Always nice. Only thing I do not like is crowded tents. Spaces are small for crafter. You have to take baby steps looking around because of so many people and limited amount of room to move around.

My dog sawyer is the best dog ever and i owe it in part to his time spent in doggy day care during his first year and a half. he learned to socialize with other dogs and people. he had his own cubby and would get a report card every week. they did school picture day, birthday parties, holiday parties, and educational activities (wheels day for one). nap time was at noon and all the dogs would go in to their crates (willingly!) to rest. of course the treat probably was a good incentive. sawyer even had swim day. nature day. the staff is there because they LOVE what they do. now at the age of four, sawyer is my gentle giant. he loves people, he loves other dogs. even the cats. thank you so much to all of you at Meyers for loving my dog as much as i do.

Our little Princess loves going on vacation to tails up. They always treat her like the royalty she comes from. We used to leave her with Dog sitters and it would take her a week to readjust but not when we take her to you. We really appreciate your great customer service. Thank You.

Meyers is our goto place for all three of our dogs. We have them groomed regularly here and also border them whenever we need to be out of town and cant take them with. The staff at Meyers has been great to work with for all the years we have gone there. Since we schedule grooming and boarding in advance I always appreciate the reminder call/text. Most importantly our dogs always look great when they return to us and we know they are well taken care of when at Meyers for an overnight stay.

Picked up our dog after 8 days and he was not acting like himself. Kept shaking his head and biting at his feet. Looked at his ears and one ear was fire red and caked full of brownish gunk. Then noticed a big sore on his foot. This is our child. I will never use them again. Poor baby is sad and in pain.

Gwen and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and care about the services that they provide. Though my only experience is with their grooming, I imagine their other services are just as good. Its nice to know that Meyers available when I need to entrust someone with my Walters care.

I boarded my special needs German Shepherd Fritz for 10 days. Im a huge worrier, especially after a bad experience at another facility. Meyers took excellent care of my boy and hell be staying there again in August while Im out of town

My 9 month old lab has been attending daycare at Meyers once a week for almost two months. She LOVES it! I work from home but send her for socialization and to avoid separation anxiety later on. At home she follows me around the house constantly, so I was worried she would develop anxiety about leaving me, but when we arrive at Meyers she jumps around and literally drags me through the door. The staff have all been kind and accommodate me sending her with lunch since shes still growing. My pup and I could not be happier with our experience!

Vey nice place for your loved one with 4 legs. Staff is very caring and will answer any questions you have about your loved one they have in waiting for you to return. We will take our grey hound back when we need to leave town again.

Our puppy was here for the 1st time and was spoiled...He was, however stressed because we have never been away from him for more than a few hours..tho he got over that fast!Great place and we hope to be returning for some training with Nugent and more lodging while we travel....

Prices may be a tad bit higher, but in some cases even lower than the big mart. But the quality is always superior. Just dont expect to find one in the hood. Class of there own.

I will never go back to this kennel. The up charging here is ridiculous and you really need to watch how they price things otherwise they will over charge you and not notice it unless you notice it and bring it to their attention. If you make a reservation online, the first option of booking is the bunk house, which you would think is the cheapest option . . . but no . . . that is the pricier option. I got duped because I wasnt careful on registering, so that is my mistake. However I never got a notice of what exactly I had booked as well. First of all, the prices are not listed on the drop down box and when you make the reservation, it does not tell you the price you just committed to. Also, when they email you the confirmation, it only says that your reservation has been confirmed, but does not list the room you reserved or the price on that email as well. I dont trust this place. When it was clear that I was upset and shared with them my distrust, they just shrugged and said have a good day, which I get it . . . my mistake and my dog had already spent the week in the bunk house for $58 a night. (I should have seen if she could have just stayed in the EconoLodge down the street . . . a bit more roomier . . . ha.) Im just glad I came home one day early and saved myself $58 bucks. My dog has seemed happy here, but Im going to look for other options as there ARE other options in Rockford. If you go . . . I just recommend that you watch your billing and make sure what you are agreeing with because does not feel 100% transparent.

If you have not looked in to the options that Meyers can offer to you to help make your dogs live a better one - you need to do that... pronto!

Theres one particular groomer that my Holly just loves. She can be difficult to work with but he has that certain touch that calms her down. I highly recommend Meyers for your grooming or boarding needs.

Meyers is an awesome place to leave your pets! I boarded my dogs for a stay, and they had a great time. Meyers offers different activities that I could cater to my dogs needs. They liked their walks and play times that they had. Not to mention, I liked the extra perks of receiving pictures and texts letting me know that they were having a good time. I requested before picking them up that they each were groomed, and when they were picked they looked amazing and smelled great! There is no other place that I can trust to take care of my dogs when I go out of town, other than Meyers. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable on any questions that I have regarding my breed, stays, etc.

We have had our dog board with Meyers a few times, and he has loved his experience. He has returned from every stay in an very good mood. They have him stay in an enclosure by himself, but he can see, smell, and hear the other dogs. We also sign him up for activities like walks and play time throughout the day.

