Brussels sprouts were amazing! Buns & herb butter were delicious! The Tuna was overcooked in the salad, the pork shank was fall off the bone 🍖. The Scillies potatoes were yummy. String beans were stringy and tough. The stuffed vegetarian stuffed zucchini not so good. All in all it was okay. Service was great!!! Lemon 🍋 aid was sour, not enough sugar. Amaretto Panna cotta was very good, but I didn’t taste any amaretto. Parking lot is huge and empty.

Food was great, service was subpar. You spend a pretty penny on food and drinks so you would think something as simple as substituting a side wouldn’t be a big deal, but I was told it was not allowed. I had just had a tooth pulled when we went out for my sisters birthday and I was hoping to get french fries instead of the potatoes au gratin, as it would be easier to eat, and I was told that because they were too small of a kitchen they didn’t allow substitutions.

Had a very good dinner. We recommend ordering bread (3) rolls per order, and brussel sprouts. All five of us had different entrees and of those the steelhead and bolegnese were the favorites. Our server recommended the pork shank but none of us tried it. After looking at another tables order, I regretted not ordering that. Wine and cocktails were all good.

The supper club has finally arrived in Bend. Located in the Old Mill it is nestled just behind Jimmy Johns. The atmosphere is warm and slightly city like with an industrial flair. Full bar and beer too. Service was purposefully slow, which felt right to enjoy time with family and friends. Food was superb and freshly prepared to order. Menu offered several selections for any appetite. Family friendly and fun for everyone. Prices fair for quality. Ill go back regularly.

Appreciated that they made space for us without a reservation. The food was all outstanding. They don’t overdeliver on choices but they do on the food and that’s where it counts. The brussel sprouts are not to be missed and the slightly non traditional steak frites is satisfying on every level. Other diners had the pork and bolognese- and all fully satisfied. Make room for dinner rolls, they are worth it. Plus great and happy service. A winner!

If you are looking to spend a lot of money on a meal this is the place for you! Although the food was very tasty, the price put a damper on our ever returning. The dinning area is dark, dismal and had the feel of a cafeteria. The chairs were very uncomfortable. One of the main courses was a bowl of gnocchi @$18.00 sans meat or salad. Although it was very delicious, it is not your Grandmothers gnocchi by any means, more like garlic and potatoes rolled out and cut into small cylinders. The small plate of Pesto Bruchetta was also yummy however overpriced at $11.00. Bruchetta is often served gratis at most restaurants in this price range. Service is excellent. The big surprise for us, the price on the menu was not reflected on the bill!

No one flavor overpowers, and they all dance together.Another thing that was amazing was the friendliness of the staff. Boxwood Kitchen & Supper Club is an amazing addition to Bend and the Old Mill District. Since the first week it opened it as become one of our top 3 go to restaurants when visitors come to town (and when we’re looking for a night out of course). They continuously update their menu so it can feel like you’re trying a new restaurant every time you go in. One of my go-tos for lunch is the fried chicken sandwich and I like to add a local hot sauce they have on hand called Fred’s to take it to the next level (I don’t do aioli). For dinner last night we tried the baby rack ribs with a Korean inspired bbq sauce and slaw. We paired that with one of our favorites, the homemade spatzle mac and cheese. We split both because the portions are decent and couldn’t go home and go into a food induced sleep! They also carry the local Gomper’s Gin and it’s amazing so I enjoyed the most perfect gin gimlet last night as well! Whether you live in Bend or are visiting, it’s a must try!

I travel across the US 200+ days a year and this is one of the best brunches I have had in a minute. Unique, fresh, perfect portion size and absolutely delicious. I had the polenta and eggs. Two perfectly poached eggs atop of a creamy polenta base with mushrooms, tomatoes, homemade sausage and a “secret” red sauce. The blend of texture and flavors were phenomenal. Each bite tasted a little different as the, whatever creamy sauce they used, sunk into the bowl blending everything together into perfection! Well done! Great presentation, very clean and awesome staff too!

What a delight! Bend is lucky to have this gem. We had the Honey Braised Pork and the Chicken Schnitzel and were so pleased with how well prepared, seasoned and balanced both of these dishes were. While we waited for our togo order we had enjoyed a delicious cocktail, as well. This place is a gem! A genuine and unique diamond in the rough sea of mundanity that is the Old Mill. Surrounded by chains and franchises, Boxwood stands as a beacon. The music is relevant and played at the perfect volume, affording privacy at every table without forcing one to shout to their companions. The space is beautiful, open, and warm. The staff are lovely and kind and friendly. Sitting at the bar provides ample entertainment with views of the open kitchen and a front-row seat to the silent movies projected against the wall. They serve quite possibly the best french fries in the whole of Bend and the burger is ON POINT. Every item on the menu looks delicious. Boxwood is a must for the tourist and the local. Well worth the trip for its own sake and a cant miss if you end up down there for a movie or some shopping.

Poor service. We really wanted to like the place, but it’s a definite nope. We had a reservation, and when we arrived, we were ignored for several minutes. Finally someone acknowledged us and they said they were “super busy”. Um, no. It was Friday night and there were eight empty tables when we arrived. You were not busy. Just not organized and not working as a team. Service was so slow it was unacceptable. Finally after taking our drink order, half of our table got their drinks. I asked where my drink was, and was told tersely that it’s on it’s way. Nope. Another five minutes later, and it finally came. Food was fine, but would have been better if accompanied by decent service. I enjoy dining out and will pay for it accordingly. Don’t make excuses to your guests about why you can’t deliver your product in a timely fashion. Lots of good restaurants in Bend that do it better.

I had pretty much given up on finding good restaurants in the Old Mill, and then I discovered Boxwood Kitchen! The restaurant is a hidden gem... it has a beautiful full bar, a spacious dining room ( the tables have plenty of space in between so you don’t feel cramped ) and the lighting is romantic yet trendy. I ordered the pork belly appetiser which was phenomenal, and the herbaceous dinner rolls that are fresh baked daily to accompany my pasta Bolognese ( pasta is also handmade) . I was excited to try Boxwood Kitchen today. Unfortunately my visit was not the experience I expected. Beyond the inexperienced staff, my real issue was with the food. The potatoes had potential but were dry and hard. The Benedict was built on a dried out muffin, with bacon that was equally dried out (both the bacon and muffin were so dried out they were hard to cut). And the presentation was, well, disheveled.
