EVER take apple equipment to these people... just send it to apple... WAY faster. EDIT: the fact that these jokers copy and paste the same canned response to every bad review tells you all you need to know... they don’t care.
Very informative customer service. Standing in line and heard a customer go off at a sales associate! Not okay. That staff is so patient and knowledgeable!!!!
Ive always gotten only the best service at Simply Mac at Bend Old Mill.
Literally will go under because of poor service and I don’t feel bad about it. I called in to ask about a problem and said would run down and have them look at it. The shut the shop down before closing time. Thanks guys.
I have heard so many bad things about this store, but I needed a new charger cord. The poor girl that helped me really didnt know anything. They didnt even have the cord that fit my MAC and had no idea when they were going to get them. I understand that supply can get low but such poor service. This was not the first time I have been disappointed in this store. Never going in there again.
Took my daughters laptop in. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and very fast. Great service. Thank you.
I have previously had nothing but excellent experiences with Simply Mac until I took my iPhone 7 in to get a replacement screen on 3/13/20 and the tech who worked on my phone over the course of 8 hours managed to place my device in a state of activation lock. This has unfortunately left me with no phone for 4 business days, which in this case leaves me with no device for 6 days. The otherwise kind people I spoke with there were ultimately so unhelpful that they bordered on rude. I know you would be frustrated too if this happened to you. You do not need to tell me that many times. Im dumbfounded by how little customer service I experienced today at the Bend Store. Sadly the arrogance that is so often attributed with Mac technicians rang resoundingly true today.
Great service. I got the battery changed out on my iPhone quick and easy. The girl also found out for us that apple covered the battery change for free on our model so I am very happy she took the time to check. They were very helpful and saved me money.
They were great! Everyone in there I talked to and worked with we very helpful and did not give up till my computer was working properly. All the employees and the store leader I think his name was Dave was great. He worked hard and patiently to get my Mac working. Thanks so much.
Checked in at 3:55 for a 4pm appointment with a service tech but they were busy. NP NP. One of the techs finished up and she took the couple that came in 30 secs ago, completely ignoring me. I was then rechecked in by a different person at 4:22??? Sucks to be any color but white around here... :(
Customer service is good. With that said, never have Simply Mac send your iPhone to an Apple Repair Center for you. I would highly suggest doing it yourself as it will be faster and easier for you and Apple. Simply Mac didnt end up sending my phone until 1 week after I had given it to them.
The 3 stars are for quality, my repair was perfect but customer service needs work!My iPhone 11 screen shattered so i brought it in, i work from my phone and EACH employee assured me it would be done within 2-3 hours. I brought it in at 10am right when they opened and gave them my husbands number to call when it was done. By 3 we called and they had not started it yet, they said they THINK itll be done by closing at 8pm! by 7pm we still had heard nothing so we went in and come to find out it had been done for an hour and they called my phone to tell me it was ready....THEY had my phone....how was i supposed to know it was ready?! thank god we went in! we live 30 mins away in Redmond so this was anything but convenient. customer service is so important and simply mac could use some help.
This is a great store where we have shopped at a number of times. Excellent service . Intelligent staff. No matter how busy the store staff takes care of folks in a personal matter with purchases big and small. The young man who waited on us was particularly helpful and patient as we had numerous questions on a variety of subjects. Thank you
Didn’t realize you have to make an appointment. Tech person asked me if I made an appointment like I should understand the whole process as a first time customer. It felt awkward. The tech ended up helping me, kind of, by telling me to call Apple. Would be nice to be met with a more prompt and polite greeting.
This store is a gloried scam. My partner went and bought a brand new MacBook that had issues went back for a refund. The staff was horrific, we had to fight a restock fee, were told the card processing machines were down and they would have to send a certified check. We were told the check would be here by Tuesday 11/12. It’s Friday 11/15 and still no check, my partner goes in to have the check voided and the money put on our card since it’s obviously not here. He is called a liar and laughed at, then told that they are the middle man and can not refund him. So now we are waiting for a work order in Texas to get a tracking number on the check or have them process the refund. It’s been 9 days and this is unacceptable. Not sure how many people can afford to be down 1200+ dollars for this long, but I do know I can afford to file with the BBB and head to small claims court. I’m incredibly dissatisfied and hope to warn as many people as I can. I only have 100k followers on my social media, but hey it’s a start.