We really adore this place and its staff for the care they give our fur babies!💖 Yes sometimes I have to re-communicate but they have always fixed and adjusted. Never has something not been able to be the way we need it to be for our fur babies ❤️ They are the best vacation home for our babies! And boy do they get spoiled!

The truth is that some people find it expensive but when they see the result they would pay that or more, I would not change that place.

I was visiting the kennel for myself, not my pet!! They host a very fun holiday vintage show! Food trucks, specialty holiday drinks, cute and unique items to purchase. There is a fee to go in, which I always hate, but it was only $5.00 and it went to charity. I’ve gone the last three years and have had a great time!

Over the past 7 years I have used almost every service that Meyers has to offer and I would have to say that the experiences my dogs have had are superb. Our pets are part of our family and Meyers friendly staff treats them like they are part of their family as well. I have referred numerous friends to Meyers Tails Up Farm and Canine Colony in Roscoe...to this day, they and I are extremely satisfied repeat customers. Absolutely, the best in lodging, training, and grooming!

Due to extenuating circumstances we needed to board our dog at the last minute and luckily Meyers had space. Shes a shelter dog so we were concerned that she not feel wed abandoned her, and opted for one on one run and play time daily. After 9 days when we picked her up she was very happy almost like she wanted to stay longer. We need not have been concerned, she had excellent care and would board her there again. Thanks to Meyers for taking such good care of our dog.

In regards to my previous post. I had asked Meyers Kennel if i could pick up my dogs at 6:05 after some unexpected car troubles. They told me they closed at 6pm and pick up would have to be the next day. At first i was very upset & expected to be charged an extra unnecessary night. When i picked them up, they took the extra night off of the bill. Thank you & Thank you for taking very good care of all my furry children.

I called 3 times to see if they had room to board our two dogs. Called the first time at 5:00 and the message said they answered until 6 and someone would return my call. Nope. Called the next day, got the answering machine again and left a message. Nothing. Called a third time in the afternoon, answering machine again. Forget it, never received a call back. If you cant bother to call me back, why would I trust you with my dogs?

We love coming here for the annual Christmas on the Farm! Great venders, and food! Places outside to sit and relax by the fires and parking!

We take our dogs here every year we go on vacation. They take great care of our dogs. You can really tell that they are passionate about animal care. Weve been boarding our dogs out there for many years and have never been disappointed.

Meyers has been our dogs second home for 10 years and counting. We have trained at Meyers, with great success, they are groomed bi-weekly and our dogs spend at least 6 weeks a year boarded, and they always come home healthy, loved and well cared for. Our dogs have special needs, which are always met. Our dogs are happy when they get there and happy when they leave. We never worry about them while they are at Meyers because we are confident they are getting the best care available ! Thank you Kent, Gwen and the entire Meyers crew !

I brought my dog here when he was a year old. We loved working with the owner Kent. The prices were more affordable than I imagined. Kent even took time after class to answer any questions we had. Ive also used their grooming services and my puppy always comes home with a cute bandana!

My furr babies are well cared for, whenever they visit Meyer’s Tails Up Farm. I am amazed that we have such a gem in our community, that pampers my babies, as they would be at home. From the check in to check out, when I rush in barely keeping it together, to the more leisurely pick up where I look through their awesome selection of chews, treats, and toys. Meyer’s is amazing!

I have brought my dog to Meyers for boarding 4-5 times now, and boarded/groomed 3 times over the past couple of years. Their normal rates for basic boarding are very reasonable (~$25/night as of the time of this review), but they offer LOTS of amenities; which always grab my attention. Walks/special treats/swimming/special housing/grooming/text message pictures. The staff are all friendly, and theyve just remodeled the place to give a lot more open space to the lobby. This is the only place in town where I can actually get someone to trim my dogs nails; I couldnt even get the vet to do it. They also have worked to fit me in, even when I give short notice (afternoon before).I can see how it might be inconvenient for people who ONLY want grooming from Meyers. The place is really geared towards people who can drop the dog off in the morning, and pick the dog up after work. Ive always had them groom my dog while he was being boarded, and have always been happy with the results.

The Meyers Kennel is a wonder place to take your dog. Their kennel is clean, their staff is very nice, and they are amazing groomers/trainers. I trust them whole heartedly with my dogs.

Worst experience ever. 1st off our dogs hot kennel cough which I get is a risk with boarding but they claimed beforehand that they would cover any expenses and then when I got the vet bill they would not pay and were very rude.

My dog currently stayed with Meyers for 7 days. Upon arrival we were not informed of many things. I had to call and ask for the things I was aware of and still got the short end of the stick. My dog came home with multiple sores on him, bloody paws, diarrhea, horse to the bark, itching like crazy, and possible kennel cough even though he was vaccinated a month ago.. I called Meyers and they had a excuse for everything blaming it on my dog. I am REALLY not impressed with how the staff handled his visit and how they addressed my concern. It was not his first time there and I should have stayed away from them from what I have heard other people say about them as it is. Please do not take your animal there. If I could leave less then 1 star I would. The vet my dog goes to was also shocked to hear about his stay and is concerned.

