I stopped by today to have rubber soles added to a pair of dress shoes (only a $30 charge for the best material). The owner was kind and honest, spending about 10 minutes educating me on the various materials and reasons for his recommendation. His years of experience and craftsmanship are priceless. Hes extremely knowledgeable and will do the best job given his years dedicated to this craft. If you are able to be patient and work around his schedule, its a delightful experience but more importantly its the best job for the best price.

Basically I see no integrity of someone, especially a business owner to simply hang up on a potential customer. I had left a message the day before too and never even received a call back! No way to run a business.

Called to simply ask about his price of re-soling Birkenstock’s. He called back and put me on hold then told me to call him back. Didn’t answered then I called back. He said “how much you got?” I said how much are you charging for a re-sole? He said “ how much you got?” I hung up and called give em the boot. They charge $45. Go there.

I took my shoe to this old fashioned shoe store to get the left toe stretched because my little toe was very unhappy. It only cost $12 and now that toe is very happy and I can walk easily again. The store owner is the only one working there. Sometime he has to go to the bank during working hours and the day I was there he had to leave early for his COVID vaccine. I think clients need to understand that if a shop has only one person working there, he is not always available to answer the phone or even be there. Be patient if you want good service!!

An old school shoe repair business backed with integrity and experience. The kind of small business that I want to support. This gentleman knows his craft and delivers a job well done. Let this man care for your shoes.

This is really easy remember how hard it was to get anyone to answer the phone ? (What sort of business leaves it’s voicemail full) remember how hard to was to get your boots in to get them worked on because the store is never open,how in the world am I supposed to get my boots back ? I mean they had my property now for months and I’ve no one to call and no one is ever there,you look threw the windows and there’s shelves full of peoples boots they can’t get back what a joke because the store is never open

Not only are you not able to leave a voice message because its full he does not even show up at work during his posted hours. Horrible service! Id give a zero star if I could.

Very rude customer service! I asked the owner some simple questions over the phone, and he was rushing me, was not helpful and was very sarcastic when he answered some of my questions. When I asked for his hours of operation, and if he was opened on the weekend he replied with No I dont work on the weekends, I like to have a life tooHis tone of voice, answers and comment were said with a very rude tone of voice. I am not sure about the quality of his work, but I cannot trust someone who treats their customers in this manner. I would definitely not recommend this business to anyone.

He does an absolutely amazing job. I recommend him to everyone when they say their shoes need to be brought back to life. Never disappointed. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I have been searching for a good wide calf boot for a while now and have had no luck finding a pair that fits me and looks cute and are totally practical. A friend told me about this place and so I took a chance. I bought the boots I liked and took them to boot sole to be stretched. I just did my first fitting and I am totally happy to say they fit me! I have always had such a hard time finding boots and these guys just made my day! Great customer service too!

I asked simply about replacing the suede on the bottoms of my ballroom dance shoes. These shoes have very specific, though fairly simple construction. The guy, who probably has never done one step of ballroom dancing in his life, decided that he was going to tell me, a dance instructor, what *I* wanted on *my* shoes, stating that what I said I wanted was not what I actually wanted, even though what he was saying was completely wrong for the type of activity they were intended for, insisting that all manner of padding and reinforcement and other nonsense was absolutely necessary. We argued about this for a solid fifteen minutes before I simply walked out. Never taking my service there again. Granted, this was a while back, but I have found a better place anyway.

He has little competition in Bend, no incentive to provide decent service. His work is good but call on your way in because he more than likely won’t be there during his posted hours. I had to go back twice because he was locked up for the night. This was after I called to make sure he would be there.

I needed some extra long shoe laces and had looked at many other places with no result. I called a shoe company here in Bend and asked if they had shoelaces that were 80 long and they directed me to the Sole Shop. They were courteous on the phone and said they could help. I stopped by 10 minutes later and they had some laces that would work. I was not sure though if they size of lace would fit through the eyelets of my shoes. They guy asked if I had the shoes with me and said that he could help me install the laces. I actually did have them in my car. I went out to get them and he proceeded to heat up and stretch the end of the laces to a small point so that they would fit through the eyelets. He was very helpful and I enjoyed talking with him. They were great.

Excellent work. Had him resole some old Sperry Boots I had. He did an amazing job and was great to work with. I will send business to him and will definitely be a return customer.

Completely wrecked my 400$ favorite pair of cowboy boot and still charged me 80$ for repairs. The only reason I paid was in hopes someone could fix what the dos wrong but nope! They are ruined.

Great service! I needed alteration on a pair of dress shoes causing sore spots. The owner listened carefully as I described the problem. He then worked them on a machine and bingo, Im out the door. No cost.

Well, I brought 5 pairs of shoes in to have heel lifts created. I paid $150 on October 29th for the work. Here it is November 27th, and they are stll not done! Really???!!!

I never have been one to write bad reviews for anyone - however this store and the service received prompted me to do so. I took my high length leather boots in for the soles to be redone and when I went back a few days later with my ticket to collect - they could not find them anywhere. After leaving and going back to give them time to keep looking, they said the only ticket missing in their stack was mine and they had no idea where the boots had gone. I said it seemed like their system was not working at which point the man in the store flew into a rage at me and started yelling that I did not know what I was talking about and that the system was perfect. I suggested that maybe it was not perfect based on the fact they had lost my favorite not cheap boots. He then proceeded to walk back and start working on another project saying what in the hell did I want him to do!!!! He eventually gave me $100 to cover the boots which is nowhere near what I paid for them and I did NOT get a refund on work I previously paid for on the boots! I am shocked more by the lack of customer service and care that was shown that reduced me to tears the way I was being yelled at and made to feel it was all MY fault!!! I still feel bad I have lost my best boots and will never recommend this place to anyone. Daryll M Jonnson