I came to get my macbook air checked out because it wouldnt charge, during the covid-19 shutdowns and was not only impressed by every staff members friendly and attentive attitudes and quality/speed of service but also by their dedication to keeping the space a safe place to be during the covid pandemic. Ive been in to this Simply Mac several times to purchase new items as well as use the service team and have always been highly impressed. John the manager and the whole team really are all awesome!! Highly recommend this store to anyone needing apple products or repairs (they are authorized by apple!)
My iPhone screen was malfunctioning. They got me in a short period of time and had repaired within 30 minutes highly recommend their excellent service
Simply Mac in Bend is awesome! My daughter lost her gift card ($160.00 for air pods!!!). They were able to track the card number with my receipt and name. I really appreciate the helpful and friendly staff for looking into it for us. What could have been a sad situation for my teenager worked out after all. Thanks Simply Mac!!
My phone was Dead! They tried to Get into it the best they could with no avail. So the next day they submitted it and I had a new phone in my hands within one day! excellent job. thank you Haley
Fast, friendly service. Very knowledgeable staff who remembered me from a previous visit. Gave good advice and recommendations to resolve some issues I had with an older product. Very satisfied.
I have been trying to call the store for two weeks now to ask a couple of quick questions but the call is never answered. I wanted to support a local store instead of ordering my new phone online but if they dont even answer the phone, Im inclined to give up and try elsewhere. I will edit this review if they return the voicemail I just left.
My wife & I purchased a new Mac yesterday and Chris helped us immensely in our selection. He is technically solid, professional, polite and patient in dealing with our myriad questions. In addition, I had my service dog with me and everyone in the store knows how to respond to and respect a service dog, which put me further at ease.Further, all of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and customer service oriented. Our shopping experience at The Mac store in The Old Mill District was totally positive and I would recommend this store to anyone in the market for a new Mac.
Very fast
Great service above and beyond
I went to Simply Mac so I could give my support to a local business. Apple has offered me $80 on my trade in; Simply Mac offered me $40. I said Id be willing to go down to $60. The sales girl was unwilling to offer me an additional $20 to $40 in gift card, store credit or accessories to make up the difference. So much for supporting the home town business. Back to Apple online for me.
I bought an Apple 4 watch and Alex was so helpful and great with me. I thought it was cute, clever, he told me to push buttons and explore my watch for a week before returning for more questions. I will definitely return for purchases in the future.
I live several hours away, so I had to have a friend drop off my MacBook Pro, which needed a screen repair, while they were in town visiting. (So thankful I bought the 3 year warranty!). It was ZERO hassle. They quickly repaired it and had it sent back to me (which shipping is NOT something they normally do) within 2 weeks. Great customer service, very helpful staff, and my MacBook is like new again! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! Would buy from them again.
Nice people. they helped me out resetting my daughters cell phone 👍
Max did a great job helping me select an appropriate set of headphones and went above and beyond by researching information he was unsure about online. He was knowledgeable and he explained things clearly. It was a pleasure to work with him.
I had a very positive experience at Simply Mac.I had left my iPhone out in the rain and they performed the diagnostics necessary to qualify me for out-of-warranty replacement for a reasonable cost (much less than I was quoted at the AT&T store where I purchased it). Both representatives I worked with seemed to know their business and when they hit a snag with the Apple system, they called a top manager at home to get permission for a work-around to save me time and complete the process. I walked out of the store with a new phone. It was relatively quick and painless and the people were nice.
The person who helped us was knowledgeable and professional. She knew what she was doing, fixed our problem very quickly and answered all our questions. We were very satisfied and will come back again if we have any other problems!
Horrible customer service. Sarcastic and rude. They are not the only Mac store in town but they sure seem to think they are. They told me on the phone that I need an appointment to bring in my Mac pro tower. When I arrived, on time, they left me standing for over a half hour, when I asked how long it would be, they responded with sarcasm. I had to take my computer and leave. I will never come back.
I bought an Apple Watch with cellular from this store. At the time I bought it, there was uncertainty as to whether or not the cellular would be compatible with my month to month Verizon plan. The young salesman said I should be fine but that in the event it didn’t work, i could bring it back and they wouldn’t charge a 10% restocking fee. So with that I walked out of the store, happy and feeling good that no matter what I wouldn’t be taking a risk.So turns out, it was not compatible with my plan. I returned to the store to return the watch. I spoke with the store manager, told him what his employee (Josh) had offered to me on good faith. He informed me that josh no longer worked for the company and they would not honor the promise. Made it seem like I was lying. Said he would never offer this to any customer because if he did, he’d be out of business. So I had to stand there and walk him back through the process, his employees surrounding us with looks of embarrassment and horror at the awkward stand off between us that every customer in the store could hear. I explained to him that he chose to employ a kid named Josh who made a promise in order to make a sale and that they should honor the promise as a show of good faith and customer service no matter what. Finally after about 10 minutes of arguing with the store manager, who refused to make eye contact with me the entire time, he passive aggressively caved. So good for him for doing the right thing in the end, but also ew, because of the gross disrespect and unprofessionalism. Will never ever ever buy anything from this store again, terrible customer service.