This is a grooming review only, did not board my dog. I have to say the staff that I dealt with was very nice however charges for services are very high.I called before I made an appointment and was told basic grooming for the size and weight of my dog starts at $44 and will go up based upon the actual needs.My actual charges were $50 for a basic grooming, and there was no matting or extensive grooming required, maybe 1/2 inch all around shave. I did not question the charges at the time as I did not think about it being higher then told as I forgot I had coupons applied, I noticed after I received my email invoice.I was also surprised that I had to leave my dog for almost 8 hours for a grooming, usually 90 minutes is all it takes at other groomers but as I was home this was not an issue.Considering what I spent on my dog I did not expect for her to smell like a kennel when we picked her up. While I did not spend extra for cologne or a blueberry facial I do not think a freshly bathed and groomed dog should smell bad.The grounds are very nice and like I said staff friendly however way overpriced and not worth the money paid. I had a coupon so I gave them a try, I do not intend to return though.

I was really excited to find Meyers Tails up Farm. Looked like a great place to board my dog while I went out of town for 2 days on business. However, I am very concerned that my dog was not adequately cared for while I was gone and will not return. I picked my dog up at 9 AM on Saturday morning. By this time in the morning I would expect that my dog would have been at least let out to go to the restroom once. However as soon as I took my dog out of the building he made a b-line for the grass and peed like he had not been to the bathroom in days (I know my dog well enough to know when he has not gotten to go to the bathroom in a while). Then I took my dog to petsmart where he proceeded to poop in the store. He has NEVER done this before in the 4 years I have had him. He does not poop in the house at all, so the fact that he would poop in a building tells me he had not been let out in quite some time. I will not return to Meyers Tails up Farm for boarding.

We went to Vegas for a week, and normally one of our three kids would watch after our dogs while we travel. Our kids are now all adults with their own responsibilities, so for the first time ever we had to leave or three Vizslas at a kennel. We chose Meyers after making a site visit and checking out their facilities. Colleen did a wonderful job of showing us around, and listening to our requirements, and alleviating our concerns.If you arent aware Vizslas are very high energy dogs, and very needy of affection and attention. Meyers walks the dogs, and we paid for them to have play time together everyday in a fenced in area, and they were supervised while playing, and we got pictures texted to us.Two of our dogs need pills every morning and evening, one of which is on medication for extreme separation anxiety, needless to say we were very worried of how she would do in a new environment with strangers. But, from all appearances from the communication we got from Meyers while gone, and from her appearance and temperament when we returned, she was left in very competent and caring hands.We look forward to our next trip in the fall to Sturgis knowing that we have a trusted and competent partner in the care of our dogs while we are away.

Our experience with Meyers Tails Up Farm is from boarding our Great Dane for 8 days while we went on vacation. We left him with enough food to get six cups of a food a day( a cup more a day then he gets at home), and while I understand that dogs can shed weight from being nervous in a boarding facility, he had dropped over ten pounds when we picked him up. He smelled HORRENDOUS. They are very forth right that if you dont pay basically double the rate for boarding, he doesnt get to play with the other dogs from day care and will stay in his kennel for the duration of the boarding. The entire time we were gone, we didnt get any reports that anything was wrong or that he had started losing a large amount of weight. When we started asking some questions about the amount of weight he had lost and how he could smell so badly when he no interaction with other dogs, we got some very surprising answers.The Boarding facility states that they close at 6pm every day, which I took to mean the front door gets locked and the dogs start getting settled in for dinner and end of day routine. No. Not the case at all. By 615pm every night ALL of the staff leaves, meaning some dogs will have gotten their last bathroom break for the night up to an hour before that. Not a single staff member is there all night, and they do not return until 7am. When asked how this could possibly be safe, they mentioned that some one lives in the house that shares the property and that If something was really wrong, they could probably hear them barking or something. On top of that, that means that any dog that boards there is supposed to hold if for over 12 hours. They have no where to let themselves out, and if your dog is larger it also means they have no way to not lay in accident all night, from not being able to hold it for 12-14 hours. Personally I feel like this is boarder line neglect if not abuse, no animal should be forced to lay all night in a mess because you cant be bothered to let them out at night at a normal time for a dog before bed.We also showed up to pick him up at 10am, when asked if he had eaten breakfast the lady up front told us he hadnt finished all his food and we might want to feed him again when we got home. When brought out to us, he was also brought with his un-opened prepackaged breakfast we had put together. They hadnt feed him at all yet. While it seems like a minor thing, do not lie to my face about whether my dog had gotten food. He eats twice a day and that would have meant I took him home and didnt feed him until dinner time.I will NEVER board here again, much less use their day care. I cant believe they are even still in business. I dont know how anyone could feel safe boarding their dogs here when they show such little regard for how they care for your animals.
