Got my mother of the bride dress here. Staff was very helpful

I am very unsatisfied with their service. I live 2 hours away and I chose to get my dress altered here just for them to turn me down. I specifically called and made an appointment and in that phone call I said that “I ordered my dress online,” they didn’t say anything about it and they still let me make an appointment. I drove the 2 hours, one way, and when I got there they looked at the tag and said to me, “ we’re too booked right now we can not take any dresses bought outside our store.” I had made an appointment the previous week and I made sure that I mentioned I had bought the dress online when I made my appointment. I was very unimpressed with their customer service. You would have thought they would have mentioned that they don’t take dresses outside of their store. I would love to give them zero stars.

Tara was so helpful and sweet. She gave us our space to look around but was there when we needed her. Thank you for helping me find my wedding dress!

Had such an amazing experience shopping for my wedding gown at Formalities! They have a great selection of styles and sizes so I was able to try every style on I wanted. The atmosphere is very nice and organized. The ladies are great help as well! I found the perfect dress there and cant wait to continue to do business there for the rest of my Bridal party!

Ive always had an excellent experience at Formalities! Everyone in the store is always so nice, friendly, and welcoming. Ive bought numerous dresses here and I am always treated wonderfully. I was going to look at a big store in the cities for wedding dresses, but the ladies in this store made me change my mind because of how nice they have always been and I am so happy that I went through them.

Char is amazing, shes so friendly. I ordered my dress from Davids bridal and she did wonders with my dress. Nothing but a great experience with her. Great customer service from her staff.

I had an excellent experience with Formalities for my bridal gown search. I worked with Char, the owner. The service was personal, not pushy. The store provided unique dresses at affordable costs. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area searching for bridal or formal gowns!

Totally disappointed that they dont do alterations unless you buy the dress from them! I have a bridesmaid dress which was purchases elsewhere, but they sell the same exact brand, so I thought it would be nice to go through them. But obviously they dont want to get any new business. Will not be using them for any future business.

I purchased my first cocktail gown from Formalities a decade or so ago and have been a regular customer ever since. As I worked in the bridal industry numerous years ago, I can attest that the staff of Formalities is professional, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about bridal and formal wear, tuxedos, alterations, etc. I am not only addicted to the gorgeous styles that Formalities carries, but to the wonderful owner and staff of this store. On a side-note - as co-owner of an event planning business my business partner Robin and I have had the opportunity to work with Formalities on a more regular basis and this reinforces my already outstanding opinion of them. Formalities is top notch!

Staff was very helpful and friendly and they just know who you are everytime you walk threw the door. They have a wide selection of weddding dresses and accessories. My wedding dress was perfect when I picked it up for my big day. I recommend formalities to every bride to be.

I never thought that I would write a review on Google but the experience that my son, his bride and I had with Formalities was so disgusting that I would never want anyone else to experience it.It all started just fine...bought the bridesmaid dresses and order the tuxes. Great customer service until Formalities get the money in their hands. Then the problems start and the customer service goes right out the door because of the owner of the shop. I have never met such a snob in my life. The owner is a condescending, rude, unapologetic know-it-all. The problems we had are to numerous to list but the shop owner was the worse person that I have ever had to deal with. She is very snide and insulting.So future brides and customers, be forewarned about this shop...dont be bamboozled and buy anything through this shop because the headaches will come and they dont come cheap!

I was recently married and went with Formalities for my Bridesmaids dresses and tuxs. Lets just say our party spent a lot of money at this establishment, we had a large wedding party.When our tuxes came in they were the wrong ones. I called the store and the employee was very poliet and quick to help! 10 minutes later another one called, also poliet and wanted to confirm my order just to be safe... I was very pleased and happy with them, so i thought this mix up wasnt going to be that bad....I WAS WRONG!The owner called me and insisted I was wrong! I had made the mistake not her girls writing down the order. She was telling me order and style numbers. Excuse me, I do not work there, these numbers mean nothing to me! OOOOH do not tell her that, She told me..You need to control yourself or I will not work with you No bride wants or needs to hear this 2 days before her wedding!So after a half hour of cheek chewing on how I was wrong she askes me that I will be paying for the restocking fee. My fiance took care of the rest of that days conversations! I was done.Now Friday---the day before our wedding--- she calls me and I let it go to voicemail becuase i do not need her voice in my head!Becca, your tuxes are in and we need a chat before you can pick them upI had a bridesmaid call and the owner was not happy! She said she would not let anyone pick up the tuxes until i came in and talked with her because i was so rude and disrespectful to her employees ummm no I was not!Again my wonderful fiance and his mother to my rescue!I will never set foot in this building again! i will be telling all my nieces do not go here for prom! I will tell all my unmarried friends do not go here!!! This woman made my wedding week hell!!!!!!

I went there had no appointment (my mistake Im a newby at looking for a wedding dress) but they still let me look around since they were slow the lady that helped me was very nice.