The staff here are so sweet and quick!Verizon, Bend, Highway 97 S. told me I would need to immediately upgrade my phone or pay $120 for insurance to remove the dislodged SIM card.... MAC did it in 5 mins for a $20 fee! Thanks Alex!!!!
I have had many experiences in this store. More so than not, my experiences are not the greatest.I’m not thrilled with the customer service of any staff members. It is obvious they do not enjoy their job at Simply Mac. Unfortunately, it’s not fun to be on the receiving end of this. Some more patience, maybe a smile and friendly approach would be useful when representing a company such as Apple...
Brought my 6 year old iMac in because it was running slow. One day later left with machine running like new.(installed solid state hard drive)
Unfortunately, they are one of two places to buy Apple products in Bend. And it is the only one on the South or West side. The store is clean and conveniently located. I have used them to service a work computer and most recently I bought an Apple Watch and some accessories there. They are super pretentious, I always get the feeling that they dont care and they are better than you. The lady I was working with did not know what she was talking about and had to keep going and asking her manager when I asked what band came in the box with the watch, etc. Even after she asked when I got it home and my wife opened it (gift) it had a different band in there. But! You cant return it once it is opened! I guess even if they dont know what they are talking about! I was thinking of buying another $50 band to go with the gift but they lost my business there when they would not let me open, AN ALREADY OPENED, box to see and feel the band. They did not have that particular one on display. In the future I will just drive the extra 10 mins and go to Best Buy.
The staff were very helpful in answering my questions and showing me what was needed. And then were able to quickly transfer data for me so that I could take my computer with me on vacation the next morning.
Awesome experience with warranty claim for my Apple AirPods!
It was pretty good but the guy said he could ~maybe~ give me the student discount (I’m headed into college next year) and I was like cool and then he came back and said he’d only give me the discount if I’d buy the $200 protection plan that I already said no to like twice.Good products but the customer service wasn’t amazing.
I had my wife drive from Redmond to try and drop off my phone, but they told her to make an appointment. It was a couple days before I could bring in my phone, they diagnosed a bad battery and after waiting 2 hours I had a new battery .The battery still died fast, so I made another appointment. This time I was told to backup and restore the phone. I did, which didnt fix the phone. I let the battery get below 30% and it stopped charging. Bought a pixle 3 and wasnt able to trade in my old phone because I cant get the iPhone to charge, which would allow me to turn off find my iPhone.
Excellent
Theyve helped me with stuff before but poor review is mainly because they never answer their phone.I wanted to buy a MacBook Air. Called 3 times and left messages on a Friday - wanting to know if they had the configuration I wanted in stock. No answer and no call back. They ended up losing my sale because they dont answer the phone. As a local, I dont go down to Old Mill unless I absolutely have to (especially on a weekend) and I cant stand retailers telling me that they can order something that isnt in stock for me and taking a cut because they think I cant use a keyboard and mouse myself. I ended up ordering directly from Apple. Better pricing, better trade value and a free gift. Downside is that I now have to wait two days for the unit to ship.Wouldve paid more to have the laptop today so I could get it all set up on my day off. They didnt call back and I didnt take the chance to go down there myself. Just answer the phone and take my $1500-2000. Or dont.
Dont waste your time here, they guy told me it would be $27 to repair my screen defect and i was going to pay him but he said no you can pay when its done tomorrow so i call the next day and they tell me its going to be $270 to pick it up fixed. so i told the guy that he told me the bill would be $27 and he said it was a misunderstanding and he said they can put the old display on instead so i wouldnt have to pay the bill. so when i tell them to do that they say they cant release it to me until apple says they can and it took multiple days . even though i own the phone they shouldnt have to ask apple when they didnt even fix it lol. i get my iPhone X back with a sticky plastic thing that leaves residue all over my screen and the display was bugging out even more than when i first took it their. complete waste of time that could have been avoided if the guy would of just done his research through apple instead of telling me the wrong price and fixing it anyways without knowing the actual price. this company is a joke dont go here send your phones to apple for repair. The technician was really nice and had great customer service but the dude didnt even ring up the price and just free balled it which wasted my time, and broke my phone even more.
