Product rave about to go down:These.Best purchase I never made. Back in 2010 my mother-in-law, Liz Boyd, bought these for me. They were more than $30. I cant remember the exact price, might have been closer to $40. We were in Colorado Springs Colorado. I didnt have swim gear so she bought me these shorts😍.I have not taken care of them, I have lived in them through all water adventures, chlorine and chemical pools, algea ridden lakes, slimy rivers, salty oceans, not so careful laundry loads.They do not fail. No color fading, no loose threads, heck the ends of the pull strings (which have never fallen out of the shorts) have not frayed. They are like new. No stains of any kind.The material is soft and smooth. Comfortable with no riding up. They havent slid off being pulled on water toys behind boats, or dives from boards and river rocks.I dont own any other Columbia products that I know of. And thanks to them I havent had to waste clothes and money by purchasing more swim trunks for the past 11 years. But Im a big Columbia fan now. These will work for years more Im sure. Theres something so awesome about reliability in things.

Excellent customer experience. Was helped by a wonderful sales person who really went out of his way to find a fitting size. Couple that with a quality product and you cant go wrong.

Had a great experience in the Columbia store. I purchased a new hiking shirt, pants, and a puffy vest. The prices were good, but some flannel patterns for hiking shirts would be nice. That said, my hiking pants had a hole in one pocket. But after returning a day or two later they exchanged them no problem. I will definitely be back.

This is a true Columbia outlet store. Great discounts if you like Columbia, and who doesnt) this is the place to shop.

I bought a new pair of boots the guy who helped me was very friendly and showed me what I was looking for right away. There was a long line to purchase my item but it went quickly!

This store is consistently the best for retail experiences. Erik and Pat are phenomenal salesmen always willing to help but in no way pushy. Erik even remembered my name from the last time I was in the store several weeks back and Pat found me a steal of a perfect pair of shoes. The people at the registers are also top notch. Patient and kind, easy to talk to and efficient, even in the heat of big sale rushes. I wish I could have caught all of their names too! All around, this location is filled with top notch humans finding a way to be personable in the most hectic of customer and retail dynamics. I know how hard it can be to work customer service, so keep it up guys. Youre what keeps me coming back!

Great sales for Labor Day as every year! Some customers walk around without masks though and are not asked to mask up. Made me feel uncomfortable.

Mostly good. Nice products, clean store. I went in with my mom to look at hiking boots. One of the staff made inappropriate comments towards me while I was trying them on... in front of my mom. Made us feel really uncomfortable, and I wanted to leave immediately. We still bought the shoes, but I really hope that guy isn’t still working there if I ever have to go back in.

Once a year, I buy new clothes to take home to Mexico. The store always offers a wide selection of shorts and sports shirts. A thousand dollars later, and I am outfitted until next spring.

Visited this store 3/24/21 around 3pm (hopefully the date & time allow identification of the person I am complimenting as I didn’t get his name), my wife was interested in a pair of size 7 hiking boots but the only two size 7 boxes have both a single left footed shoe in them ... where are missing the tight shoes? Got assistance from a middle age male sales person working in the footwear section.. A quick look at other boxes of other sizes in finding the missing right shoes wasn’t successful. He then went to the store to check and also not success. We already given up and trying other shows and the sales person persistently combing through all the boxes on the shelf for at least another 10-15 minutes and then we heard him yelling excitedly - I found it, I found it. Thanks to him, our trip to the store wasn’t wasted or getting another pair that is not my wife’s top choice. I would like to complement his patient in taking care of the customers. We are passing through Bend and not like to visit the store again so if someone can identify this person, it would be great. Thanks!

Ive been a customer of Columbia for several years. Ive always received excellent customer service from the employees here (especially Daniel on my last visit). I shop for my entire family here. The product that Columbia offers is outstanding, the price cant be beat. The store always seems to be neat and organized and I cannot rave enough about how helpful and friendly the employees are. Definitely a customer for life!

The BEST Columbia store in Oregon. Better than the employee store in Portland, and thats saying a lot.The staff here are always outstanding, and thats a sign of excellent top-down management.From a stocking perspective, this store used to be a typical high-end gear outlet: lots of cool stuff but in frustratingly odd sizes.For the last year plus theyve had more mainline sizes, and most recently more womens than mens. In ok with that because although Im pretty well geared out my wife is only catching up because of the past overweight in guys stuff.Our go to place for sure!

Like stopping in here often and seeing what deals I can find. Jackets, pants, gloves, kids clothes. Great prices on shoes and boots also. Always something new here to find.

This place is great, they do these tent sales where you can find awesome deals on Columbia stuff. I got shoes from here for $50 and they are great so far. I also got a jacket from here for winter/fall so that theres layers for when you go hiking. If you like Columbia brand, go here.

Great store with SUPER friendly and helpful staff. Dont go there if you are expecting to purchase any Sorel shoes. A woman comes in up to twice a day and purchases all their inventory in the most common sizes to resell them. Such a bummer!