We’d never been before. We weren’t sure of how to register. Only one computer to use. Then it was down. People cutting in front of others. Besides that. Our helper was great.
All my questions were answered and good advice provided. The technician was patient with my lack of knowledge about the function of my Mac and the iCloud. Reasonable charge. Will definitely go back if have need again.
Dont waste your time here.I had a more-complicated-than-average issue with my phone and was given the run-around every time I came in. Finally agreed upon a course of action with one person, but when I went in the next time to actually send the phone in to Apple, I dealt with another person who without telling me proceeded to handle the issue differently than I had agreed on with the previous employee. I arrived to pick up my phone - thinking it had been sent in to Apple like I had agreed on with another employee who said he put notes in the account about it - only to find out they kept it at the store and performed a restore (which I had already done and had not worked) and then tried to charge me for a service I had not agreed to.Basically, coming here youll deal with poor communication between employees, a lack of willingness to help with an issue that wasnt simple, and employees who treated me as a female very condescendingly, never mind I actually work in the tech industry and know more than your average person about how to deal with these issues. Rude, disrespectful, and ultimately very unhelpful. Dont waste your time. If youre in Bend, youre better off waiting until the next time youre in a city with an ACTUAL Apple Store or just doing Apples mail system to deal with your phone. As annoying as that is, it will be worth it to avoid having to deal with Simply Mac.UPDATE 6/18: Finally made it up to Portland and within 5 minutes they figured out what was wrong and replaced my phone. Again, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SIMPLY MAC.
I went in to our local Simply Mac with a broken screen on my Macbook Air to see if they could fix it and for how much. The gentleman that helped me looked up the serial # and found that I had purchased Apple Care Plus when I bought the laptop. He got me all scheduled for the next day to bring the computer back and was very fast and efficient with getting that taken care of. I brought the computer in the next day, he did a diagnostics test, ordered the part and had it back to me within 2 days! It looked and worked like a brand new computer when I got it back! The service was great and they were very timely with getting it back to me. I would definitely recommend this store and definitely recommend purchasing the Apple Care Plus, its worth it!!
Caleb in Bend Old Mill store was excellent. I had a problem with double, triple and missing contacts in phone contacts. He merged email account contacts and fixed settings to avoid repeat of these issues in future Apple updates. He listened to my concerns and was patient and educational. When done, he encouraged me to come any time I had questions. He may regret that offer, for not being very computer literate, I will return. Great Job Caleb and again thank you. I might add that other store employees there have also been very helpful over the past few years.
Very poor customer service. I had an appointment but people coming in after me with no appointment were helped first. The guy who was supposed to be helping me was totally clueless and kept chatting up a pair of girls, talking about energy drinks or something rather than assisting me.
So grateful to have a place to take my Apple products in Bend. Excellent technical knowledge and fast and efficient service with a smile!
I went in to buy a power cable for my MacBook Pro. It was pretty expensive so the person working found me a coupon which was SO super helpful. I mentioned that there was an issue with the port for the power cable, but I currently dont have the funds to have it worked on. He told me to bring it down and he would take a look and let me know what I needed to do to fix it. I brought it in within the hour and he took it in the back and fixed the problem. It was an easy fix, it took less than 2 minutes and he did it for free. I am so appreciative of how friendly and helpful he was and will definitely go there for all my future Apple needs. Im sorry I cant remember his name, he deserves kudos for his amazing customer service today.
We came in looking for cases and screen protectors for two new phones (not purchased at Simply Mac). Maxwell at the Bend store helped us with our selections and even installed everything for us. Truly exceptional service!
Chris Hittlet is the man to see at Simply Mac. His knowledge and expertise is top shelf and he is able to explain the pros and cons of a computer in practical terms.
Does there are currently newest iPhone 11pro products? if there are please let me know.
Have been to this store several times and found that the service varies. For the most part today it was helpful, but overwhelming information to those of us who dont really understand computers. The first person I encountered appeared to have given me the wrong information when my computer was checked at the service desk. It also seems expensive to me.
I have only had great experiences at Simply Mac. The staff is friendly and professional and got me the information I needed quickly and with care. I will definitely keep doing business here
Great and professional service! you actually, cant believe they are not apple! John and the rest of the team are friendly and very service oriented!I would recommend them and the number 1 place for all of your Apple devices.#LKTG #LetsGuide
My experience was wonderful! Great customer service and then, to top it off, the wonderful woman who was helping me Went the extra mile to figure out what they could do to help me instead of just telling me there was no hope.