This is my favorite clothing, equipment store. Frankly, I do not know how they do it because there are steep discounts of 40, 50, & 60%. Also if you become a member of their shopping list. They send you discount vouchers based on your store and online purchases. Finally, they have Mountain Hardwear at great prices.

I was there at the end of the ski season and the deals were awesome! The staff were attentive and helpful. Tons of winter outerwear on discounts that I bought for the next season that would last me years!

Good sale

Shocked today to return to the Columbia outlet store in Bend Oregon, returning a shirt I purchased for my husband 1 week ago that was defective. The shirt was never worn. I had him try it on at home, then laundered it so he could wear it. Followed washing instructions on tag, took it out for wearing and all the seams were puckered. Clearly a defective item. I was told at the store I could not be refunded because the item had been laundered. Their policy is they will not take it back if laundered. I was absolutely shocked that they did not have the integrity to stand behind their Columbia label product. I will not shop at Columbia in the future. The only time you wouldve known the shirt was defective was when washing. Extremely poor policy for their customer service.I was told I could go online and follow their warrantee procedure. Download paperwork, fill it out, send in the item and then wait to hear their response whether they would repair replace or send a gift card. The inconvenience of returning to the store with this faulty merchandise seemed plenty inconvenience to me. From all the retailers I shop at, I have never had this type of lack in standing behind a product. And yes Columbia, I am definitely sharing my story with my friends on social media. A buyer beware became my experience at Columbia sportswear outlet store.

Bottom line = the discounts available on the merchandise they sell is not worth the agony of the wait at the register.I recommend about 1.5 hours to complete a purchase here. Not for someone in a hurry. To checkout, you need to answer the following questions.You will get a barrage of questions at checkout like are you a club member? Do you want to be? Do you want to get our financing program? Applying coupons?The layman will wait impatiently while the cashier looks up their discount eligibility for their friends and family. After all that its time to ring in their items. It takes about 10 minutes to complete a transaction if the customer has everything I mentioned. I would say with the complexity its very easy to make a mistake on both sides of the cash register.My experience.I waited in line for 15 minutes while the 2 cashiers helped the people ahead of me. Those people ahead me got their friends and family discount. Then one of them presented a cupon for $5 off their purchase over $30. But the cashier completed their purchase already. So, A manager was needed so we waited for him to be done with a third shopper who he had helped with shoes. Needless to say he let her cut everyone in line now about 6 people. He then went to the register that needed their purchase voided. But those folks had turned to shopping around for the item that would get them over the $30 mark. That took about 5 minutes of deliberating and completing the transaction.I do like the deals but my time is not worth the savings.

Very busy store with long lines at checkout. The associates on the floor are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products, but staff at the registers are poorly trained, rude, and completely unhelpful. I had to get a manger involved to complete my transaction, which would have been fine except I had to go track them down myself rather than the register attendant helping me with the problem. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at any business in Bend.

There are some things that are interesting to see if you look deep enough. Besides that it reminds me a little of north face.

The employee Trudee had a terrible attitude. No eye contact, barely spoke and a general attitude that I was somehow inconveniencing her by checking out (this after her walking by three times not noticing I was waiting in check out to be helped) I dont think I have ever had an experience of an employee not caring in any way to provide customer service. I understand having bad day, we all have had plenty, but put in some effort to be even 10% of the employee Columbia hired. Ill delete this review in a week because it doesnt reflect my other experiences here since they were all fabulous.

Horrible customer service, and an arrogant manager on duty 8/9/17I bought a pair of OutDry trail shoes there 7 days ago. I actually wore the shoes around town on two ocaisons. Not the trails mind you. No dirt, no mud, no scuffs. Just the soles were dirty from the black top, sidewalk etc... I noticed that the piece where the lace threads though had ripped from the shoe. I took the shoes back to exchange them for the exact same pair, same size etc...Even before I finished speaking, the cashier said I would have to produce a receipt, but he would call the manager on duty. Not a great first interaction, but i had higher hopes with a so called manager. The manager (ir manager on duty that day) came up behind me, and without introducing himself said he couldnt do anything without a receipt. I was a actually taken aback. No, hello, how can I help you, or anything. I told him my story, and again said he couldnt do anything. Hmmmmm, a big company like Columbia Sportsware, who owns Sorel, Prana and Montrail, who is supposed to make decent and high end outer ware, wants a piece of paper to exchange a pair of shoes. Not return and get money, just exchange for the exact product i bought the week prior. Sure problems arrise from time to time, with any company, like the lace holder ripping out. But usually the store says, im sorry that happened, would you like to return them, or exchange them. NO RECEIPT NEEDED. (Think Nordstroms, Home Depot, Fred Meyer)Not Columbia in Bend OR.The manager was usless with ZERO ability to try and make the customer happy. Too bad too. Ill never go there again to spend my money. Ill go to Solomon, Patogonia, The North Face, Spyder, even, Arteryx.All I wanted, was to exchange the shoes. Now, Columbia has last a customer. What a shame that customer service is a thing of the past these days.BTW, Im a male in my early 40s. Still many more years of outdoor activities, and opportunities to purchase all kinds of outdoor products. But, not from Bend OR Colombia Sportsware.
